Reasons for those characters to become our rivals:
Victoria: "I have to hone my skills in order to protect those I care the most; be that fellow students of Apophyll or friends outside of it. MC is not only a dear friend of mine, helping whether I was in trouble, but also with a honest heart, they assist everyone who need help, be that ally or foe. They truly impress me, and I'm certain they'll help me reach new levels..."
Cain: "I still can't find my place in the world. Unable to face the difficulties, I've been running away from problems and duties, covering my fears with jokes, songs and light-headed attitude. But MC... MC know their goals; they know what they want to do and where to go. And they're relatable, friendly, understanding and quite~ cute. I hope they'll help me in finding out where I belong..."

Man... How I wish to be a part of Pokemon Online League when it was still existing. It looked so fun!
Either as a challenger or as a Gym Leader, doesn't matter - it would love to interact with all the League Representatives and/or fellow challengers, while honing my skills.
I... I do realize that I'd be crushed, pummeled and tenderized by basically anyone back then because I SUCKED back then (my first even Pokemon gameplay; in FireRed; consisted of 4 Flying types, 2 of them being x4 weak to Rock, and movesets like they were taken from Gen 1, like Charizard knowing Flamethrower, Fire Blast and Blast Burn... plus I didn't care about stats of Pokemon, only moves, and back then status moves for me were more than useless)
But now, being much more experienced and seemingly more talented... I think... I could have a chance of getting at least half of the Badges, with a glimpse of defeating Champion, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, becoming Gym Leader myself.
The last part woulda be very fun; like an soccer superstar on giant stadium filled to brim, people would want to see and interact with me, and have a shot at challenging myself.
Of course, it's not about fame or glory, but having the opportunity to meet many new, interesting people and having the chance to become stronger.
Don't worry, I'll be keeping kayfabe alive. I'm not a loose cannon.

My fresh year in college is basically over. Finally, that was one hell of a ride; an emotional ride, and not necessarily in a good sense.
But now I have over 3 months for myself; I can finally start repairing garages, picking up strawberries, riding bike for hours, and... actually begin learning how to sprite.
I finally want to make some actual progresses for the game, and not just "writing storylines and designing characters in my head". Still, programming and music will be difficult, both for my allies and myself, but I'm not going to drop the project because of minor inconveniences.
But, to be fair, I don't say the game will be completed in a month or a few, even if we started right away and we all knew how to program, sprite, design, and everything. It's gonna take years - Reborn was created by literally hundreds of people in the span of over 10 years.
But, like I said, neither I nor they are going anywhere... maybe in a year or less there will be some demo of the first few chapters~, who knows...

"Yes, yes, I killed your father. What is it with you, woman, anyway?
I killed my father too, and you don't hear me whining about it!"
~ Paul "Sirius" Clark, probably
-
I don't know... Maybe because it ruined your life by:
1) Being responsible for a house fire, which your younger sister blamed herself for and indirectly made you a vengeful person due to spending in a hellish place with a delusional doctor? Not to mention caused her family so much pain because of said factors.
2) Killed your mother when you were just born and used you as a tool to manipulate your father. Also indirectly resulted into his death thanks to said guy.
Do I dare to say more, Mr. Clark?
-
a) This was merely a joke. A reference. Not something to start a whole debate on
b) ...i still can't get over the fact his actual, real name is Paul Clark. Like... Sirius-ly (i'm not sorry)
It's like "John Doe" but with a few extra steps. Maybe it's because Sirius was literally nobody before joining forces with Phoenix, Elias and Radomus.
To be fair, he is still nobody. But in a metaphysical sense now, thanks to our good friend Saphira.

Exactly!
That's what I mean.
Champions are humans too! Very strong, powerful, talented humans... but humans nevertheless! And humans can make mistakes, not be always correct, and do various activities that stray them from the perfectionist.
They can even feel negative emotions like anger, frustration, depression, regret... or seemingly not positive, like consternation or uncertainty.
While Iris, Cynthia and Diantha were doing selfie, Steven WAS concerned that Leon would crush Alain, which Lance noticed that. That is because Alain is Steven's trainee (sorta) and friend, so it's natural for the heir of Devon to be worried about his junior, who was about to face current World Champion.
In the mainline games, the only non-rival Champion who shows a variety of typical-for-common-humans emotions is Alder, which actually saddens me. Technically Leon does too, but before the actual battle with him, his emotions are basically joy, responsibility, being undefeated Champion, and panting with directions.
People can trash at anime as much as they want, but they can't deny that there are two things anime does better than the games - battles, and showing emotions of the characters.

I am starting to think, since my 1st year of college is about to end, so I'll be stress-free...
...should I begin a Nuzlocke?
I've never played a Nuzlocke, despite playing Pokemon games for 6-7 years. The main reason is because I tend to get emotionally attached to Pokemon, and just thinking about them dying causes a emotional distress.
But, on the other side, Nuzlockes are a good way to test one's capabilites in Pokemon games and testing their skills and thinking.
I was wondering if I should do it, and write down the relation of the events here. I don't know which game I'd like to do; but I'm leaning towards the mainline games, since I'm not a masochist :)
You may suggest the game to play.

