I mean suggestions are as open as ever in the general forums, but if we really need something from the masses, we'll hop over to the public development forum. Admittedly there's not a -whole- lot of room for that.

An actual forum-integrated development blog appears! As probably fewer-people-than-should-be are aware, for the latter half of last year I was running a Wordpress Dev Blog that may or may not have transparently been part of a school assignment. But being that it went over rather well, and some of those non-homework posts were actually useful to have on hand, we're putting the blog into a context that actually makes sense for it to be in! ...Where it, you know, makes sense to be, and people can actually practically respond and discuss posts. Crazy thought, right? Incidentally, the main posts of this forum can also be found at http://www.pokemonreborn.com/game/dev.html which has also been linked from the main site, so you don't have to risk losing us. As for the blog itself, this may (not) come as a surprise to everyone involved, but I actually have been made somewhat aware that many people are anxiously awaiting whatever-the-next-episode-is. Despite knowing this, in the past I have been relatively unsympathetic, instead opting for a it's-ready-when-it's-ready approach. While that has its uses, I acknowledge that we can also try to be a little more transparent about what's going on between each episode so that people aren't just like "?????? is it almost out?? will it be out tomorrow? will it be out in a month? in a decade? nobody knooooooowwwwsssss" ..Because that's totally what you all are like... right? In any case, as a disclaimer, I am not going to promise any frequency of updates, nor is anything posted here final (i.e it may change before release). Beyond that, I'll try to keep everyone in the loop.

I'm totally down with putting custom backgrounds in, but the problem is any graphics have to be in a 2x resolution. The altered type buttons appear to have a fading 1x background, and the Retro, Reborn and Chess backgrounds have 1x elements.

This is a goal. About that: Although I'm not so rigid on the level difference from the cap, this is basically exactly what happens, even beginning exactly with Radomus. Gossip Gardevoir is five levels above the cap. So is Cheshire, Luna's Umbreon. So... the range of Luna's team is 61-65 + lv70 ace. I don't see that as much of a jump from the average trainer level at that strage of 58-62 with important battles such as the gang leaders also going all the way up to 65. Do others agree that there's a jump here though? ...So, clarification: Ruby is a scripting language that used to be popular in Japan. RPG Maker uses Ruby Scripting. It is entirely unrelated to the Pokemon franchise's Ruby version. Insurgence uses HGSS-style graphics (don't get me started on that, by the way), but it's still made with RPG Maker and as such still uses Ruby scripting. Making them TMs is something I've considered actually. If someone wants to open another topic to discuss concerns with a change like that, I would be interested in hearing the community's input.

Not every piece. I made the city music/the evolution/center music, and the wasteland song is by an artist known as '23'. The Nightclub songs probably will not be able to stay in the game. With it getting more popular, I actually do have to be concerned about copyright violation.
