  1. one time a few years ago i had a dream that i was bitten by a snake on my arm, i woke up a bit later, whole bed soaked in sweat, dried blood and what almost looked like a couple of healed wounds on my arm where i had been bitten in the dream. It looked to me like a snake had bitten me for real, or at least how i figured it would look. I felt fine, no pain or anything anywhere, but it was freaky as hell.
  2. it's a video game series. If pokemon existed and people did all this stuff, it would be a very different scenario. Now, conceptually, pokemon games are pretty barbaric and obviously immoral; you go and seek out these battles and your pokemon will be injured and are pretty much supposed to have total obedience. I'm not bashing it of course i'm just saying, if you think about it a lot that is how it is. You could be peaceful and nonviolent in a pokemon game and the game would not progress and you would pretty much be stuck just playing the casino games and talking to people. However, that doesn't mean PETA has any logical reason to attack it or even have any problem with it. It isn't real and means nothing for animals or any animal cruelty. It's much worse when a dog or cat or some real animal is shown to die in a movie or tv show because those are actual real animals and that would, realistically, be a bigger problem under PETA's apparent point. i've never heard of them doing that though. Basically, PETA is like those religious people that say that homosexuality is wrong because it says so in the bible but they follow nothing else from the bible. They are selfish and ridiculous people that simply pick-and-choose what to be angry about based on their own idiotic misconceptions and views, and passing it off claiming they have a reason outside their own closed-minded hatred. Go ahead and pool in the people that hate video games or anime without ever watching anime or playing video games. They pretend to know what they are talking about but they don't have any idea how it really is. If i had a nickel for every time i heard some fool refer to video games as 'mindless' i'd be a rich man. Anyway, PETA should probably just go away now because they are unbearably irrational.
  3. Jynx because imo it looks freakier than any other pokemon, and it seriously looks like it has fairly realistic hair, and possibly blackface. However, more even than that, the most terrifying pokemon to me is definitely Unown. They have all these different shapes and only hidden power but GODDAMMIT THEY ARE SO FUCKING MYSTERIOUS. I keep wondering what is up with them, how they are created and exactly how and why they relate to all this crazy ancient stuff. They are one of only a few pokemon that are not legendary or baby and cannot breed at all. I just get so creeped out by them, and the 3rd pokemon movie only cements this ominous feeling (they even kidnapped a professor among other things)
  4. If you don't want to go with an electric type but still need to deal with flying, go with Jynx at least for a while. Smoochum is available very early on, and Jynx learns some good moves via level up such as Wring Out and Perish Song. It also has great special attack and good speed, and can learn Frost Breath by TM when you get it, which is fantastic. If you use a heart scale you can also ive it Draining Kiss which can give you an offensive fairy move as well as helping you keep Jynx alive.
  5. Stuff like that is bound to happen with Trace, but according to Bulbapedia Trace is not supposed to be able to copy Impostor (i have yet to confirm this in any games or the PO simulator.) There are a few negative abilities you have to worry about though, such as Defeatist, Hustle (no way your gardevoir is physical and you would still get the accuracy drop) and especially Truant. I suggest you change its ability, probably to Telepathy because it will surely help against the double battles, which can be pretty crazy.
  6. Megahorn requires and uses a horn...why would there be sand there, with that logic you can add lots of water and rock moves in case there are puddles and stones and things, i mean that's taking a leap...Trick is literally tricking the opponent, if you can say you can make faces and noises and stuff how can you say you can't trick them in many ways? Trick Room just says creating a bizarre area, which could be interpreted in several ways, which is why i said maybe. Detect doesn't seem to fit because it's all mental and internal, claiming that it lets the user evade all attacks, it has nothing to do with opponents, or watching or predicting anything (that's not even a leap, what you said just made no sense). Detect is something that involves thinking and moving in a certain way for an effect, regardless of the opponent. If you want to put something like that in there, there are a hell of a lot of status moves that would fit as well such as Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Agility, Stockpile, all the dancing moves, and most self-recovery moves. I'm not sure why you said that thing about physical moves, I actually mentioned several logical special and status moves, but i'm not sure you understand the way this works. Certainly seems like it anyway. Let me explain. The moves are chosen mainly because of their animation and their description, not actually their name or their category. it's very conceptual. Everything I said fits with the concepts based on other moves chosen and only mentioned because I looked at the descriptions and animations, and I also addressed some apparent outliers that probably do not belong. One more thing: why is Baby Doll Eyes not in there? There are already many moves allowed involving the eyes and staring or looking at enemies in a certain way, such as Scary Face and Glare. It seems odd to include moves requiring horns and fangs (which no people have) but not moves with claws. Tails pretty much fit in there too, but of all those, claws and fangs make the most sense because people and bite and claw at other people. Well hopefully you understand now Secundum.
