A few peculiarities I've noticed wrt strong winds/sky field: When Tailwind is used on Sky Field when the overworld is not windy, it creates a mysterious air current, which then disappears immediately. Cloud Nine only cancels weather effects in sky field if the Cloud Nine Pokemon is sent out first at the start of battle, because that script is located at the battle initialization instead of when Pokemon or sent out or in each round. I don't know if this one is a bug because I'm confused and it's made me question everything-- using any super effective move against flying targets gets annulled to neutral effectiveness, even if it would normally be super effective against the other typing. I.e Ice Punch vs Dragonite goes from 4x > 1x instead of 4x > 2x. This isn't how I would expect wind to work, but I can't find a canon confirmation as to if it does. On the other hand, I thought I remembered us fixing something like this in Reborn. So now I'm not sure if I'm misremembering, or if we did fix it and y'all didn't fix, or if we did fix it and shouldn't have, or what. halp.

Lowbrow yugioh memes aside, we've got a minor update to the community expectations this evening, and as you might already have guessed, it pertains to the usage of the word 'trap' as referring to the trope of characters who supposedly 'trick' others into assuming something based on a feminine presentation. For the past while, we allowed this word to describe fictional characters only as an archetype, but as language and its contexts change, so must we. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation now officially considers the term a slur, and it's been looked down on in more and more communities, and for good reason, given that it has no shortage of problematic implications, many of which have been harmful for trans individuals even in fictional contexts. Naturally, in striving to create a community where all kinds of people can feel accepted, we'll be keeping pace with this change. So, as of this post, any usage of the word in reference to real or fictional persons will be considered as a violation of rule 4 (and it has accordingly been added to the incomplete guide list on it). the fact that all of this stuff is coming to light and having actual consequences is like, halle-fucking-lujah for me, because obvious i'm really like, #MeToo, and opposed to this shit that i've been around and part of all of my goddamn life in principle but with vic mignon in particular like i've already knew this was going on because one of my good friends had also been targeted by him. i believe she was 16 when she met him at an anime convention and while i don't feel it's appropriate to share details, everything she told me about what he was doing was hella not okay. and to do that to anyone is not okay, but it's even worse to be treating the girls who look up to him, like that. aside from all the obvious stuff that it takes away from them, it's even taking away their experience of being able to watch or enjoy the shows that led them to appreciate him in the first place-- without flinching at the sound of his voice or that memory. and let's be very clear, he is an adult, and he knows better. the reason he does it anyway is because he thinks he's above consequences. and for a long time, maybe he was right. it's about time he felt some damn consequences. not that i'm saying this is enough, either. ...and this isn't even the voice actor i'd most like to be taken down tbh. one at a time i guess...
