Even for me, it didn't hit home till some guys I knew died back in May. Most of the time, they only put IEDs in the road that have no chance of injuring American forces our uparmored vehicles, but might do something to the Afghan army guys that travel with us.

Controllers> keyboard + mouse pc 800-1200 dollars on average. consoles now around 250 or less. pc games are often point and click-fests. boring. don't get me started on the controls. fps's aren't the same. too much shit on yo comp= lag. plus even more casual games than even the wii. And... it looks pretty much the same as what's on your computer. How many pixels of definition does it take before the human eye can even tell the difference anymore? =P @ Wolf. What kind of game in steam bastion anyways?

The problem is what happens if we had left sooner. It would have been a half-assed job, the insurgents would have taken over the country (again), and much better able to stage attacks agains the US. But yeah, we' re still here taking care of business so we can hand it off to the Afghans. And yeah, I'm glad I'm ok too. The guys that got hit were doing what I would be doing while out on patrols.

Combat outposts barely have a few computers for internet for over 100 people to share, much less space or outlets for ps3s, tvs, and internet hookups in anybody's rooms. The pampered fellas at FOBs and especially air force bases have that priveleged wireless internet everywhere shit. Oh, and they have american outlets with american 110 amps instead of european 220 that you have to buy power converters for from said fobs on rare visits. Infantry is treated like shit, I tell you.

Devil Survivor has some great story too it. It's a megami tensei game (ie, by the guys who made persona) but the graphics and gameplay are pretty subpar. So this is NOT what you are looking for. Other than that... I'm kinda out of the gameloop. I really enjoyed skyrim, though all the other games on both your lists (except KH2) are games I pretty much dismissed out of hand games I knew I wouldn't like. Seriously, Golden Sun and The Lost Age for GBA. Do it if you still have a system that can play it. Other than that... I really can't say there were many games with great story and gameplay. Well, get custom robos for gamecube and gamecube controller to play on your wii. story is ok, but the gameplay is where it gets fun. Halo and CoD online multiplayer is where the fun is at, but not what you want if you're really looking for campaiging, even if halo coop campaign can be fun. Dark souls... well, it's way too easy to come to dead ends and impasses. you could play 10-30 hours and not get anywhere.