I was checking Reborn Wiki for my little "project" and...
Cass, if you see this, I just wanna say... "You rock!
"
SpoilerIn the Meloetta Quest, you have a mandatory fight against Cass - one of the few times you fight a dev outside of Dev Room.
And her teams (which are 3-on-3) differ on... whether you pet Lumi's Glaceon in Glass Workstation or not. Which might be one of the least expected ways for split. But it makes... a HUGE difference.
If you pet Lumi's Glaceon (which I did in my playthrough; whenever I have the opportunity, I pet cute Pokemon; Glaceon's very cute, all Eeveelutions are - if I could, I would have all of them + Eevee as pets irl), she'll have A-Ninetales, Cinccino and Mega Gardevoir. Pretty solid and standard-fare team, right?
But, if you don't pet Glaceon at least once... Cass will throw at you U-Turning Special Sweeper Naganadel, Dusk Wings Necrozma with Ultranecrozium Z, and Choice Band Rayquaza with Dragon Ascent... oh my god! (at least they didn't have PULSE2...)
Who would've expect that a simple gesture could change one event from doable... to pure agony. That's why I LOVE Reborn - EVERY decision matters. Even the smallest ones. I can't wait for Rejuvenation's V14 when you'll be given the question "Do you prefer Pepsi or Coca-Cola?" and depending on what you pick, someone will battle you with either decently strong team... or Dimensional Rift Ferrothorn, Angel of Death Gardevoir, Dufaux and Puppet Master in 4-on-4 Double Battle on Dimensional Field.

Oh my Arceus... Was I truly able to create 40 characters for fanmade game, with, like, only 4 existing beforehand, which are modified OCs of my real-life friends?
I know you couldn't care less... but I had to "brag" about it somewhere, you know... The more I think about it, the more I hope that the dream will come true, and the more I pursue in creation.
Fortunately, I'm not alone - there are a few of us out there: some do more, some do less, but all do something. The day the first chapters are released, may be the happiest day of my life.
But I know from experience that rushing is a bad way of creating; masterpieces take even years to create (Reborn took a whole decade to fully complete, and it's not perfect yet because of various cats in the game). Still, no need to worry as the world isn't about to end soon, is it? ...well, as someone who lives in Poland has all the reason to be afraid for the life, but my friends taught me not to be pessimistic and ultra-realistic/paranoid 24/7/365
So, a lesson for me, and you - be happy, and try to think that the next day will be at least as good as the previous one. Which isn't gonna happen, but maybe... maybe...

You know what would be truly hilarious...?
If in the game there was an Easter Egg where there's a secret room with devs (before the possibly of actually meeting and challenging them) who were talking about some projects or life... but each one in their own, native language.
And, just like in Tekken, everyone would understand each other and continue like nothing happened.
That would work if every person in the said room was from different nation, and no two selected people would speak the same laungage. Also bonus points if the spoken laungage isn't some who is spoken by large masses and is common like English, Spanish, French, Italian etc.
Maybe some like: Hungarian, Swedish, or some "exotic" ones like Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese (so those who use different alphabets than Latin or Cyrillic, which are the most common ones used in Europe and American continents)
I don't know, but it'd be unusual... and hilarious.

I've never noticed it before... but seeing how Tyranitar can be dangerous on Glitch Field, it truly comes as a surprise how versatile this Pokemon is.
Why, you ask? Because I have just recently realized, while playing some competitive, how Tyranitar's special bulk might come onto play. But step by step:
- Tyranitar has 100 Base Special Defense, which equals to a maximum of 328.
- Thanks to Sand Stream, its' Special Defense is increased by 50%, as a nature of being a Rock type
- Assault Vest also increases Special Defense by 50%, but wearer can use attacks (which isn't a issue in Tyranitar's case as it don't have any reliable status move that increases Special Defense or such)
- That makes its' Special Defense (and therefore a Special Attack as well) an astounding 738! For comparison, Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack caps at 535, barring any stat changes.
-
Tyranitar also has powerful Special movepool with:
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt/Thunder
- Ice Beam/Blizzard
- Dragon Claw/Outrage (which are Special on Glitch Field)
- Surf
Honestly, I've gotta check and try if my theory is true. If yes, then I'm much better battle-designer than I thought I was

I'm so ashamed of not realizing that up until now!
Gen 9 will introduce the first region with TWO primary professors. Of course, there were regions with more professors (Unova had Aurea, Cedric and Fennel; Alola had Kukui, Burnet and Samson; and Galar had Magnolia, Sonia and Hop {to some degree}). But only 1 of them was the main one, while the new one will have two.
We don't know if they will be version-exclusive or be in the same game but one of them is going to be our mentor and the other not, but we know that their names are Sada and Turo.
And only now have I realized that their names come from Spanish words "pasada" and "futuro", which mean "past" and "future" respectively, with the first one being used in "feminine" form and the other in "masculine", since in Spanish nouns (and adjectives) have two forms, if they can refer to either masculine or feminine objects. And that matches well since Sada is a beautiful, wild female, and Turo is a hot, chad man.
Still... I feel stupid for not realizing that despite being learnt Spanish for 6 whole years!

Spoiler
Me defeating Lin:
- in main story: "It's official... You suck!"
- in postgame story: "Now, you will have to answer for- *sees Arceus tackling brutally Lin to the void* -OH SHIT! LIN, GRAB MY HAND!"
- in true postgame: "Aaww, don't worry, you'll win next time. You've just gotta believe in it, 'kay?"
