Need Help Balancing New Types
Raindrop Valkyrie replied to Lord Chespin's topic in Resources and Tutorials
First question to ask is why are you adding these types? Is there a point for them being there other than novelty? Why do they exist and what is the purpose of adding them into an already 18 type chart? -
I mean yea that's certainly something but that'll be pushed down a tad once things open up Since out in the world you'll be more free to do your own thing XD. So yea I definitely get that from your part don't worry. But Always remember if you not sure talk to me or the other players. Figure stuff out. Strive to talk to us and figure out things by talking to us about things. Since we can tell you better than anyone what's happening with our characters etc... lol. Look I don't bite ((Crunch is better.)) so feel free to hmu and talk to me about stuff. I'd love to talk about the world etc. ((however also remember I'm trying to leave it a tad loose. That way there's wiggle room for you as the players to leave some marks. This world won't all be me after all. ))

I dunno. Just keep in mind he's not the leader of the Guards of night yet. That's actually yet to happen as well as him learning the God Slash and the other technique that Cyllis created. That being learned I was actually going to use as a tutorial for how training works when Training opens up ((this will be after the gates open.)). So his reputation would be known but he's not the most well known guard for sure. He's not like the ones I've not bothered naming since they are going to be dead... and probably have literally 0 screen time XD. But yea I might work something up. We'll see how it goes. If I can't think of anything really that great to go on eh... ((I've not got a crazy amount of info there so it's the reason I asked for clarification.)) I'd at least like to see another post for that scenario or... it get a bit more fleshed out, that ways there's something for me to react to. I don't really have that at current lol.

It's the dark that reminds us... just how sweet the light is.

I'm afraid of Heights. However... it being a rational fear since it can bloody kill you... it's not a phobia.

Aurora, Lord Cyllis. Early Morning, The 1st day of the 1st month of the year of rebirth. "Aye, it is. It's why I'm surprised that it's been vacant so long. I didn't know it was such a reclusive and neglected place. However I do suppose once only I had used it. It was my place to practice sword and have those that would not bother me. It was always far removed enough that I could get away but not to removed I couldn't be found. I'm surprised to find it a home, rather than a training ground like before. I wonder if the old bamboo training stalks and my dummy are still down here? Did you ever find them? I could probably do a small demonstration I suppose. I've got the time." his hand was still resting on his blade, however his hard chitinous fingers were now clicking on the metal of the pommel. His fingers moved with excitement. He clearly was itching to use that sword of his. It was also clear to Aurora that he wasn't jsut carrying one sword now. He had 3. The Katana was in an easy to reach location, however she noticed two more swords attached to his back. It was impossible to tell exactly what they were due to the scabbards and their positioning... but one was much larger than the other probably a two hander of some sort. The Lord of Blades lived up to his self-prescribed title at least, he really did have a lot of blades on him. Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Nearing Afternoon. "Hmmm, well most Vampires at least... like me and Heinrich, can eat food for pleasure, the taste so to speak. The functions of our bodies still work as if they were alive. So, we of course want to we can utilize it. However, it doesn't sustain us. At least not nearly as much as a living human. Also, I'm not very much like other vampires. The way I get power from blood... is quite.... different. It's not a very pleasant thing so I prefer to stave it off with other methods as long as possible. However there's are times it's necessary. I do however reckon that like me you should be able partake in the meal as well. After all your one of my own, part of me is within you after all. So I'd imagine it would work for you such as myself." she said putting her finger to her lips. She wasn't sure why Lotus was asking so many questions though she was rather enjoying the conversation. It wasn't often someone would stick around long enough to actually converse with her. Many wanted to be around her as little as possible. After all, it came with the reputation. It was nice to have just a regular conversation... well as regular as one could have with a servant. Regent, Van Arlo, Iidrra Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth, approx. 9:05 AM The Illithid's stinger popped in and out of his mouth rapidly. It looked like some sort of nervous tick... or the sign of quite possibly... an anxiety attack. Either way he looked positively mad. Fury was latent in his transmission. "Draaaagon... I care not... about your size. Be in my Office or there will be CONSEQUENCES!!! I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM HALF OF YOUR BODY TO FIT IN THERE YOU BETTER BE THERE!!!" It was really all the proof one needed to know that dealing with Iidrra... was not a pleasant experience. Unlike a lot of other rumours most about his anger were not too exaggerated. Making him angry was the last thing you wanted to do. It was this that more or less broke the idea that he was the Spymaster. His huge anger problems made him much too conspicuous. He constantly flew off the handle. However it was usually for things that to him, were offenses. Damaging the castle was the highest of offenses in his mind. Therefore, Regent wasn't in his good graces right now. Being on Iidrra's bad side... was nearly a death sentence. He had better find someway to get there... or Iidrra would remember this. He'd remember it well.

