[Interest Check]Fate/Reborn
Raindrop Valkyrie replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
I can tell you now I am not going to be contributing anything from Graterras, or really any of my characters that much. I prefer things of mine stay where they are meant to be, and I am not fond of other people using my characters even in a non-canon sense. ((since it would probably have no bearing on Graterras to any degree etc...)) I just personally don't like my characters being run by other people too much. I know them very well so I would be nit-picky as all hell, and frankly I don't feel comfortable giving up the reins on them. ((Not to mention most Graterras characters are like nigh impossible to make Noble Spirits out of.)) -
"I said nothing of killing it." She said, coating in a heavy layer of ice. She was a Hunter after all. She knew best that the beast would be the best lead to what they were looking for. It could in fact, guide them there itself. If something was in control of this thing Vixen hoped the wouldn't be dumb enough to let the beast come directly to them. Then she dreaded it as well. Cause they wither had to be one of two things in that scenario. Incredibly stupid, or so powerful that felt no need to cover their tracks and cared less if people found out. And with how powerful this beast was, it was more likely the latter than some stupid person getting lucky and wresting control of it. "You should know out of everyone here, following a target... is usually much more useful then outright killing that target. Knowing its location and the places it go are just as important as having it gone, especially when we don't know what we are dealing with. I've killed beasts for years... I know what I am doing."

I mean I never got to proc some of the awesome stuff my Berserker had. ((That and thinking of new servants... is bloody hard.)) So, I'd be all for it... though I'd prefer to have it nad just tie him to Nadia again. I actually liked the duo... it was... interesting. I do like the Fate Series stuff, so I'd be all for trying it again etc... ((I mean Clash of Fates for Graterras... is sorta inspired by Fate in some ways. Loosely but in some ways lol.)) SO I am all for giving it another bash etc... -

I was in two of these that failed kinda hard already lol. So call me skeptical XD. I WOuld love to bring back Nadia though... she was built for Fate Stuff so translating her to other stuff is kinda bloody hard XD. ((also... at least tag this Interest Check or somethin'... it is bugging me lol.)) -
I think she is just enjoying that nice Sandwich. Honestly... it is going to be weird for me to be honest lol, Considering Emberly is so much older than the rest of the characters etc... XD. I probably realized this before... but I am realizing it again. Man it is weird when a character of mine that isn't meant to be level headed... is probably going to be the one of the most level headed ones in the group lol.

Hmmm, Grats there Kyo. It'll be good to ahve you aboard. Look forward to working with ya... though I am the most usless Mod who does like nothing so... yea that and stuffs XD. And welcome back Vinny XD.

"The Beast is mine... I track them for a living I will find it." Vixen said without any hesitation. She was seriously angry it got away once. It wasn't getting away again... not as long as she drew breath. It would draw its last or she would. Either end would suffice. Though... she hoped she could end its rampage and no other innocents would be harmed by the foul creature.

Aye Helen is good Acquie... I jsut forgot to update her to the OP... mostly cause I am trying to figure if I can afford to have the original story in there and her backstory... cause it really adds up in the amount of space i have for that post... cause I will be posted a metric ton of stuff there and I don't want it to over flow ya know lol?

I suppose. I prefer players stick to one character, especially in a PvP scenario. ((just because... yea I don't want any shenanigans.)), I wouldn't mind them as extra source material for NPCs, though cause Imma need quite a few lol. ((though I do have at least...4 planned already XD.)) ((and Notus... it is still mad powerful lol. But, as in typical Graterras Fashion... stray magic tends to be preeeeetty dangerous and unpredictable lol.))

It would honestly have the same net effect. Due to how fast a Improperly affixed soul collapses a body. It would quickly deteriorate as any damage then sustained... would never heal. ((At all... ever. A wound would never correctly close as the Body and the soul are not one.)) SO... while it seems kinda op, any damage at all after the Res... will be much more harmful then normal. Like even a small scratch would be very very bad and potentially lethal. It more be a "Let's Try to take somebody with me before I go out" type dealio then a true second life. Like... trust me. I heavily planned what Improperly affixed souls did to bodies... it is not pretty... not at all. ((It is actually... the process with which Dark Elements are created like Grave Earth etc... which is why it would literally tear his own form apart suuuuuuuper quickly.)) @Dobbs, would be interesting lol. Terranix Cleaves the Mountain is literally called that because Once Dust did destroy a Mountain with only his mighty Maul. He is... probably the most physically strong of the Divine Knights, however he is slow as hell as a result. ((doesn't help his armour is made of solid rock.))

