"Really!? AAAAAAH! I'm the oldest too! I have 7 sisters though. There's 8 of us in total. Don't have any brothers, always wanted one though. Seems the Marigolds are prone to having loads of daughters though. Always have been according to my mother. She was in a set of 14 apparently. She was the oldest herself." she rambled. still not really answering the question. She seemed to be wandering off however, despite not having any idea where Clarisse's home was actually located. So it was safe to say she was going with.

It was about infantry mages. Why would I bother giving info on Cavs which require a team comp built around them? Like Olwen is hands down better than Rein for Blade Tomes, ((and is probably better than him in cav teams in general.)) with Ursula being slightly behind and more readily available to everyone. But both Olwen and Ursula jsut aren't good on non-Cav based teams. They need the boost to their offenses to really shine. Rein is the only real cav mage that's worth using outside a team set up around him cause he doesn't really need any buffs to function. His base kit on it's own is sufficient. Mae and Linde ((and Rein even.)) are much easier to stick on any old team without needing the specific buffs and don't have the same issues as cavs do with their movement. Lucina-S I didn't really remember to mention though since she's limited availability. The thing is, Olwen and Ursula require a loooooot more than just their own SI costs to be good. they require you run a whole team around them. Which may be too steep a price for some people. I know quite a few that hate the calavry move's inability to move through trees on certain maps. In a cav team Olwen is legitimately the best blarblade mage in the game. ((if not THE best mage)) with Ursula pretty much just underneath her. I use Ursula+HoneCavs pretty much as my main core or have been for the past few seasons for bonuses. So ye... I know how good they are. It was jsut being asked more in relation to how Mae is in comparsion to other infantry mages. ((and I did mention Rein which might have made this massively confusing in the first place cause I'm stupid and didn't bandaid that LOL. But I mentioned him becuase he works on pretty much literally any team.)) ((still hope I roll an Olwen at some point. She's cuter than Rein anyway.)) also that was literally the most roundabout way possible to say "Ye, I know in certain circumstances X is better." I need to work on being so wordy. -

Owl tomes are entirely inferior to Blade tomes offensively in like nearly every way. To get even slightly comparable a boost you'd need to set up all three characters to be adjacent before you attack literally every time. Further, even base without a blade tome Linde is better statwise. She has 5 more speed ((literally doulbing range)) speed over Mae and with her Signature tome ends up with 3 more attack. Mae's defenses are barely higher than Linde's really so the tradeoff isn't really worth it. Mae is pretty much just inferior than Linde in every way since you have to net 3 Owl tome bonuses at all times to have her be on par with Linde. In Mael's case there's really 0 reason to use her ever. In general Owl tomes just aren't all that feasible for your typical offensive build since netitn' that many bonuses AFTER moving is pretty difficult to consistently do and without leaving a ton of units in rnage of enemy attack or just bruning their turns entirely. Owl tomes would probably only be good on a super bulky mages that can bait an enemy unit in tandem with Close Counter. It's just much more relstic to get the bonuses this way so it's more of a defensive tome tbh. In short, Mae is fine if you don't have Linde, or Reinhardt. She's probably the third most powerful blue mage out of the box. ((and having natural Despy is nice.)). But her statline kinda leaves a lot to be desired as it's lacking in speed for the role she wants to do, but she's not really tanky either. She's in a weird midpoint between being tanky mage, or an offensive one and that makes her not excel at doing either role. -
"Oh, your from around here? That's cool. I've never known anyone from Z'ark before." Rayne mused completely failing to actually answer the question. She seemed more preoccupied on some thought in her head as she stared off into space for quite a few moments. Suddenly she just starting filling the silence with words. "Oooooo. I wonder what they are like. Do you have siblings? How many... 1 or 2? Maybe 7? Hmmm. I bet none of them are as cute as you though. Certainly none as good at guard-guarding." her sudden outburst seemed to be all the asnwer Clarisse was going to get as the Peg knight kept spouting out thoughts about the possibility.

You guys really don't need to be bringing attention to this. Things will be handled it's part of the job. Just relax we'll handle it. ((if you really feel the need pm a global mod. or just file a report on the post. we don't need it being visibly recognized.))

