OHHHH. I thought it would have just activated after the last time jump. Thank you for clarifying!

So I think I did something out of order along the way, where I started the quest, *beat the rift Chandelure, and then got to the route 9 area. I am not able to activate the time crystal in the cave on route 9, and I think I should be able to since I am now at the point right before the tournament in GDC. Help? Should also mention I am at the part in the quest line where the young Narcissa is in the cave and asks you to find her older self. (Not sure if this is where to post this)
