  1. "Must not be a fan of enclosed spaces." Luna mused in her head, upon seeing Lucille leave the room. After all, not really any one was watching her at this point and she wasn't engaged in any conversation. The ruckus the other were making was much more distracting to the point she considered her options. She could probably shift into a creature small enough to leave without being noticed at all. Unlike the shifting of those that required magic, hers wasn't flashy. In a room where conversations were taking place and she was in a dark corner on her own, it was pretty easy to leave without a trace. Luckily, non-combat forms were easy to transform into for Luna. They didn't require as many moving parts and she could even skip some of the natural features for defense that she didn't need to work on later after the from change. Handy for disappearing. She wasn't as fancy at hiding her presence as someone trained to, but it was hard to argue that rat and mice didn't have a natural ability to be unassuming. That, and no one here knew she could transform. Even if they noticed she was missing, they'd not notice the small rat scurrying about the floor. They'd have no reason to look down. And even if they did, they'd not know it was her. There wasn't a way to tell, especially, given that her shifts were her changing her actual body composition. True Sight, the magic of true seeing, couldn't even pierce it, because there was nothing to pierce, no illusion, no magic holding the form. The form became hers and in the moments she was holding it... that was who she was. There was nothing there for it to see. So, curiosity... killed... the Primordial One? She quickly shaped her body into that of vermin. the shrinking of tissue still was a bit painful though she was used to it by now. The shifting of bones and the changing of their composition, the changing of organs and the shifting of their position to fit the new frame. Something she had done probably a million times in the span of her life. She at least had done it so much she couldn't really count it anymore even if she wanted to. "Ah, the good ol' level of detritus. It stinks down here my lord." Luna thought to herself. "The trouble of heightened senses. You'd think I'd learn this by now, but... it's really a shock going from human sense to an animal's." Now, newly a jet black rat to further fade into the natural shadow of this dingy basement, The Bom-Rat scurried quickly towards the woman who was about to take her leave. She was interested in where she was going. She knew that somehow, she'd probably figure out she had a new animal following her, it was jsut a hunch, but a pretty good one having seen that other rodent like creature of hers. Knowing what she did of the magics of the world, she did know it was possible to "see" through the eyes of another creature, typically with one that was "bonded" with the subject. How this woman did this... Luna had no idea, but she was curious about it. She wanted to see how she'd act outside, where people weren't watching her. The place Luna figured that Lucille could be herself. Because that... that... was when humans were the most interesting. Besides, it be nice to get away from all these stuffy uppity ups, the boooooooooring crew, with a dash of metallic brute.
  2. "Don't stare into a woman's eyes too long Vermillo. That's how they steal your heart if old tales are to be believed." Bom said with a playful giggle. This demon... he was rather different from the others. Luna noted this for later. Vermillo, if he hadn't before, got his name firmly planted on the interesting list. She breathed in, excitement. Not an emotion she figured she'd experience today. It was one that rarely plagued her these days. She'd seen so much that it was rather hard. However... this one reminded her of what her offspring... demonkind once were. "Firepower, sometimes is just good to have around in case, good to diversify your options. I'm not so great at the whole infiltration thing myself... though I can make myself discreet enough. You'll understand in time. All in all, we might even be over-equipped for this mission. And yet... if it were something so simple... we'd not been the ones you called. It makes one wonder."
  3. Hmmm, can't sleep might as well point out the post that's still an outlier in all this is this one here. If you could rework that post, CG, that'd seriously be swell. ((Because yea... there's no way in hell that Misara knows that. No one there knows that Luna is a demon [which teeechinally isn't even correct... since she actually isn't a demon... but semantics.]. Trust me... I know.)) Anyway, hopefully after this is taken care of... this whole thing stops cause I'm kinda... really tired of it already. There's only one RP I got this hardcore meta'd in before and that incident was bad enough that I did quit because I just couldn't enjoy it anymore afterwards. Here's hoping that it doesn't come to that this time. because seriously, I want to enjoy this. But, this shit is making it excessively hard to do so right now.
  4. Hmmm yea, but literally no one is listening to me as per usual. I'm seriously about to just drop cause clearly what I'm saying doesn't matter to people so why should I bother being here. Like I've been saying this whole time it's impossible for people to know she's a demon. As far as anyone else knows she is 100% human. There's no indications otherwise. How many more times do I have to say it? Seriously. The signal doesn't even pinpoint to her, the people that can feel it would jsut feel it from the room. They'd not knwo it's from Bom herself. And yet everyone has pinpointed her as the source when that's literally impossible.
