  1. Did that not make it into 12.1? Either way it'll be in e13 regardless as I did fix it.
  2. Already fixed, mate. Good luck. Surely it can't be that hard to code. I bet I could manage something. Lemme take a look ...
  3. So I just finished another new playthrough of Reborn's e12 yesterday and I'd managed to make it through to the end without doing any real grinding. Like what Timber was saying you shouldn't really need any real grinding to complete a playthrough as there are plenty of available trainers to gain experience from. If you plan for each gym accordingly you should be able to get away with it too, though there is a point between Serra's and Noel's gyms where I felt that there wasn't a lot of available trainer exp and doing a little bit of grinding would be beneficial. Other than that, you should be okay without it.
  4. If he says it'll be HP Fire, then it'll be HP Fire in-game for e11 .. but I've since fixed it in e12, so it'll change to whatever the "true" HP type is.
  5. Yeah .. Hidden Power is sorta 'broken' in e11 in that when Fairy types were added, one of the internal metrics isn't working as intended. This guy'll correctly tell you what the Hidden Power type is ingame (he has a dialogue newline problem though) but if you were to use an online calc to figure out what it should really be, it would be different.
  6. ... Lol, you made 3 copies of your save? I wonder what could have caused such cautious saving...
  7. You could setup any other field, but I think you're referring to a move that clears it back to a fieldless state.
  8. Not sure I agree with this either (Mudkip is great, Oshawott does well in BW2 and holds its own in BW1, and Reborn allowing for Protean Froakie lets it run circles around the AI. Additionally Bulbasaur and Turtwig are great, and Chespin is decent as well).
  9. err.. you guys know you could use a Linkstone on the Karrablast or Shelmet lines in order to get a shiny of their evolutions, right?
  10. I have some problems with this tier listing thread already (such as no mention of Dragon Rage making Charmeleon wipe the floor with the first two gyms -no contest- in roughly 7 turns, can almost guarantee Ralts not being 0-badge-available, etc), but I wanted to make a quick point that the implementation written for the pledge moves allows for single battles and double battles to use them in a similar fashion and doesn't imply increased amount of double battles per se. I'm also not sure why anyone would think this ... or why there's a need for a second tier list at all, but I digress.
  11. If you're going to fix someone's spelling and grammar, you may as well go all in and fix their sentence structure while you're at it.
  12. Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys, I really appreciate it. <3
  13. Charizard is currently in C tier, and I agree with other posters that he should stay with for similar reasons. Generally speaking, the Charmander line is amazing in the early stages of the game and then begins to fall off in the later stages due much in part to a lackluster movepool. It would likely take a significant amount of breeding to get a quality moveset on him and coupled with poor defensive typing, he becomes outclassed by other Fire-types later in the game.
  14. If this were a traditional RPG, I would just say that these are the locations of post-game legendaries and call it a day. This game isn't quite so typical, but I think this theory still holds some merit. First, we'd need to have all 4 keys to open any of these doors and at the end of the latest episode we have but one in our possession. At the rate we're going it'd take a significant amount of plot movement before we got our second key back and then we've only got 2 of 4. Second, the only door that is unlike the others is the one under the Grand Staircase which seems to hold some plot importance. I was under the impression before that it would lead to Arceus/the Meteor/whatever source of power or ancient city or whatever Reborn City was built on top of, but we've discovered that the place where Arceus/the Meteor is and it is not behind the Grand Staircase's door as far as I can tell (unless it's some sort of side entrance, but that seems unlikely). It just seems like an easy way to distribute legendary Pokemon in the postgame to me, nothing more and nothing less.
  15. Actually in gen 6 you can't pass on TM moves via breeding, so many of these moves wouldn't work. I think Ame will likely leave this out of the gen 6 updates though.
