    Long time no talk everyone. A lot has happened since I was last here. I’m about to be a father to a daughter and my wife and I are so excited. I hope everyone is doing awesome.

    Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well. 
    I wish I didn't have to say these words so soon but my mom passed away at 8:30 pm on September 10th at Hamilton General Hospital after a 2 week struggle with a blood clot that burst in her brain. It all started on August 26th and ended September 10th when we had to remove the breathing tube. My regret is I didn't cherish my mom, treat her better and realize her importance in my life. All of you who still have your parents, I hope you are kind and treat your parents well because you never know when one or both could be taken from you. My mom's brain issues and strokes came suddenly and my dad and I didn't know what hit us. I hope this can be a lesson for others because I wish my mom would be back with my dad and I. I hope you have a great day or night and feel free to reach out if you want to chat or catch up. Take care.

      ...That's harsh to happen to anyone.  My best friend's  mom passed away a year ago and i had witnessed first hand his anguish.  Mourning is inevitable and understandable, but do not let it bring you down, and tackle this bitch we call life even harder, for her sake too...

      My condolences. My mom has suboptimal health and sometimes says things like "when I'm not around any longer" which really hits me in the kokoro. My mom is my best friend and I cherish her but even then parting with her would be hard for me too. Reach out for help if you need it- bottling things up has never been the solution to anything!

      Late, but my condolences as well. I know words can only do so much but keep treading forward as these kind of things do tend to get worse before they get better. Just hang in there.

    Hello everyone here. I am wondering what the interest level would be for a Pokemon RP I'm looking to DM here. I have the world for the RP mostly designed from a while ago when I tried doing this RP before but inactivity happened so it couldn't continue. I am looking to gauge interest and the more, the merrier but there has to be a limit to the amount of participants so I would say 12 trainers max. Let me know if you would be interested and I will post the background synopsis when I can. I look forward to this and have a great night/day.

    Hello Reborn. I hope you are doing well since we last met. I am redoing my introduction because I have been away for quite a long time (a yearish maybe) and a lot has happened to change me since then. I hit a real low with my bad habits, attitudes and tendencies back in February of this year and so I called a phone therapy service my work is connected to. I talked on the phone with a counselor for an hour and 20 minutes about all kinds of issues after I destroyed my Discord server with a controlling tyranny over a fun and successful RP I had going and it caused half of the active members to leave the server leading to a slow demise which I'm hoping to reverse soon. Anyways the point is that afterwards I started going to an in-person therapist to discuss my issues, get some well needed tips on addressing my bad behaviours such as controlling and not giving others the freedom to choose when I always had that. In addition, I have been learning to humanize people on the internet because I wasn't doing that most of the time and literally thought you all were just avatars with words and text behind them. I have learned a lot and I'm still learning through my therapy. It has done wonders on me despite what my dad told me. I want to make one thing clear to everyone who knew me before: **If you plan to haze me for my past transgressions or troubles while I was here before, then so be it but I hope you can put the past in the past and give me a fresh start per say. I promise and guarantee I have changed how I view people, things and how to address my bad habits and now it's a matter of putting what I have learned into practice.** I hope to get to know all the new people as well that have joined since I left and I'll see you guys around.     it's been a long time since I was here and it's been a little over 5 years since I signed up. Wow that's interesting to think about.

    How much I've as well as I'm sure a lot of you have changed over the years.

    WOW Zumi. This is an amazing drawing of Guzma and his ace. I love the pose of the ace and now I finally understand where your guzma profile pic before came from lol so I'm glad about figuring that out. ;p Very impressive and keep up the amazing art. Have a great day/night.

    Seeing as we have an update to make, I should make a post right? Anyways, I am proud and happy to announce that we have a new scripter/coder in Night Fighter who has joined us and we have a new composer, who joined us after we advertised on twitter about needing a composer, because the last one isn't available anymore. We thank you Night Fighter of Reborn for joining Team Darkness and we are proud to announce the game development is off hiatus now because we have already started planning in-game ideas. Hope everyone is excited for the return of Pokemon Darkness and have a great day/night.

