  1. Curse my talentless arse!

I have so many wonderful ideas to create and share with you (with the most realistic being pictures/art), but I can't... as I possess no drawing talent. None at all.

I've been trying to draw and paint for years, but it was all worthless - waste of pencil, crayons, paper and time. And in my head it looks so wonderful - at least for me.

You have no idea how I envy you, and your arts of any sorts - they're so beautiful; you're so talented... I wish I could do it too, but I simply suck at it, no matter how much training I was doing.

Honestly, I wish I could generate pictures by just imagining them, and share here, so I could at least "be" an "artist".

Actually... If I could do that, then forget about pictures - I could create an entire anime! With more accurate descriptions of places, characters and places full of life, emotional moments and openings/endings!

But... you should do voice acting and OST by themselves; I cannot create voice head canons in my head; it all sounds awkward.

...why am I writing this anyways...? Hell if I know. I just feel useless by being surrounded by lots of talented ladies and gentlemen like yourselves.

That's good, that you're improving and editing. Also it's your works your hand is writing them.

I can relate to the pain of constantly editing and the desire to push forward with fanfics *hugs Oscar*

  2. My point exactly! While committing murders on Meteors and their allies, she justifies herself saying that all of this happened because of them... and you, the protagonist - because you've read her diary... her very personal diary, left in the middle of the room, opened on a page on which there are written words that pierced Amaria's heart, with Amy being in the room basically next to living one. Oh, and apparently Taka's death was also his fault, because he was the one to magically switch places with Lin while she was about to get pierced right in the chest... I know she loves fairy tales but even so, even in them that wouldn't make any sense! At the beginning, it seems reasonable. But the deeper we get, the more desperate that becomes, and Titania's explaining starts to sound more like wimpy excuses. In the fanfic, Oscar even calls her out on that, claiming them to be "nothing more than a pathetic excuses of a pathetic Gym Leader", which is both an accurate description, from his point of view... and a hypocrisy to some degree. Still, his point of view has always been screwed by the war he has experienced since being born, so that could work as a partial justification of his equally-bloody actions. Partial, as some of his acts could NEVER be justified. But so are actions of other murderous characters - nobody ain't saint
  3. Most humans would act that way. Only countless, the strongest and the most well-prepared ones (or the unaware and/or insane fellas) wouldn't feel fear for themselves. But they would... for the others (unless they're soulless) Because even if I could protect myself against terrorists and their assaults, how would others - weaker than myself - fare? Answer: they wouldn't! Whether they survive or die in those situations is luck-based, and still the chances are like 1:1000 or lower. If I happened to be in Reborn universe, and was as strong and competent as my OC, I wouldn't be worried about my well-being (...unless Meteors have snipers, then I would have to be very cautious). But... I'm sensitive about other human beings, and many of them are casuals, that couldn't protect themselves from terroristic attacks. In addition to that... I'm just one, and just a human - I would not be able to protect all of them, at once, all the time. And if was no better than some random, casual Trainer... I'd get the fuck outta there asap. I'm not brave or courageous - I'm a coward, and a weakling. And would hide or run away, just to be safe. I believe many others would do the same, if they were the target of a destructive attack with near zero chances of survival. Or using Electric-type Pokemon to paralyze or do some electroshock therapy on them. That would immobile them and minimize the risks of them being dangerous. Not nullify, because there is no way to nullify it - even if you kill them, the others (especially those close to the victim) will wish to avenge, making the remaining more dangerous. No matter what they've done, how many crimes they've committed... Meteors are humans too; they feel various emotions, just like the others. Saying that they don't feel emotions because they're evil, is wrong. Even villains can sense them. They do this differently from "normal" humans, yet still do. Well... Weren't they? I think that every time Grunts mention, directly and not directly, New World, it can be pinned for the definition above: the perfect world, not touched by the palm of evil; Heaven but on Earth. And for that, the "end justifies the means" method is applied - because they think that no matter what will they do, all of this will be forgotten, and all negative effects will be nullified. Now, part of them know that... that they've been mistaken, and their hopes and dreams were dashed.
