Yep, the dev blog was a bit desolate, but now we've rejuvenated it to let y'all know about reborn Reborn. :)

reborn but you can hug (some of) the characters
stardust03 replied to stardust03's topic in The Mod Market
I haven't touched the mod in a while, and it's not like Reborn itself has updated any time in the past couple of years, so it should still be working. Assuming you've installed the mod correctly, you'll probably have to leave and re-enter the nightclub after installation to refresh the map properly. In addition, the added stuff has been included as an option in the specific characters' idle dialogues, so to see it you'll both have to get lucky in rolling the right dialogue (just talk to them over and over again) and have exhausted all the non-repeatable dialogue for that character. -
Hi! Version 4.0.2 of the mod has been uploaded; this fixes a bug that caused the game to freeze upon entering the Grand Hall basement if Azurine Island had not been restored (I think that was the problem at least). This is probably going to be the last version of the mod I create, barring any future bug fixes or added cross-mod functionality (via compatibility packs or otherwise). If you have any questions or are having any issues using the mod, please leave a reply here or ping me (@stardust036, aka the only active stardust I think) in #reborn-mods in the Reborn discord. And thanks for using the mod; I'm glad to see that so many people have found my small "coding" project to be useful.

Well, that's not good. I'm assuming you mean going down into the Grand Hall's basement; please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll check it out, but in the meantime here's a version of the mod that replaces said basement map file with a vanilla copy (you may or may not be able to activate the grassium z skip by visiting the Azurine Center, activating a white shard there, then heading back to the grand hall to talk to grassium z guy; I can't remember off the top of my head if how I wrote the eventing works like that). Extended NG+ Handling Mod v4.0.1.zip

Back with a new update, fixing parts of the Route 2 and Victory Road skips and adding a couple new skip crystals!
-
Psychic Terrain's boost to psychic moves applies even if the attacker isn't grounded, which I think is unintentional (it's a canon mechanic, and the field terrain script attempts to check for it but checks the wrong type in fieldtxt.rb)
-
No plans at this time; I'm not aware of a way to actually skip this puzzle besides adding teleport points or something similar and I'm trying to stay away from movement-based skips.
-
I just released a new update, adding three more white shards to the game (by popular demand, Route 2, alongside Blacksteam Factory and Victory Road's Sapphire Chamber). I also redid all of the eventing (again) so please let me know if something's broken. You'll have to look elsewhere for that; I'm not interested in extending this mod beyond skipping puzzles on repeat playthroughs. For those types of things, you might want to look into getting a debug mod if you don't mind the risk of breaking your game by using debug tools improperly.
-
new update, now with x% fewer light puzzles (well i mean the puzzle's still there, but)
-
The NG++ mod has been updated to v2.0, adding two more skip crystals and redesigning the mod to reduce the number of modified files.
-
As long as you have a save file that’s completed the puzzles at some point, you should be good. You will need to load into your old save file once the mod has been downloaded and installed, though, so that the game can recognize that you completed the puzzles.

This mod is not compatible with the newest community version of Reborn (e19.5): the mod content has been integrated into the base game and installing the mod will only break things. The downloads are being left up for those still playing on e19.0.16, but are no longer being actively maintained. This mod extends the NG+ capabilities newly introduced in Reborn E19 to some of the game's other puzzles/sidequests, allowing players to skip said puzzles/sidequests if they have a save file that has already completed them. Skippable Puzzles: Download (v4.0.2): Extended NG+ Handling Mod v4.0.2.zip (If it says that the mod is unavailable, log into the forums first and the download should work then.) Version 4.0 of the mod contains a bug (oops) that may freeze your game upon entering the Grand Hall basement. If you're reading this, you're probably not one of the people who really needs to hear this, but please download and use the most recent version. Installation: Download the above folder and unzip, then copy the "Data" folder into your base Reborn folder, overwriting files when necessary. I highly recommend making a backup of the old .rxdata files in case something goes wrong or you no longer want to use the mod; a list of the modified files and their functions is in the "info.txt" file included in the download. As of v2.0, the mod has been updated to no longer require a modified version of the System.rxdata file originally needed for the mod to function. For v1.0 users, a copy of the unmodified file (aka what's provided in a fresh install of reborn) has been provided for your convenience; however, keeping the old file should not affect gameplay. System.rxdata To check that you've got everything set up properly, a white shard has been placed in the Grand Hall that should show up if the appropriate files have been added to the game. You will also need to load into a save that's completed the puzzles at least once after installing the mod, so the game can recognize your progress. Additional troubleshooting tips have been added to the "info.txt" file in the download; if those don't work or something goes wrong, feel free to ask here or in #reborn-mods on the Reborn discord (please ping me for mod-related questions, I'm @stardust036). Changelog: Mod Compatibility: NG++ is NOT compatible with Reatomized, due to both mods modifying some of the same map .rxdata files. I've heard that it does work with All Gen (although I've never personally tested it, so no guarantees), and it's already a part of the Yang mod. I'm not aware of any other major mods for which compatibility would be an issue, because script-based stuff doesn't overlap anyway. This mod should be compatible with any script-based mod that doesn't modify the existing NG+ script (I'm not aware of any other mods for which this would be a problem). For compatibility with other mods that modify maps, use at your own peril (adding this mod to your base game first should avoid major problems at the cost of some white shards potentially not appearing).

reborn but you can hug (some of) the characters

All you have to do is ask, and your request just might be granted! (I make no promises about the quality of the dialogue though) I don't know why it's not working; I tested it on one of my other copies of Reborn and copying over the file worked there. Sometimes you can get really unlucky with the random rolls for idle dialogue as well (and if you're getting special dialogue like when someone asks to see a certain pokémon, the new dialogue won't trigger). Maybe try with the new version and see if that works, and there are also more characters now that you can test with. If it still doesn't work, let me know (and if someone else can confirm that the mod works for them, that would be great). I don't have any plans to connect this to relationship points or ending cutscenes at this time; limiting who you can hug just doesn't feel right to me, especially given that it's really easy to mess up getting cutscenes with certain characters (I myself missed out on shelly's cutscene on my first reborn playthrough and she's my favorite character so). Unfortunately, being able to hug that character in particular would be challenging to implement, given that she cannot be found in the nightclub during postgame and there's no good place to hug her during the main story without it being awkward or interrupting story events. -
The title's pretty self-explanatory; it's a reborn mod where you now have the option to hug people in the nightclub. Download (v1.1.1): Map827.rxdata Installation: Download the attached map file, then copy it into the Data folder, overwriting the old nightclub map file when necessary (maybe make a copy of the old file in case you want to get rid of the mod for some reason). Features: This mod gives the player the ability to hug several characters as part of their idle dialogues in the nightclub. Note that idle dialogues are random, so you may have to talk to them several times before the option comes up, and they also have to be present in the nightclub for you to be able to hug them. Also, idle dialogue only occurs if all other (non-idle) dialogue options have been exhausted, so may not appear immediately. Characters Included: (contains postgame spoilers regarding the status of certain characters) Changelog:
