i have to ask about the muppet christmas carol movie. Partly because it's the only one there i havent seen. Also because of what it is...i mean why do you love it so much? not bashing you or anything just really curious.
-
Well this appears to be the right place to talk about movies, yet somehow that doesn't seem to happen much....SO i thought it might be a fun idea to make a topic where people share and talk about their favorite movies! If you can't or don't want to name just 1 try for a top 3 or top 5...or just name a bunch you adore and would defend with your life For me, i think i'll go with Meet Joe Black, Seven Psychopaths, Pitch Black, Little Miss Sunshine, Much Ado About Nothing, and There Will Be Blood.

Well, one more episode to go. no idea how they can end it so they'll probably have to make more... ANYHOO i figured out why they are only doing 25. Well as of episode 24 the show has covered 31 chapters of the manga...and as of August 9th, which was when the latest volume was released, there are 46 chapters.....the manga production is a bit slow, one volume being released every 4 months and the volumes alternating between 4 and 5 chapters. Basically there are, without fail, 9 chapters every 8 months. The next volume should be out in early December with 5 chapters, bringing the total to 51. So if 24 episodes covers 31 chapters, with 46 total right now they could do maybe 11 or 12 more episodes. Then they would have to just stop or pull a Naruto and make a ridiculous amount of filler episodes. And nobody wants that. Realistically speaking, if they start again in April, which is when season 1 started, they will have a total of 55 chapters, and assuming episode 25 covers one chapter, they will have 23 more chapters to work with. So maybe they can do less per episode and squeeze in another 25, or maybe they will wait longer, i don't know. But they can't continue it much more right now so stopping at 25 makes sense. it's not like they are working with a massive or completed manga here, and the manga only releases around 1 chapter a month, while the anime apparently covers a little more than a chapter per episode. What they could do then is keep the band together and wait a year or maybe a little more, so there is more source material to work with, then start again, perhaps with another 25. At this point i'm wondering how long the manga will be because it's being published so slowly that if it isn't done in another 25 episodes it would be at least 3 or 4 years from now until we could theoretically get a 3rd season, because the anime could get completely caught up and it takes 28 months for the manga to release 31-32 chapters.

So....apparently i'm unique somehow because the only person i ever lost more than once or twice to(not counting solaris of course) was Florinia; i had NO TROUBLE with the Cradily. None. i had plenty of things that did enough to kill it and it couldnt do enough damage to me. I lost at least 20 times to florinia because of the Breloom that spams Spore. my pokemon would be asleep constantly until the breloom has max attack and sweeps the rest. Over and over and over again. The only reason i won was with a lot of luck...i think Breloom activated the Static on my flaaffy at the time, or maybe i got a bunch of crits. The problem wasnt hurting breloom, it was getting the chance to...i didnt have anything faster than it at the time.

where can i get a koffing then?
-
i had a bit of trouble originally, then i got a Gallade with Psycho Cut and destroyed her with it. Gyarados is always helpful for high damage and good speed, and i had a Yanmega as well to get some fast hits in although its moves weren't great
-
damn, i wanted it to have a strong special move that isn't ghost-type...hmm.
-
So i found out that ghastly can get Sludge Wave as a DW exclusive move(and cant learn it from tm BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE) Anyway i was wondering if it is possible for the ghastly to get Sludge Wave either by level up or just when you get it, i'm not sure how that works in this game. Does anybody know or have thart move on their ghastly?