  4. Unova games were more for teenage audience, but I agree with the "kid's game" argument - it is basically showing that being evil won't cut it in real life, and virtues like mercy, friendship and bonds are stronger than pure power, domination and destruction. All mainline games have taught us at least one valuable lesson: Kanto: Hard work pays off Johto: Traditions are an unseperable part of life Hoenn: Never mess with forces of nature Sinnoh: We are just humans; nobody's perfect Unova: No thing is inheritely/purely good or bad Kalos: Be happy with what you have, do not regret lacking something Alola: Combining past and future is both possible, and positive Galar: Don't rush. Take your time and analyze In short: Every human has the right to freedom. But one's freedom ends when other's freedom begins. If that freedom is disrupted, we have to cut short the attacker's one. All thanks to Ame... My only regret is that we couldn't repay her for that... ... Arceus is the strongest of them all - an allmighty deity. The only worry is that she couldn't control it (like Mewtwo, Groundon/Kyogre, Xerneas/Yveltal, Ultra Beasts, Eternatus). But if she did, loyal Grunts wouldn't be worried, as the chances of having someone/-s to stop it (like Lake Guardians and Giratina in Sinnoh, Reshiram/Zekrom in Unova, Xerneas/Yveltal in Kalos, or all our friends) are theorically non-existent. If Lin actually manages to control Arceus, then without some thicc plot armor we cannot win.
  5. I haven't said they're wrong. I have said their methods are very extreme; which is not something you'd expect from a "good guys". Although... Spawn and Deadpool do exist too, so... Killing bad guys is perfectly fine for me... In cases they do deserve that. And by that I mean: those who are willing to hurt and kill for their personal reasons and show no remorse. But I get that they wouldn't come individually and ask "Excuse me Sir/Madam, but are you good with Team Meteor destroying Reborn City and killing off its innocent citizens", then either spare, terrify, injure or kill, depending on the answer. The actions taken are to be quick and with immediate effect, which obviously might bounce into the more "innocent" Grunts. Actually, if you look at my fanfic (which I should "show" here soon, as everyone else do), you'll notice one thing - the protagonist... does the EXACT SAME THING. Pushing through and destroying enemies on his way; in the first two days of being in the Reborn Region, he and his Pokemon have killed around 10 Grunts and injured over twice as many! Obviously, it is somewhat in his blood - his entire childhood he had spent in a region in which there had been a long, bloody war, with his parents being leaders of their respective nations. It's obvious that influenced his young mind. While it is a way, perhaps the best one to deal with those... it still has its downsides, as: having those more remorseful and kind ones die in a crossfire, causing the more brutal and stern survivors to be more enraged and cause more demolition. Also some people might start to see you as "no better than the ones you kill"; murdering the murderes will decrease the number of murderers, those who are against murders will start to despise you... but I guess that's the pay for some salvation, right?
