  1. Anakin is an ancestor to a Solo... how, again? Through Leia? Idk the literary canon, which was disavowed before the new movie's means nothing. And an ancestor through his daughter doesn't actually count. Not when she only has ancestors through her mother's side. Nvm the fact that her family was probably a sham in order to hide her identity from Vader, her father. Anybody labeled as an uncle or other relative is either completely fake or is from Padme's lineage. Where does Leia say Anakin is related to a solo again? Certainly, not in the movie that picks and chooses from the lore what is canon and isn't. As a light saber, it probably has a lot of interaction with the force. I find it more likely that Rey's ability and sensitivity to the force allowed her to see the images, rather than the the force recognizing her genome. Even the old alien she got it from knew there was something about it. She couldn't use the force, but she could feel it reacting to someone who could. Plain to say, the alien isn't related to Rey and if it was a family thing, she would have had nothing to do with those scenes. Your generational passing isn't a good theory. Obiwan gave Luke his father's lightsaber. he didn't have any visions as a result. I call it plothole bs. take it as you will, I don't think it is a hint to her lineage so much as absolute basic foreshadowing of events to come. Where is obiwan's reincarnation? Where is yoda's? It seems clear though that her parents definitely had something to do with the force or at leas the resistance. They knew their end was as near as the hunting empire soldiers. They left their daughter there to try to keep her safe and wait for their return if they ever escaped. They clearly died. Rey represses her memories, and in force viewings, which touch upon herself and her destiny, she is forced to face them again. Those hard memories make her flee to try to forget it all again. Her repression keeps her from truly realizing her ability with the force. Which is why the story, the saber, and her encounter with kylo ren forces it of her. I think her past has connection with Luke, but I don't believe she is related in any way to him. Luke has never had any romantic connections that I've heard of. Maybe she's a relative if they pull a flashback where he suddenly has had a relationship to again tempt him to the darkside and perhaps color his interaction with kylo and push him in turn towards the dark side in his place but.... that seems like a terrible, lazy direction to take things. I'd rather she be like Neville, with her own family having made an impact on their own than she be the over obvious harry potter inheritor plotline.

That is precisely my point lol. Bunch of fairies, including 3 dragon/fairy, and big scary dragon slaughters them all.

Jkes aside, I think we shouldn't really expect the strengths and weaknesses of the Fairy type to make sense. It was created specifically with competitive balance in mind, so yeah, it's not like it really follows a theme...

Gamefreak logic is no logic at all sometimes. It's quite rational to call them out on their bs tho.

  6. TIL the cattening is a thing.
  7. I would have preferred Ephraim over Corring but... w/e.

With palette swaps for Eirika too? :o

  8. Even the lvl 9 cpu's fall for the quick shot claw charge trick pretty often. Do a quick shot but charge up the claw, they roll though the shot at you and right into the waiting charged claw, which does 20%.

  12. We are all made in so many different and arbitrary combinations, it makes it seem almost inconceivable that we could really understand other people. Much less judge them. However, with communication, we have discovered that there are a lot of shared experiences, feelings, and thoughts. These are considered 'normal'. Normal is a great sounding board. But it isn't the great 'end all, be all.' So tread with care... and with great fore-thought.
  13. Yeah. I was thinking about how animals are used a lot in association or represent people/characteristics. It might be your favorite animal or school mascot, etc. There's actually been quite a few I've been associated with, so I was thinking about how they would look or be arranged on a representative totem. So if you did one for yourself, what would it be? You have a knack for animals, so that makes me curious. I can tell you about my personal one if you want an example/ideas.
  14. It's true, no one likes stallreign stallwars. Them lemons ruin everything... with the kind of projectiles and distance megaman can attack and zone with, it's a really annoying fight. But EVERY fight AS megaman is like that in my experience. But yeah, Corrin likes his/her prey cornered at the edge of the stage at just the right distance for premium damage, non-sweet spot spearing will get the job done too.
  15. I think the easiest one for me would be to do would a Destiny/ other video game thing ala Log Horizon/SAO. Something happens and you get pulled into in-game worlds(s) or it becomes real. With your outside knowledge, how would you handle it? What would naturally be different? etc. So much to work with.
  16. Man, I thought you'd never grow up! =P Jk, have a happy birthday.
  17. For the first one- It starts off okay. But then it doesn't go anywhere. It stales quickly. Then the lyrics and the noise happen and ... the voice acting is terrible and the lyrics end up being really bland. It smacks to me of teen romance/angst trying to be deep and artistic. But the piano and the techno accents that build up from 4:11 up until about 4:40 are really good. 2nd one, sizzlebird valley. starts off well enough. But the violin part sounds... well, not just too slow, but off-rhythm. And is simplistic, but not in the nice elegant way and it doesn't go well with the beat going on in the background. Lindsey Stirling, the violinist is not. The background beat stays the same nearly the whole time, but it commits the sin of not complementing the violin part at all. Kontinuum... yeah, it's changes are WAY too gradual for my liking. I feel like the last one is good, but not really my aesthetic for most of it. As a form of funk, it's not bad at all. Actually, it's pretty good. The male vocals and lyrics make me think of Owl City, and that is definitely not something I like. --------- Well, my turn to both recommend something/ stay on topic. How familiar are you with the movie of and soundtrack for Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World?
