  1. The Gentleman turned. He scoffed. "You are nothing but an image." The Gentleman snapped his finger, the noise of the snap seeming to hang in the air. The Illusion of the Knight disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared. "Now where was I? Oh yes, Come here Orc! Your Doom is nigh!"
  2. "Fine, say hello to Pyron for me." and with that his blade plunged into Marcus's heart. However, his body didn't shrivel away. A golden Light moved out of his chest and towards the air. It was as if The Gentleman didn't see it though, only the heros could. One could only wonder what it was. The Gentleman Pulled out the Angel Wing from Marcus's chest. Then Spires flew towards him, made from the very earth. He smirked, and put up his Shield, images of horror ecthed all of the surface of the damned thing. One by one the spires crumbled into dust as they hit the shield. The Gentleman, wasn't even phased. "Who's next?" The Gentleman got his answer, a Hatchet came flying through the air and hit him in his Helmet covered face. It only bounced off the armour but it was an answer none the less. "You monster! How dare you take them out of this world! This Plane it not for Demons like you!" shouted Odin as he ran forward, towards the Gentleman, Twin Hatchets in hand. He peeled back the Knight's shield and struck him a blow that caused his armour to ring. But it was to no avail. While strong, the blow did nothing. He picked up Odin by his Simple Braid in the hand with his shield. "Time to join your son Odin Thunderbrew, isn't it cute? A second Family reunion." as he cut the Dwarf Father in twain. both halves of him failing pathetically to the ground. Another Golden light erupted from Odin's body, as it flew off his body still lay there, and didn't shrivel. The Gentleman walked towards, the Half-Orcish Sorcerer next, his armour softly ringing as the rain struck it.
  3. Well you are all dead eventually. Odin will probably be soon, things are just happening so fast, it hasn't sunk in for him yet.
  4. The Gentleman Snapped his fingers, and all of a sudden the Horse he was riding on disappeared, he stood, 7 feet tall, looming over Marcus like a Giant, the Angelic side of his Armour gleaming in the fire that whirled towards him. It collided into his chest, but ultimately did little more than heat his armour a little "Nice try, you must be either Marcus or Xavier. Doesn't matter to me, my turn!" He drew his Massive Sword that was an Angel's wing. He brought in line with the Templar's arm, cutting it clean off. He kicked him to the ground, and spat in his face. "Any last words to your god, or is death good enough for you now?" he spat venomously at Marcus, while he foot crushed into his chest.
  5. You would have to wait til Chapter 2. (Which believe it or not doesn't start after the Gentleman Ruthlessly slaughters all of you .)
  6. "I am the harbringer of the world, all will be purged." said the Gentleman, as he rode straight towards Marcus, the one furthest forward in the group. It is then when Magni jumped in the way. "STOP DEMON!!" he shouted holding his hammer in front of him. "I will not let you hurt my Family of my friends!". Gentleman did stop, but it wasn't a good thing. "Hmmm, how quaint. A Paladin. Always hated paladins. Their always thought their Ideals meant something, but it all just a stupid code to keep them inline." Gentleman remarked. " Now out of my way boy, or you will be first." "NO!!" Magni shouted "I will not let you pass." "Fine, then die with your silly Ideals then. They are as useless to you as you are to your friends, you die now!" and with that the Flaming Horse continued forward, somehow coming to top speed almost instantly, The tip of the spear plunging into Magni's abdomen. The Gentleman Brought the Spear and Magni closer to his face. "One thing before I let you go worm, I want to know who these people are, that you are so valorously protecting." a small blade popped out of the tip of his right Index finger. He stuck it into Magni's forehead. Magni screamed bloody murder as the Being searched his thoughts. Once he had the information, he removed the blade. A Dark Pulse came off the lance. "Goodbye, Paladin." said the Gentleman. Hideous laughter, he couldn't contain himself, the looks on their faces were too much. Why would they care about such a useless creature thought the Gentleman, as Magni's body shriveled into dust on the end of his Lance. "Anymore of you want to challenge me? Otherwise Line up please, it would make this SO much easier."
  7. *whistles* the tags didn't lie (that also means the maybe part actually means something, so while you are all probably dead and really will die, there is a twist coming.)
  8. An Eerie voice seemed to ring out from everywhere, it sounded as if it came from the bottom of a cavern. "Darkness, give me strength, to purge the Wicked from this land. Give me your lance for my charge into the enemy so that I may pierce their souls, and deny them entry to the heavens." With this a great aura of Darkness appeared in the Knights Right hand. All of a sudden an Umbral Lance made of pure darkness appeared in his hand. He leveled it towards a bunch of sailors that were fleeing the scene, and skewered them upon his lance. The skin turned black where it struck, and the blackness traveled up their bodies. Their very skin burned away, charring and turning to dust, and being blown away in the terrible winds of the storm. Now The Gentleman leveled his lance at a new target. Sigurd. The Templar of Aelia had no idea what he was in for. Without even a flinch, the Gentleman rode forward, seeming to not care about Sigurd's words.