  6. You keep forgetting one, tiny weeny detail. According to Caitlin, while Team Meteor was formed by Solaris years ago, the only goal was to have Reborn City to return to its original state; the village from Solaris' childhood. But Ame - League Chairman and Grand Champion - alongside most of the others League Representatives, would be strongly against it, thinking of it as a step back. So Meteors would be forced to have them leave. Yeah, "have them leave"; which means that citizens of Reborn City should abandon their current houses and move out to somewhere else. There was NO saying that they should be killed or anything - just have them move; that is it! Where they would like to move, that was not something Team Meteor would care. True, methods like polluting the air, ground and waters, or causing the blackout, would be used, to speed up the process and have the more stubborn ones bend... And I'm pretty sure there's a chance a few people with weaker organisms could die, but that was counting into "calculated casualties", which "could be avoided if they've listened". But when Lin became the leader... things turned by 180 degrees. She doesn't give a single fuck about Reborn City, let alone the entire region. Only power is what matters: power, and rule of fear. It was her and her alone to transform Team Meteor into what we see: an disreputable, villainous organization. Using influences, she corrupted the minds of large part of grunts into believing that no matter what they do, there will be a place for them in the "New World"; a place "far better and more beautiful than the current world, where they can be reunited with the loved ones". With that... Most of the Grunts started to feel unpunishable, and were assisting Lin in committing all kinds of atrocities. While more and more of them start to realize that "their New World" is not worth it, and it will never exist, they began to revert. But the damage done was irresistible; no matter what happens, it won't be like it was before. At least they acknowledge that, and are willing to change; and that's positive. Still... I cannot see those who were actively participating in this be let free - there have to be consequences. The only ones that could theorically be let, or have some smaller punishment like community services, are those who didn't want to work with Lin's Team Meteor, or did so very passively (refusing to partake in actions causing casualties, or staying aside). I think that if the could, they would leave. But they couldn't - they'd be killed if that happened (even bigger chances if they started to share stories from behind the curtain). So, for them, it's a loss-loss situation: either punishment by law, or potential death. While I agree with the opinion of "If they didn't join Team Meteor, they wouldn't meet that fate", they did so because they wanted changes. Unhappy with their lifes and situation, wanting to seek new opportunities and chances, or simply owning a favor; they had different reasons to join Meteor, and with Solaris as charismatic, powerful leader who knew what and how to do, it was easier for them to join. Just like in Germany during the Interwar Years - the economy had never been worse, internal conflicts between nations living there, government being unable to control all of it... all of it caused very low morale within Germans which wanted to be powerul again: all what was needed is a certain Austrian painter with a charisma, intelligence and program, to create one of the most powerful (and feared) fractions in the world of the first half of the 20th century. Most of the Grunts (actual Grunts, not Orderlies or Cultists which united with Meteors later) aren't inheritly evil - they were unhappy with their situation, and joined Solaris to help him "cleanse Reborn out of filth" to both have a purpose and start to live a better life. But when Lin arrived and took over, she decided to turn the "group of faithkeepers" into terroristical organization, which began using fear, destruction and agony to make their goals come true. And those who already were with Solaris, had no choice but to align with her - regardless if they agreed with her and wanted "New World", or they wished to follow Solaris' goal more. As you see... Not everything is Black or White, good or evil. Evaluating entire Team Meteor as evil and destined to be destroyed, while some of them are there simply because they have no other choice, and strongly oppose their actions, is like saying that all Indians are antisocial and mistrustul toward White races, or all Brazilians love soccer - while it is true for some parties, it's definitely not for all of them. If they deserve the punishment, then they should receive them. But spare those who did nothing, or not much, to the others. We are humans, dammit, not some wild brutes; to tear and kill because we dislike each other or are in the different spheres of ideas.
