Oops, a bit late. At any rate, I'm not officially connected with the reborn wiki, that's pretty much solely a fan-propagated project. So please feel free to contribute as much as you'd like, I think. ^^

All TMs have been moved around and are now obtainable before E19 content. They've all been reset for older files too so you shouldn't be able to miss anything if you didn't get it before. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well two of those things you don't need to wait for postgame for one of those things is definitely happening and one i've still got to care enough about to learn in the first place.

There's nothing wrong with talking about debug or mentioning it in a case like that. It just shouldn't be proposed as one of the first solutions to an otherwise manageable problem.

Apologies for the downtime earlier... Unfortunately, we suffered an unexpected security breach. ...Tbh I'm not really entirely sure how that happened, but whatever the case we're back online and I've taken the opportunity to upgrade the server environment and make some adjustments for performance and security... So hopefully none of that will happen again. I can only imagine the recent slowness and downtime we've had in the last couple days has also been a result of the same group trying to hack into the site, but... With any luck, today's changes will put an end to that too. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. While we're all here in the announcement section, there is one matter that we should also mention. As of today, we're adding a new warning and guildeline for the site-- for 'Debug Dealing'. Before anyone panics, I'll say upfront: We're not outlawing debug mode. Y'all are still welcome to use it and play however you want, and even share it when it is needed. However, what we want to ask is that when it comes to players who are new to the game and community, please give them a chance to play the game for itself as intended before recommending they solve whatever problem that have with debug mode. If it's something that can't be done normally-- great, debug away. But for many of the cases we've seen, it hasn't been needed, and when it's suggestion #1 (or 2, or 3...) it can really take away from the core experience. The accompanying warning is worth 0 points, as an ettiquette warning, and is just a tap on the shoulder to say "hey, please don't. thanks," If you have any questions about that, please also feel free to ask here or ask a staff member directly. That's all-- once again, sorry about the downtime. And enjoy the new version!

i never weak!!! cookies have no pull on m-- wait, did you say chocolate we're done with AI for now. i hope. probably not. cries.

so, we've finally finished cleaning up from our several supervised test periods, and we're shipping off to internal. but for those who haven't heard, we are not doing a full test cycle right now-- internal will be the last test. the purpose here is just to make sure that if we for any reason have to drop the project and release as-is, the main story will at least not be horribly bug ridden for y'all. we'll have another full test cycle again (one that will probably span eons) once postgame is complete. that said! it's been a minute since i talked about some of our new features and changes. let's start with the thing i've been screaming about. hint: it's AI. we've made a number of improvements and fixes to a lot of facets of it, but there's two things in particular that have really just knackered my knickers: the first is what we've just started referring to as the 'speed bug'. basically, there was a certain line of code used in default essentials that, when we reworked AI, we reused a lot. it speed like a nice, strapping young line of code, and we had no reason whatsoever to think it might be completely broken. so naturally, it was, and we copied it into 200 places. this caused the AI to basically always think it was faster than the player, even when it definitely was not, which as you might imagine, has caused a lot of issues and a lot of emotional pain. this has now been fixed, unleashing never-before-seen chambers of code into the wild for the first time. that can come with its own issues. basically: aaaaaaa the second we just discovered a couple days ago. let's call it the 'switch-reversal bug'. basically, when deciding what pokemon to switch in, the parts of the code that checked type effectiveness got switched around. thus, it has been intentionally sending in pokemon with bad type match ups the entire time. this was an easy fix, but also frankly it's amazing that switching has worked well enough to this point that it wasn't completely obvious but. here we are. those are the big bois but like even aside from those i've been fixing dozens of case issues for the last week or two. it's gonna be good. or i'm gonna cry. what else! check this out: by popular demand, we've merged the multi-move mod into the main project! Huge shoutout to @Waynolt for getting this going and letting us adapt it. We've also made some convenience improvements that you can see in the above gif-- Instead of selecting each pokemon through the menu, you can just hold Ctrl when you select them to automatically add them to the multi-move queue. We've fixed some other misc things too, the fishing animation that's been missing for years, some PULSEs have been buffed, and we found an issue with hidden power where the player's hidden powers weren't actually properly set to the static 60 BP even though we tried to change that before. Very sorry about that, guys :c One more update for you today. This one comes from our animator Vulpes, and it's exactly what the move deserved: That's more or less where we're at. So since we're not moving on to later stages of testing, there's no set end date to internal-- we'll just fix stuff as we go and as we work. And thus, internal will simply evaporate into the distance, as must I.

