  1. Meredith wasn't really sure how to precede, she simply nodded. lt was at least true that Saffron would be a much better ruler than that of Roswell. The man didn't set a lofty bar, so that was easy said. But, Meredith had faith that she'd be as the rulers before. One who loved her country and her people. Not like the demon that sat on the throne... using lives as a means to an end. Lives to throw, fuel on the pyre of his inhuman war. "l understand. Send a word for me too though ye? The Undying has her own score ta settle with the Demon King. His soul... l'll see to it that it rots in hell for what he's done ta my beloved Dragao... and her people. To me. For each and every soldier who's fought in the rebellions... Remember us in that final stroke. Remember all the strife and pain he's caused, and the suffering, the woe brought inta this world. Many that would wish ta take that strike will never get that chance. But... you absolve us of ever needing to. Just understand this; lt won't heal ya. lt won't fill anything. Destruction can only beget more destruction. lt is but the beginning of a long road. But, l know you won't have ta walk it alone... not like l did."
  2. Anemone "Don't worry about me. Regardless of what l see... lt's not l who's carrying it." Anemone said, perhaps the first time she truly looked serious this entire conversation. With her good hand she fiddled around in one of her many pockets, and all sorts of rattling and plinking sounds could be heard. Wendy would probably start to wonder how many objects could be in such a small pocket. "Oh where is one of those?" Anemone said a look of slight frustration on her face. lt lit up though, her ponytail perkin' up the clearest sign. "Ah there!" the tiny mage exclaimed as she produced what looked to be a small purple marble in the palm of her hand. "This, is a marble! lt has no express purpose. l've a few of these marbles but that's not important right now." she smiled before willing energy into it, a faint and soft purple light emanated from her palm and slowly enveloped the marble. Anemone focused her power into it and wrote the spell within its confines. "These marbles help my magic, being that l'm not particularly good with any magic on it's own. Through proper prep work and planning however l can achieve much powerful magic by shaping energy with focuses such as this. l'm sure the principle is familiar as foci are quite common a practice." she smiled as she continued to work her craft on the small little glass ball. She shaped the magic to it, using it to focus her spell into the correct shape. "Alright this one's done, l'll have to insert it. Which means l'll have to touch you. l'll have to do it or it won't reach the proper location for connection. Are you okay with that Wendy?"
  3. Rayne had Beau run at the door at full tilt. Hooves crashed against the stone floor ringing through the hollow room. They thundered forward and Rayne leveled her lance right at the door. She wasn't sure this was actually going to work but... might as well try. The tip connected dead center, the dry crack of wood telling Rayne she had gained purchase into the door. She had Beau continue on his path hopefully using the momentum to tear the door from it's very hinges. The metal groaned in agony as it warped and bent. lt was too weak from the prior assaults to hold on any longer and through strength and extraordinary horse power it was defeated. They clattered to the ground, ringing hollow. The door crashed against the wall behind it, throwing dust and wood particles up int the air a slight haze lingering and splinters everywhere. Rayne laughed to herself. "Guess that's one way to open a door." Canto to B13, and brush off those splinters.

  5. Kaede The Eye of Hope? An ominous warning indeed from Eden. Kaede would've asked but the flow of time now restored she didn't wish to reveal that information to the others, even if they'd have their memories erased. Kaede was not sure how this power of Eden's functioned, if the memories were truly gone forever. lt was best to not test those limits and leave the others in the dark. They'd soon not have to be a part of this anymore, they would be free of the burden. She stared at the others, no real emotion on her face. She clasped her hands towards her chest, in an idle motion. There wasn't much thought given to it, just that she felt... something waiting for what was about to come. She closely watched the girl with the powers as well, expecting out of the three girls here, if anyone was about to try something... it'd be her.

