You don't have to be a competitive battler, you just have to think about what the post actually contributes to the topic. Like, sharing optimistic messages is great and all, but when the discussion is about a game release or league highlights, you know, that doesn't really... relate. Saying 'jesus is the answer' to someone looking for something in a game doesn't help at all. Posts like these that are off-topic or don't add anything to the discussion, especially when they're only a few words long, do little but clutter the forum, and in most web-communities, including this one, it is a rule of general etiquette to make more substantive posts. You're not the only one who's made these mistakes, and you're not the only one on mod-preview. But it is something to be worked on.

It's kind of a double-edged sword. On one hand, having everything condensed into these topics means fewer random single-use topics. On the other hand, it also makes answers harder to find, so if a person searching the forum doesn't want to sort through all 19 pages to see if what they were looking for was asked already, they either just : ask it again, making that topic messy and disoraganised, orrrrr make a new topic. The benefit of having individual topics is it's easier for new people to see if questions have already been asked, and keeps the threads organised if there are further questions on the same matter.

Uh... I don't know the specifications on those backgrounds etc however I know the way PO used to be was that it could only call files locally i.e those backgrounds all come with PO and are on each users' computer The trainer cards, however, are obviously not :/ That would be a really cool feature but I don't think it's doable

You've just gotta have a Trainer Card before you can make your sprite otherwise there's nothing for the sprite to go on. Welcome though!
