Snow, The Lady Ashford. "I guess if there's any time to press the attack it's now." This wasn't going so badly. Perhpas she could at least somewhat rely on these mortals. She still wasn't looking forward to it, but they were at least competent. She didn't really understand some of their abilities, but... she didn't need to understand all the magic. She also didn't understand the warrior who fought with her butt. Was it really that effective of a weapon? One's backside? She'd have to inquire in the art of butt attacking... to see just what it was capable of. "DIE!!!" a harsh winter wind whipped up out of nowhere as suddenly Snow rocketed forward, letting the wind guide her body, and more importantly, her strike. activate Galeforce, Use Basic Attack, Winter's Fang (melee), versus the newly formed Shadow Monster ((the one that Pluck is currently creating.).

I think I said in there somewhere that I wasn't really sure how on earth to evaluate the little guy just cause it was such a strange mon. I did forget to entirely mention Baneful Bunker which was pretty daft of me seeing as it's in essence more powerful than Spiky Shield; Spiky Shield only doing the contact damage the first time and then they are probably going to play around it a hell of a lot better. Whereas Baneful's Poison Keeps racking up passive damage. It might not be as much as Toxic poison but it's enough to cancel out lefties etc... so it's doing soemthing. Water Poison is definitely an interesting Typing and I think Toxapex will end up probably being UU. Reason? It's basically a more defensive Qwilfish. Both have the same typing and Qwil is mainly used as a Hazard Setter. ((moreso using Spikes than T Spikes, but sometimes it uses both.)) Their offenses are even comparable as Qwil tends to run Scald > Waterfall, and it's base SpAtk is 55 which is pretty damn close to the stat Toxapex is attacking off of. They have a difference in how they function though as Qwilfish immediately does something with it's Intimidate and it allows it to switch in and find opportunities whereas Toxapex has to come in on something it walls. ((with those defenses it's probably possible but it's notable difference in their playstyles.)) However, as a result Toxapex is much easier to play the recovery game with keeping it healthy with it's ability, and it's access to recovery outside of things like Rest ((which aren't feasible for Qwilfish to run. It also notably has access to Pain Split, but we all know how unreliable that move is, so Qwilfish is just not in a space with reliable recovery.)) Since Toxapex seems to have a lot of what Qwilfish wishes it did ((though loses out on some things like Taunt that Qwilfish has... though it's not like Toxapex will outspeed anything it's trying to do that to and probably just find itself taunted itself anyway.)). So, in at a glance comparisons... I think it's better than Qwilfish therefore it will either be higher tier than it, or replace it. ALso been doing research, what would y'all reckon to Alolan Maro being a SpDef sponge? Being Ghost/Fire, it defs has to get Will-o-Wisp access and it's already decent Def stat of 110 is probably as high as it needs to be when counting Will-o so it should allow you to beef up that SpDef pretty hard. Ghost/Fire is also a pretty amazing typing in Defensive merits, with Immunites to Fighting and Normal and resisting Fire, Grass, Ice, Poison, Double resisting Bug, Steel and Fairy types. It's quite the gambit of types and it can even add an immunity to that if it opts for Lightningrod. You'd not really get shit out of the SpAtk buff, but that immunity is pretty nuts as it kinda... makes Maro-A immune to Volt-Switch and makes U-Turn do fuck all to it due to the x4 immunity allowing you to slap a burn on whatever they are going to try and switch in racking up passive damage or, if you can guess their switch, smack them with the appropriate move ((which will fucking hurt assuming it can still use Thick Club.)) in response. ANyone try him out at all? I'm kinda wanting to do so though not sure what to pair the guy with. I'd imagine making a F/W/G core around him might not be too bad an idea though. ((keep in mind... if above thing is common, I'm not really playing yet since I'm still doing research into the new mons and stuff before I teambuild. So, in what people are using currently I'm in a bit of a vacuum at the moment lol)) -