Hmmm... This power would be most likely... the form of the spell. Probably residual magic leftover from when Lumabella herself plucked his soul into her realm and give it a new body to inhabit. So, it would most likely be a sort of... spell activating that he doesn't have control over it just kinda happens. It would be a Restoration, or an Incomplete Version of what Lumabella did once for him. ((also, most resurrections involve the Soul, Mind and Knowledge being put back into another Body. Therefore one could not die and come back, It would also be the re-affixing of a Soul to a body. Just due to how death happens in Graterras. THose three elements are quickly released from the dying form and roam until they are picked up normally by one of the Five Reapers and judged and recieve their sentence or placement in the Afterlife. Until then some outside force can re-affix the soul and its attached Mind and knowledge to a new body.)) That is the way I see it. And I totally forgot he met the Crimson Knight for a bit there Notus XD.

*Tips Fedora.* So long good sir. Good luck to you on the the road ahead of you and the path you carve into the future. May you have luck with that which you try to achieve. However, this is not goodbye. Hukuna doesn't say goodbye and never will. Until next we meet Cow, whatever circumstance that may be and whenever it may be. May it be a glorious day lol. Hopefully, you find that which you are looking for and that day I can pat ya on the back and we remember the good times... even if the ones between me and you were a bit short lol. I might not have known ya the best, but you were a friend, I'd at least consider you one. So, one last time. Good luck on the Path you choose to tread, and Til next we meet O' Musical Cow.

Don't worry... I will aggressively hint at your inevitable demise. ((as an aside... if you are a Paladin... you are not 100% certain to end up with the Divine Knight that represents your Order. You can still end up with any of them. ANY of the teams.))

If he can take out 3 Divine Knights in that amount of time... oh boyo... Cause... you guys will have to fight them. And if them having 9 Signatures was't enough to signify they are tough... they are bloody tough. After all, the goal of each team is to eliminate all members of the Opposing Forces. This includes the Knights. Better hope Marcus doesn't get popped early huh? Luckily... there will be no Lightning Cages with Lightning Werewolves... maybe he has a chance. But yea, it would certainly give it a draw back if it had a limited timespan before he just withers away yet again. Like... he would probably act more reckless etc... knowing he is on the clock now yadda yadda.

I wouldn't call Atok's stuff mainstream by any means XD. But hmmm... that is better than hipsters to be honest. Hissing would be a lot less annoying then the things normal Hipsters do... a.k.a Talk.

On, that whole... new body thing. I can't actually explain that without most likely spoiling something in the story of this... so... yea XD. What I will say is that Normally, the Soul has an affinity with the Body, Mind and Knowledge that it originally is a part of. Normally when people die in Graterras, 3 of those elements are released while the Body returns to the Earth. The Soul, Mind and Knowledge then are typically picked up by Mortimo's Avatars, or one of the Five Reapers. They ferry them to the afterlife. However... theoretically, they can be affixed to any body though they will not have a 100% tie to it. In Marcus's Case as well as the other heros in Graterras Original, their Bodies were recreated by Lumabella, therefore... they were perfect copies of the originals. This is due to the fact that Lumabella can perfectly read Souls of individuals being the Lady of Individualism she can use the blueprint of her perfect soul... and imprint it onto others and recreate the body that matches that soul. So, the first cheat was as if nothing happened. ((bu as the Gods are bound to not meddle in the affairs of Mortals... there were serious repercussions for that which I don't have the time to discuss lol.)). However... This power's drawback could be it's imcompleteness, that it isn't the right body... and that makes him much weaker the second time around. ((still strong, but weaker than normal.)) as a Full Link cannot be made between the soul and the Body. ((hell... it would probably waste away quickly, the body not being able to handle holding a soul it wasn't meant to etc...))

Well, I am assuming it is a one off type of deal like... bam if it works it never works again. Which... could be something that makes it somewhat more balanced. ((since using a whole signature slot on something that isn't permanent or used more than once is a pretty big drawback.)), however, the power of having a second life in the Clash of Fates is immensely powerful as it is a duel to the death between a bunch of factions. So, I'd have to say it needs some noticeable drawback to keep it. And just in case you forgot. It was Lumabella that saved you on that fateful day lol. ((Better hope there are no guys in Half Angel half Demon suits of armour walking about. Or Lightning Powered Werewolves. They didn't seem to good for Marcus's health the last time we saw those things in combination.)) But, yea in conclusion there, it needs a pretty big drawback if you are going to get a second chance lol. It is a suuuuper powerful boon to have even as a One Off thing.
