  1. "I am Meredith "The Undying". This, well you're with my small outfit of misfits after what happened." Meredith wasn't... ever good at this type of thing. She didn't like being the bearer of bad news. Telling people of the misfortune that had befallen them. Especially when it was one that had befallen her once. At least she was there for the occurrence, she had seen it unfold. She didn't have to come to believe it afterwards. "I don't know how much you remember, but... you were the only survivor of your unit. Those creatures knocked you out and tried to bring you to their master. A Mage called, Ignexus. We tried to reach your band before, however, being swamped to our ears in those... things we couldn't get to you in time. A pair of merchants down the way were the only reason we had enough strength to break through and save you." She sighed heavily, trying to hold back emotions that were just bubbling under the surface. grief, pain... things she couldn't identify. She tried to keep her voice level, but it was nearly impossible. She knew at some points she wavered. She saw the fire mage from earlier coming towards them in the distance. though, she kept her attention on the the man next to her. "I don't even know your name and I'm breaking this news on you... I apologize. However, I thought you should know when you awoke, rather than be left to wonder. I've been waiting for... hours to do so."
  2. "Mama needs a new spear. Another Iron Javelin!" Count so far 2 Iron Jav: 200g ((One to Ecquis, One to Meredith.)) 1 Heal: 100g ((FOr Maya)) 1 Sleep: 100g ((For Maya)) 1 Soldier's Drum ((currently.)): 100g ((For Luka)) Total: 500g "This is the list thus far for the order, anybody else need gear? Speak up!!! Otherwise I'm not putting ya on the requisitions sheet." By the way I'll be finalizing the order.
  3. "Oh... you're awake." The half-hearted words came from a woman sitting next to the entrance of Radburn's tent. The clear marks of tears fallen there, the clear signs it had taken place. Though, it was probably strange from a woman clad entirely in armour. "Come, sit. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and well, if anyone should answer them it should be me." Meredith motioned to the blanket she was sitting on. There was just enough space for the man to sit next to her.
  4. I wasn't really sure if Meredith would or not. She probably would if she wasn't caught in her own little world. But I need to decide if she would or not... I'm just not sure... you'll know if I do though cause I'll post.

      Commander

Sain is pretty much what made Lyn mode interesting.

