Reinhardt kinda explodes fucking everything. The only issue with him is due to his BST being low... he actually ruins your arena scroing ((cause the scoring is stupid and works off BST. A.k.a, Fury just bieng on a character makes them worth more points to you.)) as a unit though he chews through a lot of stuff and hits hard. His speed is absymal ((to the point you want -Speed.)) but he always doubles since esstienally... he has a Brave Tome. ((does the same thing.)) On that point... it's true there is a trade off there, but there's jsut as many trade-offs with Desperation. Threaten Skills are sorta...not great on melee units anyway. You have to get hit the turn prior if anything is to be in range which might be too late. I jsut think that the potienal to have 4x hits etc... and functionally the same exact functionality of Desperation witout having to be low on HP... just makes Brave Weapons the superior option. I jsut don't think Desperation is that broken. Lyn has it, and while she's good she's not top tier in sword units. Desperation is jsut not that good man. It's good but it's not broken by any means. Like... it jsut isn't. -

Desperation probably won't be that crazy... it only works on your phase and you have to have the natural speed to double already otherwise it doesn't do anything. Brave Weapons actually fundamentally do the same exact thing on any number of HP ((since both attack go first.)) and any speed. So Brave Weapons themselves are basically better than Desperation. Desperation isn't that crazy really. It's better in conjunction with things that get benefits from being low ((like Defiant Attack)) or things that are already blazing fast but can take a hit and not crumple. I also highly highly doubt weapons are transferable... cause the unique weapons exist on a lot of 5*s and I don't see them making those transferable. ((cause like... giving people's signature weapons to other people seems beyond silly.)) -
Out of targets to the south, Rayne decided to head back over towards the mages... and... that one guy they were helping. Why were they helping this runaway again? Well... I guess they should help him get out of this kind of life. It was nothing good, so it made sense seeing as they needed to stop these brigands anyway. To battle! Rayne flew in aiming a javelin right for who she perceived to be the leader of this little operation. He was yelling a lot after all. Move to M1, Throw a Javelin at Scion's stupid face.

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth

Mega Star Cannon, Anemone. She nearly stumbled at the door flying open. But she didn't despite her tiny frame. She managed to stay on her feet. She already saw Merlin fly past her. "This... is new. And not good new... bad new. Bad bad bad bad bad bad baaaaaaaaaad new." she thought to herself. She was regretting everything right now... how she handled things. Despite what she was saying she displayed her own recklessness perhaps. Maybe she was a hypocrite. Or maybe... this was all the more serious then any of them thought. Anemone didn't know if she should be terrified of Merlin... or pity her. It was... strange feeling given the circumstance, the power of her stride what was seething right underneath her skin. However, Anemone didn't feel frightened of her. She wasn't scared by this... in fact the display for whatever reason, it had the opposite effect on her. Anemone produced her staff from her pocket, flicking it with the familiar motion. The fluid one that extended it to the entirety of it's length within in instant. Practice honed... probably as much care put into it as her own magic. Perhaps a stupid and silly waste of time. But, Anemone thought to have a understanding of even the tools with which she worked her magic, as silly as it may be. After all, her staff was nothing more than the handle of a feather duster in reality. She had only removed the head to make it easier to store. It was nothing fancy and certainly wasn't proper but... she never really thought of changing it. The staff was hers and the one she'd always worked with. It was just a part of her magic now. She knew everything about it. It's weight, it's thickness... everything. It was the focus from which her magic flowed. Or perhpas it was entirely unimportant and just ritual she was tied to. She didn't know but she also didn't really care. There was things to be done still. Someone to stop, people to save. She followed Merlin quickly not really leaving much distance. She moved with as much purpose as her mentor did. For, while her anger hardly bubbled outwards, a quiet rage burned. One angry at what kind of person could do... what ever the fuck this lab was for to but mere children. Maybe she wasn't as powerful as Merlin, she'd probably never be. But, she was going to do what she could to end this, to put to a stop to this injustice. There was too much delaying. It was well past time to act. So, she followed suit, keeping up with Merlin as best as she could. -
Now the Royal Guards found themselves pincered. Stuck between assiting the back line or helping... who was she helping over there again? Somebody... She couldn't remember who though. She figured that Darius's support would be enough. Woe be the one who trifled with a dark mage. So, Rayne set her sights instead to the brigands trying to sneak in from the rear. She would unleash the sting of justice upon these Ne'erdowells. Starting with the sneak thief. Move to P8, unleash the payload ((use Iron Jav on the smelly thief.)). Canto to N7.