  5. I mean it's fine to have an inkling. It's not fine to just be like "Oh, yea she's definteily totally a demon" when there's literally 0 grounds for it.
  6. Yea but keep in mind her aura probably isn't something demons have felt in... 1000's of years. Primordial Ones rarely have contact with the mortal world anymore. Bom is... an exception. ((Her aura wouldn't even feel like that of other demons to the point.)) Like until she shifts the first time, no one will have a clue what she is lol. Basically, she's a "demon" but she's not a demon. She's something different enough to warrant the classification. Can't really look at her and go, "Thaaat's a demon alright!" she doesn't have a true form her form is whatever it is in the moment. ((she just feels more of an identification with the form that is uniquely hers.)) Like, think of it this way, True sight wouldn't reveal anything about her, because she can change her anatomy. How she looks now, is what she is. lol. ((so, she's basically a human right now. Her Shifting abilities as you recall I've said aren't magic. Bom can't use magic. She's not able.)) the only trace of her being "off" is the aura which can only really be sensed by demons which they can feel because they are offspring in a sense, so they can feel it, things that are related to demons. Really the only characters that should be able to feel the "broadcast" are those that are demons, half-demons, Murdoc's character ((since Vampires are related to demons, and in some myth are said to be types of them.)). None of the angels and humans could sense it with the exception of Lucielle most likely. ((due to yea, Animals apparent ability to sense the super natural.)) even then, she's still "human" as far as anyone there knows. Look, it's juuuuuuuust... kinda really annoying that a character that has 1000's of years of practice seeming to be something different than she is, si being ousted in... 2 seconds flat. Like I'm really starting to regret having put in that line cause now like... everyone is using it to meta the fuck out of me... It's like... a chill or a somewhat bothersome feeling not a giant beacon that says "HI I'M A DEMON!!!" like this is what I wrote. "As a note, Other demons can sense that Bom is something more than she lets on, though can't pinpoint the feeling directly to her. Though, whether they find this comforting... or highly terrifying... depends on the individual. Those that have connections to demonic forces also can sense it, but with no where near as much clarity." Like so... folks want to stop meta'ing me or...?
  7. Na, arrogant I get. Underestimating literally everyone in the room's abilities....? That's a bit far of a stretch from a tiny piece of body language.
  8. I know. Your character jsut doesn't really have information to draw that conclusion... since Bom has said nothing of the sort.
  9. That feel when Bom has not said anything along any lines of underestimating anyone and yet somehow... is? Don't really get where that impression is coming from at all. She not even commented on anyone. ((and her earlier comments weren't of the nature of underestimating your character at all, she was talking about how finding one's life answers through fighting rarely would they find the answers they sought. It had nothing to do with skill at all...)) The only things that could be construed as that are thoughts... which your character definitely doesn't have access to...I'm not... really sure where it's coming from. If you could enlighten me, That'd be swell. Dunn jsut find it odd that Bom's introduced herslf, and said one other thing outloud... suddenly everyone has a pin on her. Not sure how you can figure out everything via two statements to be frank.
  10. Luna didn't say anything to Vermillo. All she did was raise an eyebrow. Crossing her arms together she just stared at him, a grin on her face. She couldn't put a finger on this one. He was strange. Very strange. He kept subverting her expectations for what he was. Perhaps a good thing. He managed to at least not be boring like the majority of demon kind. However she wasn't sure what his end game was. Perhaps to get her to talk, perhaps to discover more about her. He wouldn't learn more about her. She was content with being an enigma. After all, it was who she was at this point. Many didn't fancy meeting a Primordial One. Even with the new alliances between races. She was something much more than just a simple demon. "A good question. But, also a bad one. You know the answer. It's pretty pointless asking something you already know. So, why ask it at all? That's the real question, isn't? Perhaps because the information on record isn't what you want and you hope I'll say something else. Perhaps there was nothing on my record to begin with and you actually truly don't know. Perhaps it's some sort of test... no matter though... if you truly knew who I was, you'd know your answer. So, do you, or do you not?"
  11. Psssst, Jory, Luna never introduced herself as Luna. She introduced her self as "Bom". Just as a note.
  12. The Beowulf are pretty much accurate other than not having giant antlers ((like that of a deer.)) I actually more got the idea from the Beast-Possessed Soul, or an enemy from Bloodborne. ((she doesn't wield Fire abilities however.)) Oh also her rib like protrusions do lay flat at first so yea. The older bigger Beowulf would definitely be a pretty close look, clsoer than I thought at first.
  13. /me facepalms. ((Notus is pulling from my playbook y'all better keep on your toes.))