  8. tfw mine's not actually related to Meredith's hair colour it jsut happened to work out that way. ~~((I actually made it red assuming that Pyon would use that for the enemy text colour and it's be a nod that she was once part of the Dragao military before I revealed it lol.))~~
  9. Like I'm still trying to figure out if I'm reading into Rosa's text colour changing too much... LOL. ;~; not really lol.
  10. "The only thing we could do is burn them. We don't have the time to give proper burial to all these people, and even if we did, these bodies have been, surely desecrated." Meredith looked around, the place was a nightmare. Whoever these people were, they didn't deserve this fate. No one did. The most they could do for them is release them with the heat of flame. Anything was better than this. Even if their families lived elsewhere in another village, even if they sent the bodies, no one would ever recognize them in this state. Fire was the only burial for them now. Besides, burning that body, the starts of Ignexus's vessel, seemed the smartest plan of action. "So, Firecracker, when we are done here, use that fire of yours to put these people to rest. Do it for me at least. I would like to converse later about unit matters as well. Can't just sign in a new recruit out of nowhere Samwell will have my head." She tried to laugh, but it was clearly fake. It'd have hung in the air, but it was already too full of the scent of the dead. She took a deep breathe, probably a terrible idea seeing as the stench just caused her to lurch. Once again, the one who never cracked did. Meredith was really starting to wonder if she was as tough as she thought, or... if she was just putting up a facade this whole time. But, this was nearly to much for her to handle. Whatever this madness was... it had taken the lives of an entire village, and most of that Dragao soldier's unit. She realized suddenly... that man just lived exactly what she had. His entire unit gone in an instant. And, at the hands of people of Dragao. This time at least, the people didn't do it of their own violation. However, this time he had fallen... and might take his failure as the reason his men were now dead. "I don't really care what you do with that... crystal. But, I'd rather not have to look at it for another second." Meredith turned and walked out of the church. She wasn't going to stay in there anymore, she just couldn't. She went over to find that soldier they had saved. She grabbed his hand in his unconsciousness and squeezed tightly. She didn't really care if anybody saw her. Tears ran down her face, openly, she couldn't hide it if she wanted to. "You've been inflicted with the same curse as I... But, you have to pull through. You lived for a reason. This world is not done with you yet. Just like it isn't done with me. I don't know who you are... but you have to. I have to at least saved someone from this...nightmare. At least one. At least one." Because what good am I if I can't save at least one person?
  11. "Not sure what y'all are getting so worked up for. It's my unit, their my funds. Ain't anybody spending anything unless it's approved by me first. Not unless they want a face full of spear."
  12. Probably jsut be easier to have a pooled sum. Less shit to keep track of for allof us lol. ((as long as I get me a Damn Javelin already... ;~; ))
  13. "Well, should've lead with that one. I like you already... anyway. I'm sure we can do business in due time. For now let's take stock of the situation and make sure none of us are about to keel over... But, this woman needs herself a new spear for sure." She said pointing her thumb inwards touching it to her chest. "As I've said, you'll fit in just fine so long as you can pull your weight, and seeing how well you swung that hammer, I'm pretty sure you won't be shirkin' any work. Pretty hard to bluff those fighting skills, so I'll take the gamble." "As for this... business. He mentioned finding his body. I doubt that was what he truly was. He had to be here for a reason. Legends or not, he was looking for something, and his search lead him here, to this village."
  14. Meredith coughed a bit, the poison from the flames still there. But, she'd be fine. No more enemies were present, she'd hardly have trouble. She laughed though, her words distracted that thing long enough that Rosa's attack ended it, whatever it was. It was a good gamble. One she knew that the creature couldn't resist. None of those high and mighty types ever could resist correcting those they perceived lower than them. "Good hit kid. Hooo... That was quite the fight. You did well." she said to Rosa before turning off to go meet up with Saffron. She couldn't really help her. She was no healer. "Saffron, how's that soldier? He still breathing? If so Maya, you need to make sure his wounds are tended to first. He got roughed up rather bad just from a glance. Besides, the rest of us are still standin' so we'll be fine for now. Well, we were... Rosa is next. Everyone else, patch yourselves up best ya can while we wait." done barking, she took a deep breathe. it was over for now, but... why was this thing here? What did it want? What was in that church? But first... there was business to take care of. "So, how many strays we picking up and adding to the unit this time? You know I'm not running a charity service here... Supplies don't exactly grow on trees. Eh, whatever, welcome to the team.~ Pull your weight and we won't have any issues."
  15. "Maybe I just need my eyes fixed but, all I see here is a man who is a lot more bark than bite." Meredith scoffed. Man... the loons were out in full force in this place. Yet another god complex, yet another body to put in the ground. Nothing more humbling than a niiiiice dirt nap. "So, Mister "GOD" " she said sassy air quotes included. "While your down here on the mortal level with us... how about you shut your mouth? Cause maaaaaaaaaaaaan... are you annoying. Once you find this "body" of yours... maybe I'll care. But even then you'd still just be small irrelevant being clawing for something you can never in truth, attain. So, if I or my friends kill you here save us all some time and stay dead." Moves to K4, Attacks the "god of all the cosmos who's gotten a little too big for his britches." with the ultimate weapon of Justice. S A S S. ((really just her Iron Lance doe.))
  16. By the way, this is pretty obvi but if Maya should heal Rosa. FUnnily enough though jsut just cause it picks her up but because It puts my damage at full ((since it puts her, Hoshiko and Maya within 3 spaes of where I need to move to attack our boy Iggy.)) Pretty sure we can handle the dude within this turn but making sure my damage isn't gimped seems a bit important. ((But basically I'm saying I'm attacking I jsut need y'all in range before I can.))
  17. "Anyone can be a commander on the battlefield, it needn't be a combatant. You're still here down on the battlefield with us, I'd take that over most of the commanders I've have the displeasure of serving under." She said, the slight hint of venom under her breath. She wasn't fond of the officers of Dragao's armies, many of them were the type to oversee from a distance, send missives via messengers etc... fair few fought with their men. At least in her experience. "Besides, you seem to be quite the natural at it. I've felt that leaving command in your capable hands is the right decision. I would hope our allies feel the same as I."
  18. "Saffron we got injured! Need you to make a pick up! He's looking pretty rough. Make sure he's stable, we'll take care of this... thing in the meantime." Meredith wanted to be sure that the solider made it. They'd at least save someone from this pit of hell. The rest of the small group of Dragao soldiers had long fallen, but at least they could save one of them. Meredith wondered if it was really the best idea, seeing as this was the army they were fighting after all. They had no idea the fiber of this man's character, who he was... anything. ANd yet... she knew that some good people fought under Dragao's banner. After all, she once had. Even if he was an awful person... it wasn't right to just let him die. Let him fall to, these abominations... no one deserved that fate. She moved up getting into position to take on that mage looming in the distance. She couldn't reach right now, but she made sure to do so so she could assist her allies if they needed it. She looked over at the fire mage. She... still wasn't sure about her. Was, she another that chased the ectasy of pain like Klaren? It was... uncertain at this time, but Meredith really didn't want a second one of that type in her unit. But, she had to admit, this Mage knew her stuff. "Hey! Firecracker! You really bring the heat it seems. I'm still not sure about you, but, you have my respect as a warrior at least." Moves to LATE