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth

Super Star Cannon, Anemone "No duh you fucked up. We already have enough things to deal with and you do that. You had no idea what could've happened and now he's on the loose out there on his own. This situation wasn't under control and you've introduced a new element of risk to it. We need to secure the area before we can save people. That boy might not have died because of you frying the machine... but he's on his own now, with a power he doesn't understand. People are going to get hurt, whether it is him or other lives that will be lost. YOU NEED TO THINK BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING!!! There's consequences for being reckless. You should know this, you practice magic. If you just do and don't think bad things happen. If this boy ends up dead... it's your fault, and I'll never forgive you for it." she burst out all of a sudden. She caught up to the stream of information being brought back by Cheryn's words. "We still need to help our allies, we still have 2 members that are out there somewhere... we didn't need another element out of our control. So it wasn't a bit... It was a lot." She was steaming mad. "Let's get going... we have even more problems to deal with now thanks to carelessness." Anemone said storming out of the room. Her small size didn't really hamper the impact. The fact she was angry... would've been alien enough to the rest of them. She'd never reacted this way to something before. She never confronted someone before. One would think she was incapable, or she was never paying enough attention... but... it seemed she was quite capable. -

Mega Star Cannon, Anemone. Anemone... just retreated into herself. She didn't respond to anything that just happened. So much happened in that small span of time she couldn't process it all. It overloaded her senses, and in defense, she recoiled from the world. She collapsed, her knees slamming into the floor. Her face full of some kind of emotion. Or perhaps, so many of them that it was impossible to tell what she was even feeling. She was feeling to much herself to even understand it. As if she was feeling several intense emotions as one. She felt heavy as if a weight was crushing her downward. She looked on the verge of tears... but also the verge of screaming, laughing, and many other things as well. She wasn't sure how to react to this, she didn't know how she was supposed to feel. -

Mega Star Cannon, Anemone She wasn't really buying it. That answer was pitifully weak coming from someone like Merlin. Anemone knew there was a lot going on in this situation and she might've have been pressed for time but it as flimsy at best. Anemone knew it would collapse under the slightest amount of scrutiny. If she probed further, she knew she'd find something. Something Merlin omitted... or something. She didn't really believe it was something as simple as "I personally don't want it to." it had to be more than that. Perhaps... perhaps it wasn't though. AHHHHHH!!! it was bugging her so much. The disappointment was readily clear on her face, a rarity from the tiny purple mage. it'd have been one of few times Merlin saw what she could call something more than a vague expression on Anemone's face. Her ponytail from it's previous jovial state was now hanging much lower, drooping just a bit low. She was about to blurt it out and express what she was feeling, when she saw out of the corner of her eye, something move. She turned slightly enough to focus on what it was. It was Cheryn... doing something to the medical equipment. Was she... casting her magic into it? If Anemone recalled the only thing she remembered Cheryn being capable of was... Radiation... "What are you doing?!? We have NO idea if that's the only thing keeping him alive right now!" she'd not be able to cast quickly enough to stop her with her magic so instead Anemone leapt at her. Trying to get her to stop the reckless course of action, she dive tackled Cheryn trying to bring her to the ground, though without hurting her or breaking the equipment. it'd probably not go quite as planned she as she couldn't account for Cheryn's actions. -
Meredith sat there for what seemed like an eternity. In reality it was probably but a few silent moments. However, silence was where the demons lived. The whispering voices, the echoes of the past. In silence lingered the time to think, to reflect... to dread. To think about how you failed. To think about how broken you really were. How you were a liar. How you weren't cut out for this... how fate was cruel. How it's gnarled boney fingers tugged at your heart... toying with it as it laughed at your misery. How it turned the only dream you had into a twisted nightmare. How you didn't deserve to be here. That your life was not but a cruel showing of the hand of fate. It held all the cards. It was her fault that ugly gnarled beast burned their whole hand. They discarded it into the wind. As if the lives it was playing with were meaningless. Though... perhaps they were now as fate's plan had come to close. It made her what she was. Their parts in the narrative of the world was over now... as their blood stained