Well... after legit staring at the screen for 30 minutes trying to convince myself it was okay to press the enter button... guess I amde my first post in the WDYLL thread. That... man that was really hard for me. It's really stupid... but it was legitmatly really hard for me to do it. Well... hopefully... this helps me be more comfortable with myself and what I look like etc.
-
Okay so.... this is the first time I'm ever putting a picture of me up here... I'll be honest I'm still a little uncomfortable about it. I've kinda always been one who didn't really care about looks and yet I've always got silly double standards where I'm never really happy with anything that has to do with myself. As a result I've sorta avoided this thread a lot. Because I jsut never felt comfortable putting a picture of me out there in the world cause personally... I'm not the biggest fan of myself etc... and as a result I never felt it was fair for me to look in this thread. If I wasn't ever willing to show what I looked like... well why should I see others? To me, it just didn't sit well. So, I've always avoided this thread until now really. So... I guess you'll finally get to see what your Sensei looks like. Keep in mind this photo is a bit old so it's not entirely accurate I suppose, however I've not really changed much. The reason I got to use an old one is cause I fundamentally hate people taking pictures of me ((mostly since I've got... a lot of self confidence issues. It's silly I know but I just am never comfortable with my picture being taken.)) So, this might sound really really stupid... but this is one of the hardest things I've really ever done. It's really hard for me to type this up and harder for me to push the enter button but I'm going to. I think it's about time I suppose. But, yea It's pretty difficult for me even if it seems silly. I hope you guys understand it's taking a lot out of me to even consider doing this and more to actually be doing it. I trust you folks, so don't misplace that trust. Anyway... enough of me being me let's get this on the road. For reference... I'm the bald guy XD. The rest are some HS friends

Regent, Van Arlo, Iidrra Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth, approx. 9:00 AM "I don't care what he did you stupid LIZARD!!! Don't you know how hard it is keeping this Castle from falling into pieces? You WAAAAAANT SOLOMON TO BE MORE OFF HIS ROCKERS!??!?!" a silly statement coming from the Illithid who was literally having a meltdown right in front of the two. His robes were all ruffled as his arms starting to increase in velocity the louder he was yelling. It was so much so that his physical mouth started making noises he was seething with that much anger. He stopped took a deep breathe and fixed both of them the most horrifying death stare they had probably seen in their lives. "After the Benediction... you two idiots better be in my office to discuss reparations. If your not... weeeeell, let's just say you're going to miss a lot more appointments and not because of your faulty brain wiring." the spell's effect now wore off it wasn't meant to be a long effect. It was a strange spell for certain and it wasn't typically used by battle mages. After all Hold spells were typically more effective then ones that just stopped a creatures momentum for a short amount of time. Hold spells held for longer though they could be physically broken out of. One would begin to wonder why he choose to use it, but it wasn't really important. ((First instance of Character being around in two scenes happening, however, this is by the time he would arrive back at the place he's supposed to be.)) Icarus, Isolda Grace, Iidrra. Time: 1st day of the Year of Rebirth. Afternoon 1:00 PM "And who told you that existed?" a twisting feeling entered into the minds of those in the room. It was unpleasant and certainly not a welcome presence. It was clear it was probably an Illithid, and one that didn't care to be civil when putting out his telepathy signal. It felt like something had forced it's way into their ear and lodged itself there and starting talking. Except it was being perceived directly by the mind. It was a strange feeling. "No such volume exists or ever existed. You think an architect would be stupid enough to write the secrets of the castle in a text? And you think I'd be dumb enough to not burn the manuscript? That is knowledge that would be detrimental if it got out. After all, the Free Races wouldn't be above sending someone to infiltrate and discover that knowledge... we'd be dead by now." The Demoness at the counter spoke up now, yelling across the room at the presence yelling at them in their heads. "Iidrra, calm down. It's just an inquiry." "Caaaalm DOWN!?!!?! THIS MAN'S ASKING FOR A BOOK THAT WOULD HOLD THE KEY TO DESTROYING THIS CASTLE!!! I really want to know who started this rumour so I can clobber the stupid out of their brain. Or... Erase it. Even if it did exist how would a book survive over that many millennium? Doooooooooooooes anyone around here remember how old this damned place is? I DON'T THINK THEY DO!!! WHAT ARE THEY TEACHING KIDS IN HISTORY THESE DAY!?!?" The illithid seething, marched back into the office, and slammed the door hard. The Demoness started to talk to both Isolda and Icarus. "I'm... not sure what's got him in a mood buuuuuut you might not want to be here when he gets back. After all... I'm sure you both have heard stories of Iidrra's temper. They are pretty much all true. The only one that's not is the one about him shooting acid out of his eyes. That he can't do... thank Nocturne. Otherwise I'd have to hear the end of it for all the damage to the books."

Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Nearing Afternoon. "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but it's because Babble... is a special case. He's just a rather strange individual and he needs someone to rein him in unlike many others. Of course, he doesn't know that's what he has an assistant for, so you shouldn't let him know that. However, Babble is a powerful Priest in the service of Nocturne. He's no mere joke and he's got a position on the staff for a reason. he just needs some help is all." Sybil kept a smile on her face the entire time. She, unlike many others in Dour, didn't mind the strange jelly. He was just a big dumb kid really and he was lost without his servant most of the time. However, he was still very effective at serving his job. It was the one thing he actually very good at. Sybil didn't think anyone was more qualified for the position as there was no current priests other than Babble, and especially not at Babble's level, that had powers from Nocturne. Nocturne rarely granted their abilities to those on the mortal plane, however Babble was one such exception. As a result Sybil elt he knew the will of the god better than any and that he should be the one to run the Temple for that reason. Others thought he much too childish, not fit for a real job of any sort. However, it was Sybil that kept him from losing his position. Most didn't care to bevy against Babble anymore... if it meant having to deal with her. "So, since you will be meeting him, try to be understanding. He's a bit much for most to handle, especially the first time. It's a miracle his Assistant hasn't been driven mad yet, but she's a resilient woman. With a very thankless job." Sybil always felt for Barbara. After all, it had been her that put her there. Barbara as once one of her servants. One of the better ones as well. However she knew that someone was needed to keep Babble in check. The poor jelly could barely handle dressing himself on certain days. It wasn't that he was stupid, daft, any of that, in fact he was quite smart. He just wasn't able to ever pay attention or really get anything done if left on his own other than eating everything in sight. Sybil knew that her servant would be the perfect one to keep him in check. However, she never felt right about sending her there. Even though Barb herself wanted to, and chose to do so. Regent, Van Arlo, ??? Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth, approx. 9:00 AM Suddenly both Arlo and Regent felt their bodies come to a dead halt. After hearing from another hall the shout [Multi-Magic: Momentum Freeze] they found themselves unable to move frozen in the positions they were in before the spell had taken hold. A rather large suit of armour walked forward from a nearby doorframe. It was the spitting image of a Paladin's suit of armour one from the Free Races. However, anyone that knew anything about the Castle would know who this figure was. It was a particular Librarian, one who was definitely on his lunch break and definitely not happy with the current events going on. This was the Illithid best known as Iidrra. He was the master of books for the castle. There were dastardly rumors that he was also some sort of Spymaster as well however... much of that was true was up to debate. What was known was he was excessively cranky and not shy with his use of magic. After all, what he just did made this evident. A telepathic message blurted directly into their minds, "Which of you is paying for the damage to the Castle's walls? Or am I going to have to make you pay with your bodies? I could use two idiots like you for carrying books."