  9. A spot of music to fit the mood. And then Evil Incarnate rode in. A Flaming Black Steed carried a formidable man sized being towards the destroyed town, As it ran it hooves caused everything it touched to wither and die, leaving a trail of Blackened earth in it's wake. The blood rain ceased as he came into sight, it was only a warning for those that saw it. Magni and Odin came to join Marcus, in the street. "What in the name of the Nine Divine's is that?" Odin said. "I don't know Father, but I have a feeling it is the last thing threatening our village, we must steel ourselves." Magni replied. Destiny quickly rode towards our heros, their fates were about to be written in blood, and sealed in the darkness of the lands. Fate, a cruel Mistress, would send them a foe that they could not defeat, though they had no way of knowing it. The Evil rode closer and closer, while the air became more and more sickly, Evil almost literally filling the air. They had a short time with which to brace themselves, for the impending doom was close.
  10. Akuma spattered the brains of one of the Lizard's against the nearby stonework as they turned to run. They all began to flee, all the forces running from the field. However, something horrfying started to happen. The rain from the storm turned to Blood. He would soon arrive. An overwhelming felling of dread, and the tendrils of dark evil would wash over the heros.
  11. She hit, staggering the Officer and sending his blow off-target, but not enough. It hit Odin in the shoulder, a fountain of blood spewing forth. The Officer nearly collapsed on top of him as well, but he rolled out of the way clutching his mangled shoulder. The Sword fell from the Officer's grasp, and collided with the ground and shattered, releasing an arcane explosion. it sent Jeneve and Odin flying, Odin slammed into a nearby wall, extremely injured, bleeding profusely. Magni saw the explosion. "NOOOO!!!" he screamed as he thought his father might be dead. He swung his hammer towards another of the Lizard Creatures, it's head collapsing with a spurt of blood. He ran past the last few remaining enemies and the fleeing rabble of the enemy force to find his father. Nearly all the nearby structures started to crumble to the ground. Magni reached his father, Odin barely clinging to life. He used the lay on hands to heal his Father's wounds. As he did this, his own shoulder, tore open. As the unfortunate drawback to the Lay on Hands, you must take on the Pain of those you take it away from. He stood with his father crying, as Odin awoke. The warm embrace of his son kept him alive. Odin noticed the rabble was to occupied to pay any mind to them, so they sat in the shelter of a half fallen home, as the storm raged on.
  12. The sword melted just the edge of the shield that blocked it becoming stuck. The Lizard Creature couldn't move so he ducked behind his shield as much as possible. Magni Bashed him from the side with his hammer, yelling "Dewloc!" A Harsh flash came off the hammer as it knocked the Lizard cold.
  13. The Officer pulled a net from his waist belt, as he threw it towards Jeneve, Odin took the chance to retrieve his axe. He picked it up and quickly crunched it down back into the same wound he had made before, this time the skin was loose enough he could draw the hatchet as he retreated. The Officer quickly slammed his Sword into the ground knocking Odin to the floor. The Officer went for a Deathblow, but Odin rolled out of the way barely in time. He picked a Small knife out of the pocket in his waistcoat, and threw it hoping to distract the beast. It didn't work as it kept it's eyes trained on the Dwarf, and went for another overhead Strike.
  14. As the Lizard with his sword turned to slash at the Wolf on his friend an Arrow landed in his shoulder, he continued his swing however right at the wolf's neck. The arrow aimed at the Officer, bounced harmlessly of his scales. Odin saw this, a sinking feeling coming over him, looking closely at the Scales he realized their were overlapped, and ranged wouldn't do much good against the Officer, perhaps that is why the beast wasn't wearing a chestplate with any of the rest of his armour. Odin had get in nice and close. He snuck up on the Officer and swung his last Hatchet into the Beast's Calf. Predicting it's reaction he jumped back, leaving the Hatchet in it's leg. He was right, it almost instantly swept it's leg back to knock over whatever was attacking it. Odin was in a good spot fighting this beast as Dwarves were trained in the ways of fighting Big foes. However, he had to get his Hatchet back otherwise he would be pretty useless. The Lizard's Quickly Split into groups of Five the first group Surrounding Akuma, the Second Sigurd. They all drew their Kilij as a few more ran forward to occupy the fighters at the front, Magni Crushed the skulls of a few of the rabble that flooded in, Making his way back to the Soldiers with the shields. One Lizard rushed Sigurd with his Shield using it as a huge battering ram, as the others took swipes to the side to try and prevent him from dodging either way.