  7. Howdy Folks! Hukuna here! Normally, this is where i would put my forward, however as this is a FEF… l don’t think it needs such an introduction so… let’s get into things shall we? Plot: The continent of Draestria is a quiet land, full of verdant fields of greens and tranquil forests. it is a land not truly ruled by any central government, Even cities that could have the means of such express no effort to do so. For Draestrians, they enjoy their peace and quiet. The simple life. Lords rule their fiefs, the common folk work for their wage and the peasants farm the land. Simple, easy, effective. Cities run on the merit of everyone doing their part to keep things smooth. Of course, it’s not perfect. Nothing ever truly is, but it the life they choose to live. However, a small kingdom is about to find itself in a World of Adventure. In the south lies a small fiefdom of the name, Padstow. A quaint little village if it could even be called that. Padstow, ruled by the old and wise Lord Coel, has always been thoroughly nestled in the gentle rolling hills of the southlands. Coel never had much want to be involved the the dim and droll of the larger world and sought to create a place he, and those he choose to bring into his service, could live in peace. It had worked for a time, but soon they would find themselves right in the thick of plots that threatened their beloved Draestria. Wicked Machinations that would come even to doorstep of Padstow. Players will play the as the many servants and friends of Lord Coel, and they will be tasked with unraveling the mysteries that threaten their homeland. Characters will be created at level 1 of the Trainee Classes. Draestrian Map: FEF Handbook,Version 1.Salt [Seriously important. 8. Meredith fist clenched while listening to Keagan's words. She got angrier as she heard it, finally culminating into her smashing her fist into the table. All the glassware jumped and clattered at the impact. The punch leapt out of the bowl, some spilling out over the edge from the force of the impact. There was an indent left where she had clobbered it, it was quite the force she had mustered."As if l needed more reasons ta hate that man." she growled out, anger seething through her words. "l'm... apologies..." she wasn't really sure what to say,but she hadn't meant to let her anger get the better of her.
  9. Kaede "l believe that is for the best. lf you can remove their memories... l suppose that is why when we awoke we did not know where we were. l suppose that is part of what you can destroy. l don't know if this is something easily achieved...in fact l doubt that it is. But, it is my fate... if l must destroy her with my own hands, then l will." Kaede was sure she needed to go through with this, she had to change this world. Even if it broke it more in the end... she had to try and that fact alone absolved her. lf no one was willing to risk that for change... then change would never occur.
  10. "Well, that wasn't how l wanted that to come out at all..." Meredith rubbed the back of her head. Now she was the one making it really awkward. She wasn't so great at this people thing. lt was silent between the two of them for a moment until something about the way Keagan phrased something felt... off. "My mother is probably a tavern keeper somewhere. l don't know he never told me." wasn't Roswell married? Meredith recalled his marriage to the high priestess... "You don't know your birth mother...?"
  11. "All the family you have huh? l'd ask but l'm not sure if you'd want to be all that open about that subject... given..." Meredith really trailed off there sort of losing her way mind sentence. She was wondering if this was okay for her to touch on. lt was something she'd been wondering about since the beginning, since the trio had joined her small unit. But, she wasn't sure this was the appropriate place for it. A party wasn't usually the place to delve into the more personal side of things especially one's that could be touchy subjects.
  12. Kaede "...The power to destroy? The power to end a goddess in but a single touch... is this fate? Was a broken doll truly given the means to tear apart the heavens?" Kaede thought aloud. She tried to make sense of everything that was happening... but this reality was a lot to take in. Perhaps this is why that one girl was so adamant in hoping this was but a dream. But, Kaede said it herself. This was no dream. "l don't know whether to laugh... or... l dunno. lt feels all too perfect. As if this is too sweet to be true." She stared at the strange marking on her arms, the tattoos that had lifted away from her own skin. They unraveled the light from that leaf... easily... effortlessly. This had to be what her life was meant for, wasn't it? To destroy the church. To perhaps even destroy Kallisto herself. "Eden... are you broken like me?"
  13. "l had figured you as one that was not much for words. No matter, l'm not much of a talker myself. Hittin' stuff is my preferred method of diplomacy." Meredith said accompanied by a beaming grin from ear to ear. She even flexed her arm, and about sending herself to tumble at the movement. She caught herself, managing to not spill her drink as well. She was getting more used to these heels... kinda. "You care about her a lot huh?" she suddenly switched tones to a more serious sort.
