That can really be said about any unit in the game though and I don't really agree that they are that easily screwed over. To be fair my runs have had some... super stupidly good Peg Knights/Falco Knights with them being some of my strongest units ever. Their Speed growths are usually so high that they double even at with weight penalties, not to mention I nearly always supply them with Javelins so they can attack melee units from range an most tend to get enough strength that they can eliminate most units with it due to doubles. Imo literally all axe users are the worse cause if they don't get enough speed or skill to drag their butts out of the zone where they aren't literally always getting doubled and never hit anything they are complete garbage. Seriously... Axe users are complete trash imo and I've never had one that's even remotely solid. Cause your super High Strength stats doesn't matter if you can never hit anything, or if you do hit you get doubled and die every time lol. Like honestly... axe users get screwed by RNG way more often in my experience. ((hell, even Hector in my current run of FE7 is like literal garbage cause Lyn of all units does more damage than him but doesn't get doubled by literally anything faster than a bandit. since her speed is capped.)) Not to mention you want at least a few Mounted and flying units due to their increased speeds. Fliers especially in desert maps. Look, I ain't about to abide y'all shittin' on the best units universe~ Cause #DatFalcoKnightLife. ALso, thoughts on Klaren, this was probably eventually going to happen at some point so I don't really feel that bad for him. Like, at some point reality was going to smack him in the face, better be by an ally in camp then the middle of battle, no?

Meredith said smiling. while she'd love to get into hands on training right away, She was popped from today. Too many emotions, too much fighting already. It was best to save the sparing for another time. She took a deep breath, breathing in the night atmosphere, it felt, wonderful... refreshing. "So, let's get our rest. We've had a day of battling and traversing. Quite enough for today if you ask me, Hot Shot.~. I might even sleep out under the stars tonight. They are quite beautiful."

"Whenever you want Hot Shot, though I... guess I'd need an extra spear... Well, I'm sure once I put in the order for the equipment I'll get myself a new one and then that'll be sorted. So, whenever we have down time feel free!" She returned the enthusiasm, with a warm smile and holding her hand up with her Index finger and middle finger forming a "V". She'd look forward to it. Though, it'd not be the same as with Gerson, she'd be the mentor this time. It was quite the odd feeling. She couldn't up but feel incredibly ancient. and yet she was nearly half the age of Gerson when he taught her. Somehow that man still had all that intensity despite being in his late 50's to 60's. She didn't know how he was still so full of vitality. Perhaps she'd have a leg up in that regard. All she hoped was that she could be half the mentor he was. At that time the small spell had come and gone. It could only be the work of one person. "Hmmm, so you can do pretty things with that fire of yours too Firecracker. You really are something special." Meredith thought, a smile on her lips even still.

tfw I'm that guy that's taken Peg knights into maps with that many archers before just with the "I'll just double attack them and kill them in close quarters so they can't shoot me.

tfw people would assume mine be lol, but I actually use so many different things in reality that I'd never really be able to say it's just that. Lol is more my social tick in a way when I'm very uncomfortable in some manner. ((to the point I change how I do my lol, if it's meant to be in the I find something funny way.))

The Bow, does take strength to sue but the bow projects that. I suppose, it makes sense that it'd more translate towards a spear than the sword for you. Besides, swords are for overly fancy blowhards that have too much time to be flashy. The Spear is Practical!" Meredith flexed her arm placing her other hand on her bicep. Not that she could feel it through her armour, it was mostly to complete the pose. "I'm not an easy teacher though, I was taught by the best. And he was no slouch either! You'd be learning from the best of the best! I'm sure you can handle it though." "I'll be honest Hot Shot. I see in you what my mentor saw in me. I can see that fire in you. That spirit. Meredith really did mean that. She wanted those of her unit to feel like they could tell her anything, and confide in her if need be. It was the least she could do for those crazy enough to join up with her and her little band of misfits. "Nothing you say would be silly to me. After all, look who you're talkin' to. A Former Dragao legend, now running a group of misfits against the tyrant she once served." Meredith giggled to herself, her life really was quite absurd when you stopped to look at it.

Besides she's a cute patoot and gives me another way to activate Spear Wall. ((really as many lance units as we can get the better since they make me more powerful.)) That's... kinda stupid imo. Why specify the element of it if that doesn't matter? Only really anima has that as an issue so we can't see it on the magic weapons that do Dark or Light cause Dark or Light jsut have variations of how they work rather than totally different elements. Dunno just think it's silly that they specific these magic weapons having elements if they don't matter. as a note, yea the effective damage doesn't really make WInd do that much more damage cause the tomes this early generally have ery low base might being wind. Saff can probably do more damage just hitting and I think having another flier is more useful. ((we have plenty of mages already, but not a lot of units with good movement allowances. Especially if this actually is a desert map fliers are even better.)) ((should note I edited the most recent IC post I made so that the scen can end there if need be, and it's not left feeling incomplete if it's cut off.))

