Guess what guys?! Thanks to the efforts of Hyperlisk and BetterLeftUnsaid, we have a server now! Check out the "Reborn Server" when you click Go Online from the PO Client~ This server will be used for the Reborn League, as well as all PO-hosted site tournaments. Beyond that, you're encouraged to use the server for your own casual battles, or just for hanging out and chatting in. Since we finally have a server, this means that the Reborn League is finally open! I will wait in the lobby of the server as much as possible, starting Monday. Contact me to issue a challenge. PokePlace Reborn's fourth official tournament is announced. Taking place on the weekend of July 17th, this tournament will be held on the Reborn Server, and will be taking place in the style of the VGC tournaments! What's the VGC? It's the [b]V[/b]ideo [b]G[/b]ame [b]C[/b]hampionship- the official Pokemon tournament. [url="http://www.pokemonvgc.com/en/regulations.php"]Don't know the rules? Check it~![/url] Mind, we will -not- be restricting nicknames or game cartridges as specified on that page. You are free to use whatever names or games you please. Don't feel like reading all that? ...Hi. So, T3 isn't actually a Pokemon Tournament. I'm sorry guys. Yeah. I've sunk low. T3 is an advertising tournament, hence why it's going to run parallel to Tournaments 2 and 4-7. The simple fact is, tournaments require people to be successful, and people is something that we, being a new site, are low on. Therefore, I encourage you all to go out and convince any and all of your Pokemoning Friends, be they competitive-worthy or otherwise, to join-- Rules: 1. Each person you get to join must post in this topic saying who roped them in. Only then does it count as a point for you 2. If there's a tie in points, both people will get that prize 3. Anybody who earns a point will be authorized to run a tournament of their choosing, if they so please. The winner may also choose any Pokemon, with moves, an item and stats as they please to be given to them. 4. Starbucks isn't hiring. Not one of the three Starbucks (all located within a block of each other) by my house is. And sadly, you basically have to be bilingual to work at a fast food place around here. Which I am not, at all. I can say I don't speak Spanish in Spanish. That's about it. And I don't have a car, so I basically am limited to what I can bike to around here. +got out of chores for today because my mother's life was completely derailed this morning -? my mothers life was completely derailed this morning.

-my mother is getting psycho about me getting a job --nowhere is hiring ---so now she's making me do chores for eight hours at a time at home until i do ----and i'm not allowed to go out -----nor am I getting paid for it ------nor did it stay to only eight hours today -------nor do I basically have any freedom in what I do now --------i don't qualify for a lot of jobs because i'm not 18 yet ---------and even when i turn 18, my mom is now saying she's not going to let me move out. ----------*sigh*

...Rather than crowding up Whatcha Doing? Anyway, let's see... I started with Bulbasaur and friends, which thanks to beating up Dave a few times, collecting some mail rewards early, and the punching bag known as Imakuni, is already very well off. Basing it off of one of my real decks, I've made a deck centering around the poison status, the Dark Venom Deck. It's bi-colored, Grass and Psychic... Currently, it operates as such: Nidorino and Kadabra are the main attack force for straight damage, each dealing a clean 50, while Ivysaur and Tangela power up in the back ranks to use their Poison moves... In the event of Venasaur, its ability makes it all that much easier to shift energy around from the Poisoners to Nidorino, to set up for Nidoking, who roars in with a deadly Toxic attack, dealing double poison damage each turn. And finally, Alakazam's Damage Swap protects the fighters while the enemy is slowly rotting away... The next addition will be to get my fillers, like Jynx and Mew out, replace with material to build up to Gengar, who's Curse ability can be used to spread the poison damage to the back ranks as well. Yes, I've got this all figured out. Incidentally, I have plenty of Gengar. It's Haunter that I lack. >.>; So, anyone else have any favorite decks?

And I always seem to draw Oak in conjunction with a fancy Stage 2. Two Medals down so far, Rock and Fighting of course, starting on Grass.... Later.

You can fight Fighting any time as long as you beat those guys. I think they're in the Rock, Fire and Grass club places. And yeah, but she just doesn't have a lot of cards atm.

Hi Ice! Chiramii- Cute, but do we really need more mice... Muuna- Yay for a dream eater pokemon, but uh, the design hurts me. Gear- Not horrible. Okay, I think it has potential. Mamepato- Not only does it look like Starly, it's in Honchkrow's signature pose, and based on the same bird as Pidgey. Fail. Hihidaruma- Another one who's design hurts. Shimama- I like this one. I hope it doesn't stay pure Electric though. Meguroko- New type combination, but not a great one... The eyes are weird too. All I can say is that this generation better have some badass evolutions for these guys.

New Why: Why is Koga's Gym full of Drowzee, Hypno and Kadabra, when there were about over 9000 poison types to pick from in the first generation?

The cubone one was called "School of Hard Knocks," and the school was the Pokemon Technical Institute. Sound familiar? Also, everyone cried at the Pikachu episose. If they didn't, they don't have a soul.

Gotta say, I'm not huge fan of the starters, and Pokabu makes me want to shred a teddy bear (shreddy bear?) but I do like Zoroark even if it is just another Lucario, and I have no problem with the legendaries. Then again, this is coming from someone who's never seen digimon. Can someone tell me exactly what about them resembles digimon?

o no u di'nt~ Rock is -definitely- the easiest, coming from someone who's replayed starting with every kind of deck, a few different times. Grass is pretty easy, especially if you have the Charmander deck, but with her Squirtle deck, that's probably not the easiest to go next. I say Fighting because it's not -difficult- sans having to know where to look for his underlings, and it'll give her more Fighting Energy which she can add to her deck and ultimately use to take on the Electric Club, which would be her type's greatest challenge. Meanwhile, caught myself a Staryu, so along with Exeggute I'm training up to speed Starmie too. 99 trainers to kill on this route, 99 trainers to kill... Give one a shout, beat him in a shut-out, 98 trainers to kill on this route...

Two badges later, and the team is coming along swimmingly. Getting ready to take on Koga, who really should be a breeze, but the problem lies in wading through the 9000+ trainers that lurk between Celadon/Lavender and Fuscia. Ugggghhh. Bad move, Lara. The Fire Club leader won't face you until you have so many cards. If I remember correctly, it should be about the time you have three or four medals. Rock is definitely the way to start, but you're probably best off moving to Science or Fighting next. In LeafGreen, I got a couple more HMs, and started training up a freshly caught Exeggcute. I've decided to run to a SubSeed set on it, but I haven't decided a fourth move yet... Giga Drain's recovery with the beast Sp.A sounds nice, but it also makes me completely unable to hit grass types. On the other hand I have the rest of the team for that. Hm...