Aurora, Lord Cyllis. Early Morning, The 1st day of the 1st month of the year of rebirth. "Mood? I am in no mood. Well none of your concern. Well... maybe. So... Aurora is it?" The old lord paused as if he wanted her to answer... and then immediately kept talking as if he hadn't stopped. "I had figured this place would be place that my men knew of. It was a training ground that I had used maaaany years ago. The very one where I perfected the best techniques of my age with a sword. After all this is the birthplace of the God Slash, a mighty mighty technique. That matters not. A report was filed, a missing person's report from the Solider Core, a wife said her Husband never returned. Furthermore, I noticed another solider missing from his post this morning and thought I'd investigate. After all, I'm off duty for today is the day of the Benediction. The General is expected to arrive at the meeting of the Heads later tonight. This gave me the free time to investigate something within my notes that didn't sit well with me, and a discrepancy. And, as i happen to know the solider who was absent today has a bad habit... of coming towards the waterways on days off, or at the end of drills." It was hard to tell, but, it was quite possible and... most likely that he meant Ajax. However, he never said the solider's name. Probably for obvious reasons. The most likely of one being he would think she was out of place and maybe not involved in the situation. Whatever was up there brewing in his mind. He continued. "So, Miss... Aurora? I came here searching for a particular man who was not seen with the rest of the guard core this day. If you saw anyone else down here. I'd expect you'd tell me. After all, I do need to set this disappearance straight. I'll not have a young boy crying in my office and his mother insisting that I put together a search party to find him every morning. If you have information... I'd rather like if you gave it to me. Otherwise, i would rather like to reminsce. After all, this place was somewhere I trained every day, almost every hour once. When I was younger of course. I hope I would not be imposing on your home if I did so."

Aurora, Lord Cyllis Early Morning, The 1st day of the 1st month of the year of rebirth The old mantis quickly had his hand flash to his blade, not having seen the presence now speaking to him. However his old worn instinct told him... if they were going to attack, that would've been the greeting, not words. So, he sighed outwardly, before regaining his neutral composure. His palm rested on the pommel of the sword at his waist. The pommel of his well known katana, Old Man Summer. It was clear by the motif towards the handguard of the blade, an old man's mouth opening into the blade. It was made to look like his tongue hanging out of his mouth. It... was a really really strange sword. However it was for that reason a memorable one too. It was well known. Very well known. Any denizen of the Castle would recognize it. Hell, it was a symbol of fear for the Free Races for a long time. They sometimes called it the "Devil's Blade." Though they also had many rumours of it being evil and full of dark magic. None true, for it was just a normal sword. It's wielder was just a genius with a blade. This made it clear to Aurora she was dealing with the genuine article himself. The actual Lord Cyllis. It was he in the flesh and blood for certain. "I certainly didn't expect company. It is just as unexpected... so, who are you?" he said, a stiff and gruff voice if one was ever heard. One wondered if he was in a bad mood... or he just sounded that way. Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Early Morning "Well, Lotus as I'm sure you know on the first of every year there is the Benediction. The reaffirming of the Lord's of Night that came before, the restating of their benedictions and the personal delivery of the current Lord of Night's Benediction. Of course... Solomon's not arrived to do so in at least 40 years so the tradition isn't remembered quite as well as it used to be, but I'm getting sidetracked here." she said placing her hand in her lap. "It's another tradition however, that the heads of the departments get together every year and have a meal before the ceremonies. We typically do it for Lunch since Father Babble needs all the time he can get for the preparations and it eats into the least amount of his time. Typically, we each bring a servant with us of our choice." She started to giggle a little before putting her hand to her forehead. She leaned back ever so slightly in the chair she was seated in. "I'll be honest with you Lotus darling, that it's mostly because we need Babble's "babysitter" in the room with him at all times. He's a hard one to deal without her around so, she just put it into the tradition and to make it less obvious it was because of him, we just required every one bring one with them." She stood up and walked over to Lotus now, much like she had before and placed her hands on her shoulders. She looked her in the eyes with a wonderful smile on her face. "For the rest of us, our servants tend to be more special invitations. And how could I not bring along the beautiful girl who made me so beautiful today?"

In regards too? Keep in mind there's very limited numbers of each type of creature within the Castle. They don't really tend to split by race based Politics lol. It was sorta the point of this whole thing to bring the Dmaned races together and stop them from being fractured.