"I need ya to take this off my hands! I won't be needing it anymore as I've gotten a spear more suited to my needs." she said holding the steel javelin forward. She pressed the haft into his hand quite firmly. "Oh, and here. For your service~" Rayne handed him another bag of 200 vespers. She was always taught to give what people are due. Running the convoy was probably quite the thankless job. Basically he was keeping an entire companies inventory for them. It was an essiteinal thing but one Rayne knew couldn't be all sunshine and roses. Her mother always told her to give the people that did these jobs the utmost respect. In general it was this respect the Marigolds were highly known for. That they respected every single courier, runner, accountant etc that worked with them. It didn't only extend to the members of their guild, but all the people that made it possible for them to function. Voy Con was one such person. He made it possible for their company to continue running smoothly. TL;DR, Dump Steel Javelin in convoy, buy short spear. ((and tip the man an extra 200 gold. 1700 spent.))
-
Rayne stared a the weapons for quite awhile looking it up and down with her eyes. She seemingly spaced out to those around her. Th weapon had a lot more balance to it. She could tell it'd still be a little heavy for her but it's build was much more balanced then the workmanship on the Steel Javelin in her hand. It's shorter length would also be a boon for handling it while atop a Pegasus. Still she stared at it long enough that it was probably just on the verge of getting uncomfortable. "That'll be perfect.~ I'll take it." she said placing holding the vespers up for the merchant to take. "I'll take it in a moment. First I need to drop off this... uh thing. I won't need it anymore." She wondered off a bit to the side before whistling to summon the Convoy man from before. She waited happily whistling the little tune to herself.
-
"Would you happen to have any spears? This particular javelin doesn't really suit me much. It's just much to heavy." Rayne said producing the steel javelin she had. While it was quite instrumental in that nasty Roman's downfall, she didn't really like how heavy it was. It's balance felt all wrong to her. It was a crime against well made weapons honestly.

Only thing I'll say though is you don't have to build your team around supproting your Bladetome for Celica though. She works with a bit less investment ((only really needing a healer or a unit with Breath of Life)) to support her. SO I think Celica is easier to fit on pretty much any team. ((since she's basically a one time super nuke of doom.)) I'm saying this without really knowing or having her though so... I'm might jsut be dumb. Owl Tomes seem a lot worse now that I know how they work too... it being incombat bonsues... kinda sucks since you have to set up positions for that super in advance and I think it's only really worth if you get at least 2 adjacent which would be difficult to reliably pull off on player phase. ((and to do it while baiting defensively you require Close Counter which is a very premuim skill right now due to being on 1 unit who is 5* exclusive.)) As for Gauntlet... I could really give two flying tosses cause I mostly just like the matches for trying out new units etc that I may not have. I will say this season I purposfully joined the team I knew would lose every time just to manipulate the bonus and get maxmium points. Because it's much more feathers that way than being on the winning team at all. ((I'm part of the problem. :P)) though to e fair the first time was jsut a happy accident since I picked Linde for the extra point bonus ((like I usually do to get feathers from being higher rank.)) -

No problem. HP is... rather unfortunate just cause of how bloody low her HP is in general. I'm not sure if it makes her unusable though? I dunno. I'd have to run calcs and see some stuff and no offense but I feel awful right now ((sick)) so I doooon't feel like do numberwang right now. Zephiel is certainly just a veeeeeeeeery solid option. He should serve you well. Get him a good A Skill and he'll be great. -

it's honestly too early to tell on her due to her being level 36.She's 100% +Def as it's higher than her neutral base but you can't tell any of the others but Res isn't the - It's past that already. The others are hanging around the bottom end so it could be a few of them yet. get tell As a note @Combat if the unit is not level 40 but is higher than lvl 1 it's impossible to tell their IVs unless they happen to work out well enough that you can weed them out((which ain't going to be often)). Instead of showing that stat screen put them into the unlock potential screen and show the lvl 1 stat of their next star level up. ((with everything unequipped.)) It's much easier to actually tell that way. Zephiel has to be 100% Neutral though. All Units recieved from hero Battles and Grand Hero Battles are always 100% neutral. As Grand Hero Battle Units aren't currently rollable, they are unable to recieve Banes/Boons. So, he's a safe bet to go with for 5*. He's a pretty solid unit if you don't mind using armours ((personally I despise them and never will. Fuck 1 mov.)) -
tfw jsut sitting here with your eyes closed with Rainy Mood on cause you don't want to do anything else at the moment. I'm so wonderfully boring.

Did not know Ragnell was 1-2. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's super gross. ((lol, I'm more okay with it though in that case.)) Ryoma speed is like waaaaaay better though so he makes up for not having Heavy Blade. ((while still having basically the same attack.)). Essentially... he really doesn't need yeah blade to be just as good but He gets doubled less on virtue of having 4 more base speed. ((neutrally.)) Like it's is stuuuuuuuuuupid. Ryoma is I'd say is more customizatiable as well. You don't have to run Heavy Blade and can run some other things. Really though if you have either... they are both far and away the best sword units cause Distant Counter on your weapon is duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb. Xander is just as silly though enjoys having Horsey support ((but is probably super usable regardless.)) Honestly I'd rather be running with Titania since I'd prefer a Green Horse unit to go in the team. ((currently running Ursula and Gunter but GUnter is literally just for the buff he does nothing else LOL.)) and having a Green to properly take on Blues that threaten Xander ((msotly res damagers)) Would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeell. -