    Hello aGood. The game I am working on with a team is not using fakemons but maybe post some images of a couple to showcase your skill level when it comes to the art or sprites. I saw your Adrienn picture and it's very well done and so I would like to ask if you would be willing to help a fangame out by making official art or fanart for the project. If so, I am very willing to get ideas and feedback on the story I am doing and if a character of yours could fit, I'm all for including them. Please let me know and if you decide not to be a part of the project, that's cool and I hope someone else sees value in your help.     THIS IS A TERRIBLE DAY! First, I wake up to a message which came in the morning saying urgent so I look at the message on my phone and it tells me I've been laid off my contract position and then the whole day, I've been questioning why and how this could have happened when I worked as hard as I could and had loyalty to my employer and they thought I wasn't committed enough. ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME? I was one of the most committed to the job people on the team ugh... Anyways, the terrible day continues because just an hour ago at a kids christmas party I was helping with because I am part of the board of the community centre running it, I dropped my phone and it shattered the touch screen and screen so NOW I have to look for a way to either get it fixed or buy a new phone and I JUST WANT THIS DAY TO BE OVER before anymore bad things happen. I also need some supportive words from people because I was sad due to being let go for no reason today. I hope other people's days have been better because THIS IS A TERRIBLE DAY for me! :(

      sucky day indeed, sometimes companies just have to lay people off because of budgets no matter how well of a job you do.

      Ame just got laid off recently so it's not just you who has had this happen. Anyways take care and hope for a better tomorrow. Once you hit rock bottom, the only direction you can go is up.

      Yeah Red Chaos. My work friend who saw the email said that's exactly what a budget cut email is so dont take it personally but it's my first big job of my life so I can't help but take it personally because they could have just not extended my contract to February then. :( 

       

      OH no Commander. I didn't know and I send my sympathies to her then. You are correct and yes I do hope for a better tomorrow and that this has happened for a reason to be seen hopefully but it still frustrated me because I don't want to hit rock bottom to be able to finally go back up. Oh well I suppose time will tell what happens.

    status idea came to me! Who in this community is like me in that they are extremely empathetic, sympathetic but also indecisive and how do you deal with being that way? I find it sometimes causes me to charge into things or actions without thinking because if I do, I will become indecisive and so it sometimes gets me into trouble.

      I tend to try to hold back my empathetic tendencies by sitting back and examining the situation logically. I'm very emotionally driven, but I try to hold back that part of myself simply because it has only gotten me into trouble in the past. Logical examinations also help with indecision, as once you know the logically sound solution, you can act swiftly for the end.

    So this new site has been up for a couple days by now. I am curious what people think plus I don't have any good status ideas so yeah. I would say 8.5-9/10 only because of the fact to reply on someone's status, you have to click then go to their page which before the update, you just replied on this page which was much more convenient. :) What do you guys think?

      I agree with that. I do like that. Now it actually notifies me when I set it to unlike before I'm pretty sure I had it notify about things but it never did to be honest lol.

    The dumb status bar bug is still happening. When will the fix be implemented @Tempest if you know?

      Dunno. Ame's gotta do it at some point, but there are much higher priority bugs.

      Oh I thought you had to implement it but if there are higher priority bugs then yeah definitely tackle those first. 

       

      Whoever is afflicted with this bug can just do create - status from the top of the page till the bug fix is implemented. :D

    Hello everyone. I am posting to mention that Pokemon Darkness has been kind of on a hiatus for the last 3 months which is due to the team including me not being available due to school, work and being more busy since summer was over. We just wanted to let you guys know this and we are hoping we can have something going soon if I ever stop procrastinating and focus on this once again which I honestly am hoping to soon. Until we have another update for you, we are on hiatus but we are still searching for a composer and a scripter (check above post or first post of the thread for details) because if I had those, it would help get me motivated to work on this again and thus get my team going again. Thanks for reading this, supporting this project and have a great day.

    No problem. Trust me when I say I have had moments of unclearness/doubt during making the game and despite it's 3 month hiatus so far due to the team being busy, it's worth it to push through and try to continue forward. I'm also not letting the game die because it's been a year so far of development. I mean you can edit a rom if you really want to. That gives you some experience with spriting, scripting, mapping, other game aspects that you could then use to perfect your own pokemon fangame. I don't know how you would edit a rom though so sorry about that. I'm doing my own game from scratch using RMXP and Essentials over time with my small team.
