We've discussed this at length amongst the dev team. There have been several games that have pulled off a talking protagonist successfully (see Legends of the Arena), and it allows us to tell a better narrative. On top of that, while not all are RPGs, a lot games you play now-a-days have a talking protagonist with a defined backstory. As for dialogue trees, while it would be nice, is far too much work to implement: from the code necessary to make it work, to the branching story paths it would create, it ends up being too much to handle from a dev standpoint. We do have some ways of making the region dynamic however... I'll hopefully be highlighting those soon. -

This whole shit has made me so jaded. It's too much work to care anymore; I'm done trying to argue. I'm done trying to console. All that seems to happen is screaming and yelling, and it's too much god damn work to care.

There's no need to go at each other's throats. Intelligent discourse is necessary to understand where everyone is coming from and to understand what we as a society need to improve on. Fighting and yelling won't get us anywhere.

I should just mention: he never once condoned electroshock therapy, and he never outright said he condoned conversion therapy. Last time he really said anything about it was over 15 years ago.

So when are people gonna stop talking about it? A day? A week? Cause in the end, it's all going to be fine, and people are making too big of a deal of this. Look at what he's doing, he's already being more humble and not the ranting and raving lunatic. I don't like him being president either (though I like it more than Hillary) but you might as well just accept it, and move on.