Ye it's weird. Especially as without Wrathful Staff.... Life and Death is garbage on them. To be honest the Blow Skills are as well really. ((since only really Death/Darting are all that great.)) Ye, the main thing with ike is the guy is pretty much usable out of the box. His starting skills are solid and Ragnell is yet another Distant Counter sig weapon ((for some reason...)) Heavy Blade is silly good as well. Like siiiiiiiiiiiilly good. Swordbreaker is his only questionable skill really. It's not bad though, it's just personally I'd prefer QR since it does similar things it jsut extends to all units rather than solely Swords. In the long run Ryoma has better stats but he takes a shitload more investment. ((cause while his starting kit isn't awful it's certainly nothing crazy either.)) Really though... Reds are flippin' everywhere. Like eeeeeeeeeeverywhere. ANd ye, I'm sure Ike will be on a banner at some point again. Titania is great as a blue mage counter though. ((like her statline reminds me of Anna just she's on a horse lol.)) with Emerald Axe she probably takes like pretty much nothing from them. I'd have actually liked to have pulled her for my WIP Horse Emblem team. She offers a lot more than Gunter as a Green axe unit and is Res Tanky rather than physically tanky. ((I thing Cander will cover well enough once I get him sorted.)) -

Ye. Someone told me it was C at first and I'm like "There's no way that'd be BROKEN as hell." Cause C is like... easily the lowest priority skill slot and is pretty much always flexible. It'd probably jsut be run on most healrs with remotely offensive spreads if that was the case. But ye, I'm fine with it being that way since to skew more offensively you have to give up some of your better utility. It's a perfectly fair trade as a B skill. ((and really as was said there wasn't much they were running in B anyway other than Wings of mercy and maaaaybe some of the healing skills on occasion.)) But I'm glad it's B just so you caaaan use an A skill as well... shame that like.... half the A skills you can't use on Healers They can only use Stat+ Skills, Close Counter ((surprisingly given all the shit they aren't allowed to.)), Defiant Stat buffs, Fortress Defense ((since it's just a stat boost with a drawback.)) and that's really it. They can't use any Blow Skills, Fury, TriAdept ((cause colourless obvi.)), can't use Life and Death, Heavy Blade even though it'd be awful on them anyway most likely... other than like maybe miracle shenanigans. DUnno It's weird just how much they can't use. -

Yes, Again is literally actually Dance. It does pretty much exactly the same thing. Wrathful Staff... is probably as good as it gets in the B slot. Like I'm highly surprised it isn't A but it's good that it's not. The only issue is like.... so many skills in the A slot you just literally aren't allowed to use on Staff Users. ((a lot of B's you arent' either.)) It's kinda frustrating to some degree how much they limit them since that's a lot fo why they haven't been so great due to having a much more shallow selection of skills to use. ((I know a lot starting running Fortress Defense since they don't give a toss about their damage output.)) I think I saw somewhere someone say they require Close Counter and I... really don't agree. Close Counter isn't really that great imo on stuff that isn't Takumi. Takumi is basically made for the skill having decent enough Defense that it works. Most Staff users have really garbage defense so they will probably get oneshot especially the one's most likely to use Wrathful Staff. Wrathful might be run in conjunction with Gravity. As it's 6 mt which is still okay but it has the added benefit of silly shenanigans with Draw Back/Reposition. You just run your healer that does damage forward to hit a melee unit, and then pull them back. ((I find magic characters can usually get away with lower attacks stats due to the fact that resistance seems to be overall a lot lower than defense.)) it doesn't really function as well on ranged units but it does basically let you kite the hell out of basically any melee unit in the game. ((provided they don't have distant counter but you still can kite them)) I dunno, Wrathful Staff period just gives healers more actual options. That's important imo. Cause they were Sorely lacking build options ((and imo still are.)) -

Eh, don't mention it~ Fairy Type is still pretty new to folks at times isnce it's only within the last two generations of Pokemon. And it's probably one of the lesser known resists it has. ((just since Fire doesn't hit it super effectively unlike Steel and Poison which are also resists to the type.)) And it was no biggie~ -

Ye Reds are overly common. I see full teams of reds nearly every single battle. ((and I have pretty much every gauntlet.)) Huh... welp Guess we'll see how long that lasts. For reference I'm on team Linde. A.k.a the team i think people totally forgot about the x3 bonus apparently if I'm this bloody high up. ((spoilered tagged it the Image ended up being WAY bigger than I thought. Whoops)) I also have a feeling none of y'all are on the same team as me since I've not gotten any friendlist units. I've been getting double random units this whole time. ANd I know since I always get 2 prompts to add people at the end lol. Probably a good thing as that Oboro is still very much a WIP so... she might weigh y'all down a little if you did pull her. -

"I... know that..." Rayne said looking away blushing a little. She rolled off of Clarisse sorta of realizing maybe it wasn't the best idea to just have tackled someone who was just injured. She flopped down on the ground spreading out a little. "I didn't mean to imply Emilee wasn't up to the task. Just... I dunno. I'm sorta the reason you're here. I don't want you to get harmed just cause I'm being... a little selfish. I, know you're fully capable of handling yourself just... I worry sometimes." Rayne swiftly moved on to her question though not allowing either of the woman time to question her or to linger on the last thing she had said. "Beau and I saved you. I... suppose I got to take you flying a bit earlier than expected. You just weren't awake for any of it."
