Have they been planning Mega Evolutions since the day Pokemon Red and Green first came out?! EDIT 2: Alternative hypothesis- Charcoalt was a prototype for a theoretical 4th stage pokemon that never saw production into the games. They simply recycled an old design to create Mega Charizard X for Gen VI.

Which episode? I found the first two in RAW format, but they really didn't show much aside from the new (and, IMO, improved) Brock, and the pokemon tower incident.

Hmm... Rather than a word count, I think it should be based off of the number of events being described. So in that situation, Pokelord's posts wouldn't move the timer, and neither would my most recent post. It would also prevent people making unnecessarily descriptive posts (aka purple prose) to up the word count in order to get around the rule.

So should we make a rule that posts under a certain word count do not count towards the countdown? If so, we'd be resetting the clock to, oh, 5-7 posts until day 2.

I see... Very good points, I'd say. also, I DID say that we only know for sure that the 1:1 ratio only applies to the primary session IE the seeded sessions. In the story itself, it's been implied there were other sessions, like fedorafreak's session, or even that that one football player may be part of a session where his own dreamself died. There is a LOT of flexibility. Although, the crossing sessions thing needs certain requirements to be met, though it shouldn't be too hard to pull off, with the proper information. There's a lot of room to explore an expanded universe. The problem with a 5th type of session, though, is that the conditions for each session type are pretty clearly defined, aside from minor differences separating successful and standard null sessions. There really isn't a lot of room for exploring a non-standard session type, since they are very much dependent on the conditions surrounding entry into the session (not counting the VERY abnormal conditions of Homestuck's own setting. But again, that one is also (somewhat) clearly defined). The only way I can think of around that is to find an entirely new way of entering a session that still designates you as a player through the game itself. ...Which is something you probably did. /rant Anyways, yeah, I never thought that having a vampire in a session would be too farfetched, considering rainbow drinkers. It has been stated that the abilities you get in the game are not the only ones you can use to win. You can use any other abilities you get through any means, be they racial abilities, like cherub planet-killing energies, or Vriska's mind control, things acquired through unusual circumstances, like John's new retcon ability, or even having your essence or something corrupted, like grimdark!Rose. I shall not even mention Trickster Mode outside this sentence. Point is, anything goes ability-wise. /rantagain Ectobiological cross-species hybrids are a bit of a stretch, but not unallowed, IMO. I was actually thinking that multi-species sessions could be a thing in an EU session. Just don't make a sue is all I can think to say. TL;DR version: I think uneven gender ratios are okay if it isn't a seeded session, a new session type requires some serious world-building to be acceptable, vampires are okay, along with any kind of innate or acquired superpower (just don't godmod), and hybrids are okay so long as they aren't Mary Sues trying to be the most important character. Also, I wanna be a Lord of Heart.

Okay. Give me a few hours, I've got a few things I need to do first, and then I need to rethink the scenario. Edit: The RP that used to be in and technically am still a part of had its own section for battles so as to not clog up the rest of the RP with blow by blows that could take a while to finish (some of them were ~150 posts long and took 3 months from start to finish because of the wide variety of time zones). Since this IS a pokemon RP, where battling is a major part of it, perhaps we could have a designated section for battles? Edit 2: Retcon complete.

An even gender ratio in Homestuck is there for a very specific reason for the primary sessions. Which was why I suggested dreambubble shenanigans- it lifts almost every restriction one would normally have, including but not limited to: species, genders, claspects, quadrant-based romance systems, etc. And the lack of clearly defined space-time can be used to explain in a convenient manner why someone just randomly dropped off the face of the earth for months at a time, only to reappear without warning.

Retcon the Shinx or the Power Bracer? I was gonna do the latter, anyways, but I needed to know about the former. EDIT: About the Mega Evo question... I do not believe it will be relevant for a while, as the requirements dictate in canon that a pokemon must be 1) fully evolved, 2) have an extremely high degree of friendship with their trainer, and 3) be holding a mega stone while their trainer has some sort of bracelet. So maybe ask again in a few months when we've gotten to the point where it's possible.

Oh snap, didn't see the no item rule. I'll have to go retcon the Power Bracelet then. I'm gonna wait for a reply from Amaterasu about the Shinx first, though. EDIT: Instead of posting it all here, should we make a thread to post our current teams, to keep it all nice and organized?

Amaterasu! I had a question since I messed up and used the official available pokemon list for Route 29 from Bulbapedia. Is it okay if I caught a Shinx, or do I need to retcon it, and change to another pokemon?