  7. i fail to understand why Detect is in there. Also, shouldn't trick (and perhaps even trick room) be in there? Think about it. The other thing is, I don't fully understand why claw and slash moves are not included...they are basically physical contact attacks with limbs. I mean sure it's not directly a punch or kick but neither is sucker punch (literally translates to Surprise Attack and is not boosted by iron fist, also can be used by many pokemon without the ability to punch) or any fang move. Howl and Harden seem strange too, and Sand Attack is just ridiculous. Anyway, i won't ask for Iron Tail or the like, but can we get maybe a Night Slash and Shadow Claw and maybe a Leaf Blade in here? Also, i noticed we don't get either Echoed Voice, Belch, Hyper Voice, Wring Out or Frost Breath, all of which seem to fit with everything else just fine(you have several moves in the list that involve making noise, wring out is literally wringing the opponent, and frost breath is literally breathing on your opponent, which, albeit creepy as fuck, is completely realistic anyway). Somebody please explain Megahorn because it does not fit with anything else at all. Also explain why Acrobatics is not there, it fits with everything. Retaliate too, i think.
  8. You'd be surprised by the pokemon that can survive and sweep well with the right build/setup. A lot of them are NU.
  9. Sorry Vinny, it's me instead, but i have my fingers crossed for Ikaru
  10. Well...i guess that's it then. I understand with your reasoning. I don't know how to feel about this, it seems strange, but at least you will still be around a bit and that's good.
  11. Gosh, i love Yugioh but i don't have anybody to play with right now.. Crystal Beasts are good i use them sometimes. My favorite card, due to how amazing it is, would have to be Raging Flame Sprite. If you are not familiar with it, it is a 3 star pyro monster with 100 attack and 200 defense, but it can attack directly, and every time it attacks successfully, it gains 1000 attack. I've won many duels using it, assisting it with a Level Limit Area B, or perhaps a Heart of Clear Water. One of the best though is to bring out a Solar Flare dragon before you bring out Raging Flame Sprite, and equipping it with Raregold Armor. When you bring out the Raging Flame Sprite, your opponent cannot attack Solar Flare Dragon but also can only attack Solar Flare Dragon, which results in an opponent's inability to attack anything. Without a magic or trap card to destroy your monsters, they can't do anything, and even if they have a Millenium Shield or something that would normally protect their life points, as high as the Raging Flame Sprite's attack might get, it can still attack directly. So nice.
  12. http://prntscr.com/33xpzw i just went 6-0 using only a shuckle. people told me i should put this on the forum so here ya go oh and the guy used good pokemon and moves, he wasn't some super-newbie or something. By the way at the end there his Virizion was using those attacks because it actually ran out of PP for Sacred Sword, not just because he didn't think of it or anything.
  13. so i should talk less? or just show less detail? i am actually pretty humble though, or at least mentally. i know people never seem to think so, i suppose it's from the way i talk about stuff. Admittedly, when i am...passionate about an opinion of mine i tend to say a lot about it and i might get a bit argumentative. i don't mean to, i get...excited. Bad habit for sure. Also sometimes i state what i perceive to be facts about myself and it comes across as bragging, which i understand but i'm not sure how to get a point or some information across without seeming like i am bragging to other people. i feel really guilty when i offend people and i really don't want anybody to be upset with me, if possible i want everybody to be happy all the time. Perhaps that is naive but i'd like to do whatever i can.
  14. Never. i will use them for justice!
  15. I recently found out that i am considered annoying and condescending at times. i don't mean to be. and so i do not understand....how not to be. i don't want people to dislike me or for anybody to be irritated or offended by me, but the way i speak is...different from that of other people. So i am making this thread for information. I need to know what people think, and why, preferably in detail. I must need to change the way i speak in some way because i did not even know how people felt at all. I am very serious about this. i'm lost and i don't know how i should communicate anymore. So please, help me understand this and help me talk to people in a way that does not annoy or offend them in any way. i don't want to be that person and i don't want to be viewed in a negative way at all so i need to...change my speech patterns, perhaps the words, the phrases, the style...anything and everything that is taken as offensive or irritating. i can't do this on my own without more information, so please help me.