  14. Luna wasn't quite sure how to take this, Vermillo. Quite the character for one who supposedly lead an army. Too bubbly, much too caring. He should know better than anyone else the dangers of believing that your soldiers were as family. She could understand to some degree the need, but too much was an issue. At least from a commanding officer for certain. "I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment." she thought in her head, but rather than state it she kept it to herself instead. She didn't feel like talking to such a boring being. So, rather than prompt him to speak to her she'd stay silent instead. Better for her sanity, and his health. The little one she was much more interested. She noticed his glance... putting it lightly... from across the room before being assaulted with a hug. The half-glare, wasn't really concerning to her, but she found it interesting that for some reason, he had an issue with her. At least, she so believed. What could it be? Did her actually know who she was? Luna doubted it. Not many knew of the Primordial these days. Even the demons that could sense her no longer truly understood the signal anymore. They just chalked it up to something in the air. Also of course, they saw her true form. The form that was still talked about in legends, though vaguely, known only as, the Terror Beast. It was unknown to them if it was a creature, a demon... whatever. But it was Luna's true form, the one she created. Every true shapeshifter had one. The echo of their identity. Each was unique, tending to be a creature like no other. Hers was especially potent. Among the Primordial ones, Bom was one of the strongest if not the strongest Shifter. Typically, they were considered some of the weakest Primordials. However, Bom was the reason they never counted them out completely. It'd be a grave error to underestimate them after they knew of Bomoriel. For the longest time her name meant something. She was glad it didn't hold much reverence these days. That it was forgotten. She wasn't fond of the legends attached to that name. However, she still kept it's use for those she wanted nothing to do with. Her name, the one she gave herself... Luna. It was only for those she wished to have it. She worried now that somehow, this Gabriel knew what "Bom" meant. He was clearly a Vampire. Despite his child-like appearance... he was anything but. How long he was in this world was unknown to Luna. And how into obscure legend he was, was also unknown. Regardless of time... those that dug down deeply could find the name. It wasn't exactly a secret. It wasn't exactly kept under wraps by those that would think her a god. However... this all had to be in her head. There was no way... Was there? She pushed the thoughts aside. She didn't want to think about them. It was clear something was bugging the vampire other than her due to his reaction to Vermillio. So, she had to be overthinking this. Maybe he just didn't like people. Kinda like her feelings right now. She had no desire to be within these walls right now, least with the like so those that showed up. The only one she found to be truly interesting so far was Lucielle. A human, blind. At least, on the surface. There was something about her she wasn't lettin' on. It's was obvious solely for the fact that she was here. Clearly, it was no impairment for her. Perhaps... being blind was a boon, it was why she was here, it was what made her who she is. Speculation, but Luna had seen some strange things in her time. That tended to happen to those born at the beginning of time. She continued to remain where she was for the time being. She wasn't interested in making friends and she certainly wasn't interested in whatever dull and idle small talk that was a majority of conversation of the common folks.
  15. If I see it, I'm happy to help most likely. Or at least mention it so that you can understand and grow more quickly. It's better than just lettin' folks flounder in the dark and wriggle around not knowing what they should do etc... while to some degree you do need to learn on your own just from playing and what not and getting the experience, when I see something I can be like "hey, here's a tip" I'm going to give it to you rather than just sit there and watch it. I want as people to enjoy the experience as possible and one thing I know is that being maybe not as good as some of the other players etc... can feel a bit well unfun. I know for one that I tended when I was starting out to be put off by people that were better than me or that I precived to be so to speak. ((like when I first came here a lot of folks rather intimidated me XD> Lot's of them aren't really here anymore but they still did. XD.)). Anyone one be be pretty great at RPing. it's jsut fleshing out one's skills and moving forward. It's very much a sorta team effort because together we're tellin' these stories. So, I'm going to offer whatever help I can to help the experience be the best it can be.
  16. I handled it, no worries. ((Guess that's one advantage of me being in this RP...)) ((also as a note, single line posts are a bit...bleh as well. They aren't typically against the rules or anything just that single line posts give veeeeery little introspect into the character, and are pretty matter of act and tend to be rather... uninteresting. They jsut serve then bare minimum that is needed to advance soemthing but add very little to it.))
