Well... pretty much like it says, you'll need to take a look at your PBS/pokemon.txt file. Something was probably kerjiggled in there and ended up on the wrong line. See if you can find the incorrect entry (you know it's a Pokemon in the Monster and Grass egg groups) and compare it to the instructions for defining Pokemon from the Essentials wiki.

Actually, blue moon ice cream is a real flavor. It -is- pretty hard to get even IRL though. I didn't even know about it until I had some in a dream once (and it was the best goddamn dream ice cream, let me tell you). Then I looked it up in the morning and discovered it was actually a thing. If it tastes anything like it did there... mmmm.

Just because of the way it's set up, this idea isn't entirely practical off-hand. However, I agree with the sentiment about events. To compensate for this, as of E14 the Pokemon you get from eggs around the region hatch with some certain useful Egg Moves. I would -love- to do that with Event Pokemon as well, but there's a drawback. The only reason I can do that with the eggs is because they don't go to the box right away-- they have to be put into the player's party. Event Pokemon, however, can be sent to the box automatically, and I think most people will agree with me that making the player go deposit a Pokemon any time they want to pick up something new would be exceedingly tedious, and would actually probably result in a fewew number of new things being picked up. But if I don't make the player do that, I can't give them special moves. Soooo it's kind of a lose-lose...

Unfortunately for the world, Ame is totally impulsive and once she gets excited about an idea she loses all sense of reason. I'm not going to promise to update this regularly or even finish it... But it might be fun to keep going every now and then. I'll also try and make it accessible to people who aren't fans of the DR series as is.

It would have been different. With our custom shinies, one thing I've -mostly- maintained a habit of doing is making the shiny colors for Pokemon that get PULSE forms, match those forms. If you want an idea of what I had in mind for PULSE Camerupt, check out its shiny sprite, and imagine something a little more... infected, than that.

...does that mean there IS one? I was saying I should fix there not being one.

Note to self, fix that...

What would you want to see added to the game in the future?

>if you don't mind putting SD off lol. It wouldn't make much of a game, but it might be fun to write as a non-canon story in my spare time. -

......actually does it still count as fanfiction if the writer is the original creator too because i have a legitimately unhealthy obsession with this series and this sounds really fun -

speaking of dangan ronpa... i'll tell you what -i- want to see in the game in the future the 18 typed leaders each wake up one by one in an inescapable replica of the opal ward, having lost all memory of how they got there... they're only told that if they wish to leave they must graduate by killing another and getting away with it at the trial. upupupupupupu............ i mean, this isn't going to happen... but a girl can dream, right? -
...actually i secretly converted to the cain fan club a little bit ago myself........... oops.

I'd just like everyone to know Kuro is sooooo awesome and we should all praise xem.

Moved. I don't think I need to say anything about this topic.

YES HELLO NOW THAT I AM DONE WITH SPRITES I CAN DO MORE SPRITES All right, we're getting there. Firstly, I think we can get a bit more contrast within the shades of white we have there. Currently it seems kind of grey over all and it's hard to tell the shades apart. Also, as I've boxed out, we lose the definition on the outline, so now that we got the top of the outline set, we need to pull in a bit of a darker shade to the other bits of the outline of the white section to make it look crisp. With the plantish growth parts, we definitely got the moss color down, but I'm reconsidering the idea now since it clashes poorly. Once the white section is brighter (and whiter) we'll have some room for brightness, so let's try making those moss-segments a more vivid gold? Finally, what do you guys think about Regigigas' eye colors? We could go all white, all gold, we could use the Reborn colours again... I don't have strong feelings, but the three shades we've got in there now seem arbitrary. Thoughts? Heatran, Lickilicky, Lumineon, Drif-line, Mespirit saved. When I talk about contrast, it's the difference in value between shades. If we're increasing contrast, lighter shades should be lighter, and darker shades should be darker. Quite a bit more so still for both of the silver and gld here. In fact with the gold, you could also try leaving the lightest shade where it is currently and taking a new almost-white color and using it as a highlight, to make those metal bits look like they're reflecting light a bit. Same with the associated sprites. Combee, grumpy cat, Cranidos lines, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Munchlax saved. I think either of those Chatot options are good, and in sympathy to the unrelenting comments about "all Reborn shinies are black", I'm inclined to go with the parrotesque one. If there aren't any objections, I'll save that. Cherry line sprites are beautiful. I officially relent on the pachi concept, let's just go with a different suggestion. Rhyperior saved. I still like this Froslass best personally. If we're going to fo with this one we should fix up the outlines. The boxed areas are just examples of where the outline doesn't quite match, but it applies to much of the rest of the sprite as well. Make sure the outline around the silver part is also silver. As for the inner outline of the rings, that yellow color takes on a green tone, whereas the ring color was moving to orange, so the outline-yellow should lean towards orange rather than green The same is true of only the yellow-outline for the back sprite. Drapion line saved. We have a lot of Manaphys to pick from. I like the green one personally. Other thoughts? I prefer the non-inverted stunky line, mostly because it clashes with the face awkwardly on the others... but as was pointed out later, the lack of contrast in the white shades could be skewing that. In regards to dragon in nights stunk/glameow lines, remember that we can't use 1x resolution spriting. I.e any edits have to be done at 100% resolution, and then taken up to 200% effectively doubling the size of all pixels. Both the grumpy cat and the two-face cat use 1x spriting on the faces, and that won't work. However if we correct that issue, I think that rendition of grumpy cat is better than the existing ones, and we could prefer it. Obamasnow line saved; both campaigns won. Nsupem's Buizel line is great. Also taking the Spiritomb and Voltorb. The Regigas is interesting, and I'm not opposed to it but unless there's great favor for it I'd sooner stick to our themed one. Togekiss saved. I really like the varied-metal bronzong-- should we use the gold the silver bronzor with it? I'm thinking Silver. All of the Palkias look pretty good. I'm leaning towards the blue one to keep the reverse theme, but the third one is good too. Thoughts? I -really- like the Autumn torterra concept, even over the initial cherry blossom, or the stone ones. That version of Goku-Infernape is looking really nice to me too. I'd like to see those filled out for the rest of the line and backs and I'd have no reservations going with those. Garchomp I'm not sold on-- I think given the 'badass' nature of the pokemon, red/black will be more appealing to Garchomp fans. Bonsly and Mime Jr saved. Keep it up everyone! I'll update the list on the front once i get this all sorted, shouldn't be long

