  1. He did so under the pretense of helping me become a better person, then told me that women aren't hired for their accomplishments, but because of the law. And said something about women being content with not having a place in history until recently. Him showing me a coding site "for women" didn't help much either. As if we couldn't learn to code with the materials on hand. ...wait, what do the antics on the first page mean, anyway?
  2. That sounds really draining. Also, I have a... sort of misogynistic streak. Like, "Maybe they're right and women really are dumber." It's even more of a problem than it should be since 1) I'm the only female in all the groups I'm in, and 2) I have a learning disability that lends credence to it. I had been under the impression that Ame was also female. "Finally", I thought, "Someone whose pastime throws that doubt right out the window!" Then I see the first page of this thread. So my question is: "Now what?" My group has a staggering male-to-female ratio of 25:2. Guess how many people are in there. (Hint: I did no math whatsoever for this ratio.) I wish I had never met that misogynist asshole that convinced me that women are less than men.
  3. You are flying. Thanks to a catapult. Into a brick wall. I wish I had a GPU better than mine!
  4. When you feel sad and feeble, but you have no reason why. I'm drowning in a glass of water... and it's all because I was shanghai'd into watching Evangelion. I'm afraid of sadness! I don't want to have anything to do with sadness again. So why? Depression sucks, man.
  5. Perhaps I could test if I had Episode 6 with me. I could just make a backup save. If you know how to revert to Ep. 6, or can upload it, let me know.
  6. Should be relatively easy if you use the G/S sprites as a base then tweak them into GenIII style.
  7. Thanks for uploading this somewhere else, Ame. I found out that GameFront auto-deletes files if they haven't been downloaded in 60 days. I was going to point this out.
  8. Now I can show my friends the game. I'm a happy gal.
  9. Man, my first shiny was a Golbat in Gold. Like, caught in that form. It became the best Pink Crobat ever.
  10. When I saw the site was down for days, I was worried. I contacted Ame trying to see what happened to the site. I recalled the newspost saying she'd change the URL, but a part of me still remembered the catastrophe of IPBFree. Good thing I was right about there not being one to this site. I'm saying: Welcome back, guys.
  11. Does Florinia's badge grant you use up to level 35? Or is it erroneous text?
  12. Just popped in to say that this is the most grandiose entry I have ever seen. Though that isn't saying much.
  13. After getting access to a computer with working Flash, I tried to make a trainer card. And... This happened. http://pokemonreborn.com/tc/40469.png Worse, going to customize the sprite now delivers a raw HTML document.
  14. I'm having problems creating a sprite too, I'm afraid.
  15. I don't think there is an actual limit, but the style uses 24-bit. Just be careful not to anti-alias outside the sprite, unless you want a halo around your character. Has anyone done a stress test for the sprites to see how many colors you can cram in?
  16. Raze: Your sprite has a whole bunch of jaggies and thick lines. You should try to have the pixels on an even length. Someone was helpful enough to create a guide on the basics of pixelling, so you should give that a look. http://mossmouth.tumblr.com/post/42652506486/pixel-art-tutorial Hyzen: Those look great so far! Just cel-shade the arms and you'd be good to go! And you just replace the sprites' files. Nothing to it. Joyrich: Have you been using MSPaint to make these? RPG Maker doesn't handle non-transparent backgrounds well, and MSPaint is incapable of that. Try Paint.NET or GIMP to make the background transparent.
  17. She said this in regards to my edit of the male sprite, but she said it's cool. As for spritework, I scarcely find the motivation for spritework. You'd be on your own here.
  18. You'd think you would be able to get out of here with an Escape Rope, given the cage's shape.
  19. Yeeeeeeeeep. You only have 4 frames to work with in RPG maker games, though, so you won't have anything too well-animated. If you plan to do this, let me know your progress so I can have a few cheap laughs. That's pretty cool. I wouldn't have that kind of patience. xD
  20. Oh, okay. So who made the sprite shop? It'd be fair to credit the one who basically made the sprite parts, since, well, it's pretty much theirs... As for you not using it, that's fine. I guess it's not for everyone.
  21. Personal preference, to be honest. I don't like pillow shading, so I tweaked it. The dimensions of the back sprite's hair relative to the front bothered me too. It made the head look smaller in the back than in the front, even if that wasn't really intended. The good thing about RPG Maker engines is that the graphics are inherently easy to mod. In fact, I think this one in particular has the most moddable graphics I've seen so far in a non-Bethesda game. I can totally see why you'd disagree with me, though. Who designed the male character, and is he a self-insert? (Bit of a confession to make here...)
  22. I actually didn't use any colors other than what was already on the sprite. Also followed the NPC lighting scheme, which has highlights, the base and shadows. I COULD whip up a version that uses a darker highlight if enough people request it. (And by that, I mean more than three. :/) Also, have a gyazo of the bike:
  23. In my case, I just keep rotating when one of them nears the threshold. I still want an Absol and Gardevoir. ;
  24. I have never taken the game seriously, but seeing as this is poised to put my knowledge to the test... I'd go for a couple of unconventional selections based on what little I know of the plot. I'd either hook it up to a Magnezone and proceed to wreak electromagnetic havoc while knocking down all communication systems (and possibly Pokéball systems) in a 500-meter radius or more, or to a Ferrothorn to demolish an entire city. I'd go for the former, as it'd potentially silence any rebelling Trainers in the process.