  15. The Officer frantically looked around, spotting an elf on a nearby Rooftop, figuring they wer the one that threw the axe and just slide down his back. He was barely touched as his scales easily absorbed most of the damage so far. He went charging for the Elf, slamming his Giant Sword into the building, causing it to collapse. Odin threw another Hatchet at the beast this time landing square in his back, but the beast didn't even notice it. The Lizard behind the one that struck with it's Kilij dropped it's shield to shelter it from Akuma's blow, blocking both the hammer, and inadvertently, Helzebeth's arrow. Akuma's blow didn't have the weight behind it to break the shield this time. They all tried to stab out towards Akuma, 9 spears all headed to hit him. Magni, kept getting in blows where he could though it was tough getting through these shields. Being made out of solid obsidian, they were almost impossible to break, probably even with most magics. They had to be ungodly heavy as well, so Magni was at least glad the Creatures had no way to swing them freely to hit them, since it would probably be much more effective then their spears.
  16. Akuma's Hammer crashed horribly into the Shield wall of the Lizard's. The Obsidian Shield cracked, the top half falling a way. The Lizard-Thing behind it Took this opportunity to drop his spear and quickly get his sword to swing at Akuma. The Kilij flew quickly in a sweeping motion towards Akuma, threatening to slash open his stomach.
  17. The Officer From the back now called out in Common, as if to taunt the townfolks as they battled. "Blot out the Sun, FIRE AT WILL!!!!!!!!" all of a sudden a Legion Archers appeared, far back out of the town, they rained arrows over the battle field. Screams could be heard as Friend and Foe alike were felled by the blind arrows. The Officer smiled widely. He hoped to break their spirits, before he broke all of their bodies. Odin stopped quickly as he saw the foe in his sights. The Officer stood laughing, apparently thinking he could easily break the spirits of the townsfolk, clearly due to his bleating out orders in Common. Odin whispered under his breath "Never underestimate Fisherman, when we aren't fishing we get ornery." His hatchet went flying towards the the Officer, He didn't even see where it came from due to him being so busy gloating. The Hatchet landed square in his face, he pulled it out and threw it to the ground, spitting mad. Blood trickled down his face, as he spewed many curses in his strange language.
  18. Magni took charge of the Warrior group. "Let's begin the assault, everyone on me!" Magni began the charge towards the Phalanx of Lizard People hoping the others would be in tow behind him to fight along side him. "Quickly Lady Jeneve, let us get to the alleyways, we should be able to sneak around and flank the Officer, hopefully the sailors keep the rabble off of us, but be prepared to fight if we must." said Odin as he ducked around a building. Luckily being a Dwarf his small size made it easy to conceal himself in the alleyway, without crouching down, so he could move at full speed, He had his Hatchet at the ready incase any rabble happened to come across them on their Mission. Odin hoped that Jeneve and Hunter were following him, he would need all the help he could get fighting the big Officer. Luckily Dwarves were well versed in combat where their foe was much bigger than them, but he worried about the other 2. Xavier jumped into a pile of spears, they were all ready for him as he was about to land, so easily piercing his armour and causing some significant wounds. He would live, but not if he kept making such reckless moves. Lucky for him Magni had just arrived on the scene, and used the Paladin's signature move, The Lay on Hands. Xavier felt his wounds stitch back to together, as if they were never there, but Magni took 2 blows from the Lizards-things spears. They stayed in their formation behind their huge shields but now the Officer caught up. No more magic would be able to be used as the Anti-Magic Shell slipped over their formation, an impenetrable wall of Obsidion Slabs and Pointy Spears faced the incoming charge. And they they had to rely on Pure Brawn to defeat their foes. ((by the way, even Templar magic doesn't work under the Shell, so no Fire or wind shenanigans. You are lucky Magni got to you before the Anti-Magic Shell as well otherwise you would have been hella banged up.))
  19. I am not gonna let you have a Magic Sword this early lol. Well without it trying to to take over your mind because it is cursed but this is not that kind of sword, it is just HUGE lol.
  20. They are keeping the little shits busy while you guys fight the Elite force. (Also just because I saw it, Acqui let me give you a bit of Idea how big the Officer is. The sword he is wielding, the one with the Anti-Magic Shell Aura, is bigger than your character's body, and he is wielding it in one hand.) oh and Murdoc if you get Chicken it is all worth man. Also did you like legit jump into the middle of 10 heavily armored Lizard creatures? cause if so you going to be hurting lol.
  21. (( Thought I could delete posts, apparently not, well I don't have a way for this to be constructive for right now lol.))
  22. By the way this next encounter with our Phalanx friends, no automatic blows or just outright hitting them, as they are equalish to your skill level. Their are almost PC status, so they know how to fight and aren't crappy silly rabble. Basically if you were to fight Odin, treat the fight that way, only with Big slobbering Black-Scaled Lizard freaks with Giant Shields and Pointy Pointy spears. (and some Kilijs [really not sure what the plural of that word would be to be honest.] for side arms.)
