Geo,
I don't like what happened. Given your actions, I can't disagree with Ikaru's decision, but that doesn't mean I like it. Despite your unruly attitude, you've been one of our top contributors, even beside helping to establish Excessum, so regardless of however much trouble you... admittedly, have consistently caused for us, I'm still sorry to see you go. I am sorrier to hear that that's how you feel about the site, given that the only thing we're trying to do is make this a, you know, decently positive and enjoyable environment. And I am sorrier still to know that's how you feel about me, because I... actually thought we were cool. Silly me, right?
But, none of what I'm saying by any means excuses you. Ikaru is right; you can't be an exception, and I had been far to lenient on you in the past. The dissonance between then and the standard we're setting now is at least in part at fault for this, and so for that I apologize. That aside, please know that you have chosen this. So, you were mad. One must learn to control their anger. Now that's multiplied by the consequence of an impulse, and I imagine that can't feel very good either. I would say to talk to us once you've taken some time off and cooled down, but... You will change for no one, you say. I don't get clinging to pride, or to a stagnant sense of identity... In some regard, it is good to know who you are without the pressure of anyone around you. Maybe that's a true self-knowledge than anything else.
But, my parting advice is this: Don't be afraid to change for yourself. For your own sake. I wouldn't ask you to change for us; we're fleeting faces across an infinity of network connections. We don't matter. And yet, you had a home here. It's difficult to adopt a new life; I would know. If leaving this place doesn't work for you, then change. For you. Some of the others might disagree with me on this, but I would be willing to humour allowing your eventual return if and only if you do show some serious improvement.
However, if you keep on here with comments like those to Ashley and Hark, I will have to ban you from even the forums. And then there wouldn't be much hope of that at all.
So, you know, stop. This is your only warning.
Mostly, just, take care.
To everyone else,
It's sad to see someone who was friends with quite a few of us go, but there's really no two ways about this. Scarlet did us the favor of posting the exact log, so it's pretty plain to see that, sorry to say, he was asking for it, nearly literally. It doesn't have to be a big dramatic hooplah; it probably shouldn't. All we can do is wish him the best.