Father Babble, the Well of Nocturne, Time: 1st Day, of the 1st Month of the Year of Rebirth. Early Morning "I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally am getting too old for this nonsense." muttered a large form of a strange creature. This was, the unmistakable Father Babble, the Cardinal Priest of Castle Dour. It was he who oversaw the Well of Nocturne, a place believed in and of itself to be a holy sight created by the god of Night them self. Father Babble himself was not your typcial priest for he... was an Elder Jelly also sometimes known as a Flan. It was strange to see a Flan such as him shoved into a a robe and high priest attire. His chubby little face peeked over the top and the buttons strained near his belly. Being the lazy creature he was, he never had the time to suck in his gut and just hang even though as a creature made of jelly he could easily control his form. However, he was too lazy to do even that. It was a miracle he somehow kept this temple running smoothly. It was only his staff that dreading seeing the frumpy Elder Jelly. They knew he didn't put up with anything that was short of perfection. And despite how little he did other than directing the work flow, there wasn't much to be done. After all, Babble wasn't there for no reason. He was a powerful priest of Nocturne one that had been around for awhile. Either way the Elder Jelly twirled his silly little slime mustache as he crammed his face full of nearby sweets. They were for the Benediction later, however due to Babble's sweet tooth, he could really not help himself. So he jammed a bunch into his mouth as he then smiled like an idiot happy with himself with doing it. After all, not really anyone could tell him not to do it, what was the harm in taking a few? Of course, the nearby priests were not happy with him. They scowled with disdain. But there was nothing they could do to the old bastard of a Cardinal. So, they went back to their work. "Baaaarb! Barb? BARB!?!?" yelled Father Babble, looking for someone. A Beastwoman, that had the fangs of a snake and small scaling on her face came up over to the Babble, an angry expression on her face. However Babble, like always, was too stupid to notice. "Whaddaya want Babble? Can't you see I'm busy here?" the maid said... scowling at Father Babble. Venom dripped from her eyes. Babble... still didn't notice. "Heeeey, Barbara. Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl... how are the things for the Benediction coming along? Good right?" she rolled her eyes, of course this is why he was wasting her time... "They'd be getting done if you let me go do it. 'Chu know that...right?" "Huh? Oh yea I guess that's true. Loooooooooook. I'm just trying to make sure things are good.... cause like eeeeh... just I dunno I gotta get them done and stuffs and there's the deadline which is tonight and like we've been working so hard and stuff you know? You know. Like UUUugh I just wanna make sure things are ready and are up tooo snuff!" Babble said, getting increasingly excited as he was talking. He was even talking with his hands... in strange flailing motions. Really, he just didn't know what to do with all the energy in his body so it just started moving on it's own almost as nothing he was doing matched with what he was saying. "Look, Babble honey... I know. But you need to stop asking me every five seconds so I can get things done. Can you do that for me hon?" Babble spaceed out for a second, a blank expression came over his ace as he jsut lost his sense of reality for a second. He then turned to face Barbara having registered the question. "Oh? Oh... OH... Yea. I can do that Barb. I Can do that. Leave ya alone. I got it. OKIE DOKIE! Deeefnitely~. I got yooooou. Received looooooooooud and clear. That message, it went in my ear here... and it stayed in here so I know it now. I reeeeeeeeemember it." he went on for some time after this probably saying about every known way to say, I understood you. Barbara had see been any other Servant would've gooone insane by now. However she was Babble's personal servant... or as some liked to call her, his babysitter. Babble was kinda like a biiiig dumb kid lost in a candy store at times. He had an extremely short attention span and could only focus on things he actually cared about. Barbara was the only person who could ever handle the amount of headaches the chubby manchild got into near constantly. "Oh... this is bad for my blood pressure. All these Neeeeeeeeerves!!! The humaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanity!!!!" Babble wailed seemingly out of nowhere. Barbara couldn't help put put her hand up to her face. She took a deep breathe and tried to center herself for what it was worth. "Babble... you're fine honey. Your staff is handling it the way you want. And secondly... you don't even have blood. You're made of goo." 'Is there such a thing as goo pressure? I'm guessing there's such a thing as goo pressure... that be baaad. I can't have bad Gooooooooooo PREEEEEEEEESSURE!!! What would Momma Babble say? Bless her heart she'd be rollin' in her grave if she knew I had high goo pressure. " "Babble, try and calm down. Things are okay. You don't need to worry alright?" "Okay, Barbara. But, I just uuuuugh I need this to be peeeerfect!!!" Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Early Morning The process went relatively quickly despite them being understaffed. Sybil knew that this dress would typically take two servants to typically adorn her with, however when Lotus didn't call for anyone else, Sybil didn't really care. She'd give the girl the satisfaction of adorning her mistress with her own work. Sybil did everything she could to make the process easier on her servant without her noticing. Small things that she had learned throughout her own time with fancy clothing. There was after all, a time she had to adorn herself. She nearly laughed remembered the good old days. She was still fond of the memories even after all this time. Within time they quickly finished getting her dressed. It was a quick process the two had been in sync which cut down the time considerably even if Lotus had no idea about it. Sybil hoped that her servant would not notice and instead think her job by itself was even better. She was a hard worker and one that put the most thought into her work. So, she thought she deserved to be even more happy with it. A little white lie a little slight of hand wouldn't hurt the girl. "Ah... don't I look wonderful?" Sybil said before taking the gloves and heels from Lotus. She spun around in her dress. the trail followed suit a cascade of crimson fabric. Beautiful. Serene. Sybil smiled as she span aster and faster. "I feel so wonderful, thank you Lotus. You have done beautiful work. And it will adorn me, I feel honoured to wear this beautiful dress this dress you put all of your heart into. This dress you put so much love and care into. I will cherish that I and only I may have it grace my form." She said as she stopped spinning. She looked onto Lotus with a fondness in her eyes. "So, arise dear Lotus. Let your eyes not gaze downward, but at the beauty you created. After all, it's your labour that it exists in the world now. I think that you should be able to look all you want." she said with a small giggle as she took her heels and the gloves from Lotus's outstretched hands. She slipped on her shoes first, not wanting to have any possibility of damaging the gloves Lotus had given her. And then she slipped on the gloves. They went a least her elbow ending right blow it as to to restrict the movement of her bending her arms. Once again, Lotus proved her self an excellent tailor and one who really knew how to make use of her space, to adorn a body in a way that was pleasing to the eyes and enhanced it's form rather than take away from it. Aurora, Lord...Cyllis? Early Morning, The 1st day of the 1st month of the year of rebirth It wasn't very long before Aurora found another figure rounding around the corner into her den. However, this figure would not be one she would think of seeing in a million years. A large and imposing shape loomed in the darkness until it came easily into focus. It was the sight of a man everyone knew, but not a man many would have to deal with on a common basis. It was a man of high status, in fact, the highest status within the army of the castle. A Man, by the name of Lord Cyllis. O course he was no real lord only a man with enough arrogance to proclaim himself one, however it was undeniable that he had the talent and the drive. Or at least he had. The Old man was withered beyond his years however despite this he was probably the strongest warrior within Castle Dour's walls. He was a Mantis man, so in way, like Aurora he was the hybrid of a insect or arachnid, and a human. Insectoids were the closest to Arachnoids in truth, though they were still very different. His old chitin glistened in the darkness from the reflections of the water that were cast nearly everywhere. It made his approach all the easier to see. The mantis gave off a regal air that was to be respected. His chitin on his chin was a mock beard but it added to his sense of being well maintained and trimmed, despite the fact he never had to trim it. However, what the hell was he doing down here? It wasn't normal of such a high ranking official to be down here... was it? Whatever he was doing He probably had yet to see Aurora as Mantismen weren't known for their great dark vision. The Mystery... however.. why would he be here? It was a very tempting question to have be answered.

Lotus Contiello, Countess Sybil Contiello Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth. Early Morning Sybil sprung up with purpose in her step. After all she was more or less a perfectionist so even the feel of the dress had to be perfect from someone like her. It was well known how particular she was about her clothing. VERY. It was a well known fact throughout the castle. As a result, one that made clothes for her of all people... had better know what they were doing otherwise they wouldn't last long. It's was something you just didn't royally mess up around the Countess. Well, if you valued your life anyway. SO her reputation seemed to be anyway. Looks were important to her above all else. She made sure to tailor her look exactly how she wanted it, to put off the exact air she was looking for. Beautiful... but dangerous. Sybil wasn't a woman to be trifled with, not even lightly. So most made sure not to. However she began now to inspect the dress. She ran her hands along it, feeling the fabric with her fingers. She gently caressed the dress almost as if it were made of something fragile. She took great care to not harm the work of a loyal servant. She studied the intricate patterns sewn into the dress the care that went into every single angle to make it beautiful. She traced them with her delicate fingers. She didn't show much emotion on her face though this was typical. However, Lotus would still know she was happy to some extent. Her eyes could be seen smiling. They looked softly on the dress with so much fondness in them. It was only a servant that had been around her this long that would be able to tell the small shift in her facial expression. After all, Sybil was more or less a master of hiding her emotions from just anybody. But having worked with her long enough, one started to get used to the way she worked, the way she expressed herself subtly. The beautiful woman walked over to Lotus without a word she put her hands on her shoulders before looking at her and smiling warmly. She brushed any hair that was in Lotus's eyes out