  1. Yea they got a bit nuts, had to get them to calm down a bit since I don't want you and Acqui to become irrelevant in the events of what is happening. Also Graterras has gotten almost 80 posts in 2 days, I would like to point out.
  2. Not sure about Bibs, but I know you are good character writing so don't get to sad man. (also I don't think Bibs had dived into My Realm, or the Rolplaying Section, of the the forums yet at that point, but I could be wrong on that lol.)
  3. Yes, you have a limited Empathetic link. What that means is you have a general feeling of where they are (like you don't exactly know, you know enough to be able to find them, but not what kind of area it is, what is around them etc.) They can also feel basic emotions through this link as well. while you can't send a direct message you can feel what their basic emotions are.
  4. Odin looked at the Wolf that had come up to him. "Hmm, you are Helzebeth's Wolf...... Well then I suppose you will do, I think you are smarter than the average Wolf and will definitely be able to help us on the stealth mission." Odin smiled, he had hope that this might not go as horribly as he first thought. This would be a hard fight but he felt there was hope for now.
  5. Magni joined the others at the Barrier. "I think we need the warriors to charge the Warriors in the front. If my Father can get behind enemy lines with a small force they may be able to take on the Leader, we just need to keep the forward force occupied so they can't back to assist their Leader." Magni said. "I will lead the charge into the front lines with the Warriors, our more sneaky members need to help with the leader." Odin then spoke up "Aye, get me Lady Jeneve, and Lady Helzebeth if you can find her, we need to go into the enemy lines to take out the Leader, I feel even with 3 of us he will still be a hard foe. I don't know if we can make it out of here alive, but we are damned, if we don't try."
  6. The sailors are backing you guys up, they just aren't heros so I haven't been focusing on them, I will insert a bit about them if think I need to though. (actually was going to have them take up the fight against the little shits so you guys can all take on the badass Phalanx Lizard-like People, and their Officer since that will be a real fight.)
  7. A Dark Aura could be felt by all the Heros, wriggling tentacles of darkness and pure vile evil. It was riding closer and closer, though it was still a ways away. The Elite creatures redoubled their effort moving quicker, soon coming to a crescendo with the group of adventurers. They didn't break formation, being smarter than your average grunt. This would be a tough fight for our heros, especially with the impending darkness swiftly riding in. (( He is coming my pretties........Bwahahahahaha)).
  8. Odin backed out of the main fight heading to Drug'thok's location. "Aye, me and Lady Jeneve can sneak around if the fighters can hold off the bulk of them." he managed to spit out, tired from the fighting "We should be able to get to the biggin' and take him down if you guys keep the group busy. That will get down the magic shield and hopefully get the fight to be easier."
  9. I mentioned the Black Glow for a reason, was waiting for somebody to sling magic his way. Also until the Phalanx guys you guys were all going to be op, the others are just rabble, these guys are the true force (and the only elite units here.) they are going to be super dangerous to you. (By the way the Gentleman is coming, probably once you guys defeat the Troupe of Elite Lizard-like things (by the way they aren't Lizardmen at all, these are a race I created for Graterras, but I am not telling you what they are yet lol. you will remain in the dark a tad longer lol.)
  10. The Large Creature leading the group shouted loudly in his strange tongue. A black haze appeared towards the edge of the the phalanx, glowing the same Black as his sword. As soon as the Rocks touched the edges, they vaporized. It was an Anti-Magic bubble as any of the spell casters would know (though strangely tinted black, they are normally off-white in colour from the outside.). They continued marching down the street, the bubble slowing following them, radiating from the Officer himself. The goblins had mostly fled at this point, being scared out of their wits. THe only foes that really remained were Green Orcs, and the strange Lizard-like folk.
  11. psssh tis fine. Most of the basic magic doesn't really need it. But it is up to you how ya cast so whatever floats your boat.
  12. Okay, just want you guys to slow down the posts a bit, want some of the other PCs to get some airtime, and since they aren't on right now just need to give it a bit of a rest (there will be a point where I separate the groups since I fell there are a bit too many for it to all be one group the entire time. But that will come later.)
  13. The goblins started freaking out on the rooftop across from Helzebeth, the Wolf was their main concern as they all drew crude blades and tried to lop at the Wolf. Hunter easily dodged the most of the blows, be able to seriously wound a few few of them in the process. The next rooftop over all the goblins aimed directly for Helzebeth. At least like 10 Goblins archers all trained their bows in that direction. Releasing a flaming volley of arrows straight at the Rooftop where Helzebeth was standing. Down below more strange Lizard Creatures poured out from down below. A group of 10 came from the south, headed by a huge one. He was still black in colour, but was bigger than the others, He wielded a huge Curved sword that edge had a sinister blackish glow. He barked out in a strange lanaguage, as his men formed a Phalanx. They began to march down the street, 5 shields above, 5 out in front. Taking up the entire street it wouldn't be possible to flank them from the street level. Let alone would Helzebeth be able to fire at them until they were already upon her comrades. The Officer donned a Simple helm, that had a Dragon's Face etched into the front, he began marching behind his force, moving quickly for a creature his size.