I looked into it a lot more and have been thinking around it but I just... don't think it'll be that useful. The thing has a rather shite typing in Psychic cause Psychic on it's own isn't really that amazing offensively or defensively. It's missing a lot of coverage moves, and has to rely on some really shitty low power moves to even obtain some of that coverage. For example it doesn't have Focus Blast access, in fact the only fighting move it has access to outside of Hidden Power... is Brick Break. It does get EQ but has to rely on it's weaker Physical attack for this with no way to boost it. Sadly it doesn't get Earth Power. It gets Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Automatize, Rock Polish ((same thing really.)), and Iron Defense in the way of boosting moves. The thing is it doesn't really have a lot of good ways to force pressure to be able to get in and use them. Things I can think of at glance and not really entirely merit on the whole meta-game but more just for starting points. I jsut think it doesn't really have an easy in to this Meta... when shit like Pheromosa are still around. It doesn't do all that well into Aegislash either though it has options to hit it in Dark Pulse and EQ. It also struggles with Dark Types in general... using it is goign to be a mighty uphill battle since finding it's tools and putting them together seems liek a herculean task. It's teammates will have to pick up a shitload o it's slack to the point I'm not even sure how feasible it is to even bother with trying to run. Hmm, maybe I'll work on something with it. I doubt I'm going to get much of anywhere tbh but might as well start off teambuidling with something stupid. It's just the me thing to do so... letsa go~ -
Huh, 777 rep. That's a thing. ((and since I rarely get any probably be there awhile.))

Buzzwole seems... awful tbh... the more I look at it the more it seems like it's just overshadowed by Mega Cross which is seemingly easier to utilize in a lot of ways. It's probably not that bad and I'm probably jsut dumb... but it doesn't look that apeealing to me tbh. Nekrozma seems... weird I figured it was Ubers jsut cause it seemed to be a Legend but I suppose I shouldn't have seeing as I just looked over it and wow... it... doesn't seem very good. Like... it seems real bad tbh... Also you're right on Lycarock-D just Sand Rush seems way way better than it's other abilites so I cna't really see using the others LOL. -

Yes, it prohibits all status moves. You can only use attacks. If it's classified as status, it's unusable. Think of it this way, Assault Vest permanently inflicts Taunt on the user. It cannot use any move that Taunt would not allow it too. -

Ye, Drain Punch would be a BIG boon for it since it's sorta in need of that recovery. I can see it getting it, but Gamefreak might jsut be like "Na." Also did a few more lists above. Mostly just cause I felt like it. ((also keep in mind I've yet to play much hence why my thoughts are rather all over the place XD. Haven't had the time to slap a team together.)) -

Definitely, I just thought it was an interesting thing it got for sure. ((I think I did mention probably won't be used for that bu it's an option. I think if it had better recovery options it'd be more viable in that role.)) Few More for funsies. Stealth Rock: Toxic Spikes: Spikes: Sticky Web: None, cause Gamefreak wants it to remain unviable garbage apparently. Volt Switch: U-Turn: -

Sun and Moon Tier Discussion [WARNING: SPOILERS]
Raindrop Valkyrie replied to Deleted User's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Wait, people think Xuriktree is good? I mean it's SpAtk is insane but it's coverage is complete ass. It's gets Electric moves and a few grass ones, Dazzling Gleam and like Signal Beam. Not the greatest coverage tbh. Most of it's stats otherwise are also nothing to write home about. I guess it gets Tail Glow ((which is pretty freaking overkill tbh)) but it's bulk isn't really inspiring at 83/71/71 and it's speed is pretty awful too at 83. I imagine it nearly always runs Scarf to get around it's painfully average speed... but I'm not sure I really like the idea of locking into Electric types moves with things like Lando-T and I running around which I'm sure they are. As solely Electric type, it's weak to Ground, and ye... only ground but Ground isn't exactly a great weakness to have, since... so many things run it as coverage. I was honestly thinking it'd be BL or lower jsut looking at it. Like just it doesn't look appealing at all. On Kartana, Not as sure I can be as solid in that one seeing as I've yet to play yet I'm going more on the stuff I've seen thus far etc... But I think one point folks do need to realize while it's attack is insanity... it's got pretty low BP moves, with literally nothing over 90, and really jsut not a lot in general it cause use. Looks like the extent of the coverage it gets is Grass, Steel, and Fighting. Which ain't shabby but as Jeri said it's pretty predictable in that manner since it really doesn't seem like it has the movepool to draw from for really any decent surprises. It's got a real hefty Leaf Blade! Shame Grass is resisted by a buttload of types... dunno I'm skeptical on it myself as to jsut how good it is. -

