Let's copy Zumi's creative idea [AMA with voice answers]
Maelstrom replied to mde2001's topic in General Discussion
Why don't you sound more confident? Like, anybody who hears you would believe you would fold at the tiniest bit of confrontation. Do you care and do you believe in yourself or do you not? It's one thing to be open to opposing ideas and insight. "I might be wrong" is one thing. To give off the feeling "I'm probably wrong" is another step entirely. You quoted things you would answer and there were things you didn't address or answer. I listened to your recording and matched it to what you said you would answer. THERE ARE SOME DISCREPANCIES. Seeing as you are auth, I hold you to higher standards. As former Auth myself, with opinions of my own, I admit to believing in your capabilities. I have seen them myself. I just don't think you have given the newer/unknowing users confidence in your selection or abilities in your reply. That kind of confidence is as important as other measures of explicit fairness. Do keep your role and expectations of your role in mind... -
"Don't get me wrong. I don't care what happens to you. Just don't cause me any trouble."
P5 quote, and Republican attitude in a nutshell.

I call them memes, myself. =P But I do prefer silence to banalities.

How can you be extroverted when you hide behind that mask of innocence, inno? =P

I'm going to hold off on clicking a poll option but I know for sure I've never gotten this result before. Virtuoso (ISTP-a) https://www.16personalities.com/istp-personality Of what I remember, it was always INTP or INFP... But hey, rum to celebrate the ambiguous confidence in the second big test in a class I'm taking. I am no mechanic or engineer, but every time we use some device in bio labs I really want to know how it works to verify the information that I'm looking for. But at the same time, I hate the logic and circuits part of computer science that has nothing to do with the programming I wanted to learn. " Virtuosos enjoy lending a hand and sharing their experience, especially with the people they care about, and it’s a shame they’re so uncommon, making up only about five percent of the population. " How did they quote Thaddeus Stevens in Lincoln? " This is the face of someone who has fought long and hard for the good of the people without caring much for any of 'em. " Did I mention that I see much of myself in several of these? Honestly, I think a more fun game would be to guess the MBTI of another reborn member. *inserts bet that most members have an acronym starting with an I* Act too soon? I could see that in drinking me, which is me only a small fraction of the time. But then as I age, I lose patience. Permissive nature? Sober me, yes. Assuming others are the same? Well, I figure that into the "pull yourself up by your boot straps" advice I give at times. If I use that, I figure you as a stronger sort of person or the kind that needs structure. If you're the kind of person who likes to be perverse or is hipster (as some hipsters are), aka to go against thought or advice simply for sake of being contrary.... well, you're an idiot. Thoughtless rebellion is ... well, stupid and ineffectual. At the same time, I'm not an insensitive joke person or a horseplay person, as the profile suggests. In the military, insensitive jokes abounded. I laughed at many of them. I never contributed any.

"If your friend is sad about something, you are more likely to offer emotional support than suggest ways to deal with the problem." The answer is either extreme agree or disagree. Aces should be able to answer this one for me.

But what if I don't remember what I am and too lazy to take it again? If I took the test sober and drunk and got different results, which one would be more accurate? Plus, when I look at these to try to jog my memory, I just keep seeing myself in multiple of these: https://www.16personalities.com/personality-types also, have an unrelated video.