  14. oh yea go ahead for now the chaos for the fight will be awesome. Once he arrives much different story, but for now your are fighting pretty weak enemies, since this is a kinda expedition force, the Gentleman is only around because he believes if you are going to test something, you might as well be the one to test it before handing it out to other people.
  15. The goblin fell easily, with no way to easily defend himself since he threw his spear. (Lesson Today Kids: Don't throw the only weapon you have, it leads to an untimely death.). The Three Charging Lizard-like Creatures all converged on Sigurd, all wildly swinging their Kilijs at him. A few goblins appeared on the rooftops, and started to fire arrows down. (not at any target right now, they are peppering the area, so be careful where you dodge ).
  16. Yea, it is fine. In the current combat I think you will be fine, but then again once the Gentleman arrives you all are super duper screwed, however your characters have no Idea he is on his way, let alone who he even is at this point. (This is all planned by the way, so nobody will lose a character right away, but it will still be hellish, and pretty nasty situation let me tell you lol.) So have fun until he gets there since it will take a little while.
  17. Magni charged into the fray beside his father, his hammer coming down to bring Righteous Fury. Light sparked off of it has he hit The second Black-Scaled Creature, knocking his blow off track. Xavier had one more blow less to worry about. Somewhere in the Enemy Hoard The Gentleman noticed a few scout fleeing back to the backlines. "What are you running from you Idiot?" he barked. "There are strong peoplessss in the town, mesa want to tell you abouts it isss all." said the scout, an actual Lizardman. "Hmm, sounds like fun. Good thing I decided to join the fray huh Haster?" The Gentleman scoffed. "I guess Master, seems like we gots a bunch of cowards for an army." Haster said, laughing. "Oh and a parting gift for you friend, no one in my army flees, even to tell me information." said the Gentleman. He raised his hand as Black Energy formed, he shot it towards the scout. When the Black Mist touched him, nothing happened at first, but then he started to swell at an alarming pace. It kept happening until the scout literally exploded, a painful death indeed. The others around were only retaught a lesson. Never cross The Gentleman.
  18. No they don't have to be. It is just more style appropriate. Once again there is nothing stopping you from using a Crossbow, that is only listed in the Mountaineer thing because they don't have the space inside small Mountain Caverns to use a Longbow, by any means. On the Knife and Dual-wielding thing, you can fight with 2 weapons, the one in your less dominate hand however must be smaller than your dominate one. Basically, if you have a Longsword in one, your other hand can't have a Longsword in it as well. You could eventually learn to wield to same length weapons but it would take awhile. Knife Throwing to me isn't really a necessary skill as you have a superior Ranged weapon already, but it can be useful in a pinch (like if an enemy jams your crossbow or breaks it if a Longbow). Ranger's are warriors remember, while their not running around wielding Greatswords or 2 huge swords, they make up for their little bit worse Melee skills with Ranged combat skills. So in short, Dualwielding, yes if off-hand weapon is smaller than the Mainhand (and I am the judge of that.) Knife Throwing, yes, but remember it is a desperation move. If you end up in a situation where you need to use this, you might not get out. Might is the keyword there. and cool cool Aqua. I just get real impatient and don't want people to lose interest so I don't like to wait long for people to reply if they haven't. Hope you understand dude lol.
  19. The flaming blade crunched into the Beast's Arm, a sickly sweet Cinnamon smell rose into the air as it's skin burned. It swung it's Kilij wildly trying desprately to hit the Cinder Knight. The second also swung. One of the goblins threw a crude spear towards him as well. A hatchet went flying past Xavier's head, it was Odin's. It landed Squarely in the face of the Creature he struck with his blade, slaying it. Odin drew another hatchet out of his waistcoat as he turned back to those in the Inn. "Let's get out there and fight!" shouted the dwarf as he went to try and backup Xavier. The Green Orcs and the other Strange Lizard-like people started to charge to meet their brethren.
  20. I did, I was typing something up for it, but got interrupted lol. There is definitely Sue Qualities in it though (for me anyway.) Since his Personality collides with itself. One can't be Merciless, and Compassionate, it makes no sense. I know it says indirectly, but one isn't indirectly Compassionate, that is something you know you are doing, not something that can be done by accident. With the background, I doubt he would even be able to be compassionate anymore after the shit he has been trough. I don't like the backstory much either, as he has a revenge plot against people we can only assume are dead. His Hatred being his strength will not allow him to interact with anyone properly IMO. Vindictive, Hate filled characters are not good for RPing in most situations. If they start that way they have only one goal, see my revenge plot to the end, and they just become about that revenge plot. It isn't very good for characters in RPs because it is hugely One-Dimensional, and they cannot grow, while that hatred and revenge plot Leech off their very essence as a character, usually turning them into a monster or worse. They can achieve no real growth while the revenge plot is still going on, and rarely will afterwards. I have a lot of problems with Revenge plots as they are highly toxic to RPs, and I have experience with it ruining an entire D and D campaign rather quickly. It quickly became about that character, and frankly, revenge driven characters when thrust into the Limelight show all their flaws and how boring of characters they are. Trust me steering away from Revenge plots is a good idea if you want a believable character to RP. Trust me on this, I know what I am talking about lol.
