Hmm... I believe you can post something, as it will take a while for my characters to come around if they aren't running. I think I can make my characters somehow find you, wherever you are~ Oh no, not stalker-ish at all.

Thanks King! I like your post as well. It was because of Sarcus' curiosity that got me started on how to introduce Miki. I'm just bad with beginnings! >< I'm wondering if, once Miki gets to Eterna, Sarcus and Miki can meet up to discuss whether they should join up or not? Or more like Miki trying to persuade Sarcus that joining is a good thing?

I think I wrote too much for an introduction to Miki and Raito... Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. Since it's my first time in an RP, I don't know the rules inside out, so feel free to tell me if I did something wrong.

While Sarcus and his Absol are investigating the southwestern conclave, a yellow and white spiky Pokemon followed behind to observe the view. He stopped at the edge of the door, looked around for any followers of Dawn, and proceeds to peer into the building. His right ear twitches in excitement upon seeing the destruction: The sand, the blood, the fallen acolytes and Pokemon... THIS must be what his trainer was talking about! It just HAS to be the Dusk members! As quickly as his feet could carry him, the Jolteon runs back to their hidden cave on Route 206 to carry this great piece of news. Who cares if he couldn't find any food for the day, this was their time to strike down the Church! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A young girl with black hair and dark-brown eyes listens patiently as her over-excited Jolteon tries to tell her about the raid in Eterna City, however, Miki Shizayuma couldn't make heads or tails of his account. "Is he trying to say that he some food stash in an abandoned building or, even better, potions?," she thought. As the Jolteon continued to his story, electric sparks begin to fly from his fur. "No... he wouldn't be this ecstatic over pieces of food. Something is up." The young trainer raises a hand to stop her Jolteon from continuing. The male Jolteon fidgeted impatiently as the 18 year-old took off her glasses, puts down her book, and sits in a more comfortable position. "Raito, is something happening in Eterna?", Miki asks her companion. Upon hearing his name, Raito the Jolteon once again proceeds to tell his trainer about the raid. And, once again, he is unsuccessful. The young girl raises an eyebrow. Despite all of her years living together with Raito, she still has yet to understand her Jolteon completely. Yes, Miki can tell he is excited; yes, it must be something better than food and water; yes, it has to be something important in Eterna, but what can it be? It frustrates her that even with the education she once had, she still has not been able to comprehend her Pokemon fully. What piece of information is she missing? After finishing his story, Raito looks at her expectedly, his black eyes brimming with anticipation. Miki sighs and shakes her head, unable to comprehend his words. Raito's ears drooped a bit like that of a sad Growlithe's. He looks around their cave, their home for the last three years, looking for something that will jog her memory. Raito then notices her gray, trainer bag and yelps in excitement. "Jolt, jolt!", Raito jumps around her trainer bag and points to a small pocket with his nose. He looks at her direction. His trainer looks surprised at first, then scrambles to her feet to open the pocket. The spiky Pokemon knows that she figured it out. His knew his trainer is not dumb, just a little out of it since she was absorbed in a book. Miki walks to her small bed in the back of the cave with a letter in tow, re-reading its contents as if to make sure that this was not a dream. Her little bed consists of a simple mattress with a beaten up blanket and pillow that is perfect for her and her Pokemon to sleep together. Raito follows her and jumps up onto this bed, awaiting a decision. The letter is simple and Miki already read it a thousand times, but she still could not believe it. She now remembered that day, two weeks ago, when Raito appeared with the letter in his mouth. It was sealed with the Moon insignia to signify its organization - Dusk. Underneath the fancy type it stated, "To the trainer of this Jolteon." She had opened it very carefully, as if she was afraid that there was a bomb or something, only to find one paragraph. It specified their mission - "To take down the Church..." - the location and time - "Eterna City, two weeks from today" - and how the organization would be "honored to have another comrade." Miki had forgotten all about it, believing Dusk to be another wannabe team trying to take on Goddess Dawn's massive regime. But now, with Raito's eyewitness account, and at this time too... "It's all too accurate for it to be a hoax." Miki folds the letter and places it beside her. She looks around at her cave; it was cozy, although somewhat small compared to her house back at Sunyshore. Then again, as her dad once told her, this hideout was supposed to be a temporary home. On the left side of the cave is a larger bed that is made up with clean sheets, although they are now yellowed from the passage of time. "Mom... Dad..." On her right is an almost empty bookcase. It is there that Miki found solace while she was waiting for her parents to show up three years ago. There were only a few books: Myths and legends, Pokemon theories, Survival in the wilderness; the rest of the bookcase was filled with food enough for 6 mouths for a month or so. Next to this bookcase is a hidden, little safe in the wall filled with potions, pokeballs, berries (and even a Pokenav!), anything that a trainer will need. Here they sit, waiting for the day the proper badge system will return. The stories her mom once told of the great Red from Kanto and Gold from Jhoto... Miki wanted to be like them. But it was all shattered no thanks to Dawn. Dawn, who destroyed the balanced system of trainerhood. Dawn, who destroyed those precious Pokemon in her pursuit of power. Dawn, who destroyed those who oppose her. Dawn, who took her life, her parents, her dream... And destroyed them. A few tears of sadness slipped down her cheeks as she recalled those memories. Raito whined and nuzzled her, offering his warmth. Miki gladly accepted, hugging him while her arms avoid his white, spiky collar. Raito allowed a few minutes of sobbing before nuzzling her again. Without any response from his trainer, he let out a small cry of worry. Realizing her position, she unwraps her herself from her Jolteon while wiping away her tears. She scratched behind his left ear, the only ear that Raito has a notch in, unlike most of his kind. The Jolteon sighs contently from the scratch and from seeing his trainer more composed. Raito was right, this is the time to come out of hiding. This is the sign she and Raito were waiting for in those three, painful, lonely years. It is time for both of them to leave this safe place and join in the rebellion and fight. "Raito, get my bag please," she told her Jolteon as she got up and walks towards the hidden safe. "You are right, it's time to fight." EDIT: First time doing an RP, so I would really appreciate any constructive criticism!

