  1. List of verses I'm qualified for: 1: Homestuck. I am on my 8th read-through. I am probably the most qualified to handle any discrepancies with that verse. Do NOT trust its wiki absolutely- people tend to post speculation as fact. 2: Pokemon (up to Gen III). 3: Digimon (but not season 4).
  2. ^This. This is what usually happens for forum-based RPs. With exceptions for certain situations.
  3. That may be your computer, then. I can go up to 7.0x without problems for battles.
  4. I might as well sign up Jake for this, though please excuse any misinformation on my part, as I haven't played Gold, Silver, or Crystal in YEARS, and never got to play ANY games for the DS. Is starting with a Beldum okay? EDIT: Also, @Lunar081: My character was originally much, much worse than yours was Marty Stu-wise, and yet he was technically pretty much average in the RP I used him in. It all depends on how you portray the dude. Sure, a tragic backstory involving attempting to create a portal to another dimension backfiring to completely incinerate one's left arm up to the shoulder resulting in a series of events leading to acquiring a (sort of) robotic arm is pretty damn Sue-ish, but it actually became a realistic handicap in its own setting (having to maintain a robotic arm is a *****, ESPECIALLY on limited resources), leading to a richer RP experience.
  5. -Name: Jake Lucas -Appearance/Characteristics: 6'3" lanky man with messy orange hair, heavily freckled, and starting to show signs of male pattern baldness, despite his young age. Likes wearing casual clothes, even in his workplace, usually with some sort of sarcastic message on his t-shirt. This would usually get someone fired, if it weren't for the fact that he's just good enough at said job to get away with it, and that he's usually not involved in stuff where he has to deal with people. -Birthday: June 25th 1990 -Things to Know: He's a computer engineer who pretty much got left with 3 people's work after the company he works for downsized to save money. Stubborn and a little arrogant, he's usually polite to people who don't piss him off. Though, there's something a little off with him... He has an older half-brother who he has not heard word of in years... Note: This is a complete redesign of a character I used to roleplay on another forum. That one was a Marty Stu through and through because he was based on a version of me. This one is clearly much more interesting. EDIT: -Roleplay universe: Any in which a Computer Engineer is a viable job. He is nearly a universal constant.
  6. I have been guilty of this before, but only because, at times, there are really only a few things a given character can do under certain situations, usually because one cannot take control of another person's character. As such, there should be exceptions to the rule, such as for situations where any extended actions make little sense in the context besides upping the word count. Generally, though, I think it should be up to whomever moderates/oversees/whatevers a given RP to make their own judgement over what is "too short of a reply" in a given RP.
  7. Is there any point in keeping this thread up any longer since the new fossil pokemon have been revealed, and the X/Y topic is a perfectly viable place to discuss them?
  8. I beat Steelix by cycling out my Magmar and Marowak until I beat it, and as for Abra, I OHKO'd it with, I think Mawile. I lost 4 pokemon before I got to him, though.

    Munna?

weather actually DOES affect the wild pokemon encounters, but not by much. Usually, it just affects certain species being a little more or less likely to be out. And yeah, I have a Munna, too. Never found it to be useful, and looking up its stats, I decided not to waste my moonstone trying to evolve it.
  10. Only problem is that Chespin would take 4x damage from Fire attacks in his final evolution if that typing were true. ...Oh. THAT'S why we get two starters.
  11. I'm thinking that Fennikin's final evolution may have a Fairy secondary typing, because that stick is clearly a wand.
  12. I never knew this existed. But the commercial is funny as hell-

  13. When it gets updated with Fairy, I'll retake it, but for now, I'm Steel/Psychic. I'm a goddamn Metagross. What's funny is, the first time through, I got pure Fighting type. That was going as I would WANT to react. Then I took it as how I would actually react, and I got Steel/Psychic.
  14. Nope. Never played it, so I know nothing about that game. Before today, I didn't even know there were frogs in that game. ...I'm probably thinking of the giant frogs from Naruto.
  15. Metagross, if I can learn to somehow levitate in such a way as to appear bipedal. Else Mewtwo, because he's a Psychic badass who can take down the Elite 4 on his own (I actually did this on Pokemon Red one time. Had to use Full Restore quite a few times, but I used only Mewtwo. I was kinda stubborn as a kid). And that was BEFORE Gen VI introduced Mega Evolutions.
  16. A yakuza frog... Why does that seem familiar? Quick, someone do fanart.
  17. Pretty sure you're gonna have to wait for a few more episodes before that happens. EV raising items seems like it would fall under competitive training items, which would need 8 stickers, IIRC.
  18. @T-Raz: Get Fennekin/Squirtle. I was planning on getting a Froakie/Charmander combo, it'll be nice to have some sort of parallel with SOMEone. Assuming I can get enough money for a 2DS and Pokemon X in time... I have legitimate familial reasons for needing to get Xerneas. EDIT: I also need to get 2 Pyroars for the same reason.
  19. I hate it when people can't sing. Hurts my ears. But it's funny when I see them fail at it horribly. http://youtu.be/27-mI1FTJRw

  20. If we can't has pseudo-legendaries, how about the next best thing? Other pokemon from the OU list.
  21. I couldn't find it, either. I think it's actually just how Gengar's going to be OP in Gen 6, due to how it can beat the crap out of Fairy types..
  22. My two cents- I know for a FACT that Smack Down triggers the EXP glitch, probably due to its unique secondary effect (temporarily cancels the Levitate ability of the targeted pokemon (likely also targets pokemon using Magnet Rise as well), targets pokemon using Fly (and cancels it), makes Flying type pokemon temporarily vulnerable to Ground type moves).