What're you gonna use to round it off? an anti-mage or healer?
-
Speaking of Kagero... She keeps nuking all the people I see you guys complaining about in arena. All them mages (even mounted ones), all those lords who are foot, the dragons... They just get whomped So this picture isn't just about how great Tiki is at being Anti-Hector (without her, Hector would single-handedly wreck my team- even with hammer, Fred barely scratches Hector and squishy Cecilia is wrecked by the physical counterattack, even if she does some decent damage). My Kagero's first move was to take out the enemy Tiki, orko. The enemy's move was to send full health Julia and Elise to their immediate deaths by attacking Kagero. And I very recently gave Kagero Moonbow so she can do some real damage to mounted units after taking out an infantry unit or dealing some regular damage. I'm raising up a Lonqu so I can pass on his Vantage to someone, probably Tiki, since she doesn't have a B skill at all. But Fred and Cecilia have Wings of Mercy and Escape Route, respectively, so either one would benefit. Maybe Fred would benefit the most because I plan on raising Beruka to give him Killer Axe. That would bring down Luna's (def/res -50%) trigger to 2 with the loss of only 1 atk from hammer, which would make him pretty devastating, considering how tanky he is. I also gave him smite, but Swap (and conveniently Lancebreaker 2) from Arthur might work better, or harsh command (and armored blow 2) from Gunter. Oh, I just noticed Subaki can give Swap and Quick Reposte 2. Threaten speed 3 for Frederick from Selena? Seal Speed for Cecilia from Est? I'm also looking for a good C skill and support skill for Kagero. maybe a rally skill for support, but I was thinking perhaps giving her Savage blow from Camilla, since she's not really a good unit and I pulled a a 4* spare recently anyways.

Rebornian Mentions: Wendel (Presented by Cat Chat Blogs)

I can't fully be on showdown or discord at the same time, so I have to divide my time to one or the other. I don't see a substantial difference, tbh. It's kind of my pet peeve that the user-base is split between either platform because it really isn't reasonable for members, the auth, or anyone else to put their full attention between either of them and the rest of the internet at the same time. Lord knows auth don't exactly interact with the community the way they used to. How can we foster a greater sense of community if we are splitting hairs by following the newest fad every time? Sorry for bringing forum politics into this, but it seems appropriate in this context. And also... vanilla flavored vodka is so smooth... No really though, I've been on the discord more often lately to see what's going on and to see what makes it so great in comparison... and I haven't been won over yet. =/ The showdown server also seems to have lost character with fewer members online to contribute and work off of each other. The hypothetical and demonstrable 'better' do not match as of yet. -

It's okay, Bibs. Sun and moon set you free. You can be an inferior 'mon without being boosted by hm moves... I also missed Wendelism and I have to wonder if that wasn't kept from me on purpose. *Eyes Wendel* -
What about you FE nerds?

Where did you get your profile picture from?
Maelstrom replied to Daniel Blackworth's topic in General Discussion
I used to spend too much time trying to sift through Deviant Art. But it's pretty convenient to use Pinterest, which basically snatches art from everywhere. Or sometimes google searches. ... What? I have way too many avatars to name or count. like this lil number or -

Since the best picture of Wendel in this thread is one of him with a cat on his crotch, I had to share an artist's rendition of what Wendel really looks like. So now you know. -
Ain't nobody gonna give up tako meat to make slightly better Azama. Also, even if Azama retaliates, if he dies as a result of battle, whoever attacked him won't lose 10 hp. That's what I've noticed from beating cpu Azamas and using my own. Similar thing for Camilla and her savage blow, etc.

Meanwhile, still waiting on them poll characters from that original ballot...
-
Yeah, I just checked it right now with a few characters real quick. Draug and Effie could learn it but takumi, eirika, cecilia, frederick, F corrin, Camilla, etc could not not learn it due to 'movement limitations'. Only other armored units share the same forced base movement of one, so it my initial assumption seems confirmed. And it's still nice when you go up against the gemstone weapons that your unit would have a weakness to. It kinda negates both their sapphire/ruby/emerald weapon bonus and their color advantage bonus (I think... too tired to test it out atm). Advantage effects aren't to be taken lightly or you're gonna have a bad time.

tfw the minimum word count for a written response that counts as a 'substantial post' (as well as other requirements for said designation) under grading criteria requiring is 250 words. And when you word count your response, the result is 1,121 words and reference at least three other people whose views we've studied so far this semester. I guess the good thing about philosophy is that you can ramble on and explore your thoughts and resulting conflicts and seeming paradoxes along the way and it counts towards bringing up new questions (especially if you don't stop to answer them yourself) or points of discussions and can likewise respond to other students' posts and attempt to answer their questions with your own musings and own experiences. Questions, examples, counter-examples and ambiguity. You just have to think about things and give your reasons why it lead to you that tangent or conclusion. I'm usually so succinct, too...
-
Yeah, I happened to check to see if Kager0 by chance and example could inherit Sheena's ability to negate effectiveness skills and it said it was limited by movement type, so I assume that means she can only give it to other armored units. There go plans for kick-ass flying units....