Yay! But like KingMurdoc said, I'll need some time to put Miki's perspective into words. Well, that and I just woke up. ^^

Just a thought but I was thinking about the new members being witnesses to the current mission that is going on right now. It not only helps out with why they decided to join, but also introduces their history and thought processes. And once all of the conclave mothers are defeated, it might provide a smoother transition for the new members to join in the mission. Of course, we will not have a part of the action until then. What do you think?

Role Player Time Zone Thread

I live in NY, so I think that makes me UTC -5 (EST time) -
I doubt there are restrictions, just make your character believable (as in you can see that person in real life). After all, we don't really need a Mary Sue to ruin the fun.

You can post in the RP character thread. That way you, and other RPers, will have something to refer to when there is character interaction.

I think we have to wait until the first mission is done. I am also waiting so that my character, Miki, and her male Jolteon, Raito, can join in the fight.

Focus Sash is not in Reborn yet, if memory serves me well. And that can work if Torchic is his starter. If not though, try lowering Ditto-Arceus' accuracy so that it misses it's moves.
-
Yep~ I only found one (the one I caught) while I was training up my Gardevoir and my Eeveelutions.
-
I had my Jolteon use Thunder Wave to get rid of a Full Heal. When he died, I got a Confuse Ray from Crobat to get rid of his last Full Heal. Then it's just Toxic from my dear Umbreon that finished it off and survived a Focus Blast. Ame did give us a Wynaut as another way to battle Arceus as well...

Is that part of episode 10 ? or did I just missed it ?
DarkLight replied to PokeBoss's topic in Reborn City
I can confirm that this is required for getting Ditto because I had to do this to find that little pink blob even though I saw the same dialogue when I got Happiny. You didn't miss anything. -
That is no problem! I am currently reading what everyone is writing so far in the Prologue and Mission 1 when class gets boring. Thanks and please keep it up!

Hello, I just read the introduction to this RP and I really, really want to join. Is there a chance for new characters to jump in when the next mission is up or something? Or maybe I can sign up as a reinforcement?

Roleplay Character thread!~
DarkLight replied to diana's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Name: Miki Shizayuma Appearance/Characteristics: Around 5 feet, 5 inches; medium length black hair (up to her shoulders); dark brown eyes; she is typically seen wearing jeggings (tight jeans) and sneakers with a plain white t-shirt draped with a long, black cardigan. She will switch to a blue hoodie and long, black boots when the weather gets cold. She usually has contacts on, but will switch to glasses if she doesn't feel like wearing them. As a loose reference/inspiration: http://fawn-leaves.deviantart.com/art/Anime-girl-with-black-hair-brown-eyes-and-jacket-369911577 Birthday: March 3, 1995; usually 18 years old Things to Know: Miki is very studious and is often seen as a nerd. She prefers the company of books and her Pokemon rather than humans. As a result, she is intelligent, but also socially awkward and somewhat naive. She is also brutally honest and does not know that she has insulted someone with her words. However, Miki is very loyal to the friends she gets along with. Roleplay Universe: In Pokemon universes. I have never role played before, but after seeing some of the interesting RPGs here, I really wanted to try it out. EDIT: Just updating her outfit, nothing serious. -
I agree with Calvius here. As of your team so far, you don't really have much to hit Psychic types outside of Bite on Crobat and Gyarados. On the bright side, I think you have the rest of the types covered. Suggestions for dark types: For bulk --> Umbreon. I notice that your team is mostly offensive, which can run into trouble with walls and stuff. This is where status effects can come in to help. With Umbreon, you can stall out a few battles with Toxic, Protect, and Moonlight if you don't want heavy breeding chains. (Toxic and Protect breeding is fairly easy). For less bulk and more offensive power --> Scrafty. Great attack and defense; it has helped me out a lot during my run. There is also Spiritomb. I have not used one, but considering what I have been reading in other forums around here, it's not a bad pokemon. For one thing, being Ghost/Dark makes it have no weaknesses. It can set up a few calm minds, pain split once it's set up, and proceed to sweep.

If you don't want to spend money buying Common Candies, you can go back to the Obsidia Slums and find yourself a Scraggy in that previously locked room. Train it up so it learns Brick Break and Cradily will be pretty useless against it since Rock moves don't really affect Scraggy. You can also try confusion hax with Scraggy's Swagger, etc. Togepi, as others have stated, can be helpful with Charm so far. Once it evolves into Togetic, you can get a good healer with Wish and bulk, and a good special attacker as Togekiss. So if you are need a special attacker, or just a Flying type, later on, you should train up Togepi.

The guy in the house is really close to the hiker... I think he is like 2 houses to the right of the entrance nearest to the hiker? The guy is in the house all by himself, so you will know it when you see him.

3rd generation for me! I really liked the music from those games. It is the only region pokedex that I have ever completed (on my Sapphire version).

On the hunt again... Possible Rain team candidates
DarkLight replied to 1nV1ktus's question in On the Hunt
For Jolteon, you might be better off with trying to get Wish on it instead of Quick Attack. Jolteon's attack is very low as is and with Quick Attack only have 40 base power, Jolteon will not do anything with it.