  7. Like I said, he might be mentally ill himself and not be aware of his actions. "Might" being the operative word here. Where? When? Is there a part that I've missed? If you mean that event I'm Subseven Sanctum, then he wanted to "cleanse her mind from the mind control of that swine Radomus". However I must agree with you on that one - believing cult leader isn't a good idea (anyone that played Insurgence will agree with me) Funny, because in the backstory of my Pokemon OC there were many of that kind in his father's court. That had far going consequences in the future in the next years, like... Actually, no, I shan't tell you about it. Y-yeah, but some of them constantly disagree with that, even outright refuse to follow orders that will cause the death of innocents. Problem? They don't have a choice but to follow. If Solaris was the sole leader, not only the number of casualties would be lower (not necessarily "zero", but definitely less), but I think he could accept his allies' choice of resignation. But the others? We've seen what were the consequences of "betrayal" first eye, and that can be applied to any member - from mere Grunt to Agent; the number of "saves" you could count using fingers of your hand. Team Meteor, regardless of what it was or intended to be, is a terroristic and threatsome organization that is needed to be disbanded and shutted down immediately. But most of them have to be spared - they will end up in prisons or at least do community services involuntarily, however them don't deserve to die just because they wanted a better life, and unconsciously became allied with a terrorists without ability to go back And that comes from a guy which character, by the time of Pokemon Reborn events, has killed more people than the entire Team Meteor individually and collectively combined
  8. I'd argue to call some of them "villain" They're antagonists, yes, but villains... not necessarily. Elias is definitely more of an antagonist, as his actions are anything BUT destruction and chaos; he simply wishes for Reborn to return to how it once was, and has his daughter (?) come back. His methods aren't the best ones (kidnapping and influencing the mind), but in comparison to likes of Titania and Saphira, he's an angel. Sigmund is another one; not as much, yet still. Electroshock therapy IS dangerous, especially when overused, but he wishes to do no harm. He might be mentally ill himself, after the death of his sister who committed suicide because she refused to be threated with electroshocks, which might have saved her, but he refuses to admit it, believing that the specific method is the best one. Solaris is a... mixed bag. While his actions are definitely unacceptable, his motives and intentions show that all of this can se said as "I don't want to, but I have to". Being a rebel in his younger age (even bigger than Taka), he was starting to regret his decisions as the years passed after his parents' murder. I'd say that basing of backstories, events and characters of all Reborn characters, Solaris had one of the hardest, if not the hardest, life to go through, which is powered by his "old by comparison" age (45+). However that doesn't completely justify some of his actions, like wanting to destroy Apophyll Academy. Lin and Sirius are remorseless blood-and-power-hungry monsters with no redeeming qualities that have to be eliminated. But if possible, I'd like to be Lin's friend, as long as she promises to behave
  9. +1 My scenario seems to be more interesting - to have some new "antagonist" appear at the "end". Not exactly some final one, but at least unexpected and OP one
  10. Despite this being... kinda terryfing, it's true. Kids aren't born evil - they have to be taught how to be evil. They absorb the knowledge like sponge water; and by that I mean all kinds of knowledge, even the most wrong. The older human gets, and the longer they are affected, the harder it is to knock the sense into them. Still... I do wonder what kind of influence has affected Lin to be that nightmare'ish in that young age; the biological one, of course. Because I doubt that one or two series of electroshocks would be sufficient; they might have some negative effects, affecting the brain of the victim... but like that?! However... we do not know if those were applied before Lin was massively misbehaving. Because if kids were nice, Sigmund would have no reason to shock them (although he himself needs his own therapy to get over the loss of his dearest). Still, I don't say that's impossible... Yet very unlikely, and there has to be someone behind the curtain to mastermind it all.
  11. Is using the "N-word" in writing racist when you don't have the pass?

