That reminds me of my recent partial play-through of Duodecim Dissidua: Final Fantasy. It also makes me think of FitzChivalry from The Farseer Trilogy (and the Tawney Man Trilogy, and The Fitz and Fool Trilogy...) because he sacrifices so much in his own life to struggle and fight for his royal family (despite being a lowly, expendable bastard himself) so that the entire kingdom isn't dragged down into ruin. (Seriously, Quinn, I think you'd really like this series if you liked Noctis for those reasons) He makes his share of mistakes and then some (he really makes me mad sometimes with his decisions and attitudes) and suffers the consequences of his actions, even if they aren't mistakes. Whether you're ranting at him or with him, it's definitely worth the experience. I always feel like I've come away with something more with each re-reading of every book in the series. Wait, what? Fiction means fake. And Lelouch and Haruhi aren't even based off real people (that I know of). I'm confused. But I definitely agree that 'represent' and 'admire' are definitely important distinctions worth noting. Certainly, in keeping with the title, no one has mentioned any non-fictional characters.

It's cheating when your closest cousin asks you want for xmas but ya know.... A coin counting electronic bank- I currently have a few crown royal bags full of coins scattered in a few places that I dip into for laundry and parking meters, so this is real nice. $30 gift card to gamestop- my entire family knows I'm a gamer. But I'm also pretty picky and generally buy all the games I really want myself, so they can't buy games for me the way they could when I had the grand monthly allowance of $5. 2 prepaid cinemark movie tickets and a gift card to regal theaters. So my tickets to see AC, and upcoming DC/Marvel movies are taken care of. Plus 2 free tickets for donating blood to United Blood services in recent months. Karma says to go to the movies and have feels. My own care package of my aunt's famous brownies. I couldn't get enough of 'em when I was a wee chocolate fiend, and they're still great to this day. Just gotta raid my parents' fridge for milk... Oh, and $360 altogether told. I don't think I've ever gotten this much moolah from a holiday or birthday before. I might have a few more things coming my way, but that's definitely all of it for now.

Bah humbug, you eastern hemisphere dwellers. Still 6.5 hours to go for me, but happy holidays. Oh, and drink one for me.

Hmm... kinda hard to say. Most of my Final Fantasy experience is from Dissidia and Theatrhythm. From Dissidia, I'd have to say that I enjoyed Lightning, Cloud, and Cain the most because they didn't really have the hang-ups and fears like some of the others. Despite the situation they were in, they forged ahead with determination. They picked their goal and set themselves to achieving it. Cloud and Lightning are really strong, serious characters, but they're mostly solo characters. Kain is also a strong solo figure, but he stands out to me because also looks out for the group, pushing them to learn the things they need to and giving sage advice. I relate to these protagonists the most. But hey, I liked some of the 'antagonists' too. I liked Jecht in general, even if I disliked his cocky attitude and manner of speaking. It was more about what he did rather than the stuff he says. Much more to my liking was Golbez. I'll let this passage from the Wikia explain it for me: I also really liked Chaos for this memorable scene.