  16. Here will be the topic for cool gimmicks or just things you have found out about and used well, perhaps things that are not especially obvious but still can work well, perhaps with obscure pokemon or moves or items, etc. I've noticed that, in this forum, there are a few different things mentioned like this but a whole new topic to say "try using Echoed Voice on Aurorus" seems unnecessary. Therefore, i decided to make this topic for advice on strategies/useful information regarding using pokemon with certain combinations, because if we had a new topic for every one, there would surely be thousands. Post evidence or something if possible, otherwise just describe stuff and maybe put up stats if you want. Try to answer with a bit of detail as well please, and of course we can discuss the ideas a bit for modifications and opinions. I guess, to start, i'll explain a couple things: I have started using a Shuckle with Sturdy that holds a Binding Band and uses Infestation mainly. See, because of the Binding Band, Infestation will do 1/6 of enemy max hp each turn, for 4-5 turns, which is about 18%. This is not affected by any stats whatsoever, so even if i have -6 attack it will still do that. And nothing is immune to bug, and resistances do not affect the damage over time. As such, as long as Shuckle can survive, it can continue to use this with the same effectiveness. I focused all EVs on hp and defense and special defense, mainly HP, with a nature benefiting Defense and reducing special attack. My Shuckle has Sticky Web to reduce enemy speed(another pokemon on my team has trick room which could help for some time as well) It also uses Power trick and Rest to keep itself alive, which it can do fairly well. With this setup i have used Shuckle to take out multiple enemy pokemon by itself, and since defenses are irrelevant in this, i could use it against a Registeel or a Clefable with 6 Cosmic Powers and it would still destroy it just as fast. Here are some links to screenshots of my Shuckle beating an Aegislash(it badly hurt 2 other pokemon and took out another by itself): http://prntscr.com/32wrca part 1 http://prntscr.com/32wrre part 2 Also, i have started using a Diggersby with reduces hp and defenses, a Focus sash, and Flail. Excluding stealth rock and harmful weather, which have both recently become less common, it can take a full hard hit and have 1hp left and use Flail with 200 power + STAB and with huge power it already has massive attack. against steel/rock types i have earthquake as well. I also run it with Agility and Swords Dance; i use Agility on the first turn as the opponent attacks me, and i will have a pokemon with a move with an effective 300 power, over 450 attack, and over 500 speed. It's quite good for sweeping. Yes, it can be immediately destroyed with priority attacks but they are not especially common and it will probably at least take out a couple pokemon first. i don't have screenshots for this but i can attest to its usefulness. Belly Drum can immediately activate a Sitrus Berry and bring a pokemon back to 74%hp. Immediately. This also means that a pokemon can use Belly Drum and survive as long as, on the first turn they are out, they take less than 75% of their hp. This can be used on a lot of pokemon in a lot of ways to immediately have a huge attack boost. Assault Vest: Put it on a naturally strong pokemon with high defense but sub-par special defense and then put EVs into both a bit. You can turn what used to be only a physical tank into a balanced physical and special tank, great examples include Gigalith, Leafeon, and Donphan. In earlier generations, there was not much you could do for that low special defense; even if you concentrated EVs and Nature into it, it not be as great as you would hope. Now you can do that, and the only tradeoff is being unable to use status moves(which those pokemon do not need to do anyway) I will probably share more soon, but i am also quite curious to see what other people have to say and share.
  17. http://prntscr.com/32pjt1 Taken after my dad's third wedding in january. Enjoy. Sorry if my face looks odd, i was facing the sun.
  18. i'm so confused here i saved the woman from Spinel Town and i keep coming back occasionally to see if she will show up in front of the pokemon center and she just will not do it. I want that damn sticker.
  19. i had to lower its special attack by surviving a hit with my Ampharos and using Confide, and then my Gallade was tanky enough to survive 2 hits, so i used Pyroar's flamethrower to hurt him a little and then when it died brought in Gallade and used Swords Dance then Close Combat and instakilled it from like 90%. I'd tried other things before but he likes to spam recover, and burn/poison wouldnt work because he has full heals too but i never tried siding with El, just like with the Garchomp earlier i was determined to win somehow and then i did

    Um so...

http://prntscr.com/32feb1 this guy has been asleep FOR SEVERAL DAYS. I AM WORRIED ABOUT HIS HEALTH! Amethyst should let me bring him human medicine to cure him of his coma.
  21. Seriously i see it and several ladders and things but can't find a way to get to them anywhere. Already beat the ditto arceus. Really want to explore there and get the TM. Please help.
  22. I don't like the taste of coffee. Oh and i can't drink water because, according to doctors, it screws with my stomach acids. Basically if i take a sip of pure water i get acid reflux, might puke. I drink soda and milk mainly though.
  23. Pretty sure she doesn't know the meaning of the word "nice". All she understands is Cain humor and cruelty
  24. i didn't, there was so much at once all over the place, but i'd bet money that Mashew did.
  25. There's no real answer to why riolu is not in the game right now, unless Amethyst wants to pipe in and explain her reasoning. To get Ditto, you have to be by the cages in the Blacksteam factory, it has nothing to do with the day-care people. It is part of the main story as well. When you see a bunch of pokemon around you in cages, you need to have the abra teleport the makuhita under the ditto, and the ditto will transform and break out of the cage and ask to join you, no battle.