For the record guys, I usually don't let myself count for nominations. Nominate other people!! This is for you all, not me! (Thanks anyway though )

nevermind the party is cancelled.

No plans for that, since it is stated that goal for restoration would be within the next couple years in-game time... I.e not within game's playable scope. However, there is one individual who was making a mod and afaik plans to continue it after e19 so you can do just that
-
Definitely! We've been working on new animations the entire time and Smeargle already did post one earlier in this thread. I've been a little slow with marking them complete due to tunnel vision though, lol... Don't worry, they won't be anywhere without reason. We've got Battle Tower but there isn't really code support for anything fancier than that Also I did promise y'all earlier I'd put up at least one screenshot once we got to post game, so here you go. I'll be hanging onto others for once we're actually closer to being done. Progress may hang for a little bit as we do testing for the main episode by the way, postgame development will start properly once that's complete.

Welcome back, pimps AND players, to that time of the year again-- when the world is getting ready to literally melt your face off because the sun has forgotten how to do anything but enter maximum overdrive and half of the political spectrum is still convinced that global warming isn't real. What better way to celebrate the approach of this ever-miserable season than with our classic annual summer par-tay? And you're invited! That's right, you! Like last year, we've got a special set of events lined up for you all! Mark your calendars-- this year's summer social is on June 29th, starting from 2p EST or 7p GMT+1 straight through for the next 12 hours! Or more, if y'all want. It sure went overtime in the winter, and that's a-okay. Here's our schedule of events, with descriptions for each one below: Without further ado!: Main Events Main Movie Feature: Your Name As has been running tradition for summer parties, we'll be doing a group anime movie showing! This year's pick is Makoto Shinkai's masterpiece, Kimi no Na wa, or Your Name! This movie has reached the #2 ranked spot on MyAnimeList, so if you haven't had a chance to see it yet, or just want to give it a well-deserved rewatch, this moment is for you! We'll have two showings, one early and late to ensure that anyone interested can make it regardless of timezone. And now, we cut to MAL for the movie's summary: Murder Mystery Event It's back! But only completely different. Whereas last year's Murder Mystery took the form of a hasty phoenix wright mod due to some last minute technical issues, we'll be writing this year's scenario from the ground up! Details are yet to come but we'll be basing the format off of the old Nonary games that once ran in the old PO days. It won't be running seven hours like before, as there is simply not enough party time for all of that ( :[ ), but we're working to deliver a fresh Discord-based cooperative, competitive multiplayer murder experience! Party Quirk Battle Royale-- a new event! It's 2019 and you know what that means: everything has to have a battle royale mode! Inspired by the famous Whose Line Is It Anyway anyway game "Party Quirks", we're adapting the format into a more widely playable text-based game! Each player is assigned a secret "quirk" that they have to act out ( BNHA fans don't interact ), all the while trying to guess the other player's quirks. If a player's quirk is guessed, they're O-U-T. A panel of judges will be on standby to make sure that all competitors are active and living up to their quirk's potential as well-- failure to do so will result in an out as well. Fight on to the last partier standing to claim the winning prize for your own! Reborn Royalty The classic popularity contest returns! Vote in your favorite users for the categories of 2019 Ember King, Midsummer Queen, and Sunlit Sovereign! As before, we'll be accepting nominations before the party, and then voting will happen on the day of! Results will be announced then and there and we'll take a moment to appreciate our three winners! Please note that unlike previous years, nominations are not open as of the start of this topic. We'll make a new topic calling for nominations on June 22nd! From then you have one week to get your nominations in before