Maybe I'll need to expand: by that I mean having some character use "n-word" to other. Theorically you're not the one to use or speak it, but you're writing it. But you're not writing it to real-life person in a real life, but have some fictional character say it to other fictional character. Is that still considered racist?

Well, if the character saying it isn't black-skinned, then that one is racist, but does that make me - the writer - racist?

    Why am I asking it...?

Maybe because I don't want to cause controversy while writing. Obviously, I haven't intended to overuse it, but I still wish to know.

  12. Didn't play Bayonetta, so can't relate. But maybe you're right. I just hope that Ace won't be some throw-away antagonist just because, but all of this has some sort of connection. Otherwise, that'd be waste of a character. There are some "coincidences" in Reborn, like Titania VS Erza redhead swordfighter blue-haired love interest short-fused, at moments young women Erza also is sometimes called "Titania", if I recall Tis a "coincidence", still.
  13. Hey. Now I've noticed... Ace, despite appearing at the story's end, is said to "have such a presence like they've been there the whole time". Do you know what other major antagonist appeared basically at the end of the main plot, but in summary it was like they'd been in the story since the beginning? Steven Armstrong His "real" debut was the very final moments and battles of Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. Still, during the cutscenes and his dialogues with Raiden, you slowly realize that he - throughout the entire plot - was intervening and controlling most of the events of that game: from assassinating Nmami to entire Plan Marshall... All his work. Somehow I think that Ace might be the same, but on a smaller scale as he isn't the main antagonist; he is just an Agent. Their actions could stretch throughout the entire plot; they might've been the head one behind Grand Station bombing, I'd dare to say. They might manipulate and control "mere mortals" to do his bindings. As if right now, they don't have a clear motive... due to not even appearing or being directly mentioned as of V18. Yet... Somehow... I'm starting to feel that Ace has been controlling our actions, and everything was predicted by them, making Team Meteor get the upper hand most of the time.
  14. That's, uh, how to put it simply............ wack. In game, that would make some sense. In lore, that's a recipe for catastrophe - if those who capture those are using them, and will face the other one who also possesses such Legendary. Of course, assuming they'll be limiting each other, and some additional safety purposes will be added (such as barriers separating arena from the audience; like in battle between Lance and Leon), said battle could function like any other. But without it... ...you get the idea.
  15. We theorically don't have to, but some of them make sense. Plus... Lance's Dragonair in the manga could wipe out entire Vermilion with a single Hyper Beam. A Dragonair, with one move, destroyed and killed entire city. Yes, it is a Pokemon of Elite Four, soon-to-be Champion, but that isn't even his ace. I know it is just in manga... But it shows how Pokemon can truly be destructive, ignoring limits of game logic and PG-7 enivoriment of the anime
  16. O-okay, I was wrong about some, yeah. But... I wasn't taking events into account, neither game logic, only canon lore. Let me discuss it: Mew - I completely forgot about multiple Mew. I've always assumed there was only one because we've never seen more than one at once in any official media (excluding moments when someone transformes into Mew, like in manga) Mewtwo... There may be more than one - if someone succeddes in cloning. That-idn't know why have I written Mewtwo, maybe I did that subconsciously. Keldeo is- I actually don't know if there is just one or more. We don't even know who even their parents were. I assume there's just one because that connects more to the lore with other Swords of Justice. Arceus being just a piece of a "bigger deity" is a fan theory that appears in a few fanmade games, and nothing more. Unless you mean situation that happens in Legends: Arceus, but there Arceus gives a piece of themselves to protag - which could mean that psyhically there are two Arceuses... But that seems a bit of a flex since that piece in comparison to "real" Arceus is nothing. I've never thought of the event of Sinjoh Ruins as canon in any capacity - it does show how strong and potent Arceus is... But that's all. Also... Do you remember what happens when two Gods and/or God-like Pokemon clash with each other? (from the movies, or games) If any of the created in the Sinjoh Ruins Pokemon met their "real" counterpart... Let's say that the citizens of the nearby regions should evacuate immediately if that happened