i agree but solid snake was already in SSBB so adding another character from that franchise is by no means Farfetch'd
-
Well i should be able to watch 24 tonight and 25 will be the last apparently. i don't think it will have an anime exclusive ending, because so far it's been pretty much all adaptation. The gore level is high, but not Elfen Lied high, so it's probably fine. And the fact that characters get killed off like that is a big part of why it's so popular i think; most anime will have lots of people that are basically invincible, or at least very much superhuman. It's fascinating to see a show where humanity is really quite disadvantaged, and besides some cool gadgets and skills most of them are fairly normal. it adds a sense of realism. Not since watching tengen toppa gurren lagann have i been so surprised by the outcome of events in relation to its characters though. Oh and Ame, it's probably up there yea. the other day i heard people talking about it in my college english class, i feel like that's notable. I think Naruto and One piece are the others in the top 3 then; bleach used to be but it ended abruptly(though not as abruptly as fairy tail) naruto and one piece will probably go for several more years at least though, and i think the main reason they are so very popular is because they have so many episodes. I remember when naruto was totally unknown, i was watching it at a time when only a few episodes were out in japan. Although of course thats not the only thing, because Detective Conan has more episodes than either of them and is not nearly as popular, which is a shame, because it's great. Attack on Titan IS getting a live action movie though, if that's any consolation.
-
Yea i did some research and found that the last 7 or 8 episodes were completely anime-exclusive material...i liked it a lot though but i mean from the beginning it was such a big idea, i feel like there was so much that was never covered. Like what Gehenna is like, or who the other 7 demon kings are besides amaimon. i might read the manga then but i'm really hoping for a new season or something now. As far as anime-exclusive endings go though they could've done much worse. Inuyasha final cut worse.

Well that was a bit tough but i beat her....the reward was definitely worth the hassle getting it.

I FOUND KIKI!!!!! OH GOD WHY DID I HAVE TO FIND KIKI.......it's scary

This didn't have its own topic, and that was a serious problem. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a lot of people here probably watch this show, so i feel like we should discuss it. Like the style and the music and the plot, and the vastness and grandeur of the concept and the vagueness of the knowledge we have been given thus far...snd the fact that it is ending in just over a week, with no current info on when or if it will be brought back.
-
well i just watched this whole series in about 2 days, and i liked it a lot but felt it should've been longer, perhaps with more character development and more about the world and the types of demons. Anyhoo, has anybody else seen it? what are your thoughts?

Against steelix i simply put up Gyarados, used Rain dance and one Dragon Dance, and hit it with 3 aqua tails. Never lost a pokemon. Against abra, i put out Cryogonal with its ridiculous special defense, and it survived a hit so it could put up a light screen(and it holds light clay so 8 turns instead of 5 ) then i let it get killed so i could bring out my Gallade and use 2 night slashes...1 was a crit(he has scope lens; 25% crit chance is good) so i didn't have trouble there. I don't think either of them are too easy, although a little tweaking wouldn't hurt; i simply messed with my team enough that i should be prepared for any possible situation, and i have to try to be, because Ame i must never forget that you are crazy and will throw the most amazingly deadly shit at me in epic surprises. Which is something i love by the way

Yea if cyndaquil is an option you pick him, that's all there is to it. I ended up happy with my decision late-game as well because i find that it was very easy to get great water(gyarados with aqua tail SWEEPS EVERYTHING) and great grass(originally going for roserade but currently using Gallade's leaf blade) but not as much for great fire, unless i wasn't going to get the mareep, and if i wasn't trying to get the mareep to make an Ampharos(god) i may as well stop playing pokemon altogether Ampharos is probably all around the best pokemon ever. Well, non-uber at least. i could've gone for a blaziken but despite the speed boost, i don't like it that much; the stats of blaziken seem confused and fucked up, it's too balanced and it ends up ridiculous. Infernape just doesn't have enough good moves. Charizard is great but it also has a similar problem, in fact i don't think it gets any good flying moves by levelup, plus the 4x weakness to rock is hard to deal with...i have it on my Yanmega but it's a yanmega, it can find ways around silly things like being attacked. Basically, as of gen 5, if you're choosing a starter pokemon, go with either cyndaquil or totodile. Not because they look nice or have cool names, because they are literally more efficient in battle, having only 1 type and as such fewer weaknesses, great stat distribution, and good movesets with excellent learnable moves from various sources. I think if i had all the TMs i'd go with totodile because feraligatr can learn some pretty versatile stuff.

Are you talking about the path in the wasteland full of caves and rock smash and a rat god and spiritomb? i went through there and i didnt need strength and i dont remember any use for it there but i'll be sure to check now.