  21. Xavier was met instantly by two creatures he had never seen before. They were like Lizardmen but they had Jet Black scales. They had just torn apart a guard as he charged into their midst. Three more appeared from around the corner, along with 2 Goblins and 3 Green Orcs. The two closet to him both had ugly swords, curved and made for the dicing of limbs and bone, with huge weights at the top of the blades for easy cutting. They both came down at him quick and hard. "Thank you all of you, now we need to get going." Odin said inside the bar. Suddenly a crash came from the back of the Inn, must have been a window breaking. All of a sudden a Wolf appeared as if from nowhere, he wasn't harmed in anyway other than a few superficial cuts on his muzzle from leaping through the window. He lay at Helzebeth's Feet, waiting for his master to give him a command. ((Quick Note for Zephyr, I have limited control over Hunter. Very few times will I make him react certain ways but just keep in mind this can happen. As a Wild animal he doesn't always listen to command. I will almost never have to use this, so don't worry too much. He is definitely 100% under your control now that I delivered him to the Inn.)) Somewhere In the Middle of the Enemy Hoard. "Master! Casualties are climbing Milord, it looks like the test is going well for our little ragtag force, hehehehe." Scoffed a small Red Imp. "Shut it Haster (Has-ter). This is only a small village, not like they have much of a chance. This is beyond boring. It is much to easy to slaughter these people." said a larger figure dressed in terrifying armour. Half of his Armour, was an angelic effigy, the very likeness of Holy armour. The other half was the Hideous form of a Demon, they met exactly at the center. The chest had the Image of a bleeding heart, that had a matching brother on the man's Shield. His sword looked like an Angel's wing, Curved, Deadly. He watched as the battle raged, as his menagerie of forces moved about the battlefield. He wondered if this run proved anything, he wondered if destroying a village mattered. He finally decided he would be destroying it anyway, best kill them now and get them out of the way. "Haster, I feel like getting closer to the battle, mind riding in with me?" The Terrifying Knight said. "As long as you keep me from harm, I don't mind." Haster said a crazy giggle accompanying it. "By the way Gentleman, your title is so hard to say in a normal context, why do you have to call yourself The Gentleman? Makes talking to you a pain in my behind." said Haster as they began to ride towards Brinestar. ((Though I used man to describe him earlier, it is entirely unknown what The Gentleman actually is due to his ridiculous Armour obscuring like everything about him. People reckon he isn't even a creature from this plane of existence, but nobody really knows. He is a humanoid though, which is the only reason I used man to describe him.))
  22. and yea Murdoc, I never said you couldn't use Fire defensively, it works, it just isn't as good at Defense as Earth. (And the reason I said it is Offensive, is because even a shield of fire can still be used to attack someone. And also Murdoc that is how I sort of intended Cinder Knights to be, Pyron is not only the God of Fire but the god of Passion. They just have a Passion for beating the snot out of dudes, kinda like Berserkers in their own way. (They even have that special trance that they get later once they become more powerful, similar to a berserker, though not as powerful as the Battle Trance a Berserker has. Basically they are Berserkers with magic, but they take a bit of a hit to their offensive side on the Physical Fighting side, but make up for it with lots of pretty Fire effects.)
  23. So if you are my mentor of evil.......that means you are The Emperor, and I am Darth Vader huh? Well hopefully I don't get horribly disfigured and have to kill you at some point, cause that would suck......a lot.
  24. *CRACK* The sound of thunder permeates the bar. Rolling violently, it sounded as if the storm was close. Odin had a bad feeling he couldn't shake, something felt wrong, very wrong. The bar fell silent for a second all that could be heard was the thunder. Then out of nowhere, screams from outside. Something was happening. Odin got up to rush to the window, but then the door flew open. A man in Simple Plate Armour stood in the doorway bloodied, with at least 5 arrows sticking out of his chest. He clutched a bloody stump where his arm once was with his only hand. "We're under attack!" He screamed as he collapsed inside the bar. Odin quickly shut the door. "Magni! I am going to need your help." Odin said as he drew a Hatchet from his waistcoat. The Dwarf Paladin, or Magni, came to his father's side drawing out a simple hammer and a shield. "I know a lot of you are new around here, but we are going to need your help in the fight, and even if you don't, there is no way out of here, without fighting." Odin said, his happy demeanor gone from his face. Odin had no idea what they would face out there, but he knew it wouldn't be pretty.