  17. Well, in my head canon it looks like this: If the Legendary/Mythical is an extremely powerful, ancient creature with the nearly god-like (or just godly) powers, there's just one per universe Others are more in number In the first group you can find many ancient Pokemon declared to be deities and those who are strictly connected to them in lore plus those who ARE SAID to be only one (Mew, Mewtwo, Tower Duo, Weather Trio, Jirachi, Creation Trio, Lake Trio, Regigigas, Arceus, Tao Trio, Swords of Justice, Forces of Nature, Aura Trio, Guardians of Alola, Darkest Day Trio, King and Steed Trio). The rest might be more in number, might not be. I can imagine my character walking into those, reading, and saying something like: Which... is understandable. Oscar is religious, just like his familia; not a fanatic, like some people on his father's and grandfather's court, but passionate. For him idea of multiple Gods is nothing short of a heresy (in which Radomus w thinks the same) If what you say is true then... then... Hm. neurons slowly activate ...t-then my theory might actually be true, tf! It is complicated, and complex, but if we think about it for a while...yeah,... actually, true, yes... that might work! I might be correct! Or not... But then that means that E-... HOLY! IT ALL CONNECTS NOW! Sometimes, my genius is almost... frightening
  18. Yveltal is Madame X's signature, and Rejuvenation is only 7-8 years after Reborn, so there could be slight problems. I know that some side quests aren't canon, and protag having completed the Pokedex definetly won't be, oh - and also that Yveltal could join that psycho later on, or maybe that isn't Yveltal but that Ligosomo-whatever Engine (transformed and compressed), which does to people exactly what Decimation in-lore and Oblivion Wing in the anime. It is unclear, as we know even less about Aevium than we know about Reborn. There's a lot of hints, theories and tellings, but many of them are loose. Also... What is the relationship between Madame X and Lord Xen-...something? Apparently the latter is the creator of Team Xen, with Madame X taking over, just like Lin "overthrowing" Solaris (just not completely because both as of end of V18 are Meteor Leaders... at least in rank). But unlike situation with Team Meteor, in Team Xen the original leader is nowhere to be seen. I don't know if his fate was even confirmed, or his motives, but I have a pretty bad feeling he had been murdered by X, and she became the new Leader, or should I say "Dictator". And her plans differ from what Lord Xen wanted to do. And now... While writing this, to my brain came some wild idea. We're all trying to know who's hiding behind the mask and facade of Madame X. The most probable optionn as of right now are Erin (caring about Melia and she shares some quotes and views with Madame X) or Celine (less likely, but it's weird that the Grand Champion of Aevium didn't appear a single, fucking time in the current timeline, despite the mess that's getting only bigger. I know she's lost an arm and a leg in battle with Madame X, or so is claimed {because if it isn't the truth, then the alibi is gone}, but... maybe there are two of them, playing the same role...?) But some part of me wants to think that Madame X is actually... Melia. From the alternative time or timeline. Idea wild, but not stupid: Madame X, if defeated in Blacksteele Castle, says "Father, I have lost". She could be referring to her actual father... Or her Yveltal, as the Yveltal from Doomed Timeline is called "Father" by Melanie. But that could also mean that if Madame X is from Doomed Timeline, it couldn't be Melia, as Melia from Doomed Timeline is a spoiled, annoying and brainless little bitch. As I claimed... I hate that time-and-space wumbo jumbo Madame X seems to take interest in Melia. And if she was Melia from the same timeline, but from the future (being an adult woman), that means... If our Melia died, Madame X would be gone as well. Poof, gone, sayonara, goodbye 4ever. And that is the reason why she "seemingly protects" Melia and is willing to cooperate At the very beginning of the game, Madame X has given "tips" and "encouragement" to little Marianette, which is... yet another version of Melia. This could be a support for her (and her alternatives) to not lose their sense of existance, or simply a way to weaken Indriad, which "rivalizes" with Team Xen as seemingly both of them have completely different plans. As I said... Just a theory. But I'm somehow right...
  19. Good. Thanks, mate, I'm in debt. Plot armor.
  20. Very unlikely for three reasons: Lin is definitely more into terryfing, nighmater fuel Dragons, rather than bipedal grass lizards (no offense to Sceptile; my favorite from Hoenn) Mega Sceptile (neither normal Sceptile) benefit from New World Field - it actually weakens them with halving Speed due to being frail Also... Lin using Mega Evolution? Impossible both game-wise, as PULSEs serve as Megas, and lore-wise since... Apparently Lin is unable to make any emotional bond with anything but desire for power Also, why have I said Dragons? Because apparently Lin used to be Dragon Leader and Grand Champion of Pokemon Online League back in Season 1. However, her win record was, um, how to say it gently......... ........not what would you expect from "the best Trainer". Therefore for Season 2, Amaria became the Champion, and Lin... actually I don't know what happened to her. Plus, despite her personality being "a little exaggerated", were quite similar to her behavior and being uber mysterious. With her hidden, "actual" personality being revealed after battling with her Source of the above: Amethyst's Tumblr