her hands... her soul. She couldn't stop staring at it. It was... dried there, old. She tore at her fingers, trying to peel at the flakes, but as she did there was only more dried blood beneath. She didn't know what to do. She visibly jumped. Shaken from what she was feeling. The voice had shocked her out of it, rather violently. It wrested her from the dark corners of her mind, but she was still disoriented. She tried to make sense of it, catch her bearing. It took a moment. She didn't recognize the voice at first... it having startled her awake. But, given the moment to parse what was really happening, she knew it to be Serene's. For whatever reason this thought comforted her. Had it been anyone else... she... she didn't know aht she'd do. It probably not have been good though. It was.. she could feel how it would've went. She exhaled, pushing the feelings welling in her gut out of her body. She still felt as if she would vomit at any moment, as the vitriol... the noxious fumes sat in her gut. She instinctively put her hand over her gut... right over the where the burn would've been. She couldn't feel it through the metal of her armour. That was probably a good thing. It took her longer to answer than one probably would think, so long that if she hadn't start to speak when she did... someone might say their name to catch their attention. It was right in that moment she found her voice again. "Hey Firecracker..." she said... in a groggy lethargic voice, as if she wasn't all there yet even still. She looked back at her, not really noticing or caring that she wasn't clothed. There where just too many other things on her mind. Too much other information to be parsed and sorted through that it didn't register at all. The only thing that did was that she was now there. It helped to some degree. She felt something rise to the surface at the realization she was really there... but she didn't know what it was. It had some name she'd probably forgotten, or perhaps she wasn't in the state of mind to recall. It felt almost foreign to her, this feeling. Like she'd never felt it before in her all of her life. But, she knew that wasn't true. Despite it's otherworldly feel... it felt familiar. She couldn't stop picturing the lake she had always been fond of as a child. How the water felt on her skin... she felt the feeling intensely enough... she touched her face with her hand that was free. The one that wasn't resting on her stomach, above the horrid mark she bore. She felt the cold of the metal and it reminded her she was still there, sitting in a field, having felled a tree with a lance. She barely remembered doing it... she hadn't intended to... She wasn't sure how she got here anymore. Whatever had come over her had passed for now. She closed her eyes as she let her body just fall to the ground... she hadn't passed out, merely she was just too tired to hold herself upright anymore. "Perhaps... but I never do things the easy way..."
-
Meredith got up around 4, like always. She was a bit of an early riser. It was fine really as she could get in some practice while the others were still sleeping. She was particularly focused today. She was mad at herself for letting Dash get hurt as she had. She said she'd protect him, and while she kept him from dying, she didn't keep him from harm. It's why she didn't promise. She knew she'd fail to uphold it. She always did. She grasped her lance, surely her knuckles had turned white under the gauntlets. She beat against the tree full force. The haft of the spear she was holding groaned miserably as she didn't let it have any rest. It was probably vaguely noticeable from camp, a soft echo in the distance. A ringing of metal against wood. It probably sounded ethereal... eerie. Unsettling more than anything else. She yelled, striking harder and harder at the oak. She made deeper and deeper wounds into the side of the tree, thoroughly damaging the bark on the outside. She even pierced it's flesh releasing small amounts of sticky sap. It flew in the pale morning sun, catching the reflections and faintly glimmering as it flew from the stoic oak. She just kept wailing at the tree, putting all of her might into every swing that she could muster. Swinging faster and faster... releasing something she hardly knew was still lingering within her. And with the last swing, the spear broke in twain. it snapped like dry bone the haft no loner able to keep up with the abuse Meredith put it through. But... it had soldiered on long enough to do soemthing she never thought she would. The stoic oak made one last pitiful groan. It was the first time it even spoke or showed a sign that it felt any of that. But... suddenly it started to tumble backwards... she felled it. The tree tumbled downwards it's emerald top falling swiftly from the heavens despite it's size. It landed with a crash like a giant's footstep, caused the ground to quake ever so slightly. A great cacophonous crash, almost as if it were thunder, was the response. A mist of dew rose from the leaves as it was released from the crash. Meredith just sat down, tiried from whatever that display was. She just looked at the sky, not really sure what to do with herself.

