Indeed we did. It was rather surprising that you came to talk to me, but I'm glad you did and glad we could get along like that.

Yeah, I definitely prefer to play sports than watch them. In my time, I've enjoyed judo, wrestling, and lots of soccer and swimming. Back in my short stint at wrestling in high school as a freshman, I was in the 135lb weight class but didn't weight quite that much. Nowadays, well, I'd be in a really competitive weight class (my weight seeming to fluxuate between 170-185). Wrestling was fun though and sometimes afterwards I'd stop by the wrestling 'class' and join in a bit for fun.

Eh, well, while there's so many things home has over on Afghanistan, it ended up being not that bad and with pretty minimal risk (though we did lose some guys). Just another thing, another job to endure and get done with. As our 1st Sergeant rightly put, we've been paid pretty nicely to come out to Afghanistan and do what we do. No one owes us anything, but we do appreciate the recognition, so thanks. I'm no hero. Luckily I haven't had to be any situation that I could say determined whether I was or not. For the most part, being a soldier is just a job to me- one with a LOT of ups and downs. But other times, like after movies or whatever, it's put into a perspective that even I feel that we did something important and did things to keep the country safe, so honestly, I find it hard to accept all this respect just because I'm an infantry soldier. I just wanted to put that out there.

Bring on the detail, though I understand if there isn't that much. We haven't that that much direct interaction, after all.

Had a herpetology class, for the most part, or at least that's what it came down to. Techinically it was tropical bio, but there's a lot of interest in the frogs and lizards and stuff in the americas, so yeah, we had a lot of stuff going on around that.