  21. That would be interesting. I wonder if she likes garlic bread...? Lin uses Dragons.
  22. Elias would either be proud... or die from a stroke because he would have no direct descendant. AW HELL NO. I like Rini, I don't want her to be-... Florinia wasn't heartless and cold from the start. She cut off from all the emotions, thinking those will only be detrimental, and would hurt more than help. Also, even after all this time, she seems to care about Fern (perhaps the only one), and when he, in Fiore Mansion, attacks her... Florinia is feeling regret, making her drop guard completely and be attacked by Sirius' Seviper.
  23. Wow. This is some deep psychological shit right 'ere. Unfortunately, I must agree with you - there is none prime example of "honorable" death: only easy ways out, accidental kills and victims of being in the wrong place in the wrong time. I know this is made because - in real life - the heroic demises happen very rarely (definitely much less than in fiction), but I'd like to see one. Solaris might be the best one to do so - of all antagonists, he's the only one who isn't some sort of coward or slacker; having his troops always do something for him - he always works in-field; either seeking out keys (which inherently belonged to him and his family), or working on "repairing" Reborn by having citizens go. Also, he's literally one of the few higher-ranked Meteors (Agents and higher) that is respectful to protagonist... from the start: In our first meeting, he didn't kill us despite he could, decided to share some of the story of Reborn and even leaded us to kidnapped Victoria On Pyrous Mountain, he decided to take us head-on. If he didn't have any intention to do so, he would order Taka (or Cal, in extreme situation) to deal with protag. But he didn't - he wanted to see our power. Just before he takes the matter into his own hands in Fiore Mansion, he either compliments us or declares us as 'still powerful' (depending on the outcome of the first battle) In Agate City, he just outright claims that he respects us and compliments the determination, power and courage. In Reshiram Route, he adds that younger version of himself would be jealous, showing that our growth and present power for him were more than impressive. The other being Taka, who in spite of his general attitude, he inherited his father's sense of respect to the opponent, which isn't seen as well mainly because of "rather depressing or semi-nihilistic behavior". Others either mock us, disrespect or declare as "not a threat"; with some realizing the truth only after some time...or never. That scene with Solaris' death... It's just like Asgore's situation. He asks you to kill him, take his soul, and return home. Player can kill him, but might spare him, and by sparing him, Asgore starts to think that there's a chance for him, for his nation, for the ones he love. But regardless, even in Mercy route, he's killed; backstabbed, I'd dare to say. The same could happen - Solaris, when spared, could stand on his feet and face the reality; face the truth of this world, and want to assist us and the rest. But nope - Lin appears and game over for the last heir of Alcantara familia. The alternative route still exists, where Solaris is redempt, which might happen - as the Grand Champion, player can do basically everything in the region - but having Taka return... that'd be nice, to hug him once more and have reunite with the father. But that is too much of hopium. Oh... I've forgotten about Zekrom Route. Reshiram Route, also known as "Route of Truth", was showing tragedy, drastic changes in character or sudden shifts. Many did say that this route is worse because of ever-present darkness, but actually it shows characters' true colors: Taka's hidden fear of death and being forgotten Titania not caring about anyone except those closest to her and being blind to her actions Amaria being actually selfish due to fear being left alone Sirius being deceitful to the bone; having no brakes or empathy Solaris not being ever-serious and cold; he truly cares about past, Reborn, his son... and others I've forgotten There are other examples, yes, but those aren't affected by Reshiram/Zekrom route split; but by the other important "choices", like: defeating Solaris at the volcano and handing over Ruby Ring voluntarily or not. Speaking of which, practically none of this happens in Zekrom Route; all is hidden beneath facade of ideals. This shows the "rather perfect" scenario, which is too surreal to truly happen. But I think, that if someone has to die in that scene, then it will be either Taka or Solaris, protecting each other. We know that their relationship is... hard - rebellious Taka and Solaris being more conservative (which is the same situation as over 25 years ago, with Solaris being the rebellious one and his parents upholding the legacy) - but unlike in Reshiram Route, the player in-game doesn't know that they actually care for each other in Zekrom