Beau looked at the man. He usually hated humans. But, he saw the look in his eyes and felt in some way... a kindred spirit. He snorted as if to say "Oi... these idjits force you to help them against your will too? If I had it my way... I'd not lift a 'oof for anyone but the girlie'. Blast the rest of this lot. I'd help ye get away from 'em... but I'm just an 'orse. Well... a winged 'orse, but still not that special." Rayne suddenly felt revitalized. Though she wasn't sure why... that music was shite. She shrugged. She wasn't sure what really happened regardless. She looked around to see the newcomer. A bigger burly man, dressed all strange like with striking red hair. Even if his outfit was a bit garish, it did really make his hair pop out really well, so some style points~ "Oh... you're a new one. Thank you for the help. You have really nice hair, it's a wonderful red and it's really pops with that garb of black your wearing. You look rather striking. Fierce!" she said before flying off towards the Thief from earlier, she was about to finish the job she started. Same Exact Action progression as last move ((after all, if it ain't broke don't fix it.))
-
Suddenly the enemies charged to where Rayne had just been. Why? Their leader said something about a spy...? Rayne couldn't remember a spy with their group. It must have been someone that defected and starting helping them or something. No matter. Whatever the cause their foe overextended going after whoever they were after. It was the perfect time to jam a needle in their spokes. To hem their forces to a much more manageable level. She would strike, for great justice! Beau snorted. He unlike Rayne remembered the blue haired spy. He had a bit of a tendency to pick on him. His tent was the most fun to poop in after all. But as much as he deviled the guy, he didn't hate him. Somewhere in there he was a good person... even if he was insufferable. Further, he wasn't about to let others pay for his past. Whatever Bel had done to cause this... well Beau hoped it jsut wouldn't drag Rayne into anything too dangerous. He snorted as if to say "Fine... cannae leave the fool to his devices for 5 bloomin' seconds before he causes trouble. Best bail 'im out. So, if you say so girlie... I'm wit' ya. I always am." in response to Rayne spurring him forward. Move to L6, attack Thief 5 with Slim Lance. Canto to N6
-
That must've been the thing Darius was worried about. His magic. Rayne didn't really know much about dark magic but she could more or less confirm the rumors just by seeing it. It was indeed a force that controlled. However, it didn't really scare her. She believed in Darius. His ability to not let it consume who he was. She had fighting to do and what not. She saw a thief hiding just around yonder building. Perhaps it was time to say hello and test out her new spear. Move to N6, give Thief 2 a nasty needle prick. ((attack with Slim Lance.)) Canto to P6

" Good, paperwork suuuucks. Also, I'm pretty sure they are aware, but yes I'll go with that if they ask. Well... if I remember too. You should probably keep that one on hand." It was true, Rayne was bad at remembering. It'd probably be for the best if Clarisse did keep it in mind. She was, probably well aware of that fact though. *** "Oh hey! That's them over there! Or... some of them at least. Some must be still out and about!" Rayne able to pick out Cade from far aware. She easily remembered what the girl looked like due to her need to design her coat. She burned the image into her mind so that she wouldn't forget. It was a great hook to remember at least something. It made her remember that she found the perfect thread. She waved at her before running up to her. "Cade! Hey! Hey! Hey! I found the perfect thread for your jacket!" she seemed like an excited little puppy almost the way she was bouncing up and down. She held the spool up so that Cade could not only see it but witness that it sparkled like fire, just the same as her jacket did. And Rayne's eye, perfectly matched the colour. It was... uncanny what her sense of colour was. In her excitement though she sorta forgot to mention Clarisse... oops?
