    So one thing i don't get in anime and video games is the eye patch girl. i would understand if they where a pirate or something but most of the time the eyepatch just seems pointless.

      I dunno about Katawa, but I don't really consider a single-eyed person to be much of a 'cripple'.

      As Ame types this, she realises the character she had in mind as a counterexample of a highly-able eye patch-wearing girl later ends up losing a whole arm. So maybe they are playing into that. fuck.

      Why get a fake eye that won't move and will always stay pointed in the same direction while you look around when you can have a cool eye patch that makes you look badass? But yeah, usually they're missing an eye cuz fierce battles --and running with scissors--