voting on the day of the party. The categories of Ember King, Midsummer Queen, and Sunlit Sovereign are intended to be for men, women, and nonbinary individuals respectively, but this has never been an enforced guideline and you are welcome to vote whoever you like for any category Except Azery. Azery is banned from this year's contest. Game Room Curses One of our most popular games in recent years, Curses pits players against each other in an increasingly spiteful, yet increasingly hilarious competition that is almost as fun to watch as it is to play. Each turn players ask and answer questions from each others, all the while slinging curses of their own construction at each other one at a time! A curse can be anything within practicality that we can visually verify, such as having to change nickname each time someone says 'question', or having to include the species name of a mosquito at the end of each line. The biggest limit is your creativity in how you can curse your competition, while still holding up your own ever-increasing stack of curses! Curses will have both an early and late session, but please keep in mind that due to the time a game typically takes, games are limited to around eight players. Mad Libs A tree house classic! Fill in the blank with whatever zany, <adjective> phrases you memers can come up with and then watch the chaos unfold and <verb> into a hysterical clusterfuck of <adverb> <adjective> <plural nouns>. We'll have no shortage of <adjective> <plural nouns> for you to <verb>, so make sure you don't miss out on this <excalamation>-fest! Jeopardy "What is Jeopardy?" I'll take Game Descriptions for 300. The classic answer-question game returns with all new categories and all new questions for our eager competitors. Ask your way to the top in this not-so-trivial trivia turnabout! For the single highest-scoring winner of this game, a prize will be included as well! Newlyweds This returns from last year! Pair up and square up with a randomly assigned partner in this nice-to-meet-you, get-to-know-you game of communication. Answer questions about and with each other to impress the judges and assert dominance over all the other pairs! This is the definition of a power couple! A prize is included for our nearest and dearest winners here as well! Never Have I Finally, our late night no-holds-barred all-exploit round robin! It's been years and no one's still quite sure whether you win or lose by being the first or last to 0 points left, but who cares? Take your points into your name and let's do this thing! We do not promise that this won't get raunchy. In fact, we promise that it will. We know you hooligans have no restraint anyway. And finally, the usual... Hunger Games, Town of Salem, Cards against Humanity, Board Game Online and even Jackbox showdowns are all highly likely to happen in this ever-volatile environment! We'll be providing free use rooms for you all in the party server, so feel free to kick up one of these games or hop in one whenever you feel like the going is just too slow. And don't forget, DJ Godot Wolf (that's his proper first and last name right ???) is here to hook you up with all of the latest boppin' bumps and slammin' jams! the music channel will be running through the party for all to enjoy! Everyone is welcome to the midsummer madness! Whether you stay for one event or all of them, we're looking forward to seeing you there! Nominations will open on June 22nd and not a minute sooner, and the main event hits home on June 29th. Save the date! It won't save you. The party is on! https://discord.gg/rYa7Sn

E19 won't be released until all animations for all moves are complete. That'll be part of the post-game scoreboard. The graphics touched up were nothing that's appeared in game yet, but old stuff from the league for the trainers you hadn't fought yet. Just polishing them a bit for their appearance.

come drop by and say hi sometime, okay? until then, thanks for having been an irreplaceable part of this community

their blind jubilation will be their undoing

I have some screenshots, but I've been holding out on most of them since it's still much too early to start building hype when we haven't quite breached postgame yet... Still, I suppose it has been a while. Perhaps when we hit the end of main story. intentional. it's not nightclub-- that's postgame-- but there's still stuff left to do.