  14. "Uh... l suppose? Good ta know you're out of your element here too." Meredith wasn't really sure how to react to such and she couldn't but help to let out a hearty laugh. She quickly tried to stop herself though she didn't want to offend him. Keagan... didn't seem the talkative type. But, she knew nearly nothing about him, she'd not really spoken to him much and wondered if anyone in their little group really had. She finished fishing herself some punch before holding up her glass. "A toast, for the soldiers who got dragged here cause they have nothing better ta do." she waited for him to clink glasses. Hopefully he got what was going on, otherwise this was going to be ever so much more awkward.
  15. Kaede "Okay, l shall but l do not know if it will be a manifestation you are looking for. Try not to be too disappointed." Kaede said, seemingly defeated already. She did not know if her ability would manifest in such a brilliant way. Her soul was broken was it capable of burning that brilliantly? She did not expect it would be. She sighed, and resigned herself to her fate. She focused on a small object at her feet, a leaf. She tried to effect it in some way. She tried to send light at it, to create energy and throw it. Nothing came to her call. She tried to form a blade of light as Eden had requested... it did not sprout from her fingers tips. She tried to focus it as a ball of energy... still nothing. Clearly... trying to call on it wasn't going to accomplish anything. So... what should she try? lf she could not beckon it to her side... she could not create it in the palm of her hand, what was she capable of? Her soul... was... broken. She then tried to make the leaf as she was. She tried to banish it's light instead. She tried to destroy it, push it into darkness. Something... reacted to her call this time. Threads of dull orange light leapt from her fingers tips, threads of melancholy shoot out of her fingers following the path of the tattoos on her arm. They lifted from her skin, and began to dart forward faster than the eye could comprehend. Streaks of orange thread attached to the leaf and began to unravel the light about it. lt evaporated away from it's form, tearing away the light around it like threads of silk. They evaporated and changed to a horrible umbren shade of purple as they died. The leaf was left, a dark after image... completely plunged into darkness as if it wasn't truly there anymore. lt was but of void of darkness... an impenetrable darkness that nothing could exist within, or so Kaede felt. She felt... at home looking at it. As if she was looking at a reflection of her own being. "What am l...? l do not know, but l like it." she thought aloud.
  16. Kaede "l'm sorry Eden. l'd not know where to begin." she wasn't certainly not familiar with this power... she'd only just learned they even existed but, she was willing to learn of it use. lt would perhaps become a tool for her in the coming days, in her mission, the one thing her life was for. lt was strange learning from a being that was somehow... both younger and older than her. Something that before today was but a story, a forgotten one, but one nonetheless. "You'll have to guide me, but l am willing to learn and to understand this gift you have given me."
  17. Kaede "Kaede... Astorlace. 16..." she slowly choked out. She was always reluctant to share her name. Most she shared it with, only wanted it for gain. At least within the church that was certainly true. There was only one who asked out of a place of friendship. So, it wasn't easy for her to give it away even still. "l was born with a broken soul. l cannot experience emotion like others. You perhaps feel the presence of the break. l'm told being around me makes others feel lethargic... you seem... different. Your energy has changed and your body language. lt's... softer. lt is not like it was when the others could hear us. ls this who you really are?"
  18. Kaede "Ancestry? Even l am connected to the goddess's? Heh..." she laughed to herself, a barely audible chuckle. "Even a broken doll such as me? And l even have control of her light? What a world this is." Then another light... it was blinding for a second but she knew it was the one who had attained power as Eden had said. The girl not sunk low into the ground, of course she'd be the one to have them. Kaede should've known by her display of bravery earlier that it was her that had received them. Why else would would sacrifice themselves like so? ln retrospect it was such an obvious play... her new power was more intriguing at the time however so she missed something she felt should've been clears as day. Regardless, they were here now. "Three days for you to try and ascertain your power, That's what you really want. l don't understand mine... and l doubt you do, whoever you are. Three days is not time one's needs to deliberate such. Maybe l'm wrong as it's not even a decision for me, my life's only purpose is the church's collapse, but l think not that you need Three days for anything other than to try and worm your way out of this. Make your choice... it's not hard. lt is however not my choice... it is the young lady's." she said, deferring to the girl in the silver dress, the one who had began this mess.
