  1. eh, they're only strained because they made a console with a failed gimmick, very little third party support, and crappy controllers. They even brought back the game cube controllers, but they only work for one game. If they plan to eventually merge the two, they'll have to give up on crappy peripherals and utilize either the handheld control design more or remember what they did right with the game cube controllers.
  2. Pele demands a sacrifice for stealing her wigs. Someone at game freak needed to take a step and realize that what sounds like a neat reference on paper turned out incredibly stupid in execution. A-dugtrio is just bad. I was hoping for a good blue persian analog in A-Puersian, but they just gave it a fat head. That looks nothing like this: They took an idea with potential and made garbage out of it.
  3. well for me, the current line up has nothing I would pick up, so I would have to look at the hardware for its potential in allowing for good games. As for the system itself, even if I got it, I'd still probably only use it as a home console. A handheld like the 3ds includes features like spot pass, street pass, wifi connectivity, direct communication between systems. From what I've seen, I would assume that it has none of that, and that local and internet connectivity are tied in with the home console base and not the portable tablet part. If this is true, then it will never be a decent alternative to the 3ds for portable gaming and its portability will be kind of for nothing if you don't really use it. But if it DOES have all that too, is there any reason to continue on with the 3ds if you can get home console sized games on the go instead? The dual and touch screen will probably be the deciding factor for developer's choice when making the new games, but it would probably still lean heavily towards the Switch. Despite Nintendo's intentions, it really might still kill off the 3ds.
  4. the table screen thing doesn't have a cover or folding design to it like the 3ds, so you'd have to invest in screen protectors, etc., or it won't survive long bumping around in bags of any sort. do the controllers run off the same battery as the system or do you still need separate ones? the smart choice would be the latter. why are they still trying to push wiimotes? those things are still shit to play with. the classic SNES controllers are still way better than those. was that a headphone jack at the top? can you charge the pad when it's away from the home docking station? does the game pad retain the touch screen functionality of the wii u's? I doubt it. is the portability change really worth buying what is really just another wii u? what kind of memory does it have? I would assume no backwards compatibility because it uses cartridges instead of discs. If you never picked up a wiiu, this is probably worth getting.
  5. So the switch table is an even more gimmicky version of the wiiu game pad. I'm still not convinced.

When you're mad at the fact that you get a console and handheld, amazing.

You're dismissing the switch table as a good thing because it uses the Wii u game pads gimmick infinitely better than it did. The fact alone that I can bring this on to an airplane shows just how fucking better it is than a Wii u, seeing as I can actually take it away from my tv now and still play.

^^ literally this. Like with the Wii U, Smash was one of the only games where I could carry the system around with me and force everyone else to look over my shoulder at the screen, and even though it was limiting, getting to carry the Wii U everywhere for that was nice. Still, the screen wasn't the best and of course I had to carry the console around in my bag all the time, so I think Switch is a step in the right direction for this purpose.

  6. Idk, I think images 2 or 3 from my suggestions for Tempest would fit you well enough.
  7. The camera angle while in the city really sucked in the demo. You have to be standing right up against something in order to see what it is you're running by. And you can't use the dpad or c-nub to change the camera angle, so all you really get is a wide, top down shot of the street and not much else. The music wasn't bad but there wasn't anything in it that really struck me as amazing. The demo was also really short, and it's annoying that you couldn't really catch any pokemon except during the catching contest, which got old fast because you can't buy items at all and you have to turn the pokemon in anyways. That catching contest was pretty much a major waste of time. Aside from the datamining, there was very little that came out of the demo. Like that Ash greninja is a greninja with battlebond as an ability. It would be nice if all the starters could be retrofitted with battlebond forms, but w/e. There's so much about this new gen coming out that just makes me hate game freak more and more.
  8. Only 3 minutes? Wow, it must be even worse than I thought if it's that short.
  9. "I told you so" will I say when the new 'console' turns out to be garbage.

We barely even know anything about the NX. Why do you have to be so damn negative before we even know a thing about it?

Because having negative expectations for an upcoming console allows you to be not taken over by the hype?

  10. When reading someone else's coding, is it natural to be like, wtf am I reading, even when they leave notes that vaguely mentions what it does, without explaining how it does it?
  11. Ghost Rider in Agents of Shield actually reminds me of El Diablo from Suicide Squad.

  12. CG/Cyril Kakyoin/Dobby DW66/Debojit Edit: I think I finally ran into another one for Ody Jericho
  13. #weakprotagonistproblems or is it more #animesthatcutoffallthefingerstosavethehand ?

  15. So, from the last trailer, I was disappointed with the dragon/fighting's evolution designs. But I do really like A-Muk and Olivia. The rest just don't hold my interest whatsoever.
  16. This series continues to be a huge disappointment. It's also a huge tease. It hints at battles and shit but you never get to see any. And I must reiterate how shoddy the animation is.
  17. Idk, I read that thing and it doesn't 100% mean he's confirmed that its them. He recognized what they're supposed to be but doesn't actually say that those are the correct designs. All he really says for sure is that the company hasn't released the final evolution designs yet. It's a stretch to say he confirmed anything.
  18. pretty sure I got the zenyatta one, but I haven't played since I got it and I can't exactly doublecheck atm.
  19. I see your trash waifu mix selection and raise you some k-pop.
  20. I'd forgotten how good the Rurouni Kenshin ost's are.