wait people are really upset with the ahri changes??? no longer having to depend on charm to burst a target is actually a huge benefit because she has a strength beside her now and jesus christ does she go fast with that Q, plus the foxfire changes actually make csing quite a bit easier not to mention speeds up her dps a bit even aside from the numbers increase i mean NOW she's going to get nerfed and i will cry but in the mean time i'll be over here spamming ahri what do you mean permaban status again :c

i cry. that's what happens.

The tragedy of 3D technology is a desperate lack of canon sprites for newer Pokemon and form changes. Senior members of the community might remember the long period between Episodes 9 and the 9.5 release (I, personally, do not remember it; I blacked it out as a trauma coping mechanism a long time ago). As it turns out, with a new batch of Megas, it's been the same story now. I've been putting ORAS Mega sprites, along with a few outstanding etceteras we were missing such as this gen's event legendaries, basically since Episode 14 release. Yes, it's taken that long. No, I'm not okay. But as of today, I'm glad to say, YES, WE ARE DONE WITH THEM. If I'm to be perfectly honest, I've done almost nothing else for the past month and a half besides work on these damn things. E15 may as well not be started at all, because these have taken so much time. Now that they're set, I'm finally free to move onto bigger and better things-- you know, like, making the actual game. Crazy, right? That said, I don't have nothing to show for it at this point. Check out the videos below for a very very sped-up version of what the process of making these things looks like, using two different examples. ...back sprites aren't as exciting, but I didn't think about making demonstrations until after I had finished all the fronts. ("oops"). That might be a good thing anyway since, on average, back-sprites tend to be a reliable 5x easier than fronts because they're generally less detailed, and we can use the silhouette-flip trick as shown in the first video. Nonetheless. With this out of the way, I can actually start making some progress on 14.5, and hopefully we can get it to you guys before too long. In the mean time, hang onto a few of the sprites I've been working on over the past forever.

If you were the developer of Pokémon Reborn

I don't think I'm going to go -that- crazy, but the free-use teleport Tauros doesn't sound like a terrible idea. Maybe one that takes you from the open area with Fern's sign to the Nature Center, and then one from the Grand Gates to that sign. There is. Noted. She says and thinks so but there is the possibility that she is bad and wrong. It's a bit tricky; basically what I did was I cut away some subtle lines of tall grass, so if I didn't muk up the player should be able to just slip through in a few deceptive-looking places. However if we go with the above idea, that won't be necessary anyway. -
I actually happened to run into a T-shirt print shop when I was out yesterday by complete accident. So I guess that was somewhat serendipitous. I might poke around with some pricing options there + online at various places and see exactly what kind of numbers I would need to make selling Reborn merch' (other designs) or such things an option.

A little late, but why don't we put that Player List into its own thread... this one's fairly cluttered as is, and that will want to be updated frequently enough to be worth it.

[Outdated] Site/Forum Suggestions, Maintenance, and Discussion
Amethyst replied to Arkhi's topic in Welcome Center
Yeah, you guys are fine. Both of you know what you're doing and have the access; I'll trust your decisions. It will be worth making distinct pages on the website for Mac instructions, Getting Started instructions, and possibly sectioning out the game FAQ into two pages, one for general game questions and one for common error messages, a la corrupt save messages, RGSS stopped working, script hanging, etc. We mostly see the same things a lot. I've wanted to do these things for a while and (naturally) haven't gotten around to it -
Yeah, we're keeping this one. Welcome!
