That's actually not the case unless you do it in episode 12 or earlier. Episode 13 introduced Gen 6 breeding mechanics which won't pass down a move that is also a TM to any offspring.

Huh, never posted in this thread. Well first Pokemon ANYTHING was a Cubone card. First pokemon in a game was Squirtle, but I don't have a lot of sentimental attachment to it because I asked my older friend which one I should pick. So when Gen 2 rolled around, this time I chose for myself and I chose Totodile so I like it a lot more than Squirtle honestly. 'sides, What's cooler? Some silly turtle or a freaking Bipedal Alligator monster?

Except, Barbaracle is often considered PU, and Mawile is NU. Where as Sigilyph is BL3 and Keldeo is OU. The counter of Mawile to Barbaracle (being used in NU) is far more plausible than this joking suggestion you've made.

Ah so reaching 7th street assumes that you've already done the first half of this mini questline. So the Magma base is East of the Grand Staircase, not actually in Lapis.

I'll add a poll. For me it was definitely Radomus but I haven't fought most of the gym leaders in roughly a year now. I'm allowing multiple selections, please keep it to 2-3. -
