Make an outline. You have your start, and part of main conflicts for your story already (you didn't mention how the witch felt about him) Setting: medieval type Characters: Hunter guy, witch, the witch hunting clan he's part of, etc. Now pick how you want your story to end. A romantic/heroic tragedy? Does everybody come out all right in the end? How do they and the world change after this experience? So you have your start and your end. Then you flesh out how you want the characters to progress in order to get to that ending. Was there a big battle? Where there several battles? What are their strengths and weaknesses that help them get there? Did she run away/get kidnapped and he has to go find/ rescue her? Or is he branded a traitor and she has to save him? Do either of them have friends and allies? How does magic work in this world? I see lots of obvious possible ways to go with what you've said so far. Keep in mind that people here will help you out. They won't do it for you.

I've only played Dragon Quest: Monsters and Dragon Warrior 3. I think Dragon Warrior 3 = Dragon Quest 3? Wiki doesn't make it clear whether or not 1, 2, and 3 were remakes of Dragon Quest 3 for handhelds and thus the slight name change, but that's what it sounds like. Since after the last boss in DW3, they give you the name/title of Loto out of the blue. That was really weird at first. I was like, I have a name. Why are they calling me Loto? And then I read about the first two games and realized it was a prequel and it was basically keeping shit canon. Can't type is well named because as a result I can't understand him. Anyways, I've always been fond of water and stuff and I needed a strong sounding, manly name for myself. Maelstrom fit the bill and despite the whirlpool being the first definition, it is far more widely used as a synonym for storm, or wild, dangerous outpouring/storm of energy, etc. So it works for me.

iirc there's a few in there already. The first being a trainer named Andreas, who is a reference to a certain auth we know. And after one of Will's Infinitas comic episodes, my role in that episode was included into the game. I know others who have played further than me have discovered others. It's up to them to tell you what/where they are.