-
"Ah, stellar~" Rayne'd be mad at the instantiation she couldn't take care of herself but 1. She didn't really care, 2. It was true and 3. She was asking this cause of it anyway. She was glad though, but now she was going to have to convince the others. "So, how do we convince them. Hmmm? Firstly we should start with your title. What do you do for me? We could just keep going with Guard Guard but that sounds too silly to be professional." she said placing her index finger to her chin. She quickly added under her breath loud enough that Clarisse could hear it, I'mma still call you that though hehe, between us. "But, assistant? Hmmm... sounds too much like you do paperwork or something. Who wants to do that? Ew. Professional Person Puncher? You must have a pretty killer left hook if that bar was the way it was after that kerfuffle. Or maybe that was the mini-tornado's doing..." she trailed off thinking about the tiny woman. Did she say something important? Rayne remembered her saying something vaguely important... but she couldn't place a finger on it. Oh well... she'd probably never see her again. She also vaguely remembered that kid. Probably never see him ever again either, thanks for taking the bullet though buddy! "Hmmm bodyguard? That's an actual job. And it makes you sound gruff! Grrrr!" Rayne did her best flex to accompany the growl. "It also still has the word guard in it so you can still be my Guard Guard! Hmmm, it's perfect! That sound like a plan to you?"
-
"Well... It's just this past little bit you've been very helpful to me. I'm sure you noticed but I'm very forgetful and I get lost in my head a lot." she rubbed the back of her calf with her other foot. she looked a bit nervous in all honesty. "Normally I have a pegasus, his name is Beau. He's very cute, but he doesn't like people much so I can't bring him into places with a lot of people. Normally he keeps me focused. But, if how I met you was any indication I get lost easily. But when you're with me I can focus better. My ma always told me if someone's presence alone was enough to make positive change, they were someone you should keep with you. I know you're not with the Royal Guard and I'm not sure I can even really convince them but... would you stay with me? It's very helpful having someone I can rely on when going into cities since I can't bring Beau. Hehe... and you're kinda cute besides~ I might be able to work something out and make sure you're paid. Even if they don't make you part of the unit I'll hire you! That should work right? I don't have any money right now though. I overpaid a bit for that thread... It was rare and I wanted to help out that man's business for giving up something that special. He seemed nice..."
-
"I hope so, that means it'll be tough for us to get to where we need to go too. Hopefully it sorts out." Rayne said staring down at her feet. She stopped rather abruptly. She was almost as red as a cherry. Her cheeks nearly matching the colour of her ruby red eyes. She held her left arm with her right as she rocked back and forth from her hell to her toes. It seemed as if she was going to say something else. "Hey... you mind if I ask you something? It might be a little silly though..."