  19. Kaede Powers? Kaede was too absorbed in thought about what this girl meant by powers to care about the plight of the others for now. What did that girl unlock? What was now present in within her? A power that had always been there... something new? She couldn't help but wonder. She couldn't help but think about it. lt was a strange feeling. She cared about something... is this what it felt like? Was this it? She wanted to know and just focused herself inward. Suddenly, she was enveloped in a bright white ball of light. She didn't see this as her eyes were closed, however the others did. Kaede felt power wash over her body. She felt... bare as if she was exposed to the universe... or... maybe to her own soul? She just felt an energy she never had before crawl over her skin, and crystallize into place. She felt naked even still. Wondering why, but things were moving to fast to really perceive. But she was now certain even her clothes were changing. She opened her eyes and found herself... changed. Her boots made some sort of light metal clanked on the floor as her feet were grounded. She moved her hand in front of her face... realizing the back of it was covered in... a strange orange pattern, much like a tattoo. They were simple lines that ran up her knuckles to her forearm where they spread out into another web of lines that raced all the way up her arms into her shoulders. They didn't stop there though, the crawled over her exposed midriff and up as far as her chest. Most of her upper body was uncovered save for a band of orange cloth that covered her more sensitive parts, running underneath her arms and covering her some of her back as well. lt was the same brilliant orange as the markings on her body. Her lower half was covered by... a strange piece of clothing she was not sure how to describe. lt wasn't exactly a skirt, more like the bottom half of a long coat or jacket was attached to one. Her legs were covered by black leggings, fit snugly to her form. Her boots, a strange metal, once more that orange. A choker was around her neck, breaking off the pattern of clean weaving lines from reaching her face it seemed. The only feature of hers to change... was her eyes now gleamed a dull orange... rather than their usual colour of a stagnant lake. "This... is a bit revealing." she thought out loud. She kept touching her skin, seeing if those tattoos were real. They most certainly were. Kaede looked to the girl, who was she? lt didn't matter however... something else did first. "What... is this? What is this power?" she directed her question towards the one who unlocked it.
  20. "You... keep some interesting company Ecquis." Meredith laughed after Clara's display. She supposed she was a lot like her sister Anna Marie even if she would probably never admit it. Quite the strange folks they were. She felt bad for the girl, just minding her business and grabbed out of nowhere. Parties... what a thing. Meredith wasn't much interested in the whole social aspect and it was easily started to get crowded over here. She was going to find some peace and quiet. "Anyway, l'll get out of your hair. Need ta grab some fresh air. Hmmm, and maybe some punch..." she said before heading off. She bowed towards Ecquis for... some reason... and then headed off to said punch bowl.
  21. Kaede "No, this isn't a dream. Unless we were all simultaneously experiencing the same dream at the same time. The most logical solution is that this is reality." and sure of it she was. lt was the simplest solution, the one that did not make any leaps or bounds in logic. Therefore, Kaede was sure it wasn't some dream or some falsehood. She saw the others reactions. She felt disappointed, but she understood. Not many had seen what she did, lived the life she had. "This society, this government, this church... they are broken. l've witnessed it with my own eyes. My family, my mothers both Stoles with the Kalliste Church. All my life... my only worth to them was that the Church took... interest in me. They did not love me. They despised my very existence. l'm sure you can feel the break in my soul... the tiredness that washs over you just being around me. No one's... ever looked past it and saw me as a person. Well, there was one but she's not here right now. But the others? They've only ever seen me as a broken doll. l've seen the eyes judging me... burning me from afar. Even from my own parents. The only thing l've ever been valued for is to be used as some sort of weapon for the church. l've never been a person to them and l never will be. And nor will so many others." She turned back to the girl dressed in silver. "My goal is already the same as yours. l already aim to destroy the Church from within. There can be no peace for me... or anyone so long as it still stands."
