I like the difficulty too, it makes the game challenging and quite dynamic as you build your team around what you get and what you need. And i don't have Battle Style to Set yet, this can be more difficult in that regard. Do not underestimate a free switch out.... Reborn is not your average game where you train your Pokemon past the max level and sweep through a gym with super effective moves and outspeed everything. You have to set up some tactics with the Pokemon you have, or even catch one or two and train to have specific moves (toxic spikes for example). Personally, of all my early Pokemon my Pachirisu did the largest amount of work in the 2d and 3rd gym battle (lowers Attack of largest threats to oblivion, paralysis, then later confusion, electro ball/paralysis combo.....). And yeah i was lazy training my gyarados to lvl 23, and only information i had about the leaders came from the Gossip Gardevoir TV shows.

Hello and welcome! Did you consider hiding in trees too? And you don't need an emulator to play Reborn, just download it, unzip and play. =p If you have any troubles feel free to ask on the forum!

The new Spirit Visage is a bit broken on Vlad tbh, and i'm pretty sure you'll see Riven/Rengar players getting it vs AP-ish teams to abuse both passives and the cdr.

AI lets my Gardevoir sweep 3 Pokemon before sending sth faster with Crunch. I'm like meh it wasn't sent before i have no risk *Gardevoir fainted* .. I think too much

Fern. Pls use mega drain or sth. *no* FERN DAMN IT. * Foe's weak Pokemon does a critical hit and KO's my half hp Ralts * FERN PLS Glad it's better with episode 9 for newer players. x) But the AI on the opposite side gave me much more advantage tbh, especially when Hidden Power is involved.

I found like 4 shiny Geodudes. One of those blew up in my face when i tried to sleep powder it. I hate when they do that. (insert dbz abridged reference there) And also 3 Zubats. Only one had Infiltrator but had a bad nature, so i went for an Inner Focus one. I was also joking about having a shiny Tepig and i got it on first try lol The shiny rate is fine as it is imo. Also trainers having shinies doesn't bother me, except when cain started with a shiny Nidoran ♂ on my very first game (but the nature of my starter was BLEH so i didn't keep it).

Head to Corey's gym. Walk to the left, there are two areas, one is a cemetary. You can find Phanpy in the grass but it's pretty rare (like 5% encounter), has 50% chance to have Pick Up as ability.
-
Past Corey's Gym to the left, hunt in the grass, in the day/afternoon, you'll find Doduo (pretty common). =p

You must construct additionnal pylons hearts scales.

Ask Your Questions: Locations, Storyline And Other Stuff
Soysauce replied to The Fush's topic in Reborn City
Yeah, anything with Pick Up really. You can turn some into HM carriers too like Linoone for example. Edit : ninja'd. But i disagree, ev training is even more tedious xD -
I just realized how strong my new Infernape was even without his main EV trained to 252.... Pretty sure that he would have been able to sweep the latest gym battle with STAB Fist Plate Close Combat.... Sure these indications would be fairly useful, but something that gives straight up 31 IV everywhere, no, it makes your Pokemon way too strong. However, i wouldn't be surprised if future gym leaders had their Pokemon EV trained a bit with average IV to increase the difficulty. =p I remember that in Emerald Battle Frontier the trainers had EV trained Pokemon (either 0/128/128/128/128 or 252/252 ) with 0 IV i think, and my non trained Swampert was ridiculously weak compared to a standard offensive Swampert. But when we'll get to that point we'll have the Power Weight items!

There is a Vulpix in one of Obsidia Salon. Her owner will give it to you if you have a happy pokemon, and she can have Drought (not all the time though).

Press F1. Or manually lower it in your computer to the amount you want. =p

There is a building in which there are plenty of stairs, it's not that far from the entrance of the wastelands compared to the hideout. In front of it there are a smashable rock, and a headbuttable tree. It's rare encounter so good luck.

About breeding DW abilities and TM moves in Reborn
Soysauce replied to Soysauce's question in On the Hunt
Ohh then that's nice =o Makes it way less difficult to pass on DW abilities in some cases! -
Now that we updated to episode 9, we can buy common candies in Obsidia Ward. Those candies reduce the level of your Pokemon so i guess it can help you. And yeah you won't have your dream team just yet so you have to work a bit with replacements, you'll see later in the game that very few Pokemon can sweep a gym completely.

On a rainy day or thunderstorm go to the underground railnet from Peridot Ward.

Hello! I wasn't sure how and where tu put it... but this place seems to be the most convenient. Alright, so in regular games, i've read that you can only pass a Dream World ability to an offspring if you follow two rules: 1) The female Pokemon must have the DW ability; 2) The breeding must not involve a Ditto. And with those two conditions, you have a 60% chance of passing down the DW ability. This doesn't seem to be the case in Reborn. I just managed to breed my Iron Fist (DW) Infernape ♂ with a Ditto and got an Iron Fist Chimchar on the first try (with a surprisingly good nature and characteristic, i'm going to try that little boy ). Please don't mind the dates i went backward 2 days after i received the egg to not be on a thunderstorm lol. So i don't know how exactly breeding works in Reborn, but if something shouldn't work in the regular series you should nevertheless give it a try in Reborn, maybe you'll get what you want! Now did anyone have unexpected results with TM moves and egg moves? That would be quite interesting! Edit: leveled him up a bit, his IV are : HP Atk Def SpAtk SpDef Spe 18-20 26 22-25 12-14 9-12 22-25 which is awesome :3

It seems like there is a problem with Pokemon having 3 possible abilities; the issue is that you can't get the DW. >< Some people managed to overcome this problem by evolving their Pokemon (Eevees), i don't know how it works but the evolution has two abilities (one normal one DW) instead of 3 and are different from the pre-evolution... We'll have to ask around. That's why i'm pretty sure we can't get a drizzle politoed yet as the three abilities remain the same.

The obelisk idea is awesome, maybe make it diffuse a seething aura that holds off aggressive wild pokemons. Then in that area you can use an item (or nothing) to rest your party as in rpg lol. If you want to add difficulty and complexity, then Healing Wells that replenish after X steps or whenever you exit/enter the dungeon (difficult to code though maybe) could do that. Then maybe for example you have to choose to heal only one Pokemon. Or you have to choose between healing one Pokemon at full HP&PP or healing two pokemons to full HP. Inb4 specialized dungeons like the Battle frontier Pyramid with PP depleters Pokemons bwahahaha