'Waifu' normally refers to a female or feminine person with the word 'pokemon' referring to characters from the show or the game series) and not an ambiguous non-human sentient creature, so if this wasn't the case they should have been more explicit in the title, which is clearly ambiguous at this point.

The fee is less than the insurance and depending on how much you make, you may not even have to pay the fee. You just won't be covered if something actually happens to you. You still save money. But now more people are alive and healthier because now you have to pay a bit more than you used to. Just like you can feel safer and night now knowing you paid more taxes to expand and support the military. Or cut spending public education, television, and parks so you wouldn't have to pay more (directly). Really, IM isn't exactly there to make people want to pay for coverage. It's there so that we have the real source of funding for the coverage. But isn't it your rich republican friend free market ideas at play here? If you're already paying and it's just a bit more, might as well get the extra large combo full coverage, right? It just makes sense, right? Unless you're really scrounging around for money, you gonna turn down that 12 oz soda upgrade for 20 more cents? So many people voted for Trump because they hated Hillary. Which is basically cutting off your own nose to spite your face, as the saying goes. And the people are realizing that is what they did over these past couple of months. If all these demonstrations and disillusioned anger at republican meetings mean anything, it's that the majority of the people DON'T agree that what Trumpcare is trying to do and that at least Obamacare is better than that. There was a lot of misinformation and lies spread about Obamacare to republicans that there were some that thought the ACA and Obamacare were two different things and credited ACA as a Republican deal that replaced Obamacare. You don't have to like Obamacare the way I do, but you really can't defend it with a populist reason that isn't holding up. You're right though, the fact that republican politicians don't like it because 'it is too close to Obamacare' really goes to show how much they care about money more than the overall welfare of other people. I mean, it wasn't because it didn't care for enough sick people or anything. They just hate that they're spending more money on people not themselves. Look, there's that tiny circle of care again. ~You will know we are christians by our love~ song I heard in church back in the days when I was still forced to go. What love, hypocrites? rich folk and eyes of needles and whatnot... Higher premiums, eh? Isn't it weird that we're talking about insurance like its a possible solution and not the problem? But hey, Obamacare is an actual step in the right direction. Jesus required(s) that his followers make sacrifices in order to accomplish his will and laws. If there's less money in your tax return in order to care for the sick and needy, then so be it, right? I mean, if you were really counting on it, you should have budgeted yourself better 'and not bought that iphone' (- some republican). Surely, one can learn to live within their means. I mean, when companies fire employees to deal with tax hikes instead of instead letting the company's overall profit take a small hit, those ex-employees had better do so. Well, unless they can force the politicians to give them more tax cuts they don't need and further drain the tax pool that enables the whole more effectively. It's fucking stone soup, Chase. Republicans are the destitute villagers trying to hold onto what 'little' bit they have to themselves instead of uniting to create and do something better together than they could ever do for themselves, by themselves. It's the goddamn reason why we are a civilization and not mating pairs constantly fighting to control a bit of resources and territory. .... I'd better not respond again for a while. I'd rather not regret something I might post while I'm this angry. Conservative thought is almost always for short term gain and with little thought to long term consequences. I also have a written essay response due in less than an hour and a half for Professional Ethics. I am seriously tempted to include some of the back and forth from here for credit, as it discussion opening with ideas from both sides to explore.... Before I go, I would also like to recommend the Corean Chronicles (made up of 2 trilogies), or maybe anything, by L.E. Modesitt Jr. It's a great high fantasy series but I think it illustrates some important things...

I came here ready with the answers "Sabrina, Flannery, and Elesa come to mind first" but then I see that this isn't what I expected.
