  1. I like more serious, not cute animes, dubbed is a must. Please make some recommendations. I've seen Psycho Pass for one, and others but I can't remember them all off the top of my head. Hit me.
  2. I've heard good things about this series, but admittedly I've been a bit prejudice based on the pictures of it I've seen. Sell me on it.
  3. Lets just put in Yugioh and LoL characters while we're at it! I know Persona is a highly regarded game series, but if Amethyst makes this one side track, where does it end, it will wind up just being a mess and conglomerated, we'll forget we're playing a pokemon game maybe even.
  4. Allow me to echo what Vinny'd already said in that joining the Showdown server is the quickest and most effective way to meet genuine friends here at Reborn.
  5. I just don't want everything winding up like Neuromancer.
  6. This is my sentiments as well. So long as they are for someone's well being and not their amusement, I'm ok with it.
  7. The Enigma TNG Has created over 33 hours of music of electronic sorts with various mixes including Hip-Hop and metal elements within many different songs.
  8. Week 10 is done, I tried as much as I can to balance the out of division schedules for each person, but it's obviously not going to be perfect. Please try to get your matches done ASAP.
  9. I'll be setting that up as we speak, if you have yet to have a bye week, you will not battle week 10, that way there will be less variance in the number of matches played for some people. (8 or 9) Also, MIKZAL and SHINYMEGANIUM need to complete their week 9 battle.
  10. The best things in life are free. Long story short, I'm not for cybernetic enhancements of the human body unless it's for the sake of health. Call it what you will, but I don't like it at all. I'd rather go to simpler times than continue down the path we're going.
  11. Alright, We'll let week 10 carry through schedule wise at the very least. Not gonna compound stats anymore though. We should have a clear enough picture with everything being all said and done at this point in that regard.
  12. Yeah that will be the case. It also happens to be that trying to fairly schedule things with so many people having dropped out has become nearly impossible. I've tried my best to keep things as fair as I can to this point, but it's starting to become less and less possible. I'm going to give to the end of this week. I'll try my best to figure out something for Week 10 within the next 24 hours though, should we decide to continue on.
  13. I understand that, I really do, but we as a committee are not confident in the possibility of enough players remaining if we complete the season to it's entirety, to the point where only a couple of individuals will actually not make the tournament ultimately making the regular season more or less meaningless since more or less everyone would have a chance. Also throw in the fact that everyone's schedule's are starting to get more and more busy. It's not so much about people with top spots losing their top spot at all.
  14. So after some discussion, the committee has decided it may be in the best interest of the competition to start wrapping things up. Originally started there were 34 battlers and as of this moment, we would appear to have 25 remaining assuming that everyone who hasn't directly me told me they're completely out stays, but even that is up in the air at this point. In order to avoid the regular season becoming nearly meaningless from having just barely enough competitors left to fill the playoff bracket, we would like to ask the competitors if they would be alright with closing the regular season at this time and advancing straight to the playoffs. Not everyone would have the same number of matches played and the committee would determine the results as of the standings at the end of week 9. This would also mean for those of you who are on the edge about staying in the competition due to time constraints can likely get it out of the way. I ask that all remaining competitors please PM me their vote. This is for the sake of anonymity and at the same time making sure that only people who are participating are actually voting. For this motion to carry forward 2/3 majority vote will be necessary. (17/25 minimum) Feel free to ask any questions here.
  15. This thread has gone beyond what it's original intent was and is honestly just going in circles, if you have some absolutely pressing need, feel free to PM the individual in question.
  16. "Religions aren't inherently good or bad, but each system of belief has good people and bad people within it."
  17. Use Special attacks. It's Special defense to a water or fire move will let it be taken out in 2-3 hits.
  18. Technicalities but.... the Mega Ring is implemented but Amethyst has chosen not to give it to the player at this time.
  19. The PBS files don't include the coding that has the features you're looking for. You'd need knowledge of scripting and to have RPGMaker to change any of that. The PBS files just determine Pokemon/trainer stats and info mostly.
  20. You should read a text so YOU can be informed and free from ignorance and bias, as well as go into an argument/debate with a greater understanding of the other side of the coin. Yes you CAN, and SHOULD use other sources, but to totally discount or simply Cherrypick from the backbone of the other side isn't kosher. If they aren't willing to read the other side of things that's on them. I'll value their opinion less if they've never explored the possibility of 'hey maybe I'm wrong.' even if for just a moment. At the very least, if you aren't going to read the bible, then don't use cherry picked quotations from it in your argument. If you're going off the argument that you believe all religions are wrong, stick to scientific premises, and don't debate the moral side of things. Defend your viewpoint far more than you go about attacking the opposing ones. Back up what you believe to be the most likely scenario of whatever is being discussed rather than nitpicking so much why the other side is wrong. It's foolish to actively seek out things you see as wrong with someone else's point of view when you're not fully aware of what their viewpoint is. There are some situations where such things are more clear cut and black and white, even within this thread as shown by the resurrection debate, but I'd ask you not to act as if you are greatly informed on matters when you're reasoning for not hearing the other side out is 'it's boring'.
  21. That's all fine and dandy, but that doesn't change the fact that you're simply basking in bias and ignorance because 'You find it boring.' I'm sure we're both aware by now that the contents of the Old Testament are rather silly in almost all cases. Here is a breakdown of which books are in the new and old testaments. Most Christians today will tell you the new testament should be taken more to heart than the old. So even if you find it boring, do your due diligence and read what they have to offer, THEN re-assess and all likelihood come to the same conclusion, but at least you'll be more free from ignorance and bias. You also shouldn't be going into reading the bible, or arguing with a theist simply in the back of your mind only intending to scrutinize their opinions. There's another side to the coin, one must also defend their viewpoints and give explanation as to why they see them as more plausible. Chances are you'll both walk away remaining unchanged in your stances, but I'm sure you'd want any theist you argue with to not be completely ignorant to the ways of science, even if they don't agree with certain premises, can you not give them that same courtesy?
  22. [devils' advocate] -God- certainly could answer them, he IS Omniscient. However, seeing as no one on earth IS god, we can not. God has reasons to not give us all of the answers, he wants us to find these things out for ourselves. He wants us to have free will. To give us all of the answers would be too easy, and take away much of the meaning to each of our individual lives. [/devils' advocate]
  23. A 'good' atheist, would read the book in it's entirety. If you consider yourself a skeptic, you must not act out of ignorance. It's your responsibility to hear what the other side is saying, even if your preconceived opinions don't agree with it. The manner in which you went about it is completely detrimental to getting a clear picture. You're selectively reading from a source that will verify all of your biases, picking up quotations to use as pot shots in your arguments. So long as you continue to hold on to said biases, or remain ignorant to any one side of the argument, you shouldn't be claiming to be..... informed or, 'enlightened' I suppose. Hilda says she's been on the other side of the fence in the past and claimed that she's come to the conclusion that God is the correct answer. While I don't necessarily agree with her on that, that's much more respectable and more informed than someone who would knowingly avoid certain portions of a sides debate or argument that go against their opinion. I myself fully intend to read it, eventually, someday. I'll likely start with the new testament though, since it's been claimed that the old testament it primarily 'poetic' and should hardly be taken literally.
  24. Mega Flygo~ oh......... right. Honestly? I really like Mega Altaria. Yes, even though it's a fairy.
