  1. When it comes to sexuality and attraction it matters, so with that in mind, I only have to wonder at some others who... fell into your deception. It doesn't bother me, but to others who thought they knew you better... it may be different, as you know.
  2. I found this and figured you should have the whole scene in context.
  3. Gantz. Absolutely, Gantz. Don't watch it as an anime though. The anime is really short and diverges from the manga a bit. Seriously, read the manga. It goes on way past the anime anyways. Much violence, much death. All seriousness. If you thought Hunger Games was good... this is on a whole 'nother level. They're trapped in a death hunt where they are summoned to kill aliens hidden among the world in one way or another. It's run like a game by unknown entities for unknown reasons, but when the people around you die, it takes a toll. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantz Other grim, serious anime... There's Hellgirl (Jigoku Shoujo). When people are abused and cornered enough, they can call on the Hell Girl to take their tormentor's soul down to hell and out of their life immediately. However, in return, their own soul goes to hell whenever they die. The first 4 or so episodes go through wrenching stories of people who have called on Hell Girl. After that, apparently, it changes to focus more on the hell girl herself. I only got so far in before I wasn't able to watch anymore because nowhere to watch it, etc. I need to pick that one back up myself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Girl On a serious note, but not really anime related is There Will Be Brawl. It's a live action web series of an adult themed, dystopian Mushroom Kingdom, years after Mario and Luigi saved it from Bowser and the glory and memory of their deeds has faded. It puts a unique spin on the characters within Super Smash Brothers Brawl, acting and colliding within this dark premise. You won't regret watching this. http://therewillbebrawl.com/episodes.php

Banned because a mere whirlpool doesn't begin to encompass it, despite it being the primary definition (and the least used one).
  10. I was kinda okay with the storyline up until some raindeer medic kid thing popped up out of nowhere and could transform into different random shit, like a Rambo form. Then I just gave up. I looked at things every now and then and saw the absolutely ridiculous and flamboyant enemies. The "I'm a totally clueless tryhard and get distracted easily and do dumb stuff but I never give up and win by some totally BS way" thing got old quickly. It hurt my brain to watch. Oh hey, that's totally the formula for Fairy Tale and Naruto. No wonder why I have an extreme dislike for them as well.
  11. Japan, you're late to America's birthday party. And as usual, your gift is a little on the order of.... just why??? But it's not bad.
  12. So I heard Britain has a few things that we in America don't.
  13. Swims, stop breaking the broken things.

  15. Time for a long break away from things.

  16. I really did have to spell it out for you, didn't I.

  17. It's not that it isn't out of the ordinary. But more a return to something simpler, yet more subtle. I'm questioning your ability to appreciate something that isn't flashy or shocking or overtly funny in some way. Those aren't what it was going for. It just bothered me that it seems like the attitude of some is "entertain me or else I don't get the point." I'm pretty sure the people behind the "Pepperridge farm remembers" knew exactly what that commercial was doing. And to be fair, it obviously isn't to your demographic. The newer generations such as yourselves are stereotypically all about the instant gratification. The newer generations are also struggling with this "ADHD" and discerning it from a complete lack of self discipline. Condition =/= illness. But if offends you that I drew a drew the parallel to the shallow level of critique demonstrated in the OP to a 'condition' in which the person gives a miniscule, shallow amount of attention to most things (which have a trend of being subjects that require more work/deeper thought -coughschoolcough-) then maybe that was the was the intent. My thought reaction to the OP after watching, "Did you even really try?" You know, the same question that many people levy at purported ADHD sufferers. You paid attention to the superficial. Did you see anybody who seemed like a paid, professional actor? You know, those, smiling people with perfect teeth and way too much enthusiasm? What if- gasp- they're real people, not models? Are they trying to sell you a product as much as trust in the people who make the product? You see scenes in the town, peek into their daily lives. This isn't the axe commercial where angels fall from heaven to swarm all over the guy with movie star hair after spraying some on. This is something far more honest than that. And to be honest, to someone like me who has been around a sight longer than most others here, I found the commercial rather refreshing.
