Assuming that the image you're copying it into is 24-bit, there should be no color loss. If it's not just go to All Frames > Color Depth and choose 24 bit. You can check what color depth it is in the window of the image itself- it'll say "image name, Width X Height X Color Depth". Chances are it'll be 8-bit, if you're losing colorage.