  17. "Do enjoy your seat of power arrogant little whelp. Being the one in charge of a host of demons is a curse, no blessing." Luna thought to herself. She had observed most of the others already introduce themselves... she wasn't impressed. So far another demon, an overly enthused angel, what appeared to be a child... though Luna knew better than to assume that was his true form. In her years of experience, it was rather obvious his true nature. Still, rather mundane regardless. He'd have been a much more fascinating presence before the change than after. She sighed. Can't win them all. The next, a cyborg. Technically human, but... Luna could feel the holes within his humanity from the tampering. The Spark of humanity dulled from the lose of flesh. Perhaps, it was only something she could sense as she knew where to look. However, this human didn't seem very interesting to herself. Much a brute like the demons she rather despised. Last, a Half-Demon. Can't say it was fair, but Luna definitely wasn't very interested in this one. The assumption there nearly made her laugh. "Just allies. Don't flatter yourself... as if I'd want anything to do with you. You're not even half interesting. A lost little lamb in over her head. I have no sympathy for one such as you." She thought to herself. However, not something she could say aloud. She didn't really care if she was heard, she just didn't want to sat off this unit on a bad foot. She was going to be stuck with the dull beings for awhile... best not to anger them. So, she sighed and decided to say something a bit less blunt. "You'll only find answers you don't want. Such is the way of battle. Soldiers... and those who fight to find definition, only find an empty one. One where you are nothing but a machine that kills, a blade created for but one purpose... destruction. That will break if you dare bend." She said directly to the girl who had introduced herself prior. She quickly turned to face the commander then as she addressed the room from the back where she was standing in one of the corners. She projected her voice rather well when she wanted to be heard. "As for your introductions... they are a waste of time. However, I'll oblige anyway. They know me as... Bom. Charmed~. As for what I can do, it's easier to show than tell. However, now is not the time." ((She is in her human form by the way, which... is really demon form but hers is really so unassuming that's it's hard to tell, other than by demons who get an uncanny feeling just from being near her.))
  18. Figured I'd rework an interesting character I didn't get to fully play out into something... of my own twist. Hope you enjoy Notus.~ Lemme know if it's coooooooool.
  19. Clarice, Ricardo, Sven, Barnes, Heart Swap Book Trade, Morning The loud scratching of a pen flying down paper. That was all that could be heard from Clarice's office at the current time. The few employees gathered there looked about wondering what they should do. After all, it was snowing today, it wasn't like they'd really get many customers. Ricardo stared at his friend with a rather strange look on his face. "What... are you staring at flee face?" The Delibird said in a nervous tone. Clear attempt to seem rather tough in front of his friend, but, his voice wavered. Not good on pressure apparently. "You ice for brains. You trying to get fired? Ay, caramba!" Ricardo said throwing his paws to the air in an over the top display. He placed the back of his paw across the front of his face and suddenly feigned the sound of great surprise. "You wound me so for being so careless Sven. You sweet sweet child..." "Wha... are you okay Ricardo? You're acting really weird dude." The cat heaved a large sigh. So much so nearly the entirety of his body shuddered in response. He walked up to the little Delibird and slapped his forelimb across his shoulder and pulled him in real close. "Lemme give ya a little secret for staying workin' here a long time. The Boss Lady is in charge here. But, that's not the secret. The Secret, and you better keep this on the downlow now..." Ricardo said looking from side to side, faking to see if anyone was in earshot. "Yea? Yeeeea?!?" Sven got even closer and looked up at the big cat. "IS TO NOT MAKE HER MAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!" Ricardo ROARED into Sven's ear. It sent the poor Delibird bowling into a pile of unsorted books and sending them flying. Sven- 0, Coworkers and Colleagues - 2. "You of all people should know that being loud and disturbing her while she's working is the easiest way to do that, Ricardo." said a third voice from elsewhere. It was Barnes, who had just entered the building. They didn't hear the service bell ring due to the fact that Ricardo had just screamed at the top of his lungs. The Large Noctowl stared at the Persian with a rather smug look on his face. Must've been proud of what he had just said. He started to brush the snow off his feathers and attire. Taking off his top hat and collapsing it in his hand before it popped back out, and in a ravishing display, tossing it back onto his head. He brushed off his thick black scarf. And lastly he banged the cane he had against the floor a few times to shake off the lose snow. Small flakes of snow burst forth from the relief of an Arcanine at it's head. It's face fixed in a mighty roar. It looked a bit silly as small flakes flew forth from it's maw, rather than the fire that Arcanine was definitely more known for. "Oh, fancy pants you're here. Might as well get this out of the way. Sven here has a deathwish and wants to get fired already so, he decided to get punted through the "Doggie Door" by her majesty." Ricardo said, with extra order of sass sauce. "No time