Heracross Reg: 80 HP 125 ATK 75 DEF 40 SpATK 95 SpDEF 85 SPD Heracross Mega 80 HP 185 ATK 115 DEF 40 SpATK 105 SpDEF 75 SPD Buzzswole 107 HP 139 ATK 139 DEF 53 SpATK 53 SpDEF 79 SPD So, just a quick grab of their stats and it'll be decently easy to compare them due to the fact that their typings are similar and even abilities in a way. So Buzzswole is basically Mega Heracross if they kept it with Moxie in a way. Beast Boost will mostly likely always work like Moxie which Heracross has access to. most of their relevant stats are similar, as their distributions are very close other than in the defenses. Actual Mega Heracross has much higher attack, though it loses Moxie, but also has access to Skill Link. It also has much more general bulk, Like it's barely less bulky on the defense side but it's a HELL of a lot bulkier on the Special Side ((it's has nearly double the effective defense on that side.)), However, Buzzswole is extremely tanky on the physical side if using Lunge as it always drops the opposing attack stat by a stage making it a lot harder to threaten with Physical attackers probably even those packing flying moves due to how bulky it's physical side is when taking Lunge into considerationas well as the possible Bulk Up on Buzzswole. They have similar levels of speed and coverage ((and high power coverage in Mega Cross's situation.)) though maredly Buzzswole does have a lot of niche options I suppose but their usages would be insanely narrow ((other than Maybe Ice Punch.)) cause they seem mostly like 80ish BP or lower, which work ye, but only tend to topple 4x weaknesses or frail mons unboosted. I dunno. I don't see Buzzswole being more than OU the same as Mega Hera, especially since it's forced into running Superpower, Dynamic Punch, Hammer Arm, or Focus Punch for a powerful Fighting STAB. THe only ones that don't drop your stats or have some drawback are Vital Throw, or Brick Break as it doesn't get access to Drain Punch etc... It has trouble finding a fighting move that doesn't have a big drawback to it ((unlike Pheromosa, who's got HJK.)) Dunno jsut of the Ultra Beasts, I feel like Buzzwole is... kinda one of the weaker ones due to another mon having a very similar niche to his without an insanely paper thin SpDef. I guess it hinges on just how strong Lunge is, but due to it not really helping with Buzzwole issues ((bad SpDef and painfully average speed.)) I just don't think he's that strong. Keep in mind, you ahve to actually get a kill for Beast Boost to go off. I think people are forgetting that yes, while Beast Boost is good it's not as crazy as first seems cause you need to pick it up and then survive your opponent attacking your possibly weakened mon. I don't think a lot of the slower UBs will get banned jsut since their speed is exploitable enough to deal with them much better. -
Huh, more regurgitated unfunny bullshit that's apparently what constitutes as humor these days. Hmmmm, lovely~

It's not really the point of what I'm saying. I guess it can be misinterpreted I suppose. I apologize if such is the cause as it's not really the goal of such. But like, I do this all the time on the server whenever memry is going on so it really shouldn't be an issue since no one's taken it as such. ((since you know it's not. I don't find it funny but it's not a comment on anyone who is doing it. Like have your fun I'm not going to stop you.))

"Ready for round two Beau? We're going to take another pass!" He snorted in reply. "Of course Girlie! Beau the Fabulous is always ready for battle!" he'd have said if he could talk. However, he had to settle for the snort of confidence. He stomped his front left hoof in approval, waiting for her to give the order for him to take off. Rayne clicked her heels against his side, and he took off to the skies once again. They would once again take a few sweeping passes on this pirate in the water. Move to S15 and send a few more Javelins this pirate's way. He looks like he could use a "present". ((holding onto Canto until I see the results of the move. Will use it once I see the results.))

Sun and Moon Tier Discussion [WARNING: SPOILERS]

It's mostly specially orientated with decent speed as it seems. It has access to T-Spikes and SR so... offensive Setter? It's pretty frail in the Defense side though it's got respectable enough an HP base it might take a neuatral hit, but 47 is mad low for a Def stat. It's 103 BS notably outpaces the "100Base speed" zone of things ((notably as a rock type allowing it to outspeed Mega Zards.)) In short, it's not Ubers material either imo... since I don't think it's quuuuite powerful enough but I really dunno jsut how well t can benefit from Beast Boost tbh... it doesn't never as much as the others cuase it's SpAtk stats is respectablly good but it's not like wel... you've seen the other ones LOL. -
Got ya, cuase the wording was odd so I wasn't sure... what it did. but good to know.