Danganronpa 2 Mafia: Despair Island Remix (Day 3)
Amethyst replied to Bok Choi's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Well, this is going nowhere, isn't it... It is rude to leave such an affair hanging for so long. Until such time as Sir Bok Choi would like to confirm whether or not Mechamaru's protection can be switched, I will simply do this... [Eliminate] Alistair ...because supposing it can be changed is a rather convenient excuse to let oneself back out of not having protected a spotless Peko, isn't it? -

Amethyst replied to Bok Choi's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
This logic appears to me to be rather strange... Knowing that Miss Nicki was rather adamantly defending Sir Amber, who flipped mafia, is that not more suspicious than simply being unable to 'get a read'? I would very much like to believe in her apology, but I do not believe this should be looked over in the grand theme of themes! Are you very positive that you still retain the ability to create chats? Nothing about it it is said in your transformation's description, but the past tense of 'created' suggested to me that the chat at the time of your death then became permanent. This seems a hasty assumption to make. Since the role has already been revealed, perhaps @Bok Choi would be willing to clarify for us whether or not he retains that ability? To be able to switch guarded targets would be quite strong indeed... Indeed, last night I visited Lykos and Alistair. It seemed prudent to me, for the sake of hedging my bets, to prioritize those students who have abilities that help them not die... aside from dear Cass, I suppose. -

I have not yet visited Sir Lykos. Miss Caimie already posted that she received it. The other student I bet on was dear Cass. However, we know how that turned out... -
Danganronpa 2 Mafia: Despair Island Remix (Day 3)
Amethyst replied to Bok Choi's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
I believe it is nothing that could not already be inferred, so I do not mind. Monokuma's win condition post-transformation was to inflict despair onto every living student. At that point he wins the game. I do not inflict despair, but overflow the other players with hope. Similarly to he, when all players have been afflicted, I will exit the game peacefully. Although I appreciate the offer of assistance, drawing the game out with even one mafia surviving could be quite risky. Truthfully, I do not particularly wish for a drawn out game. I lament to admit that several factors have lead me to approach this game with a sense of apathy... After all, it is not particularly valuable to me who is left in the end, whether they're mafia or not. All I have to do is hedge my bets night by night on who is most likely to survive. It is not particularly compelling, especially for one such as myself who is more drawn to the aspect of killers, to be so far removed from it. But there is no helping that now, so I do not mind whatever happens. I will be happy to be of service to my people as much as I am able to! -
Danganronpa 2 Mafia: Despair Island Remix (Day 3)
Amethyst replied to Bok Choi's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Naturally, I could not receive hope shards as you've said. I do find it strange, that he might willingly dance for my favor though, after he has rather adamantly been insisting that I am so 'evil' as he said... Would he not prefer to be the benefactor of one whom he had more trust in? Nevertheless I lament that I could not have been worthy of your attention as a leader after all. While I do not agree with the methods at play here... given that Sir Bean's actions are so traditionally nonsensical, and that Sir Amber's behavior here is in stark contrast to his innocent behavior in the previous game, I am inclined to agree that Sir Amber is the more suspicious individual. Of course, as Yahy has said before, it does not benefit me to vote for the most guilty individuals, as my win condition requires drawing out the game longer. Nevertheless, as a princess I have a responsibility to do what I believe is right! Even if it means I throw away my chance of winning as a third party, I will act as is becoming of my stature! [Reveal] Gundham [Vote] Amber Is it awkward to kill one's inspiratory namesake? Oh my... -
Danganronpa 2 Mafia: Despair Island Remix (Day 3)
Amethyst replied to Bok Choi's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Silence! @Yahy, I cannot help but feel that this current scenario you've contrived is at best a formality, and at worst sacrificing of the town's most important roles for minimal gain! I believe we had already established earlier on that there would be no benefit to forcing people to roll claim, as role provides valuable information to the blackened, but no benefit about alignment to us. Although you are not doing that, given that no blackened will admit to being one, it has the same effect. You have already outed our Kazuichi... much as I am loathe to admit his utility. Process of elimination may do enough damage as is, but this absolutely should not go further! On a different note, naturally, it was obvious who I was. As Makoto Naegi, I will liberate you from the throws of this evil and restore hope to all the land! Though I do understand that the restriction to only be able to use 5-shard items is somewhat limiting... I ask for your sincere forgiveness while I undertake this task! For the good of all my people, I will see to it that hope spreads once more! I apologize for not being forthright about my role sooner. Since Newt had died, I felt I had nothing either to gain or lose by doing so, so I went with the path of least resistances. -

If I may, just which character do you believe I am?
