Need a theory in Beowulf to write an essay on. For example, Masculinity in Beowulf or Human Evils Outweighing that of the Monsters. Help?

Those aren't even proper thematic statements in the first place. I would like to help more, but not having read Beowulf... My best advice would to examine some of the details that really 'stand out' to you, and ask yourself- why would the author include that? What might they be trying to express with that?