I'm not sure it actually does extra damage in this. Since all anima magic seems to jsut do anima dmg. ((Pyon might've changed it though.))

She was always rather concerned for the young one despite how she had acted in the past. She was young, and she feared for her for that reason. Meredith always hated that people of her age were forced into fighting. It made her sick knowing what the drafts were recruiting young people into the Dragao army. "Would you still choose to fight, would you still have found your way to my little group of misfits? Eh... really, no matter what you answer, I know you're worthy of it. Those that are not wouldn't have these feelings. They'd never once question it, their actions, or stop to think how they effect others around them. That alone is enough to convince me. We all find our time Hot Shot, you're hardly useless, you're just starting to bloom. I accepted you for a reason. I saw that potential."

Well, that took an eternity. You think "Take the Wyvern back to his master" was simple enough. Eh, it's fine. probably just had to get the thunder spirits to explain it to him... and they probably missed the first time. Meredith didn't really say much of anything for awhile. She just sat there staring at the night sky, looking at the stars circling in the distance. They were quite the beauty. She could've gotta lost within it given the chance. The sky was like an ocean of stars. Stunningly white pearls that swirled in the inky depths. After awhile she laid down on her back, just staring up at the sky. "Hey, you know. When I was little, I used to look up at the stars all the time. In fairy tales, they always said great heros were remembered among the stars. So, I always looked up there, wondering if it was true. However, I did it for another reason as well. I always thought it was unfair that all the heros in the tales I heard growing up were about men. The only strong female icon we ever had was the goddess. Otherwise all her strongest heros in the tales of old were men. It was frustrating to me, so as a little girl... I vowed that I'd be one of them. That one day... I'd be a hero worthy of being remembered in the stars. One day, I'd be a hero that could inspire young girls to greatness as well." she didn't really stop to look over at the girl but she kept looking up. The stars, were beautiful tonight. She wondered if she'd be able to see any of the constellations of these supposed heroes tonight. A more somber look came over her face though. "However, I found being a hero wasn't what I wanted. It, wasn't really what I was striving for. I was told I was one, but I sure as hell didn't feel like one. I still don't. Because I promised I'd protect the people of Dragao. My countrymen. And yet, the very reason I was called a hero was for slaughtering them by my own hand. I had to... otherwise I'd not even be here... I'd be dead. However, I'm not sure the lives this world lost will ever make up for mine staying in it. At the very least I suppose... I knew that this... wasn't what I wanted. I didn't want to be the kind of hero they made me."

Meredith feared such a reaction. Hoshiko, wasn't as good at hiding things as she probably thought she was. Meredith could feel the discomfort in her voice. It was probably just from the sheer number of people that were around at the moment... and well the wyvern. She did appreciate the help but it was clear in this scenario back up wasn't all that good and probably made it worse. She leaned in to Terrin quickly and whispered into his ear. "Hey, so... as a note Hoshiko actually doesn't like being around a lot of people. That's why I said so earlier. I think it'd still be a bit unnerving for her regardless, if red beauty here didn't follow me over. So, I'mma going to give you an excuse to leave so I can handle this. Act natural.~" "So, since you've taken such a shining to Red here, how about you take him back to his master? Sure Ecquis is wondering where he could be by now. It'd be very helpful of ya Terrin." Meredith didn't really even wait for him to do so, she just assumed he would leaving him and the wyvern gawking at each other. She walked over to Hoshiko, minding her presence as much as she could. She tried to keep a calm and steady demeanor. One that wouldn't scare the little hot shot. She just sat wordlessly next to her.

Oh, probably just a misunderstanding on my part. Mostly jsut when exactly she left the "employ". Figured it was much later but I realize now that'd Serene had to have left a lot more recently due to the fact that well... Radburn recognized her. Soooooooooo, basically I just dumbed lel.

I should note Acquie that Dragao... probably has no idea that Saffron is even with the Children at this point. She only joined us last chapter so, they certainly wouldn't have known she was whiel she was out in the field etc. ((unless word travels at the speed of light but... yeeeea lel.))

"You should be glad though, if you ended up on the front lines you might've had to fight me. I'm no slouch either so... you'd have to really try to keep up with myself. Luckily, that's not the world we are living in, we find ourselves as allies rather than enemies. Strange how the fate ends up weaving itself."