The SSBB roster was good, but some of them were just totally unnecessary...like Bowser, or maybe Ganon. and there were basically 3 Foxes with different colors. So keep all the rest and put in Doctor Mario, Mewtwo, Octillery, Ampharos, Isaac from golden sun, Alex from golden sun, Jeff from Earthbound, Gallade, and especially Raiden from Metal Gear Rising. That Sword. Yes.

well i don't know if she teleported but a lot of things did there and since she is not near the pokemon center i figure she is by the forest....except i just spent a lot of time making sure i covered every little spot of the forest and she most definitely is not there unless she is disguised as a tree. Seriously. You said by the tracks go north, i found a cave i hadnt been to but she wasnt in there. she isnt in the house either or near it. I feel like either she's invisible or i did something wrong.

after a lot of trail and error with strategies, i ended up mainly using my Gyarados; it was raining the whole time and his Cinccino was paralyzed from my Ampharos' static, then i put out Cryogonal and(while it is holding light clay) put up a Reflect, since most of his team attacks physically, and it lasted 8 turns. Then i brought out Gyarados and got out 2 dragon dances and swept almost his whole team with Aqua Tail. Somehow, in the rain, with around 270 attack from the boosts, using a 90 power aqua tail +STAB, he could not instantly kill the Staraptor. It hung on by a few hp, then killed my gyarados and itself with a brave bird. Then i had my gallade against his clefable, which worked because gallade has great attack and special defense, but i think the game glitched because at one point my gallade had +6 attack(around 500 i believe) and used a Psycho Cut on his clefable, which at the time only had +1 defense.....and it did around 7-8% of clefable's hp. i was baffled, it should've instakilled it AND THEN SOME, and oddly i hit a critical later that did around 40%, with psycho cut again too; i couldn't make any sense of that. Anyway i think you should try to take advantage of the weather, but what you really need as well is either a very very fast pokemon that can somehow instantly kill everything, or a really good physical tank. I normally use Ampharos as my physical wall(just use cotton guard once and an earthquake is worthless against him) but against Noel's pokemon i couldn't get the chance to do that because i could never attack first and i would barely survive the first attack(oh yea i had no recovery items of any kind, no potions or anything, i couldn't figure out how to get more after leaving the underground tunnels that first time, without going all the way back to obsidia) I don't think it's possible to get a steelix yet, but i think a gigalith couldve worked(i have one actually but stopped using it recently because it was so slow it often just died from special attacks before it could do much, so it is at lv45 right now) I suppose Empoleon could do the trick actually. Anything that would resist normal and flying and maybe psychic really.
-
i mean...i figure there are probably some hidden spots i could get to with strength i hadn't thought about or that i forgot about, that would get me new items or pokemon. So far i found a shortcut from obsidia to tanzan(very nice btw) and another of those strange doors in the volcano. There is another boulder in the volcano and it REALLY looked like i was supposed to move it around to put it in this hole there, but it doesn't go into the hole, and you can normally just walk around it, so it appears to be totally random and useless. Anyway, what else is there for places to use strength for something? i mean besides the underground tunnel of course. Places you don't HAVE to go.

all right thanks, i have 4 stickers now but are there any more available yet? could somebody list them then? i did a search on the forum a while ago for that and found no actual list or even a conclusive number...so yea, i'm wondering if i somehow missed any. i've completed episode 9 btw.
-
there was another metal door and i connected the train tracks and it opened, and i found a man there(and a dusk stone farther in) and i basically rescued him, and he said he is the boyfriend of a girl in obsidia(and i distinctly remember a bystander in obsidia talking about how her boyfriend fell in the hole) so i went back to obsidia and...i can't find him. i figure ill get a sticker or a wailord or something for this but I CANNOT FIND HIM ANYWHERE! i checked every nook and cranny, every building, everything. All over. spent over half an hour doing it...and he's nowhere to be found, nor is the girlfriend for that matter. SO WHERE DID THEY GO?
-
i want a pokemon with good level up moves and a good special attack and speed, that gets moves of types not already on my main team. So after a lot of research i really want a Yanmega...i did a search on the forum and checked the obtainables, it's found in the wild and somebody said you headbutt trees on azurine island, but i've been headbutting trees on azurine island for nearly an hour now, encountered at least 20 pokemon, none of which are yanma...so is it a low chance or was that one guy that said that wrong, or something? because i'm starting to feel like i'm doing something wrong here. i just want the yanma.