  16. Anytime. Well, allow me to think out loud for a second here. A Pokemon's "movepool" can be broken down into 4 main parts: First we have the Pokemon and it's evolutionary line's natural learnset. This consists of all the moves it learns naturally by leveling up. Second we have TM/HM moves that are learned from machines and must be acquired by the player prior to use. Third are the egg moves that result from breeding Pokemon in the same egg group enabling mixing of natural learnset(s). Last are moves that are taught by move tutor NPCs ingame (excluding the move relearner). In Reborn, we have rather limited access to TMs (I have 22 currently, though I may have missed a few) and HMs (just Cut and Strength for the time being) and the move tutors are limited as well (there are a pair on 7th street). With this in mind, Pokemon with strong natural learnsets are very desirable. As for the breeding moves .. Breeding is certainly not a requirement of the game but it will severely limit your options if ignored, especially in the cases of event-exclusive Pokemon with poor IVs, or if you want more than one eeveelution, etc. I strongly recommend it is written about especially because most players can finish an episode's content with much time to spare before the next is released and breeding can be something to eat up time while also improving the overall strength of your team. The egg moves that some Pokemon get access to make it a nice bonus as well, with combinations like Wish Eevees or Dragon Dance Scraftys. It can even completely change the playstyle or role of certain Pokemon, such as Scolipede -- with breeding it can get Spikes and Toxic Spikes, enabling it to run a support set that places hazards and then Baton Passes out a huge speed boost. While stats will likely be straightforward to make a metric for as it's all numeric, a Pokemon's movepool is tricky to judge and there's a few ways it could be done. You could try seeing how many viable moves it has or how many sets it can run or try to find a way to measure the "usefulness" of it's natural learnset's progression combined with how many different viable TM/HM moves it can use plus any useful egg or tutor moves. Might even want to take into consideration other elements of gameplay, such as whether it needs support or can stand on it's own as a threat. I realize I haven't solved this problem but hopefully there's enough decent ideas here to start working on a more well-defined system of metrics. Sure thing. I can look over the set in more detail if you'd like, but I skimmed it and picked out a few that seemed quicker fixes.
  17. Due to needing to memorize it in high school, that number is 65536, the 16th power of two. I believe the main games use 8/65536 which simplifies to 1/8192. A quick search shows that gen VI games have doubled that base probability to 16/65536 (simplifies to 1/4096). The percentages are 0.0122% and 0.0244% respectively. (Therefore Ame's shiny rate of 1.0681% is ~87x the rate from gen V and earlier, and ~44x the rate from gen VI games.) Note that I'm not counting anything that adds to the shiny rate here, such as the Masuda method or the shiny charm.
  18. Making the availability less vague is a plus, and I think next you should work on clarifying/setting metrics for all of the other qualities. It's difficult to have a measurable difference between a movepool that's "very good" vs "great" vs "amazing". You may need to discuss how to qualify the metrics here, though I suppose I could come up with something. Either way, I say continue moving forward with this increase in clarity as it will vastly improve your tier listing's usefulness. Some of these analyses could use some more detail as well -- for instance, the Slurpuff review doesn't even note the Belly Drum + Unburden combo, which is currently exclusively Slurpuff's claim to fame! Additionally, we've seen 2 episodes since 9, but poor Forretress is still listed with hazards not working. Also, Porygon's line mentions "the upcoming gym" without explicitly stating which one it's referring to - I doubt everyone rushed to get it as soon as they could and due to the inclusion of the data chip this point may not be relevant depending on which gym leader it's talking about. This may be more of a personal point, but things like the "comes way too late in the game, and very under leveled to be of any use" comment on every eeveelution are somewhat unwarranted, especially when you take breeding into consideration. In fact some of the higher tier Pokemon's strengths unlock or become even stronger via egg moves like Thunderpunch on Iron Fist Infernape, Belly Drum on the aforementioned Slurpuff or Giga Drain for Venusaur. After skimming through it, here's some misspelled names: Combuskin -> Combusken Ghastly -> Gastly Primape -> Primeape Escavelier -> Escavalier Ninetails -> Ninetales Spiritzee -> Spritzee Garbador -> Garbodor Keep up the good work Khey, your list continues to improve. edit: This one's nitpicky, but..
  19. This is a quality change, and I support it. I don't recall much of these offhand but I know you need to be about to fight Shade to access the Power Plant. Edit: Headbuttable trees are available almost immediately via Bidoof learning Headbutt naturally. Edit2: The Good Rod is in Spinel Town if I remember right. Edit3: I remember getting Rose Incense from a girl in Peridot Ward, but there is an event to get Budew, so you may not need it. Edit4: You acquire Rock Smash from a man under the Grand Staircase, but I think you need Shelly's badge to use it outside of battle. ... I guess I lied about not remembering these...
  20. This question has already been answered.
  21. Oops, forgot to check for eggs so you couldn't do that. I must've done it completely by accident when I wrote that code.
