Well they pretty much used every detail of Mecha/Gundam Anime as a reference point.

There is this cave by the Beryl Ward gym, you should see the entrance if you just walk to where all the graves are. And when you travel through the cave and do a bit of exploring you should eventually find your way to a hideout that a bunch of Nuzleaf and a Shiftry. Careful though, because the Shiftry leader is at level 65.

Well for Shade, the two that I had that helped me out in a way were Mightyena and Granbull since the type advantage that Mightyena has since it's a dark type and Granbull with it's high attack stat. But when I faced Shade my Mightyena was around level 33 and you can also get Houndour in the alley where the Magma Gang in the North Obsidian Ward. Also there is the Nuzleaf you can obtain after battling Shiftry and its Pokemon Gang, you can find them if you go in that Cave by the Beryl Ward Gym.

They're American versions of Gundams/Mobile Suits, that's all they really are. Still I want to go see this, it would be nice if they broke out a Mecha that used a scythe.

Alright, well this is mostly for the new members and to keep things somewhat tidy. Simply you post your current playthrough team and post whatever advice you have: whether it is picking between on pokemon or another. Things like type advantages, weaknesses, good move sets for whatever gym you're facing/going to face, and having couple of back ups, if you're main partners become over-leveled.

Just keeping messing with the time on your cmputer and it'll eventually rain.

Well that makes my decision final, don't get a GT6, buy a PS4 and get Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I'm slightly disappointed in Sony, but even more by Polyphony Digital.

Yeah, I caught one myself (Hasty Nature with Toxic Boost). Zangoose on appears at night when it's raining, Dani helped me out and posted a screenshot on page 8 in this thread. Zangoose only appears in the alleys looking through garbage. Also every time you talk to it, it runs away this repeats about 5 times after you first encounter it, I suggest you save each time before you do it. Note that it is at level 40.

One good suggestion would be Zangoose if you can find it before you battle Aya, especially if it has its dream world ability toxic boost.

Well I think it's pretty bad ass to have 4 rivals, one probably that is an easy win, two would probably be a challenge but not too much of a problem to beat, and the last one would probably give you a good run for your money.

It's not like having few back ups is going to be a drawback, you really can't just power through most of the gym leader's teams. Knowing that they have moves to compensate for their type weaknesses one way or another. Depending on the gym and future gym leaders that you'll battle, you might need to switch around your team in order to have a good strategic chance at beating them. I myself have enough back up partners to actually make another two whole teams of 6.

One thing I've been wondering about is that, from what I can remember from the information that was given out at e3 and what could be found on youtube, is that they're taking out the friend code aspect in Pokemon X&Y or something like that.

I used to be a big NFS fan (Underground 1&2, Most Wanted, Carbon, Pro Street) until they started, in my opinion putting out less than amazing games the last few years, The Run was crappy and the Most Wanted reboot ehhh. And probably like the last game they won't have any customization options. -.- The only way I can see myself buying GT6 at this point knowing that its only going to be on the PS3, is if by some chance you can play PS3 games on the PS4.
