Berserker even if he was clear-headed, probably wouldn't have understood it completely either.

as I said previously Greninja is what I call a glue pokemon. You use him to patch up a spot that has a big weakness or hole with his coverage. He is meant to be a swiss army knife you throw at something that you otherwise wouldn't have a spot for. Greninja can fit into literally every team because Protean allows him to basically be any type. ((and Gren takes chunks from even resisted hits.)) Gren is made to be a problem solver who breaks down threats etc, for your sweeper. This is the focal point of the argument. I can usually figure out what a Gren is trying to do by the team members around it. He will clearly pack coverage they are sorely lacking, so like if they need a solid thing to take out Bisharp, it will have Low Kick. If they need it for the Fairies, it will have Gunk Shot etc... Basically Gren is too good a glue I think, he used to have more holes and was a bit harder to stick into teams, however does his new found coverage make him broken? I don;t know. What I do know, is Gren is made to synergize with his team so it seems like he is pretty o.p. in some situations, but they set him up in a way that will be useful for him. ANd Tomas, you point the he dies to most any hit is good, but how often does a Gren Switch in? Rarely deos it happen, People usually try for knock out switchs. ((free switch afer something dies on their side, this is just for clarity's sake.)) or after a Slow U-Turn/Slow VOlt Switch. ((a.k.a one of those moves coming from a mon that is deliberately slow so that it tanks a hit before the switch.)) So, it is safe to assume, a good player would never switch a Gren in at a bad spot, since there is no reason too. His goal is to come out and dish a bunch of damage, kinda like a Revenge Killer. in closing, Greninja is not a pokemon you build a team around, he is something you stick in afterwards as, oh it would be helpful to have this. He is a tool in the toolbox, and his simplicity is especially why this is true. Like a tool, he has a simple purpose, click this button, get rid of something/do a bunch of damage to something. While his moveset might be unpredictable as so many say, it really isn't, you can sometimes at a glance tell what it is there for if you are looking for it in the way their team is built. You should be able to see where they nailed a bunch of boards over something glaring. He is effective at what he does, as he is the ONLY one who does it the way he deos it. He is glue. And I am betting most of the time and on msot teams there is something to deal with the frog. Strong priority or just a solid hit are usually enough to do him in, as he is one of the most frail things in the meta. ((also, did anyone note AV Conk as a check? He actually does it extremely well. Since Gren has to risk the Mach Punch, and even if he does, and you go for Drain Punch [or you don;t carry Mach Punch for some reason.] instead cause you predicted a switch, you still whomp him hard and get most of what you lost back.)) We have to look at everything before we decide, including what could happen if Greninja leaves the meta. Is there anything he threatens so much it isn't run? ((other than just Fairies in general as they fear the Gunk Shot. But they are still run despite this.)). WHat options would teams using him now use that they don;t have the frog? ((this is the most important question, because, while I hihgly doubt it, could just cause something else to just take his place.)). The effect on the meta needs to be discussed to an extent, but I don;t feel I am the one to do it. I don;t knwo enouhg of the ins and outs to fiugre out all the if and buts, not to mention playing the what if game can get dangerous without REAL data. Maybe some should test it without the Frog, see the limits of what can be done without him running around.

Yea, the PC is this are super powerful, so it is hard to have them fight and not like...literally blow each other up super easy. ((also, VIk can cause nastier things than a heart attack for sure. Honestly....he can a lot of f'd up thing to people, so I imagine it is hard for him to not literally go insane when he can literally do some really horrible things to people on a whim.))

P.S. Dobbs, that is really how things tend to go with Interest Checks to my knowledge, usually you will get middling results, people really don;t know what to expect and they are looking at a project that may not be in it's final form. It is to see if there is any interest at all, and if it is worth putting time into the endeavor. We can't expect people to go insane over something that have yet to see, so that kinda reaction is one that should be expected. Once people do get a taste of it, more that were on the fence before change their mind and flip. Now with a with a whole Sub-forum, this is a lot more dangerous yes, cause what if it never gets used? Then we got a whole dead sub-forum. However, I think it is worth the risk for the IW one to be a thing, because it will give Writing threads the place they need to flourish, as they get buried in the Roleplaying Sub-Forum, and they never get eyes on them in the Wasteland, cause lets face it, not many people go in there all that often. I think it is worth the risk to give them that space to grow, and we can see if it can really be a thing here on Reborn.

He was kneeling, and holding his left hand to his forehead, while placing his right over Montebanke's wound. He whistled in that high pitch as he had before when reciting the Prayer he said earlier. a soft white light emanated from his hand and was cast down onto the wound. He pressed his hand on Montebanke's chest, and it began to reknit. The Skin quickly tied itself together bringing the sides of the wound back together. The deep gash started to disappear, thought the skin didn't really heal back all the way. a nasty bruise was still left there, but at least his gut wasn't open to the world.

It is both to relieve pressure and give it's own space. The mods should more or less be separate, as CW and RP are different disiplines. ((I am decent at both however, so I could reasonably do it.))

Felix, you did see the lin like right under that that said the exact thing you just said right? Also, you can't ban certain moves sets, you have to ban the mon, there is no way to regulate what moves someone puts on it.

Most of them are labelled with the tag [CW] so you should be able to see most of them. I enforce tagging threads in the RP forum so that it can be seen at glance what it is. As it is the Temp home of IW, I advocate they use a tag with [CW] in the title, that way people know it isn't an RP of any sort, just a short story or something of it's like.

Question, would I be able to move IW/Creative Writing stuff that already exists into the IW forum, or would somebody do it for me?

Basically it must be asked, what will replace Greninja if he is gone? Will they find another Swiss Army Knife poke that just fits that slot? ((I doubt it, Protean is what gives Greninja his power, since he has infinite stab potential.)). Will Fairies become rampant? The problem is, that is a hard question to figure out without hard data. Like, how can we possibly know while Greninja is still cemented within the meta? And yea Dan that is a good point, The priority STAB, or just hitting power of Mega Gross puts much more pressure in to use a fairy or not, but then does that make Mega Gross overly popular because of that? There is a lot to ask. ((Mega Gross is probably easier to deal with than Greninja, but still polarization is not very good, even if the mon can be dealt with, it effects teams regardless.)). Basically, we got to think of what possible outcomes could happen due to the removal of Greninja, and that is a good place to start with figuring out if it is a good idea.

I don;t know personally, Greninja is very much a glue mon, at least the way I see it, it is something that holds a team together, but maybe that is the problem, that it can shore up mostly any weakness in a team that exists. It should probably be looked at for sure, and if banned, I wouldn't gripe too much. However, it should be noted how the meta changes without it being around as well. See how much diversity in teams comes back, or if people just find something new to jam in the empty hole left by Greninja. I think that is just as important as whether or not to ship him off to Ubers.

Actually, could I ask you to remove that part about Vixen in there.....because it is actually totally against who she is as a person entirely. She would be WELL known to not follow orders from people she doesn't think should be in charge, and she is very much an upstart, to suggest she isn't kinda makes 0 sense. She in every meaning of the word would never bow down to people and has always been a free thinker, there is no way people wouldn't know about it if she was on the mission, let alone picked to come along. They would know that about her trust me. ((She has a problem with authority, and the ones she doesn't respect know it. So there is not really a way Quiet could think such a thing about her, cause it makes no sense, at least to me.))