Isn't Shhhhh! Silence! skill a bit... strong for something that automatically applies a flat "cannot use actions for a turn"? It does a D6 but it scales off two stats in DEX and INT. LI gues sit's a bit different since Snow's is a stun but it only does SYN damage and also has to force a check. Dunno, jsut feel it benefitting from two scalings is a bit much seeing as how much I had to gimp my abilites for such and mine don't auto apply the status even.

"Huh... I suddenly feel much better for some reason. I wonder why?" Rayne thought to herself, not even noticing Chirya's presence. Rayne was rather in her own little world at the moment anyway. She, wasn't entirely sure what had happened back therbut she was surely not happy about it. That kid... he was just too young for this. But... he'd already been exposed to this. She hoped that he'd be okay. They were at least getting him away from criminals and their ilk. Those of the Royal Guard would be much more responsible and better examples for one as young as him if he must live this life. So, there was at least some small modicum of comfort in that. It wasn't much though. "Might as well used this surge of energy to help out some more." Rayne aimed Beau to go off the deck of the ship and flew out over the water. She saw a Pirate swimming, probably one that was going to try and sneak on board. She swooped down, poised and ready to make an attack against the the poor bastard. Move to to S15, drop the payload ((attack with Iron Jav)), and then Canto to Q15

Meredith took a deep breathe, things were decently stable on their side. She hoped the other group was doing well, but she didn't have much time to worry about them, as things were looking a little dicey for her group. Nothing they couldn't handle granted but something nonetheless. She saw Saffron in a bit of trouble up ahead, so, she moved forward running with her Javelin and hurling it directly at his chest. "Looks like you could use a hand, Saffron~" Meredith said, smiling, then the next second turned to the nearby Merc, her face twisting into a snarl. "DIE!!! SWORDS SUCK!" move to AB4, huck an Iron Javelin laden with sword based hatred at Merc 4

Well it's not like human-monster relations were all that good in Heartless to begin with seeing as most of those in Castle Dour had been dealing with just how shitty the Free Races were treatin' them in the first place along with the you know... siege of Castle Dour being a pretty much unprovoked attack. Like, regardless of her genetics or natural predisposition... she had nearly no reason to like humans regardless in her HS version. It's was humans that forced her to live in the sewers of Dour for like... a hundred years... etc... ((since the main bulk of the force was human.)) Let's just say... those that lived near or around Dour at the time had very very little reason to give humans even a chance, because most of them wouldn't give them one.

Heartless Souls. It was an overly ambitious project where players played Monsters rather than your typical fantasy stuff. Basically, it was like the reverse of D&D, where the players were playing the monsters, stuff like undead, demons, etc etc... instead of humans dwarves... and that sorta faire from typical High Fantasy. They also basically got near free reign to design abilities, classes, etc so it in some regards was similar to this system ((just without dice etc.)) at this point if I remade Heartless or redid it I'd probably run it using a system kinda like this probably.

The damage on Constellar is totally fine... it's even lesser than what Hiroki's Curtain Fire would've done at basic ((which was 1d4+SYN)), a skill that targets EXACTLY THE SAAAME Like, compare to other sheets before saying things are too high. Edit: got ya, still... as it stands for now, that's the base line... it's kinda hard to say that it's not okay when at the moment a scale exists that base does more than it does. I'm sure in the future if it gets knocked down abilities based in a similar scaling vain will be smacked down as well. But ye... we kinda have to go on a basis of what exists as stated it's a little hard to go "na, that's too good" when something better than it exists and was accepted at the moment. The armour is also completely fine, seeing as it scales the same way Snow's does ((and Snow's has no benefits with Bound being more of a negative then a good thing.)) It's really jsut trading the base ((snow's for example being 4+1/2lvl)) to have a much higher scaling versus a certain kind of damage, It's entirely reasonable. Not to mention it also has SYN Thresh bonuses. It's really fine where it is.