for now, and I don't have my tools with me anyhow.. For the present time, place one of the palettes over it for now I'll repair it on the morrow." The old bird said as he shuffled towards the back. He was headed towards Clarice's office. Of the employees that worked there, Barnes was the only one that could enter the office without incurring her wrath. He for that reason was seen as the second in command around here. Clarice trusted him. More than most others in the world. It was the two of them that had first built the booktrade. Barnes handled the business, Clarice handled gathering the materials and the translating where necessary. The name, was decided on by both of them. They decided to name it after the fabled ability of a particular Pokemon, Manaphy. It's ability to swap the souls of two others to be precise. For the two of them, trading and sharing books in it's own way, was much the same. After all, reading one's favourite book was a great way to understand them. So, the name just felt right. "If you say so. I'm not sure how effective that'll be at keeping the cold out though." Ricardo mused. "I'm sure we'll figure something out." Sven blurted in quickly. Probably to prevent Barnes from having to answer himself. He already annoyed one of his superiors today, he didn't want his friend to annoy the other one. ******* "Getting good headway on that manuscript?" Barnes siad as he peeked his head in the room. He didn't open the door all the way. It was customary. If Clarice wasn't in the mind he didn't want to intrude on her space so, he made sure not to breach it entirely. It was him asking permission. Clarice looked up from the papers in front of her that she was jotting letters onto. Her eyes peered over the frame of her glasses up at the old bird. She gestured towards the chair in front of her desk with her eyes, signalling him to come in. He did so, and quickly walked over to the desk. He sat down, and waited for her to begin speaking. It didn't take long. "Yes. I am. Gotten at least a few chapters translated already. Seems to be yet another account of our so called gods. However, this one includes pieces and accounts from long long ago. Thousands of years. I cannot dare to think of their accuracy though." "Hmmm, how about a quick break then? I brought your favourite." "Well, you certainly know the way to a girl's heart." Clarice said, smiling. "Sure. It'd be nice." ********* They ate in silence for awhile. Just enjoying the sound of silence. It was quite nice to share in the solitude with another for a time. Talking wasn't really that important. Just knowing another was there. After awhile though Barnes began again. "Anyway, Has the Lore Master been by of late? I do remember we had another completed manuscript lying around correct?" "Oh yes, right here." Clarice said jumping a little at the realization. She almost dropped her custap berry tart. She opened a drawer while shoving the remainder of the sweet treat into her cheek with her tongue as she'd need her hands. She pulled out a large wade of parchment and rubber banded to it, a small old looking tome. On it's cover was the words, "The Sundered Skies". It was an account of some of a particular trio of Pokemon that were believed to be connected to the gods. Three genies, that controlled different elements. It seemed to be a historical account, therefore it was much more suited towards the great library run by the Lore Master, than the Book trade. "I sent a missive to him, but he's either not gotten it, or been to busy to come down here." "Do you wish for me to deliver it?" "No, if Anyone will it'll be me. I don't take well to being ignored after all. Either way, I'll probably finish copying this new manuscript soon enough and then have to deliver it regardless. And, I'd rather deliver this myself. So, why not kill two birds with one stone?" Barnes gave her a strange look. "Not literally... okay? It's just an expression." "I know, just an odd one to use at a time like this." He said with a hoot. His form of laughing. "Perhaps, Barnes. Perhaps. Anyway, There's no need. If the Lore Master doesn't show up by the time I finish this piece here, I'll personally deliver it." "Good good. Sounds like a plan."
  20. "Might as well remove this last archer." Meredith thought to herself noting jsut how wounded the man already was. It was best to take him out before the Priest got a chance to heal him. Though, Meredith was sure they had enough of a force left to overwhelm the priest anyway. The archer was closer however and armed, so she wanted to remove him while the opportunity was present. So, she decided to strike. She moved up into range and leveled her lance directly at him. Move to H13 and Attack Archer 1.
  21. Meredith gritted her teeth. and spat towards the archer. "You won't get lucky this time." She was glad she received yet another dance. Especially this time. Fate was cruel at times. How she missed she wasn't sure of but... now she had a grudge. A tiny one, but one nonetheless. She lunged forward once more. This time, hoping her strike would land true. Attack Archer 2... again...
  22. "You'll pay for that arrow with blood. Hope you can afford the toll." Meredith said as she stepped forward to strike at the archer that fired at her. She could easily get to him now that the Mercenary blocking her path fell to his bloody end. She stepped over him as he hit the ground and ran her spear directly towards the hapless archer that fired a shot at her. She didn't really beleive what she said, but seeming intimidating on the battlefield went a long way for getting into your enemies heads. It made them a lot less likely to be effective, so, she used that to her advantage. Moves to I15, Attack Archer 2.