I've not used him either but from looking at his basic set up. Bulky for a Sword unit having pretty high HP((49 at worst 55 at best supplemented by having +HP for a skill.)) Tyrfing is a unique weapon ((meaning 16 base attack)) that grants +4 def when in combat with 50% or lower hp. Has Rally Speed. Brash Assault bypasses low speed when on lower amounts of hp on attacks. The problem here is that well... he doesn't have much else going for him. Chrom is probably the better stirhgt Red tank ((that isn't armoured)) as he has Defiant Defense for +7 defense when under half he also is a Falchion User which has renewal on it for free giving him passive health gain. Seliph himself has a lot of ideas that don't mesh. His defense + Brash Assault scream bulky offensive dude. However... Rally Speed doesn't really help further this idea. It's sorta.. weirdly there. If he had an offensive skill that did damage he could take better advantage of the fact he's getting wacked all the time and have some super powerful turns etc. In short he's usable. But if you have other sword options ((even 4* at times.)) maybe look into them first. -
"Hmmm, yes. My mother much prefers if a customer comes personally. It's easier to get measurements that way. Lemme tell ya, working from measurements that someone else took is a nightmare. And usually the nobles are wrong cause they rush their servants to get them done and they do it incorrectly and it's just a pain. Just better to do them by hand then worry about other folks managing to do them correctly." She nodded. She kept admiring the ember coloured thread in her hand. It wasn't the kind of thing you just found everyday. It was rare, special. Something that glittered like fire... like the sun. Perhaps she was just so enamored by it cause the Marigold was often a symbol of the sun. In fact the Marigold Guild's crest was the very flower in the center of a warm embracing sun. She realized then that she did have to be somewhere, thinking of Cade's jacket was what reminded her she needed to meet up with the others. "Oh, yes... we should. I, think we're supposed to meet by some fountain. Thanks for helping me by the way. It means a lot to me. You've been a very helpful Guard Guard~"
-
"Ah, yes it's perfect!" Rayne exclaimed. She just held the spool in the palm of her hand and just admired it's colour for awhile. She just stared at it happily seeming to just forget that she hadn't yet purchased it or that she was even standing there in a store. Luckily, she seemed to have been the only customer at the time. It was perfection given form. It was just what she was looking for. "I'm not done yet but if you could hold that for me it's be much appreciated~" she said while going back to just dumping all kinds of things into a basket. It took her quite the amount of time looking over everything. "That should be all, thank your for your service. And thank you for this thread it was perfect. From one tailor to another it was most helpful, and I'm glad you shared some of your good stock with me. This can't have been just something easy to give away." Rayne handed the man a pouch filled with the last of her remaining Vespers. 500 in count. "Consider it a gift form the Marigold guild.~ May you succeed in your endeavors, and your drive deliver your from failure."
-
"It's nice to have something to remember. My life wasn't that easy, never was. That trainin' was tough... difficult, and hard. Gerson wasn't an easy mentor. He wasn't some soft old man that went easy on me. But, I still remember it fondly. I just remember at the end of the day always going for a swim in the lake. He'd always hang around on the shore. Sometimes I'd be too tired, but, we'd always go there to end the day." Meredith looked at Serene again, not really being phased by her scars too much. After all, Meredith had plenty wounds form blades and other weapons herself, but... none of them meant something to her like that burn. They were just part of the job. But, that burn was something else. "Water reminds me of that. I suppose the way you feel about fire I feel about water. I feel something... different when I'm in it. It feels strange not being within it having touched it within awhile. I suppose understand your draw, though I'm not fond of the fact yours can cause you harm. I... just worry about that, I don't want any harm to come of you of your own vilotion. I don't want people to get the wrong idea."
-
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'm in heaven!" Rayne exclaimed a little loudly. She didn't shout but passerby probably would've heard her for sure. She picked up thing after thing inspecting it closely and quite thoroughly. If the others had seen her, they'd probably notice this had been the most excited and active Rayne had even been. Her full attention was grasped as she looked around at everything she could see. It was almost impossible to keep up with how blindingly fast she was moving. She suddenly stopped or a moment out of nowhere and took a deep breathe. "I really needed this. Feels good. So good~" "You have some rather high quality goods here, where'd you get them? Them seem top quality for an independent I'm actually quite surprised there aren't more people shopping here. Like... they are entirely missing out. You get your stick from a local guild or perhaps via import? I hear the Marigolds have rather cheap rates for supplying independents. They like to give to the little guys after all." she talked to the shopkeep while still looking over the stock. She had issue finding what she was looking for. Cade's jacket was a rather unique and odd colour. She wasn't going to be satisfied with a thread colour that didn't match. So she perused the wares. Her eye for colour didn't find anything that matched so perhaps the shopkeep had some specialty thread somewhere else not on display. "Hey, you do happen to have any ember coloured thread? I know it's a tall order, and it's probably not common but it's something that's really important to me. I have a friend of mine that I did to do a piece for and I need it. Nothing else will do. It should sparkle like fire! Do you have anything like that?"
