Speaking of- Are there any plans of introducing a limited version of Super Training into a future update at any point? I had an idea for a place where you could EV train your pokemon, but only for so many EVs before you needed the next badge. And on top of that, you needed a new type of currency, or perhaps just Game Center tokens.

That actually makes me wonder- Does pokerus make Super Training more effective?

For me, it was after a random encounter after the second gym in Gold version. I thought I screwed up the game at the time. It wasn't until AFTER the pokemon center lady told me it was a good thing that I realized everything was okay and that it was fine.

Oddly enough, I think it was a shiny Paras in Silver.

I never had a DS, so I cannot say anything about the latest 3 generations. But as for Gen I, II, and II, I can say Gen II was the one I had the least amount of love for. Gen I was new and exciting, and the playing was simple, EV was something only people who REALLY knew the game understood (or even knew existed), Mewtwo was THE BOSS, and Mew was something you had to hunt down other people to acquire, if you didn't have a game shark. Gen II was basically just a sequel to Gen I, and really only introduced about 100 new pokemon, two new types- dark and steel, and two new game mechanics- genders/breeding and time mechanics. While yes, I LOVE those two types to death (I cannot name any pokemon with either a Dark or Steel primary or secondary typing that isn't awesome in some way, not counting Gen IV on, since I never played those), the anime is actually what ruined it for me (Celebi was supposed to come out of the GS Ball! Screw you, lazy writers, Celebi could have traveled with Ash without plot holes because TIME TRAVELERS CAN TRAVEL THROUGH TIME!). I mean, you give the main character a second chance to win it all, and he still messes up. Gen III, in my opinion, was new for me. I never watched the anime, so that didn't spoil anything for me, and the designs for the pokemon, and everything else, really, were pretty damn eye-catching. The two rival Teams was something that was never seen again, and, in all honesty, was probably one of the best things about that generation. Seriously, two gangs waging war against each other for control of a region? Sounds like an interesting, albeit somewhat cliche, setting to me. Also, that generation introduced METAGROSS. To this day, Metagross is my favorite pokemon, even above Rayquaza. Barely.

...I could've SWORN I answered this one ages ago... Gen I for the battle system's simplicity, but Gen III for everything else. Never got to play Gens IV, V, or VI as I couldn't afford a DS.

So nobody mentions Zygarde. If I can't get a 2DS and Pokemon X by the time the Torchic event ends, I'm holding out for Pokemon Z.

Need I even mention Pokemon ReBurst? Human's gaining the power of Pokemon... Do you really think HUMANS could achieve that sort of technology on their own? In story, it even says that it was given to them by some being I don't know the name of because I didn't read that far and depended on the wiki for this point. EDIT: I keep hearing that, in Gen IV, there was something about humans having evolved (not the pokemon kind) from some unknown species of pokemon in there. WE ARE A PART OF THE INVASION ALREADY! THAT'S WHY THE POKEMON LISTEN TO US! WE WERE PART OF OUR OVERLORDS' PLANS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!!! EDIT 2: And then there's the Rescue Team series', where human children wake up AS pokemon! IT ALL MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!

I cannot see ANY difference to Kangaskhan's design in pre and post evolutions, aside from the kid being out of the pouch. Also, Froakie line confirmed for ninja frogs. Now if only his head didn't look so stupid... EDIT: Also, for some reason, Chespin's final evolution reminds me of a freaking Paladin from some games.

You're on the right track, RisingManes, but another user was close to the core issue behind everything as well earlier- nobody's being bothered to look into the facts themselves. A lot of this comes from willful ignorance- everybody's just shutting out the facts that don't fit with their worldview, either intentionally or not, on their own or by allowing themselves to be manipulated. The Tea Party is basically this taken to an extreme, using the pretext of patriotism to mask it. Poorly. And as a result, they have been responsible for complicating some of the worst fuckups in recent history- not necessarily the cause of it all, but making things unnecessarily complicated. These complications, while not necessarily the cause of the shutdown, are definitely greatly contributing towards it. And most of the members are likely unaware of it themselves for the aforementioned reason. To be honest, I don't think things are gonna get better until some things are brought to light, and the people allowing this are made aware of their mistakes. And unfortunately, those sorts of people have a strong tendency to be either very prideful, or in the pockets of those who stand to gain something. And that just pisses me off.

Ironically, socializing healthcare would probably end most of the issues. Too bad we've still got too much prejudice against socialism.

*sigh* This government shutdown is actually affecting me in a very serious way. Due to a hiccup in the bureaucracy of Social Security, I'm not getting the checks I need to help keep a roof over my head, because they apparently overlooked the paperwork we sent in. They finally found it, and there's supposed to be a hearing, and we're supposed to get checks, but then the government shutdown happened, and now everything's in limbo, and I'll likely not be getting my money until it's over. To the incompetent manchildren who are the source of this shutdown- Thank you SO fucking much!

So... If the first Mega Charizard revealed was Y exclusive, does that mean the other starters' revealed Mega Evos are Y exclusive as well, and that we'll see different Mega Evos for X?
