I mean Emberly is 6'2"... pretty sure she is more than a Foot above like most of the other PCs XD.

I have a strange feeling there is going to be that "Holy shit she is tall as hell" moment with like every other pc that meets or interacts with Emberly at first lol.

Emberly just watched the situation unfold, she had no stake in it. 3 Girls she didn't know? Even if one asked to be her partner, she still didn't know her yet. Unless something got ugly, she wasn't going to spend the effort to do anything. Emberly was not one to make conflict where there didn't need to be any. If she wasn't involved, no need to become involved unless someone had serious risk of being hurt. And this small caveat was only because one of them asked to be her partner. As with earlier, she hadn't even thought to lift a finger to help that girl that got kicked over a bunch. It wasn't her problem, and she should have fought back or just solved the issue. It was not Emberly's problem she did neither. Arturia was the only reason that was even slightly considered right now. If she was in super trouble, Emberly would help out. However, she didn't see that coming to pass, and as such waited for the rest of the class to file out still.

Dobbs, if any one nation starts to repeal Net Neutrality, it is going to effect everywhere. Not just in that other places might follow suit, but websites based places will have even slower lanes to other nations. ((stuff like Youtube or other Streaming services based in the U.S., say goodbye to all of those because they are going to run like molasses )). If this goes through the message is sent that Net Neutrality period is okay, and it is definitely not okay. So Everyone should care if you want the internet to be what it is now, or for it to possibly grow in the future. Because if this is repealed, it will be chopping it off at the knees, and while the internet won't be fully dead, it might as well be.

This is the part where I complain about Through the Fire and Flames being literally one of the crappiest metal songs ever written since it is literally a "How stupidly fast can we play our instruments?" song. It isn't written to be enjoyed, let alone listened to, but as a experiment really. Eh... it is just not a good song imo. Anyway, turning off that mode since people will probably get mad at me. ((not to mention how much I just don't care for Dragonforce most times.)) but I digress. But, Heyo and welcome to Reborn!!! I am Hukuna Sensei, and I run the RP forums and the CW Forums around this place. I hope even if you don't wish to write, or to RP, that you at least come check it out and read the stories and writing that is housed there. It would mean a lot to me and the people who work super hard on that stuff and we would greatly appreciate you coming to check it out. Also, if you liked Winter of Souls be sure to check out more Demons and Wizards, and the 2 bands that make up the collab group. ((those being Blind Guardian and Iced Earth.)). Other suggestions for good Metal is stuff from Dark Moor ((I prefer their earlier stuff, such as the albums Hall of Olden Dreams or Gates of Oblivion, as the original singer is better in my opinion.)). I am more of a Power Metal Fan so I am not as familiar with the other types of Metal, especially not Death or similar types because I frankly think it is sort of crap.

The Point of this thread: Heyo! Hukuna Sensei here!!! I came across a rather interesting Show that while for more Traditional Tabletop RPs I feel may be a great tool for those who wish to Host in these forums. The purpose of this thread is to dump stuff here, and well just talk about it, maybe each of these can be a launching point to a discussion or to invoke thought in would-be hosts ((or veterans)) to maybe think and apply these lessons to their RPs here even if they are more TRPG related. Introduction of the Show and the Hosts of it: I will probably be plopping one here a week to keep the discussion focused and pin-pointed. Now, there are a few of these videos and they are podcasts so they have a bit of heft to them and they relate heavily to some series that go on with them. ((As these fellows are the the GMs for a Twitch/Youtube series by itmeJP called the Rollplay series. It is a series that focuses on some campaigns of actual TRPGs such as the Dungeons and Dragons series they have, but they also have some lesser known RPGs such as Stars without Number or Shadowrun.)) The show is run by both Steven Lumpkin and Adam Koebel, 2 GMs that I respect very highly as they are very good GMs and do some very powerful and entertaining work. ((for some big examples of their work and RPs they will be talking about Steven Lumpkin runs the Rollplay: West Marches and Rollplay: Research and Development. The West Marches are a procedurally built One-Shot world, where parties of characters build upon the world. It is run in 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. Rollplay: R&D is a show where they take a new RP and run a short 5 to 8 week campaign within that system. Adam Koebel runs the Rollplay shows of Rollplay: Mirrorshades and Rollplay: Swan Song. Mirrorshades is run in the Cyber Punk meets Fantasy World of Shadowrun((think The Matrix meets Dungeons and Dragons.)). Swan Song is run in Stars without Number system which is an entirely Sci-fi RP.)) The first Discussion will be on the Topic of GM Preparation, and while this ties into the Tabletop Aspects more, some of this relates very much to Forum RPs and how to go about prepping the world for use of play. I will link the 2 episodes down below and ask that you watch both parts through. Week 1: GM Prep; Things to think about when prepping the world for the RP. ((this says Episode 3... why? Because there are 2 previous episodes to this one, however, they are veeeery TRPG focused. They don't really have much in the way that can be discussed here in this thread.)) More Specific Points I want to Target: What do you think of Steven and Adam's consensus on World-building? Do you think that only points around the players that are being used ((or to be used soon within the future)) should be focused on? Or do you more closely agree with the Gygaxian((this will be something mentioned a lot. Gary Gygax was one of the original creators of the first edition of Dungeons and Dragons, as such, the old ways of TRPG and RP in general are sometimes referred to as Gygaxian RPGing etc. The are considered the old school principles of RPGs and most styles of it flow from here.)) way of GMing or running a game, in that the Host should know everything of their world they possibly can before bringing it to their players? Or do you believe a Balance of the two is more appropriate? Closing: I ask, below please keep all discussion civil. There doesn't need to be any bashing of what others say or their ideas. Please keep swearing etc to a minimum as well. They tend to bloat points with unnecessary filler words. While I don't have a problem with swearing, it is something that doesn't belong in a discussion such as this as it just dilutes one's point with as I said, needless bloat. If anyone would like a dump of all the collected episodes to watch them in advance ((as there is a bit of this show on backlog.)) I would be happy to provide. She didn't want to be trouble for Arturia already, but it was hard enough not slamming her head against the doorframe when she was walking into a room herself, but when every girl and her sister were trying to shove through the door? That was just a nightmare. People wanted to get places, they wouldn't make a wide-berth like they did in the hallway. Emberly would rather not shove through a bunch of people. Not because she couldn't, but because she couldn't be bothered to. So, as always she just waited until everyone else got out the door.