Route; there, after Duel of the Fates, Solaris (with Sirius) chases Taka as he ran away, scolding him previously; as he wants to punish him. But those who know what happened in Reshiram Route, know that Solaris isn't chasing Taka, but Sirius, to ensure that this arsonist cyclops won't kill his only son. In Zekrom Route, Taka also doesn't tell us that he's actually worried about his father's mental health, which might've worsened after he ran away. To summary, while it'd be more logical for Solaris to die and maybe reunite with his family in the great beyond, I do want him to survive and live new life in New Reborn City; as you said, he could help rebuilding or writing stories about the legacy of old Reborn, or maybe he'll become teacher/instructor in Onyx Academy, teaching history, archeology or whatever he specializes in. And if Taka can be revived (for "free"), then PLEASE YES! He could've matured by that time and find his calling: maybe as his father's assistant or Flying Leader (Main or Reserve). Plus... I might be canceled because of that but... I somehow wish Taka and Luna to be together. I know there's a high chance Solaris and Elias would object; especially Elias; but I want to believe the barriers would be broken and they would say "yes". And the idea isn't Farfetch'd - Taka and Luna know each other since... childhood, according to Taka, which makes sense. He, however, blames himself for her "delusions", and Luna wants to separate herself from her family(?), so that could be some obstacles. But if those disappeared... Being a friend to a heavy-shipper isn't healthy, apparently. But, yet... this might have its' future
  24. Sirius couldn't do much to Solaris anyways. If he knew he was stronger, he would take over Team Meteor even before Lin did so, or degradate Solaris and become Lin's right hand. But he didn't. Because he knows he is no match for Solaris when he's serious. So Sirius waited for the right moment to attack - that reveal of Taka's demise was a low blow, but that's how heels work.
  25. It's simple - because Lin thought Solaris could be used as a puppet, to make all his followers in Team Meteor follow her. When she rose to the rank of a Leader, Team Meteor was slowly splitting into two - those who follow Lin, and those who are loyal to Solaris. As the time was flowing, the former was getting more and more popularity... mostly because of populist banners and inflicting fear, which apparently is more effective on simple minds rather than charisma and bonds. At the beginning in "fully-developed" Reshiram Route (allowing Taka to accompany through Tourmaline), Solaris most likely thinks that his son ran away being afraid of Lin, as he "deserted". In my opinion, that was a sigh of relief for Solaris, as he loves his son - being the only other one remaining of his familia, and as we know, he haven't quite dealt with his parents' demise - so if Lin wouldn't begin to hunt him, he would be save. But, thanks to the combined effort of protagonist's friendship, Lin's cunningness, Titania's bravado and recklessness, and awful luck, the worst happened. In Agate, after "Duel of the Fates", Sirius says what happened to Taka, causing Solaris to break down and run away, not wanting to accept that he, in fact, was alone. In fact, in V19... ... ...I expect Solaris to die, one way or another, at least in the Reshiram Route. I don't want him to die, because I know how much has he suffered, and also the number of similarities (both in character and backstory) he shares with Oscar Pendragon (my OC)... But let's face the facts: Except Elias, there's no one to truly be with him just as a friend, not as a subordinate He, most likely, has no subordinates, as all are either dead, left or with Lin He knows that his plans to "restore old Reborn" are now impossible to reach, and has no other plans for live. I have three potential scenarios of how Solaris would die: Lin comes from outta nowhere and has her Hydreigon slay her (former) ally He commits suicide, with player watching (or maybe the our character will use their brain for a second and at least try to save him) Solaris... asks MC to kill him. The third option is, in my opinion, the most logical one in-lore, as I doubt a warrior as Solaris would simply choose the easy way out like that (but they say suicide is better than surrendering, which is fair), and also I question him wanting to get killed by those who turned lis life into nightmare. Having to die honorable death from the hands of the worthy rival... that is something both badass and very sad, but in a good way. And suits Solaris; in that way, he could "pass the torch" of saving Reborn to MC. Just like Armstrong did when Raiden killed him, claiming that despite his death, his goals and plans of fighting corrupt government figures and "saving the America" will find a worthy successor. Player doesn't necessarily need to go his way, but do what is needed to make his goals come true. I bet that before the moment, Solaris would understand that "his Reborn" is forever gone, and "new Reborn" with thrive. And that's what he could ask the player before his demise - to save Reborn (and the universe) from Lin.