of her face to get a better look at her servant. "It's wonderful Lotus, you do such good work." she said as she leaned down and kissed Lotus on her forehead. "it's so beautiful in fact, that I want to wear it today, I want people to see my wonderful beauty and I want the wonderful servant who made it to be at my side today! They will know who you are darling. You work is beautiful more beautiful then anything anyone else has given to me." She sad this walking back with a flourish. The night gown itself followed suit the bottom of it trailing with her in a flurry. A torrent of silk. If there was anything known about Sybil... it was that she had a flair for theatrics. She always seemed over the top in most of the things she did. This was no exception. She turned back to face Lotus, a almost carnal look in her eyes. "So, Lotus, make me beautiful..." she said as she dropped her nightgown. She now stood before her servant in, well... nothing but her skin. Her pale marble skin. She looked like a statue almost, the form of ideal beauty. She was the living image of true beauty, perfection in every sense. She looked as though she was a piece of art that had come to life. She looked expectantly at her servant waiting for Lotus to gather that which was needed to dress her. Sybil was obviously not abashed standing here in front of a servant nude. So much to the fact that she hadn't even thought to lock the door to her parlor. After all, she didn't mind if anyone saw her natural beauty. It only furthered how tempting she was. After all, nothing was more potent than allure in all of it's forms. Azegeor. Time: 1st day of the First Month of the Year of Rebirth. Early Morning, close to the 9th hour. It was know in motion. The plan had been laid. The master of it's make walked down the hall by his lonesome to reminisce before the hour was at hand. After all, this was the day he had been waiting for. For nearly 40 years now, had he waited. 40 years when it became all to clear Solomon no longer was sane as he had once been. His boots clicked on the stone of the floor. They clicked metal on stone. He enjoyed the sound a nice reminder of every step he took towards his goal. Towards the freedom of the Damned. With each foot step echoed the approaching of progress. He would reach the throne and he would end the suffering of monsters. One way... or another. He pondered now as the meeting had ended if Heinrich would actually fall through on his part of the bargain. After all the man was always more bark than bite. He talked a good game, but never played one. He was good at words not actions. This required action. However, it was Tempest Azegeor had trust in. She was the actual threat and the one that would do the most in this plan. He hadn't told this to Heinrich for obvious reasons, but it was mostly Tempest he was relying on to get the job done in time for his arrival. Heinrich would be a good distraction at the least, so it was still worth having him there. Azegeor however, couldn't shake the words of the Figure of White. What did she mean by them? Did she see that he would fail? How could the apparent ripples of the world know of that? Know of the future that had yet to happen? Who was this "Times" she mentioned? So many questions. It why he hated that the Figure of White was part of the equation. She never gave answers and only more and more questions. He wondered if she really knew the ripples of the world or if she was just really good at guessing events. Either way he hated having to include her in the plans to remove Solomon. The issue was she'd find out like it or not. And it was best to not anger the Figure of White. If Castle Dour had a true ruler, a true most powerful denizen... it was her. The rumours that surrounded her alone made it obvious that she was powerful unlike any other. Azegeor wondered if she was even more powerful than him. He wondered why if she had this much control over the Castle... why she never took it's throne. That scared hi m more than anything else. If a being was this all knowing, this powerful, why wasn't it the one in power? Her powers rivaled that of gods, or at least so it seemed. Azegeor even knew that she was more powerful a healer than any he had ever known. She could revive the dead. It was nearly impossible especially for the remains of an undead creature, but she could bring back anyone, she could make the bones of a fallen skeletal warrior breathe the life of the same energy that had once left them. he had that power, a power that was lost pretty much entirely to the world. However, the price for it was steep. Very steep. One would almost say you had to damn yourself to save another. That it would never be something worth it. This being however, had no interest in ever leaving that Chamber. That pale that even the rashest of Dour's citizens knew to stay the hell away from. She never was seen leaving that chamber. In fact, the only thing of her ever seen was her hands and the hair that ung over the back of her giant wooden throne. On one could ever get close to her. Not even those brought there for healing. She refused to let anyone near here. To the point of deadly assault for even attempting. She used the "mirror" to see apparently, however as it was known to Azegeor, the Mirror was entirely black. It didn't give a reflection. He had no idea how she saw anything within it. It had to be some sort of magic he didn't understand. That angered him more then anything else. Not understanding magic. It's the point of the form he was in now. To better understand magic. So not knowing a part of it drove him nearly mad. Either way, he pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind as he paced back and forth. As he waiting for the clock to slowly tick down to the hour of happening. The hour of Solomon's end. Tick, tock, tick, tock.