I have a feeling he is going to super overhaul the systems in the RP etc so I am going to say that while it might be a nice to know what occurred in the First Exodus, it probably isn't required. It is more or less kinda like an event that happened before the events of this RP and it will probably be eluded to etc...but I don't think you need to know it to join up here. About the only thing would be context on the characters that carried over ((Jace etc...)). that would be helpful to have.

Yea, as I said I wanted to nip in the bum now rather than wait and have it get out of control even slightly. Sorry, I am very much a "troubleshoot now before it ever becomes an issue" guy because I would rather interrupt the flow of play a little now, to not have something explode and interrupt it a loooot more down the line. It is best to take care of a potential issue, when it is still a non-issue.

And by the way, that more comes from my belief that players use swearing as a sort of vocabulary crutch, and has nothing to do with me hating it. However it seems to be the thing players default to when they are trying to show a character is angry or very upset etc... However, while I know it can happen irl, I just think player should strive to be better than that. It is hardly always the reaction a person will have when in that situation and there are many more ways to show anger in a character than vulgarities. Just my 2 cents.

Also can we cut down on the swearing a bit please as well? Like it isn't that I am against it, just the F word being in every other post is a bit much. ((just nipping this in the butt before it becomes a huge problem.))

Na, Blade is a bit too precision based. Emberly, while she is a skilled fighter, is more about smashing things with brute force. Basically her sword could be almost anything else as long as it could smash. It is the unbridled power that is the focus of her style ((which plays into her character theme of being a free spirit in everything she does.)). Hence, why there is a lot of Dragon imagery ((with her name and Hair colour having a fiery tone.)), because she doesn't do precise, she fights like a demon, unbridled and to a degree, reckless. So, Blade is not a fit for her. Only Elemental and Fury really fit her in my mind. ((with Pulse being even still, a little too focused for her imo.))

Yea, it would keep it clean in my mind space and keep from crossing the streams. ((because Emberly in this is slighty different from her FE counterpart... I mean mostly because she doesn't wield a giant Greatsword, but other things as well.))

Oh trust me, I am loving Emberly/Drake as a character ever since I wrote her for the Fire Emblem RP even if she is very different than I personally am. Drake is kinda one of my favourite characters just because she is so much different than any of my other ones. ((so much so I named my character in Tera Online after her.)) She is a very fun character for me, but this RP is like out of my comfort zone on character, and on the setting. So, it is like a double dose of "EHHHH, WHADDA I DO!!!"

Oh you can't imagine how weird I feel right now... This RP is sooooooooooooooooooo far outside my comfort zone. However... sometimes that is the fun in things trying out new stuff. ((I mean... I watched 4 grown men and a lady play Maid RPG on the TRPG show I watch. That RPG... is basically Anime bullshit the tabletop... I can say after watching that... I am a changed man... and I am still not sure if that is a good thing or not. Rollplay is the name of it by the way, I have talked about it before a bit. I suggest checking some of it out as it is the show that really reignited my love for RPing. Might want to wait on Maid though... that session was weird... very weird.))

Considering the running gag on the one show I watch on Youtube of a Sci-fi campaign, it is quite fitting. As in, his one-liner is every once in awhile when they ask the character something like "Who are you?" his only response is "I'm the cook." ((he isn't actually a cook, but dang if it isn't funny.))

Considering the only person she kept in touch with was a cousin of hers that was a baker... pretty sure she won't be something I can make into a character lol.

Only reason that makes me sad is cause I really wanted to explore Vixen as a character. There was a lot to her that I won't get to do now basically. ((like the whole reason she ended up being the cold-hearted person she was cause she wasn't always that way, and to some people she still wasn't. Like, the muffins thing was actually a character tie as stupid as that sounds during that scene with Garen out in the outskirts of the camp. I didn't really talk about it though, cause Garen didn't end up asking her about it. [there was a reason I described the tin they were in, they had some relevant importance to them. I am not sure I want to plop those details out there, maybe just leave them a mystery with the rest of Vixen.))

Well Jelly, basically this. All three have their drawbacks and their strengths with Forre having not only RS + Rocks ((or spikes if you want some spikes which are doable with Rapid Spin especially with another SR user..)) and it has a slow Volt Switch to get out and keep up the momentum. However, it by itself has 0 Offense presence and and is extreme set-up bait.((this is kinda why Forre dropped from OU, it just has problems keeping up with HO, or more Offense orientated teams.)). Basically, Forretress doesn't do shit by itself. Mega-Toise has pretty scary Offense capabilities and scares a lot of other Hazard Setters etc and just a lot of 'mons in general. However, it doesn't have any hazards of it's own and takes up your Mega Slot. Donphan is basically the Half Measure. It is the middle man out of the three. It has Offensive Pressure and can both set and Spin. So, which of the 3 you use is very dependent on the rest of your squad, and all three are very very good it just depends on your team's needs as I said. ((this is without even mentioning Tentacruel [mostly has the niche of running Toxic SPikes... take that as you will] or any of the Defoggers in the tier.))
