There is no strategy available to the leaders that is not also available to you. As far as counter-teaming, by the way? You didn't use counter-teams. You found new ways to use the same team, which I believe is not only perfectly legitimate, but probably a good practice.

With clever prediction, however, priority encore allows you to get the jump when switching into set-up pokemon, or even absorbing statuses repeatedly with a sub's support. Hurricane is there to take out opposing grass types. Even with no SpA investment, a 120 base power flying move does a number. Use with Rain to get the never-miss bonus!
